Very good food, pleasant service.

Weary travelers settling in for our first meal in the country... we LOVED it. Arrived in London on a Sunday, and we opted to order ahead for a Sunday Roast. Service was excellent and very accommodating for a family of 5 with 3 little kids who had just travelled overnight from the US. LOVE! Will be back next time we're visiting.

Came in for a Sunday roast with some girlfriends. Upon being seated, we were asked if we wanted any drinks - we asked for some tap water for now. It took 15+ minutes to come back to our table with any water, but not before we were asked by another staff member if we wanted something to drink, to which we explained we'd mentioned to their colleague we'd asked for some water already. When food came, it was fantastic. Full marks for the rump, pork belly and lamb roasts with a side of cauliflower cheese. The sticky toffee pudding is deliciously decadent and just the right size. The only thing that could have been improved was a bit more prompt service to order and get the bill. Otherwise, a proper pub with a proper roast!

After spending five nights in Paris, we came to London on a Sunday, and made reservations here for Sunday roast. This may sound outrageous, but this honestly was the very best meal we had of our entire trip!! Every single component of the dish was incredible, from the beef roast to the amazingly crispy potatoes. The only thing we were sad about was that we had no room to try the sticky toffee pudding. The place was buzzing with activity inside and out, but did not feel overly crowded. This was a great way to start our trip to London!

I came back to this pub after a few months, hoping to relive the great atmosphere and excellent food I remembered — but sadly, something has definitely changed. And not for the better. The current staff are a far cry from the previous team who knew exactly how to run things with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism. The difference is striking — the energy, the service, the attention to detail — all of it feels completely off now. The menu has also changed, and not in a good way. I have the strong impression the chef has changed too — and if not, then the quality has certainly taken a noticeable dip. The food just doesn’t have the same care or flavour it once had. All in all, a disappointing return to a place that used to be one of my favourites

The Ladbroke Arms is your quintessential British pub—but polished, styled-up, and very Notting Hill. We came on a sunny Saturday around 3:30 PM. From the street, it looked packed, but most of the action was outside with the pint crowd. Inside, it was much calmer—ideal for a relaxed meal with my mom. We ordered the battered haddock (call it what it is—fish and chips), a scotch egg, and the beetroot salad. The fish was perfect: crisp, fresh, and cleanly plated. If you’re looking for a refined, non–greasy spoon take on the classic, this is absolutely that. The scotch egg was a beast—impressive in size and construction, but could’ve used a little more flavor. Would I go back? Maybe. Would I recommend it? Definitely. It delivers an experience that feels curated but not precious. If you’re after something with a bit more grit, you might look elsewhere—but for a handsome, confident version of a London pub, this fits the bill.

Perfect experience! The dishes were delicious, of very good quality and the restaurant team was very friendly. Of course a little noisy like any English pub but a nice typical establishment!

Came here a couple of weeks ago for my girlfriend’s birthday and we were slightly underwhelmed by the overall experience. The food was excellent - not the best Sunday Roast I’ve had in London but certainly a good one, the rich gravy was a highlight and the beef and Yorkshire pudding were excellent quality. The let down was the service and experience unfortunately. We were sat right by the door (someone has to sit there I guess!) which meant a near constant draft as it opened and closed - speaks to how popular the pub is but not a great experience. And it was almost impossible to get any service. We had to flag down waiters for everything - to order drinks, food, desserts, get the bill etc. I understand not wanting to be overly attentive but it felt we had been totally forgotten on several occasions! I think we just got unlucky on the day but felt a bit of a let down given the reviews and the occasion.

Good honest pub, with great food and enjoyable environment.

This is the first pub I went to in London where I got rude treatment but honestly I don’t hold It against them; they were simply too busy to accommodate single person parties. That being said they have a house cask conditioned bitter that is great so I still recommend it for beer enthusiasts… just make sure you don’t come solo!

Mi familia y yo visitando Estados Unidos vinimos aquí para almorzar el lunes y fue fantástico; el pescado y las patatas fritas estaban deliciosos! El rebozado en el pescado era tan ligero y las salsas que lo acompañaban (en particular el puré de guisantes y la salsa de pepinillo) eran increíbles! El huevo escocés también estaba absolutamente delicioso. El servicio era tan fantástico como la comida; nuestro servidor era Justin. Era atento, amable y apasionado por su trabajo y la empresa. Sin duda recomendaría.

One of my favourite pubs in London! Food’s amazing, staffs are all friendly. Recently had my mom’s birthday dinner here, it did not disappoint. Traditional pub with restaurant level food and good selection of drinks.

Sunday Dinner at its finest! Well-appointed awards for sure ❤️ The roasted beetroot salad was unique but delicious and the Picanha roast was mouthwatering and tender. This is what dream dinners are made of! We also ordered Mockapolitan and sorbets for dessert. Inviting and cozy, the atmosphere is exactly what you hope for if you want an amazing British experience. Well done team!

Honestly - I’ve lived in London for a while - this is not your authentic experience of a pub. We were rudely served. Honestly, go elsewhere. Overpriced and bad atmosphere. Never coming back. 🙃

Typical pub with beautiful decor, simply excellent, I didn't expect the dishes to be so refined, presentation at the height of a very very good restaurant and perfect quantities, wide choice of beer in a good pub and careful and efficient service . The prices are more than fair given the quality. Great time!!

