Such a yummy tea! Can have enough as tapas or a big tea but great place to meet after work for some tasty food. I love coming here in the summer also to sit outside

Duck loaded fries and bao buns are phenominal! Well worth a visit.. the selection of beers is outstanding.. had a lovely 'flight' of beers all randomly chosen! Great food woth lovely atmosphere.

Delicious food, beautiful flavours and presentation very nice as well. Shame that there was no ramen available and no beef- this made our experience limited as we couldn't try everything we wanted.

Sat at a table at Brew York and used the QR code on the table to order from YUZU. The bao was pretty good. Lots of meat! But way overpriced for one bao. The ramen was….bad. Like truly awful. As one reviewer said, they skimp on the broth. I didn’t mind as it tasted terrible and I wanted no more of it. I think they used spaghetti noodles as well. If this is considered good ramen in the UK then I am terrified to try bad ramen. You’d be better off getting Ichiran kits straight from Japan in the post. It would be cheaper and way better testing.

I was searching to find the best place in York for Bao buns and this place popped up - I love bao and I love beer so this seemed like a great combination. So many types of bao as well - most of them sounding delicious. Decided to go. The restaurant itself is located upstairs in Brew York, and shares the tap room - a large hall with bench seating. Very Germanic. Stout. You order beers from the bar - the list of beers on order is large and changes all the time. I like lager-types, so the selection of those is a bit less, btu still good - the beer on this occasion was a Mittel Pils, from Pivovar. I liked this system and the prices for the beer were decent. When it comes to food, you find a seat and order from a QR code on the table - I like this system and it works well, although they maybe need more codes on the longer tables. The food choice is overwhelming - not just bao, but also gyoza, ramen, rice bowls, fried chicken and more. I wanted to try it all. Settled for a Korean pulled pork bao and a beef bulgogi brisket bao, with a side of chicken gyoza. I was not disappointed - the bao were large and fulsome, packed with meat and full of flavour. I could barely finish my gyoza and was glad I hadn’t also ordered the loaded chips that I had been eyeing… 😃 Food was in fact so good I went back two days later and had two more bao - another pulled pork and a fried chicken this time. The chicken was crisp and moreish. Overall superb and well worth a visit - if I lived in York I would be here weekly for at least one bao. Definitely pencil in a visit here. I think the food here would work well for lunch as well as in the evening.

Brew York is a great place for a work event or just to hang out with friends, from the cool artwork to the dazzling array of speciality beers and cocktails it has a unique atmosphere and the street food is really really good too, from Bedford options to katsu curries and loaded fries you can’t really go wrong!!

When I have an issue with a venue or restaurant, I usually try to resolve it there and then or contact the owner directly rather than post a poor review. However in this instance, despite contacting the owner directly via their website listed email 10days ago, I have received no response, so have no problem posting my email to YUZU below. -------- I visited the city of York last week with my family as part of an Easter holiday break and whilst looking for place to eat on Wednesday evening, we found Google reviews of YUZU Street Food. We looked at the menu and the food sounded great, you even had a kids menu and the website said “Families Welcome”, no booking necessary, just walk-in. As we had a busy day sight-seeing in York, my family and I didn’t make it out for dinner until 8pm, but your opening hours said open until 9pm, so we thought this was fine. We entered the upstairs area of the Tap House, took a seat and proceeded to select items from the menu to order for 10-15mins. However, a member of staff approached our table and said we couldn’t be here as we had children and the licence conditions didn’t allow children under the age of 18 after 8pm. We said our children were young teenagers, we happy to sit in quiet the corner with empty tables all around us and eat and then leave, the waitress found the manager to consult, who said we must leave immediately and stood over us whilst my daughter was in tears as we made to feel like we had done something wrong as we were ejected from the venue. I fully appreciate the Taphouse may well have licencing conditions, whether I agree with them or not. However, on your website there is no mention of these, and no mention of children not being welcome after 20:00. Had we known this in advance, we would have either made sure to get there earlier or avoided the venue. I’m sorry we didn’t get the chance to sample what looked like lovely food being served to other tables but do feel other families might also be put in the same situation unless your website is updated to make the rules clear.

Great food but becoming more and more expensive

Great street food. Asian street food with a modern twist. Ramen, and Katsu curry is great. Vegan options are good. Great venue nice and big with outdoor spaces.

Great choice of street food very tasty would recommend to give it a go.

Incredible food, well seasoned and generously portioned. There’s a lovely outdoor seating area that’s peaceful and away from the city noise. We went with children and our dog and felt completely comfortable. We absolutely loved having lunch there and would definitely go back!

Nos sentamos al sol con buena comida, muy buena cerveza y un ambiente relajado. Muy disfrutado y recomendable.

I have been a few times and can honestly say it’s excellent. The flavour and texture of the food is unreal. Can’t fault anything would 100% recommend eating here.

Visited here for the tap house. Fantastic selection of beers. Service is excellent with knowledgeable bar staff. Highly recommend to try some different beers.

