One of my favourite pubs in London! Food’s amazing, staffs are all friendly. Recently had my mom’s birthday dinner here, it did not disappoint. Traditional pub with restaurant level food and good selection of drinks.

Sunday Dinner at its finest! Well-appointed awards for sure ❤️ The roasted beetroot salad was unique but delicious and the Picanha roast was mouthwatering and tender. This is what dream dinners are made of! We also ordered Mockapolitan and sorbets for dessert. Inviting and cozy, the atmosphere is exactly what you hope for if you want an amazing British experience. Well done team!

Honestly - I’ve lived in London for a while - this is not your authentic experience of a pub. We were rudely served. Honestly, go elsewhere. Overpriced and bad atmosphere. Never coming back. 🙃

We absolutely loved this place, came here twice. Both times everything was great - service, food, drinks. Fish and chips - really delicious! Sticky toffee pudding is just a delight. And what generous portions! Definitely recommend this place!

This place was awesome!! The service was very friendly and kind, atmosphere was warm and cozy. The food was actually quite memorable. We got the scotch egg, burrata, and artichoke soup all were phenomenal. 10/10. Will definitely come back next time in London!

Typical pub with beautiful decor, simply excellent, I didn't expect the dishes to be so refined, presentation at the height of a very very good restaurant and perfect quantities, wide choice of beer in a good pub and careful and efficient service . The prices are more than fair given the quality. Great time!!

Address away from the crowd with a perfect quality of welcome and catering! The dishes are fine, well cooked... and the Hake from the fish and chips... so fresh! Local atmosphere not to be missed

One of the best places in London to get a Sunday Roast! The service was friendly and attentive, the decor is classy and the roasts are to die for! I've tried both the beef (picanha) and the pork and both are 10/10. The cabbage is a change from classic roasts but it works so well. The potatos are so crispy and soft at the same time. And they don't skimp on the gravy! They have great gluten free knowledge and my coeliac partner could eat everything minus the Yorkshire pudding. The price is expensive (averages £25 for the roasts) but absolutely worth it! Highly recommend!

Excellent English pub, typical and mastered cuisine with a short menu and quality ingredients. Everything is there, the atmosphere, the decor, the service and the food, all in an alley a little away from the tourist hustle and bustle of the neighborhood. Special mention for the egg scotch, fish and chips and pork pie!

Eating outside in late September! The team were super nice and the food was delicious. Birthday lunch win for my partner. Watermelon margarita was also a highlight!

Great Sunday Roast and we were surprised by how family-friendly the restaurant. We had a toddler in tow and she loved the food as well! We pre-ordered our roast dishes and added an artichoke soup which was delightful. The gravy was superb and the toddler was practically drinking it. Great food and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Stumbled upon this place and LOVED everything about it! We are from America and this was the quintessential local pub experience with truly delicious food. Already planning on coming back before we head home. Gotta get the fish and chips!

I really wanted to eat a Sunday roast, so I made a reservation about a week in advance and visited this place! It's a cozy restaurant located in a residential area (?), and it seems to be a friendly place with a lot of local regulars. The beef is really soft and the pork belly is really crispy! The garnished vegetables and pastry all came together harmoniously and were delicious! The toffee pudding was also really sweet and delicious. The service was really friendly, and I left with a full stomach. Thanks to you, it was a pleasant Sunday!😊

Lucky to get a table without a reservation. After a long day walking around the city, the fish 🐟 and chips 🍟couldn’t be a better treat. It was amazing beyond measure. The crispness complemented the most flaky fish. With great chips and gerkhin ketchup. Compliments to the very lovely staff, we enjoyed every moment of our dinner 🌟

I took my best friend out for her birthday to try what I believe is the best Sunday roast in London. There was a bit of a mix-up with our order, and we ended up waiting a while for our food. However, Tom and Sam turned things around and made sure we eventually got exactly what we ordered. I can only imagine how stressful it must be for the staff when things like this happen – no one wants disappointed and hungry customers! But thanks to Sam's positive attitude, some delicious pints, and the long-awaited roast, we left feeling perfectly full and pleasantly tipsy. It turned out to be a memorable birthday meal!

Sunday Roast as if Mom made it. Light fluffy Yorkshire pudding, fork tender beef, smooth tasty gravy. Carrots were amazing. Staff treated us as locals even though we were clearly tourists, lol. Would go again and again!!

When in the area, I usually go to another pub, but this day we changed plans and went here. The food is of an exceptionally high standard! Service to match and well worth a detour.

We absolutely loved this place - the atmosphere is great, located alongside a quite Street away from the tourists of NH. The food was the best pub food we’d for a long time, lots of flavour on the polenta and the fish and chips for once didn’t swim in oil but was light and fluffy. Service was very friendly and efficient. Can’t wait to come back!

Chef did an amazing job once it was our turn - took over 30 mins to take order then over an hour for starters to arrive. Nicoise salad is worth returning for, didn’t ask about other starters but do know that everyone enjoyed their mains. Waitress was run ragged - but she and colleague were very helpful and definitely gave it 100%. We think too many covers for too small a kitchen! No regrets - is a gorgeous setting and not being rushed off table is a bonus in this day and age (see, having to wait!) so was the perfect spot for visiting family. Good food, great atmosphere with top service

One of the better pubs in the area - tucked away in a side street and it is full of character. People I met here came from around the world and you never know what you get every time. We love it. Food here is great and we are keen to come back for a roast. One thing I’d change is the price of their drinks, a tad more expensive than others in the area and it adds up after a few.

