Don’t bother to book. We booked for 8 people for brunch. Got there on time and no tables available. Very annoying and unprofessional. Lovely place right across the road though 👍

Most miserable waitress we've ever encountered. Evening of 25th May. Only one other table and every small request (salt for instance) was like I was asking her for a kidney. Didn't see her smile once. Slammed food and drinks on the table. The pizzas were unbelievably greasy. We used napkins to get some of the oil off as so bad. Decent prices for London but would never return. A really bad dining experience We saw into kitchen as we were leaving and it was a MESS.

Amazing breakfast, not even too expensive. Would recommend to anyone, romantic feel to the cafe too ! 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌟

The restaurant smells of rancid fat. The food is not European, it is English / American. The quality of the food is slightly below average. The interior is pleasantly designed, but you have an open view of the kitchen and storage rooms from the bar (why do restaurants do this, who what’s to see the buckets of mayonnaise, and the deep fryers?). Cleaning tools (buckets mops, where stored against a restaurant wall. Service is pleasant. The sad thing is that the space is one of the few double width spaces in the area and it is completely wasted by this sub-par restaurant.

Went for breakfast and was given a table at the back out of sight of the staff. They were clearly overstretched and, as a result, the service was unacceptable. My first and last visit I'm afraid.

What a breakfast! A Zacks big breakfast and Eggs Benedict, lovely eggs! Perfectly poached, chorizo sausage was different - soda bread nice, waitress was friendly and attentive - I would recommend if staying in the area, much better than your hotel breakfasts - only suggestion would be to get some gluten free bread in?

Had a long weekend celebrating wedding anniversary this bistro was just across the road from hotel and perfect for breakfast and a lunch both were really good on all the days we went in. I asked the chef what was his secret for poached eggs and he showed me in his kitchen and explained fully. Superb service all round.

This restaurant served variety of sweets and good food. Must try their cakes and pastries. People are accommodating and service is excellent. The ambiance as well is very relaxing. Thumbs up!!!!

5 - excellent food in a very clean but welcoming environment. We came for lunch and then came back the next day for brunch. Both meals were executed extremely well and were delicious. Really really recommend this place. Really good value for money for central London.

We enjoyed breakfast outdoors at this casual cafe after a long flight from the United States. The scrambled eggs were flavorful and the hot chocolate was delightful! We enjoyed watching the people and taxis go by. It was right near our hotel so it was a convenient spot. The service was good.

We were looking for something reasonably quick and suitable for a toddler, so this bistro seemed perfect. There was a smattering of patrons outside, but the inside was more or less empty. The environment was very cozy though and there was a child seat available. Our waitress gets full points for friendliness, but that’s about it. She appeared to know nothing about the beers on tap, and then when I decided on a lager she came back to inform me they didn’t have it. Not wanting the alternatives, I in the end choose water which the waitress forgot to bring over. The dinner menu is limited. My wife opted for the burger, I choose the Caesar salad with a side of calamari. Everything took a long time to be served, and we were hungry with a tired toddler .. but to their credit the food was hot and the fries good, as was the calamari. There was only one waitress and it looked like one chef in the kitchen. The food itself was fine .. the salad was average at best with no croutons and mainly lettuce. The burger was passable but absolutely nothing special. Not worth the money This is somewhere between 2 - 3 stars, based on the friendliness of the waitress I will give it 3. Needless to say, I wont be back.

Food was average and cold. Many things on menu were not available. We arrived for breakfast at 9am several seats available and was told they couldn’t make a specific item because they were too busy.

Luckily we found zacks beautiful restaurant by chance after walking out of a frosty reception from pizza express! Thank goodness as the food at Zacks was amazing, it was reasonably priced and the Manager made us feel like he was welcoming us into his home....

Stumbled across this while looking for breakfast in the area. We were so impressed. Delicious eggs benedict with chorizo and spiced potatoes and coffee was lovely too. Staff were very friendly and the decor is beautiful. Sound track playing was also spot on.

Zack’s is an independent cafe / bistro in Gloucester Rd. Their flat whites are excellent. It’s a nice place to sit alone and people watch. The egg and avocado on toast is extremely good. Hoping these new Covid lockdown restrictions don’t drive places like Zack’s...

What a find! We like to eat early evening and this place was ideal. Food was well cooked and presented, service polite and efficient and we all agreed we'd recommend it to our friends.

We stayed in a four star hotel just a few yards away from Zack's and had a rather disappointing breakfast on our first morning, so decided to try Zack's instead the next day. We were so glad we did as it was such a lovely breakfast, lots of choice, good quality food and plenty of it.

The ladies at the bistrot are extremely helpful and nice, they make sure everyone feels welcomed, are friendly and smile even though they are sometimes very busy.