The other day I visited the restaurant and had a wonderful experience, especially thanks to Maria, who served us and was really attentive and friendly. The food was also good, but I would really go back for the service.

Me and my colleague came for a meal, food was absolutely brilliant service was great. Got served by a bubbly girl called Briana. Atmosphere was really good, would highly recommend this place.

Great location in the Beer Hall, excellent food and variety of choices. Made our decision about where to eat after having a pint much easier!

Wow wow wow! If you’re thinking of going to Wagamama’s - stop, turn around and go here instead. Amazing Asian street food packing a punch of mega flavour and texture, lots of vegan options and amazing desserts too. Couldn’t recommend more! We had the tofu katsu, chilli beef noodles and biscoff banana baonut, all amazing

Interesting eatery connected to Brew York, the ramen bowls were outstanding but because this is not a formal restaurant, more like a food hall more attention needs to be given to cleaning the seating area and clearing the tables, I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for that. The atmosphere is great though so that combined with the quality and the freshness of the food will definitely see us going back

Bit tricky to find at first, but food was great. Bao buns come loaded to the top with meat, great value. The tonkotsu ramen was super creamy and the pork melted in ya mouth

La comida es increíble, recién hecha, de maravillosa calidad y tiempos de espera no particularmente largos teniendo en cuenta lo ocupado que está. Compartimos una colección de artículos más pequeños entre nosotros y todos ellos estaban a morir por! Went to Brew York for a couple of beers and found they have a food company selling Asian inspired street food. You wouldn’t believe how good it was! One of the best katsu chicken I’ve ever had and the salt and pepper hash browns were something else!! Absolutely amazing food.

The food was amazing. Fresh, hot and tasty. The crispy things were crispy, the soft things were soft, and everything was vibrant and well spiced. We aren't veggies but we are doing a veggie-january and I don't think we missed out. The tofu was flavourful and crispy! We particularly recommend the bang bang cauliflower bao and the salt and pepper hash browns! The only downside, if it can be called that is the rice bowl my partner had was a little too much rice to topping/sauce ratio and the veg gyosa were tasty just not to our pallette. Pricing wise, it was on the higher end, but we felt the portions were hearty and the quality both justified the slightly higher price point. Having the tap house in the same room was dangerously tempting! Great beer and great food!

Vine a cenar rápido en diciembre y me quedé boquiabierto. Entre 2 personas compartimos un par de bollos de bao, gyoza y las patatas fritas de sal y pimienta. Mi favorito era el bao bun brisket de ternera - estaba muy generosamente cargado y tenía un sabor fantástico. La comida llegó rápidamente y el ambiente era genial. Sin duda merece la pena una visita!

Amazing food, nice place and great range of beers. Recommend the bao buns and beef brisket fries. The fella with the long beard behind the bar does seem somewhat annoyed and impatient though.

The best tonkotsu ramen you can find! So rich, flavourful and tasty! We came here last year and haven't been able to forget about it, so came again and it did not disappoint. We have tried this dish at many restaurants and this is by far the best! The jumbo wings are also exceptional, perfectly crispy. It was very busy this weekend, with us struggling for a table for a good 15/20 minutes. Which cannot be helped, but they definitely need more seating! Service was still good, for how busy it was. Bit pricey, but worth it! A unique foodhall experience with great food! We will be back!

Found this place by accident and so pleased we did !! Go grab some of the best ales I’ve ever tasted and then order your food to your table! Fresh tasty and good sized portions! Definitely one of the hidden gems of York !

Disappointing. Wanted to visit the tap room and the temptation of Asian Street food alongside was too good to miss. We were wrong. Arriving at 7pm, the Asian Street food vendor was out of noodles, ramen and wings. Really?! We had the gyoza. They were dry, small and uninviting. If you're expecting a full dish of street food, don't bother.

Awful, food arrived 4 hours late

We love Brew York, and now we love Yuzu too. Great atmosphere, great range of taps, and Yuzu serves up some delicious food to go with it! Fresh, hot, spicy, flavoursome goodness. We will definitely eat at Yuzu again!

This restaurant is a great addition to Brew York. The food is tasty but of all the things I tried I would say the gyozas were a bit disappointing because they were dry and felt like if they were industrial. The baos (bulgogi and pulled pork) are delicious. Udon noodles with katsu chicken were very decent. They have a wide selection of beers too that are great in taste. Unfortunately some of them are only available on the bar downstairs and when I visited there was not anyone serving.

I dined in for the first time tonight for a function but usually get a takeaway. It’s difficult to get a healthy, nutritious takeaway usually but with Yuzu you get just that! Quality is always on point. Generous portions with added extras thrown into our takeaway bag which is lovely. Highly recommend!

Heerlijk eten bij Str’eat op Strijp-S. Yuzu is hier een van de restaurantjes en een van de betere. De taco’s en de sushi zijn echt aan te bevelen! Net even iets heel anders dan wat je misschien verwacht, bijzonder en culinair verantwoord!!