One of the best places in London to get a Sunday Roast! The service was friendly and attentive, the decor is classy and the roasts are to die for! I've tried both the beef (picanha) and the pork and both are 10/10. The cabbage is a change from classic roasts but it works so well. The potatos are so crispy and soft at the same time. And they don't skimp on the gravy! They have great gluten free knowledge and my coeliac partner could eat everything minus the Yorkshire pudding. The price is expensive (averages £25 for the roasts) but absolutely worth it! Highly recommend!

Excellent English pub, typical and mastered cuisine with a short menu and quality ingredients. Everything is there, the atmosphere, the decor, the service and the food, all in an alley a little away from the tourist hustle and bustle of the neighborhood. Special mention for the egg scotch, fish and chips and pork pie!

Eating outside in late September! The team were super nice and the food was delicious. Birthday lunch win for my partner. Watermelon margarita was also a highlight!

Great Sunday Roast and we were surprised by how family-friendly the restaurant. We had a toddler in tow and she loved the food as well! We pre-ordered our roast dishes and added an artichoke soup which was delightful. The gravy was superb and the toddler was practically drinking it. Great food and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I really wanted to eat a Sunday roast, so I made a reservation about a week in advance and visited this place! It's a cozy restaurant located in a residential area (?), and it seems to be a friendly place with a lot of local regulars. The beef is really soft and the pork belly is really crispy! The garnished vegetables and pastry all came together harmoniously and were delicious! The toffee pudding was also really sweet and delicious. The service was really friendly, and I left with a full stomach. Thanks to you, it was a pleasant Sunday!😊

Lucky to get a table without a reservation. After a long day walking around the city, the fish 🐟 and chips 🍟couldn’t be a better treat. It was amazing beyond measure. The crispness complemented the most flaky fish. With great chips and gerkhin ketchup. Compliments to the very lovely staff, we enjoyed every moment of our dinner 🌟

I took my best friend out for her birthday to try what I believe is the best Sunday roast in London. There was a bit of a mix-up with our order, and we ended up waiting a while for our food. However, Tom and Sam turned things around and made sure we eventually got exactly what we ordered. I can only imagine how stressful it must be for the staff when things like this happen – no one wants disappointed and hungry customers! But thanks to Sam's positive attitude, some delicious pints, and the long-awaited roast, we left feeling perfectly full and pleasantly tipsy. It turned out to be a memorable birthday meal!

Sunday Roast as if Mom made it. Light fluffy Yorkshire pudding, fork tender beef, smooth tasty gravy. Carrots were amazing. Staff treated us as locals even though we were clearly tourists, lol. Would go again and again!!

Nice surprise in this quiet and very pleasant pub, about 8 minutes' walk from the crowds of tourists on Portobello Road. Recommended for a quick lunch and/or a good beer. Small outdoor terrace, charming staff, neat decor.

When in the area, I usually go to another pub, but this day we changed plans and went here. The food is of an exceptionally high standard! Service to match and well worth a detour.

We absolutely loved this place - the atmosphere is great, located alongside a quite Street away from the tourists of NH. The food was the best pub food we’d for a long time, lots of flavour on the polenta and the fish and chips for once didn’t swim in oil but was light and fluffy. Service was very friendly and efficient. Can’t wait to come back!

Chef did an amazing job once it was our turn - took over 30 mins to take order then over an hour for starters to arrive. Nicoise salad is worth returning for, didn’t ask about other starters but do know that everyone enjoyed their mains. Waitress was run ragged - but she and colleague were very helpful and definitely gave it 100%. We think too many covers for too small a kitchen! No regrets - is a gorgeous setting and not being rushed off table is a bonus in this day and age (see, having to wait!) so was the perfect spot for visiting family. Good food, great atmosphere with top service

One of the better pubs in the area - tucked away in a side street and it is full of character. People I met here came from around the world and you never know what you get every time. We love it. Food here is great and we are keen to come back for a roast. One thing I’d change is the price of their drinks, a tad more expensive than others in the area and it adds up after a few.

My son and I hit the Ladbroke Arms for a later Sunday roast after 2 other restaurants we went to had already stopped serving. We were very pleased as the meals were well portioned and very tasty with meat, potatoes, three kinds of vegetables and yorkshire pudding

The atmosphere is delightful the patrons v friendly and the food absolutely delicious! As a person with Parkinson’s I found the toilets incredibly small and difficult to navigate, they were however very clean

We were looking for a local pub and felt we found it here! It was a Saturday night so we made a reservation earlier that same day, which I would recommend, as walk ins were waiting up to an hour. The atmosphere is perfect, and the food was delicious. My mom and I both got the fish and chips. The homemade tartar sauce was divine! I also had the Portobello Pilsner, and it was perfect. Highly recommend!

Booked a table there on 12 May, but the pub had toilet problems from opening, and yet the staff couldn't be bothered to let us know, not even properly when I rang - 4 attempts, as they don't answer their phone - to apologise that train delays meant I'd be late. I was told to come and have a drink at the bar and that our table would be delayed by an hour. Then 15 minutes later we got a call saying not to come, just as we got out of the tube station. We'd travelled from the other side of London as we'd heard good things about this pub. Clearly they don't care about customer service, just tips that they don't even have to work for. Disgusting attitude towards customers. Updated 27 May - had a call and a lovely long chat with the manager, Magda, who was genuinely as disappointed as we were. We've reached a satisfactory resolution 😊

Great pub - staff were friendly, drinks were good (especially the wine list, which is top notch), and the food was a real standout. Dogs were also welcome in the front area of the pub (but not the restaurant area at the back).

Had a wonderful lunch here! It was a beautiful sunny London day so we sat outside - the street is very quiet which made for a super peaceful meal. The service was great and the food feels elevated without being too fancy. The mushroom and polenta is a great veggie option.
