Yuzu in Tower Hamlets

Delicious food, great recommendations, great service. We had the salmon avocado roll, and it was just splendid. One of my family members had a pepper allergy and the staff was very mindful and attentive.

Popped into this place tonight (Fri eve). Lots of reservations and as a small restaurant was very pleased they had a few seats free. Very chilled, lovely ambiance, low lighting and very relaxed setting - perfect for date night. Lots of little small plates (around £12 each) so the idea is a lovely evening of chatting and eating in an ambient setting. The main guy was so warm and friendly and made you feel very welcome. We eat out a lot in London and the difference it makes to feel like you are valued for choosing to spend your money here makes a real difference compared to other restaurants we have been where the vibe is ‘we really don’t care about you staying or not’. You can see the food being prepared and the chefs were also chatting at time to the customers nearest them. The food was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back! Sorry food was too delicious i forgot to take photos of dishes!

Delicious sushi and sashimi in a cosy, stylish and friendly setting. This place is a hidden gem of Whitechapel, I’ve been a few times and it’s always great!

I had an exceptional dining experience thanks to our wonderful waiter. LM (front of house) had attentive service, friendly demeanour, and excellent knowledge of the menu truly enhanced our evening. Every recommendation was spot-on, and their genuine enthusiasm made us feel valued. I look forward to returning and enjoying another delightful meal with such outstanding service!

This was a great find whilst looking for somewhere to have lunch in the City. I do not normally work in the area so was overwhelmed with choices but I'm glad I made this one. The host greeted us and sat us at the bar by the conveyor belt of food. I was impressed by the chefs - watching them prepare each dish to go on the belt was like watching an artist at work. Granted some of the sushi looked unassuming, but every single thing I tried had such amazing flavour. You could taste the care and thought put into every single ingredient. I definitely will be going back there again. I was told they do dinner differently so will be back to try that next.

What a treat! We were served by Maurice, who was charming and super helpful. We had a delicious meal and really enjoyed the whole experience. Bravo!

Went in at around 2pm for a quick lunch when it was very pretty quiet. There was a group of white males ahead of me who were all given a prime seat in front of the bar. I an individual Chinese male was given a seat away from everyone and at the end of the sushi conveyer belt by the kitchen entrance, out of sight from the window and those passing by. Keeping my costs low I ordered a Katsu Curry which was in a small bowl the size of a square napkin and my smaller than my hand (pictures for proof). The quality of the chicken and curry was decent but only had a cube(?) of potato (spot it in the photo). This was £6.95 and I finished this in under 5 mins. The manager was more attentive with the group of men having beers and seemed to want to get me out fast. Now here's the doozy. When handing me the bill he says quickly, 'usually it's £15 to eat at the conveyer belt.' I misheard him and thought he said min spend on card was £15. He responds no and repeats himself adding 'but whatever, it's ok.' Here's what's wrong with this picture: - I was not told this before I was sat or even when ordering - This is not written anywhere! - You told your staff to sit me here instead of at a table on the side (may have had other rules?) - Is there an elitist expectation for all customers to spend this minimum and those spending less are not welcome? My reaction was a bit baffled and he asks was everything ok? Would I like a receipt? Like he's trying to be nice and do me a favour?? No, this is passive aggressive, rude, snarky and to a degree prejudice. There is only one East/Southeast Asian chef and waitress working which were already red flags. Therefore due to this questionably prejudice service and poor value for money, I will not be returning and would advise ESEA customers to not eat here.

If the location isn't lovely enough; the interior scheme is also so calming and unique that it's hard not to fall in love right away. The staff is incredibly helpful and lovely. The food is of high quality but the ambiance is what will truly bring me back. The moody lighting alongside the shared high island seating is incredibly romantic. I also love the presentation. Pricing wise - this place does lean a bit more on the pricy side but with that said; it's very understable with where it is located. I'd happily bring friends or even clients here.

Die Teller auf dem Sushi-Laufband sind wenig abwechslungsreich und wurden während unseres Aufenthalts auch kaum modifiziert. Im Vergleich zu den vielen anderen Japanern teuer. Die warmen Lunch-Specials waren gut. Lokal gibt kein Wechselgeld.

Chosen almost by chance in a small street in London. There aren't many places/tables and we were lucky. Very accurate cuisine with a contained menu in favor of a high quality of the ingredients. Ruined experience by staff basically full on shouting at us in response to asking if arriving at 12:30 in the future would be too late (you can't book this place).

Went in for some sushi and warm dishes for my son’s 18th birthday. The food was okay. But the portion sizes were incredibly small and added up. Bill came to over 90 quid. Without drinks!! Over 5 quid for 3 pieces of sushi. Was not worth it.

Such a great night. Delicious food, the best sushi I’ve had in a long time. The seabass and truffle oil was AMAZING, as was the tuna tartare with goats cheese- sooo good! Tucked away on a lovely alleyway, that belongs in Harry Potter, a hiden gem away from the bustle of the city and Spitalfields - this place served some of the best sushi I have had outside of Japan. The chef was Japanese himself and clearly knows where to source the cuts of fish from and executes perfectly, greatly exceeding the previously set standard by mid range to high end sushi restaurants. I would recommend booking as seating is limited and the place is often busy. Take a friend or a group and order most of the menu!