Ordered here before with no issues as the ramen here is my absolute favourite however my last order was a disappointment as for some reason they were extremely stingy on the broth. My usual ramen would have double the amount of liquid. Seeing as there are new places in York for tonkotsu id be willing to try them over having another bowl here. Genuinely Disappointed

Delicious oriental style food inside Brew York

Omg!!! We ate here tonight and it did not disappoint. We had the tenders - one with gochujang and one with Korean bbq sauce - so crispy yet super juicy and fell apart. Katsu fries, piping hot with delicious fresh spring onions and siracha mayo. Bao bun with brisket was insaaaannnneeeellllllyyyyyy good! Stuffed full and topped with delicious pickles - too many chillis on top for me but no issue to scrape off. The service was very quick and ordered with QR at the table but could also order at the bar. Ameretto sour was lovely as was the cider - not overly sweet or fizzy. The only thing that could do with a little adjustment was the temperature - it was very very warm in there. I get it, open kitchen and busy bustling place. But if a few windows were open, that would have been great. Great mix of older and younger generations, music and cool venue where they also have movie nights. If I was a local, I would defo be a regular.

Ordered veggie gyozas. I was served chicken and when I reported it they tried to convince me it's veggie. Gave me a fresh batch and it was definitely different to the original ones and had cabbage instead of chicken. They also gave my friend duck gyozas when she ordered chicken. they need to better label their food packets. I'm not a meat eater and it wasn't pleasant. No apology, only gaslighting.

overall good quality food, the tonkotsu was a little too salty and you could taste the dashi stock more than the pork (fishy taste). would’ve liked a milder more authentic flavour but overall enjoyable experience and good food - would come back.

Ordered some loaded fries which arrived very quickly but they were cold and chewy, they have blatantly just been sat in the kitchen for about 15-20mins possibly returned by someone else as they definitely were not fresh. Asked for a full refund which was given and processed quickly but no apology was offered and it seemed like they didn't really care they had given out cold stale food. Quickly finished our drinks and left. Would not recommend at all.

The food we ended up getting was great, but they seemed to be out of basic ingredients - rice, edamame and udon noodles. The atmosphere is great and the beer selection is top notch and well priced.

Don't walk - run to YUZU. Definitely a highlight of my trip to York, please come to the USA! Duck fries and the Katsu were legendary, it was busy when we visited - you can see why. Just go, you wont regret it.

We ate here because we were desperately looking for a place to have lunch in York and in the ene we decide to try this food truck. It was SO good. The dumplings were incredible: everything was extremely good: the texture, the sauce and the chicken. The mayo the best thing I've ever tasted. The cooks very very fast: my dumplings were ready even before I was done paying. We had a wonderful experience and I'd definitely recommend it.

We were in Brew York for a drink and smelled some of the food passing and decided to check the menu and I'm very glad we did! The food was reasonably priced, arrived pretty quickly and it was absolutely delicious 😋 Good vegetarian and vegan options too. I really recommend the salt and pepper hash browns. I'd certainly return next time I visit York.

Always have to visit here whenever we come to York, the food is delicious and very reasonably priced compared to the chain places. The new Duck Donburi was lovely as were the Gyozas

Asian food done terribly, struggle to understand all the positive reviews. Sweet chilli sauce seemed to be the only thing the “chef” could reach. Squid was tough, baos had clearly been left out all day/eve giving them a crust. Chicken and prawn tasted like they were straight out of the freezer. Concept/seting has great potential, but zero execution. Also the food on tables wasn’t cleared away leaving tables messy and sticky and not a nice environment to be in. Needless to say I won’t be returning.

Being from California I thought I'd tried all of the best Asian street food and ramen spots - today I had the Tonkotsu and it was unbelievably good - I don't usually leave reviews but this meal was absolutely fantastic. I understand the hype. `Please setup in the US!

Not sure why there are so many good reviews? The food was awful and way below average. If you like Asian food in any way, do not go there. Everything was DRENCHED in the same sweet chilli sauce, bao buns were visibly stale, “tempura” prawns were straight out the freezer from Iceland. The service was awful, none of the tables were cleared at any point.

Very tasty food and large portions! Especially recommended the salt and pepper hash browns! Service was a bit slow due to lots of orders before us but staff were lovely. Great order from a range of beers whilst you wait! Marking atmosphere down because it was quite an open and loud space so can imagine when it's rammed it is hard to chat but still worth going for the food and beer selection!

On the times, ive been the food has been great. Had the pork miso moodles and it was out of this world! Best ramen Ive ever had. Staff are brilliant and friendly too.

This is a bit of a hidden gem, when you see Brew York, go in the building and up the stairs. Food and drink needs to be ordered on separate counters, plenty of seats inside and music quite loud in background. Very delicious bao buns, both the aubergine and beef brisket were well seasoned. Although the buns are a bit pricy (£7.50 each) but worth it. The food did took 20mins to come. I was going to order ramen but was told they don’t do ramen yet (this was around 6:30pm Monday), I don’t know if it was because of the day of the week or other reason.