Abbiamo cenato qui ma praticamente non abbiamo mangiato. Il locale era pieno di fumo, quasi non si respirava, hanno dovuto aprire la porta. Io e mio marito abbiamo ordinato una insalata, io una col pollo chiedendola senza rucola, mio marito una insalata avocado. La sua è arrivata senza avocado,la mia con la rucola, nonostante avessi chiesto senza rucola. Abbiamo ordinato 2 bruschette con olive, ma erano 3 pezzi di pane, di cui 1 abbrustolito e 2 no, con una ciotola di olive del vasetto a parte e una ciotola di olio di semi con aceto balsamico galleggiante. Ridicolo. Il bambino ha preso una pizza cotto, ma ha aspettato un sacco di tempo e poi la pizza era un calzone bruciato sotto, crudo dentro e con pezzi di prosciutto cotto non affettato ma a grumi di 3-4 cm di diametro. Non abbiamo mangiato la pizza e siamo scappati. Costo complessivo: 51 £!!! Un furto! Vergognoso. Il

We’d just arrived, found the hotel and booked in and needed to eat. This place was near to where we were staying, a family owned place, not a chain, so we tried here. Another factor being it was, biblically, raining! We each had a pizza, my wife had a ‘dish of the day’ pizza, a white pizza, various cheeses with smoked salmon, I had the ‘fishy’ sort as always. They were both excellent, hot, good base, decent sized, plenty of toppings. A couple of bottle beers and no puds for us, although there was a very tempting selection on offer. Decent price, friendly staff, clean, quick, nothing to fault it - would go back again for sure.

As we were staying in the area and needed dinner we wandered around Gloucester Road looking at the variety of restaurants and spotted Zacks which looked inviting and the menu reasonably priced.

Despite a very nice service and a charming venue, the food was terrible. I order a "fresh orange juice" and I was given a sparking sprite coloraturas orange, absolutely undrinkable. I ordered their famous "Royale eggs Benedict", and this was really bad compared to what you can find anywhere else: the hollandaise sauce was cold, so were the two eggs. And the two peaces of toasted bread on which the eggs were so tough that I almost broke a tooth. Bread cold, of course, as it was from the day before.

Friendly, accommodating, convivial- the service here, I could not fault. This coupled with a great pizza; light, crispy and full of flavor. If given a choice between the chain restaurant up the road or here - come here, no doubts! If you do, enjoy!

After a long day trip to Stonehenge I was let off the bus at Gloucester Road. I had a craving for pizza and came upon this small restaurant by chance. Although it was simply decorated with metal tables and chairs, I sensed that a good pizza might come out of here. I ordered a Margarita, which I devoured all by myself , accompanied by an Italian beer. The subsequent espresso and cannoli with chocolate filling were also very satisfactory.

Relaxed, gracious service and good Italian food. Close to Gloucester Road. Pizza, pasta, dessert. Well prepared and presented.

Do not go there! The worst pasta I have ever had in London. Way overpriced and a disgusting tiramisu!

Having enjoyed the porridge at breakfast, we returned for an evening meal. We ordered spaghetti with chicken and spaghetti with meatballs. The pasta was barely cooked - not even al dente - and the tomato sauce was concentrated and unmodified, as it would be if served straight from a can or bottle and heated up. The meatballs had clearly been precooked and reheated, as they were quite tough, and the chicken consisted of sliced chicken schnitzel. The glass of Spanish shiraz I ordered was disappointing. The bill, £49, seemed excessive and the food definitely not worth that.

Zack's is an artisan style Italian restaurant, where the food is homemade. I was staying at a hotel in London last week, just a block away from this restaurant, and decided to try their pasta for dinner one evening. The pasta was excellent, and the tiramisu for dessert was amazing. The service/staff was friendly, I thought.

Beautifully decorated, service poor and food worse. Would not recommend this place to anyone looking for any quality food.

I walk in and the man behind the counter ignores me. I address him 3 times, politely, from a couple of feet away. He simply ignored me completely. I should have left immediately. The food turned out to be truly awful and pricey.

From the outside it looks like a lovely little cafe and the location is great. However, the service and food were very poor. You felt like an inconvenience the whole time you were there. Our coffee took 20 minutes to come, however it was decent when it finally arrived. The food was a disaster, we both ordered eggs Benedict - one of our favorites, but it was ruined but multiple pieces of shell in the eggs, we're not talking about 1 or 2 pieces, there was shell in almost every bite.

An attractive restaurant with an inviting ambiance and menu. First signs were encouraging and we were seated for lunch at 1.20 pm then to be told that if we wanted pizza we would need to wait until 2.00pm Not wanting to wait that long, we ordered salads with garlic bread but were then told garlic bread was also only available from 2.00pm . We ordered meatballs as a replacement and an assortment of drinks. The drinks came quite quickly and were OK but no food ....we waited ....and waited and finished our drinks. When other diners who came in after us were served we asked where our food was. It's busy we were told.....and we waited. Eventually without apology the food arrived. It was OK but not worth the wait and of course we had finished our drinks. The worst of it was that other diners were busy eating pizzas when we left. Had we known our order would take so long, we would have almost certainly waited for the eccentric pizza schedule to kick in! Service of 12.5% (which was sniffy and without a smile) was included in the bill! Not a good lunchtime experience and I would discourage visiting here when there are better options close by. Pizzas not served until after 2.00pm! What's that about anyway?

