Yuu Kitchen in Tower Hamlets

My favorite restaurant in London by far. We've been coming since 2017 and come by for every special occasion - tonight we came for my birthday, our server Lola was INCREDIBLE. Attentive, kind, and friendly. The food is always incredible and amazing for vegans and non vegans to dine together. The sticky aubergine is a star dish and if it ever leaves the menu I don't think I'll ever recover. The iberico pork was also incredible! I cannot recommend this place enough and I can't wait to come again and again (and again). The service is always amazing whenever we go, thank you Yuu kitchen for always being a safe place to land and a spot so very special to us.

Had perhaps too high expectations for this place so was disappointed. The dishes we had did not meet expectations. They were not bad but not really great either. The bapao(s) were rather dry. The adobo wings hardly tasted like adobo, deep fried with perhaps adobo powder. The aubergines were very good though. Gyoza was deep fried ( very hard ) and not pan fried or steamed which is generally better. The flavor of the gyoza filling was good. We also had a watermelon salad that had a nice dressing. Small portions so I would say on the expensive side. Service was good and we could relax outside as it wasn’t busy at all. We were there on a Wednesday for lunch.

I’m sure if you haven’t been to Asia, you are not from Asia and your experience of Asian food is limited to Prawn Toast and Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls…you’ll love this place I immediately liked the decor (even with the Covid protection screens still in place), especially the wall art and Chinese hanging bird baskets Service was a bit weak to be honest Was strange to have the cold dish of the sashimi platter come out last too Anyhoo - on to the food Not sure if they just have one generic sauce, but everything tasted the same What was labelled spicy, was far from being spicy and what was deemed authentic, was also a far cry from being so It was as if, by adding an Asian name to the dish, automatically made it Asian Eg - the Vietnamese Spring Rolls had as much attachment to an actual Vietnamese Spring Roll as Thumper does to Welsh Rarebit The food wasn’t bad…it just fails to live up to its Asian promise Would I return….that’s a no from me

It’s tasty and the service is great!! Yuu is a very good restaurant with decent prices. We ordered the wagyu bao, karaage (it wasn’t the dry fried chicken we were used to but it was still good), rice, broccoli and adobo wings. The broccoli was AMAZING. The meat was on par with something like P.f. chang’s, so it’s delicious and you’re sort of getting what you pay for. It’s a great experience and the servers are super friendly. I’d definitely recommend this place to someone on a first date keeping it casual. You get what you pay for. Would I come here on my 2nd anniversary? Nah. 20th anniversary? maybe lol. Jokes aside. Great overall experience and not too much to honestly complain about.

Came here recently for dinner. It's a relatively small place, with a cool design and good music making for a nice atmosphere! I was seated quickly, and ordered the kim-chips, tofu bao bun, cassava dessert & ice cream, and the yuuspice mocktail. Highlights were definitely the bao bun and mocktail! Overall, the dishes taste great, though the portions are a little small for my liking. All in all, I had a decent experience - it was a cool place to visit!

I dined at Yuu kitchen twice in the past month and I am sure I will be back again. The food is great, especially the salmon steak bao bun. I also enjoyed the scallops & prawns gyozas and the tender-steam broccoli. My husband enjoyed the chicken wings and the beef ribs. Staff is friendly and attentive. I like the fact that you can sit at the bar and see the food being cooked fresh in front of you. The cooking area is kept very clean. I wouldn't come here for a romantic night, but a for good dinner during the week with friends or colleagues, it's a great place.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious however its hard to accept the £9.20 per bao bun (wagyu). Food came out promptly and its was cool to see the chefs in action. I didn't necessarily appreciate the waitress reaching over between us to get the empty plate (her jacket sleeve touching our food). Unfortunately we came out hungry looking for more food.

It's a nice venue overlooking Commercial Street. Fun for people-watching on a friday. Food was tasty - especially the tuna tostada - but frankly overall it was FAR too pricey. It's basically Asian tapas. The bao was tasty, but not worth the price. Tuna good. But the Filipino chicken wings were almost flavourless. Very very disappointing. Overall? : It was okay. £40 for 3 dishes and a beer? No way. Not coming here again. Half that? Maybe. Just maybe.

Tout est parfaitement dressé, mélange de couleur donnant du peps en plus de l'envie de les dévorer, goût et fraîcheur au rendez vous, ingrédients originaux et associations parfois un peu décalées mais c'est un sans faute pour les plats. Petite touche négative: Les cocktails et leur prix, certes ils sont originaux mais le prix est exagéré. Le budget est élevé mais niveau nourriture, ça vaut le prix de casser la tirelire. L'endroit est également beau à regarder, décoré avec goût et modernité.

A really nice meal, fantastic service- really friendly- ordered 11 dishes between 3 that was more than enough food - quiet on a Saturday night that was strange but got a good seat outside- with plenty of good bars around this is a really nice place for casual dining and fresh flavours. We had such a good time with Yuu Kitchen. A good group of 9 of us did the bottomless brunch. The food was absolutely amazing, there was a nice variety and plenty of food to go around (sharing plates). The staff were really friendly and very attentive with topping up our drinks every few minutes. The restaurant itself had a lovely vibe and the music wasn’t loud so you could actually have a conversation with everyone on the table. If you’re looking for a really good all round sociable bottomless brunch, look no further!