The atmosphere is delightful the patrons v friendly and the food absolutely delicious! As a person with Parkinson’s I found the toilets incredibly small and difficult to navigate, they were however very clean

My son and I hit the Ladbroke Arms for a later Sunday roast after 2 other restaurants we went to had already stopped serving. We were very pleased as the meals were well portioned and very tasty with meat, potatoes, three kinds of vegetables and yorkshire pudding

Sitting there for over 15 min trying to give eye contact and still no service despite walikg next to us several times. Got up and left.

We were looking for a local pub and felt we found it here! It was a Saturday night so we made a reservation earlier that same day, which I would recommend, as walk ins were waiting up to an hour. The atmosphere is perfect, and the food was delicious. My mom and I both got the fish and chips. The homemade tartar sauce was divine! I also had the Portobello Pilsner, and it was perfect. Highly recommend!

Booked a table there on 12 May, but the pub had toilet problems from opening, and yet the staff couldn't be bothered to let us know, not even properly when I rang - 4 attempts, as they don't answer their phone - to apologise that train delays meant I'd be late. I was told to come and have a drink at the bar and that our table would be delayed by an hour. Then 15 minutes later we got a call saying not to come, just as we got out of the tube station. We'd travelled from the other side of London as we'd heard good things about this pub. Clearly they don't care about customer service, just tips that they don't even have to work for. Disgusting attitude towards customers. Updated 27 May - had a call and a lovely long chat with the manager, Magda, who was genuinely as disappointed as we were. We've reached a satisfactory resolution 😊

Great pub - staff were friendly, drinks were good (especially the wine list, which is top notch), and the food was a real standout. Dogs were also welcome in the front area of the pub (but not the restaurant area at the back).

Had a wonderful lunch here! It was a beautiful sunny London day so we sat outside - the street is very quiet which made for a super peaceful meal. The service was great and the food feels elevated without being too fancy. The mushroom and polenta is a great veggie option.

We really enjoyed our meal as I was travelling with tourists in London and it is sometimes difficult to find a pub meal with this level of quality. From the salmon tartare to the roast hake, to the fish and chips, everything was cooked to perfection. Will definitely come back. This is a real gastro pub and sometimes it’s better to pay a bit more to have an experience to remember.

Very expensive Sunday roast (£200 for a family of 4), offering the tiniest of portions of beef (2 small wafer thin slices), a yorkshire pudding that was very very dry and reheated roast potatoes well past their prime. Given such a mighty price, altogether very disappointing. At these prices guys, I think you need to raise the game in the kitchen. Service was excellent and a lovely atmosphere.

Went for Sunday Roast with two teenage children. Got 3 dishes, which was plenty - chicken, pork belly and the beef. Got some toffee pudding and ice cream too. Everything was delicious - the carrots, cabbage and potatoes were out of this world good. Tasted like home cooking, in a very homey setting.

Comfortable cozy setting and delicious food, ideal destination for a classicly British Sunday afternoon (I.e. Roast with a beer accompagnement, followed by a digestive picturesque walk) I may add that the burger is a tad disappointing, the texture not great and not enough flavor. The kitchen does not make medium rare burgers unfortunately

🚇 Holland Park 🍺 £6.25 London Pilsner A Charming Notting Hill Gastro. The Ladbroke Arms is located on a quiet side street opposite the local police station in Notting Hill. The nearest Tube is Holland Park, it’s a five minute walk to get here. This pub was built in 1843 and is named after James Weller Ladbroke who developed the surrounding Ladbroke Estate in the 19th century. This eye catching pub has some wonderful features throughout. This is a one room pub that is divided into two sections. As you enter you arrive into the main bar area that has an Artdeco servery with stained glass panels above. Around the walls are some bold artworks, a huge etched mirror and a beautiful black and white historical photo of the pub. To the left of the servery is a raised section which is traditionally decorated and set aside for dining. At the front of the pub is a quaint patio terrace to while away in the warmer months. The beer selection was diverse and included one cask, London brews and some premium continental mainstays. I decided on a pint of London Pilsner by Portobello Brewing, my pint was excellent, price point was just above average. This is a well celebrated Gastropub, so much so that it has recently been awarded an AA Rosette. The food menu consists of elevated pub classics which keeps the locals coming back for more,Fish & Chips costs £23. I arrived around 5pm for a Thursday afternoon afterwork pint. The main bar and dining area were quiet, as it was a lovely day most punters were gathered on the patio at the front of the pub. The punters were a mix of afterworkers like myself, loyal locals and the odd stray tourist. The service was warm and welcoming, the chap who served me was all smiles and courteous. This upmarket local Gastro was a very enjoyable visit indeed. Obviously I was here beer, there were plenty of provisions for me to do so without any knife and fork intimidation. Having said that, if I fancied some posh nosh, I was in the right place. I loved the setting, decor and the warm local feel. Cozy and lovely little pub nested in a more quiet area from the main street which we stumbled upon whilst out returning home from walking. We only had a few drinks, but particularly loved their seafood options which definitely seemed to be one of their specialities and signature dishes!

Simply fantastic. Love this pub. I only wish it had a few more seats to accomadte us as it is so popular and rightly so!

Lots of fish/seafood options, which is why I chose this place. The hake served with squid ink gnocchi and samphire was out of this world. Absolutely stunning. They also give you really fresh sourdough on arrival - in which case you might not need a starter. I had the burrata but wasn't too keen on the cooked onions. The crunchy dried onions went much better. Great atmosphere too.