Avoid. Avoid, unless you only like pizza and don't mind terrible customer service. I feel very sorry for the lady who, to my surprise, turned out to be the more senior server, and who I genuinely think doesn't understand what is appropriate in terms of dealing with customers. She offered apologies for the other server, who had tried her best, whereas this lady could not read any signals, was slow to apologise for incorrect pasta orders, suggested it was busy by way of sn explanation (it was less thsn 20% full) and could not politely ask one of my children to move when i was invisible, on the loo ("move move move"). When I explained that I would not be paying the whole bill and tried to explain why, she could not listen, or recognise / acknowledge her own off-putting attitude. I had to spell out that it was her. All of this was far worse than the series of disappointments of undercooked pasta (*not* al dente), burnt garlic bread, wrong meals and very uneven arrival of dishes, and pretty much left me feeling sorry for everyone there. Management / owners: this is a serious training need. Please don't sack them; give them training. Also, don't cough over the stack of water glasses when carrying.

Lo encontramos por casualidad la última noche en Londres. La decoración del restaurante está muy cuidada. La camarera española nos pareció muy agradable y atenta.

Nos quedamos cerca y queríamos comer fuera. Tropecé con Zack y realmente quería comer allí. Londres estaba experimentando una ola de calor la semana que estuvimos allí. Se tomaron todas las mesas exteriores y hacía demasiado calor para comer en el interior, combinando la temperatura del aire y los hornos para las pizzas cerca del comedor. Así que nos decidimos por otro restaurante. Sin embargo, decidimos volver por la mañana para el desayuno. Mucho más fresco y la comida era buena, la señorita que nos atendió fue educada y atenta. Volvería, pero tal vez no durante una ola de calor.

Four of us had breakfast at Zack's. Menu is interesting and it's a nice setting. Service was slow and surly. Food took a very long time and two of four dishes arrived cold. Not a great experience.

Ik twijfel tussen heel goed en uitstekend. Zack's is een beetje de Pain Quotidien van de pizzeria's. sommige lange tafels waaraan groepen kunnen zitten of mensen mekaar kunnen leren kennen. De pizza's zijn ovenvers en super lekker. Ook de desserts zijn home made en veel te lekker. Zoals alles in Londen is ook dit te duur maar it was a very nice experience. De bediening is vriendelijk en heeft aandacht voor de gasten.

Very good. I ordered the margarita pizza and the garlic bread. The pizza was served quickly and was quite delectable. The garlic bread was delicious. It is a great place for tourists staying at the nearby hotels to get a relatively quick but great tasting lunch or dinner.

I never relish eating alone but it’s a very cute venue, right where I needed it. I went for the Carbonara which was fine but the meat element wasn’t great, just too fatty for me! Service was good - pleasant and not over-bearing!!

We stopped the first time for coffee and pastries in way to bus stop. Then we stopped tonight for dinner. We ordered the Carbonara and Spaghetti with Meatballs- both we amazing! Pasta is fresh- sooo yummy and the staff was very friendly!

I went to Zacks a number of times over my London stay. It is ok..nothing more. Service varied hugely. As an example of this I went to the counter to order a meal. The duty manager insisted I take a menu and go to a table and he would come and take the order. Even though I new what I wanted and was ready to order. I dutifully did what was requested. He never came back. I waited 10 mibutes then left. Other times the service was good and the eggs on toast with avocado a good choice.

We staying in the Kensington area, and really we just wanted to have something light and nutritious. Luckily we came across this little cosy cafe, aka. Zack's bistrot, and we order salads. I've never had a so generous avocado salad before. It was wonderful and the service was genuinely friendly and professional. Great espresso too! Loved it.

We had breakfast here today and had to wait for it to open late at which point we were treated with hostility - service was terrible - food was worse - takeaway muffin was dry and inedible and we got charged 12.5% for the privilege of the terrible service. Can’t recommend this place at all despite its appealing decor. Wish we had kept walking.

Zack’s has been a great little find during my short stay in London. I have enjoyed lovely breakfast and decent coffee each of my four days here. I have had great service that is both friendly and efficient. One lady served me at both breakfast and also when I returned in the evening for dinner... even after such a long shift, she was still as friendly and smiley! The food is great and I recommend Zack’s to anyone passing through the area.

Probamos este lugar para desayunar dos veces en las últimas dos semanas, gran variedad, pero me gustaron especialmente los huevos Benedict. El café es excelente y el servicio es aceptable dado que es una opción popular y muy concurrida. Decidimos probarlo para la cena y quedamos impresionados con los entrantes, especialmente la Bruschetta y la elección de Pizza Aartisana que tenía el pepperoni italiano, mi compañero probó la Pasta Fresca La Carbonara estaba muy contento. En conclusión, recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar.
