Horrible excuse for a takeaway. No taste, very bland, miserable staff.

Probably the worst takeaway we've had from here, sweet and sour chicken balls were very very dry, chips were tasteless . Gave it one last chance but won't be using again.

Live 2 mins away. Sweet sour chicken balls …. Cold soggy undercooked batter sauce in a coffe cup Butterfly king prawn… tasteless with a fish of cold red sauce don’t know what it was as tasteless. Will never go here again. Place is dirty inside needs a good clean. At least our bin enjoyed the food. Will be complaining to food hygiene.

The char sui meat is nice.The chicken+beef are like processed meat not so nice

Sadly, this once great restaurant has really gone downhill. We used to love this restaurant when the parents were running the show. When their kids are there, the food is NOT good. We got egg drop soup and two orders of cashew chicken and an order of crab angels-all to go. The crab angels were greasy and burnt. The soup was so salty, we could not eat it. It was also watery no real broth to it. The cashew shrimp was OK, but, my husband’s did not have very many cashews in it and not as much shrimp as we have had in the past. We will not be eating here again and encourage everyone else to go elsewhere. We spent a lot of money for food that we could not eat.

New years eve let down. Sweet and sour chicken balls - coating was pastey and tasteless. The chicken was tasteless too. Salt and pepper chips - half size portion to other places and were basically over cooked scraps. Spare ribs in sauce were ok and at least we could eat them. Boiled rice - cant really screw that up so well done. Our usual was shut hence trying Yew Gardens but wont be going back. On plus side they were open NYE unlike our usual and the order was ready in 20 mins. Maybe thats because they are not as popular lately ???

Telephone order last night special fried rice no seafood, chips and carton of curry sauce, When we got home the fried rice was full of prawns, the meat was really bad, never really seen beef like it, chicken and pork pretty awful, Chips must have been reheated/fried 2 or 3 times as they was really bad, crispy and over over cooked, The curry sauce was practically a lump.of slime when tipped it out, Could not even be bothered ringing to complain as the would have been zero they could do to make it right, Awful place avoid like the plague

Just ordered special fried rice without prawns and a curry sauce. It was more like a stew swimming in juice and it has prawns in. Absolutely vile and all went in the bin

Absolutely shocking food. We ordered a chicken curry the chicken was like slimey rubber never been a chicken. We rang spoke to a very polite woman for a refund who wanted to help and was very understanding the meal cost £27 they only gave us a £16 refund.

Absolutely shocking the food I ordered with my son was inedible salt salt salt and more salt I couldn't believe what I was seeing actually scrapping off spoonfuls of salt salt,salt from chicken ,never ever again,this place should come with an health warning, unbelievably bad.

Ordered beef curry, fried rice and chips . Chips looked under cooked in colour dried up, clearly reheated more than once, terrible. Beef curry was not edible was to soft like the meat was turning, fried rice ok . We had to throw it away, did not want to eat incase it made us sick. I rang him up to say how terrible it was, he said bring it back I said it’s in the bin and I am not going back out to the bin in the rain . All he kept saying is was sorry, I said what you going to do about it .. his response was to put the phone down. Do not spend your hard earned cash, looks terrible, tastes terrible and poor customer service . At this rate they will go out of business.

Just a little salty for my taste but good amount of food for your money

Last Saturday bought beef curry ,couldn't taste the curry sauce very waterer eat a quarter, rest went in the bin

£6.60 starter (same price as a dish) looks absolutely awful. If this was a restaurant, I would have sent it back.

I have never had a worse takeaway, cold, undercooked chicken and rice was ladened with salt to make it edible We put the lot in the bin and when we contacted them to complain we was told it was good enough for most people to eat

As a Chinese it's great but chippy the last few times I've been, most of the chips have been black and dry 😒

At 1 star I’m being generous but google doesn’t give the option for a zero. Absolutely the worst takeaway meal I’ve ever had. The BBQ spare ribs were absolutely atrocious, was like boiled meat topped with a shop bought sauce. Curry sauce bland, fried rice absolutely terrible. Straight in the bin. Used to be half decent this place but it isn’t anymore. Girl on the counter was polite, everything else 🤮

Vile we’ve just chucked the whole takeaway in the bin after one bite of chicken. Just rang up to complain and they refused to refund unless we have them the food back. I feel awful for the girl on the phone, she was lovely, but what her manager was telling her to say was just not right. Disgusting.

Headed to Yu’s Garden due to Kowloon being closed until December. Like many Chinese takeaways they have a cash only policy. I ordered four mains and some sides: Beef with green pepper and black bean sauce Chicken curry Chicken with ginger and spring onion Char Sui fried rice Egg fried rice Curry samosas Spring rolls Boiled rice This all came to £40.40 On opening the bag at home there was a smell of cigarette smoke which wasn’t the best of starts. Then came the food - The boiled rice was just one large stodgy clump of inedible rice. The fried rice dishes were greasy. The curry was just a gelatinous mess The chicken in both dishes didn’t have the texture of chicken and was somewhat slimy. The beef dish was unrecognisable. In all my years I’ve never seen this dish look like that no matter where it’s been bought from. It was a complete mess. This was without a shadow of doubt, the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had. 0/10 Completely disgusting.

Haven’t ordered from here for a while, the food has improved immensely, I presume it has changed hands. Thanks will order again

Chinese takeaway. My family have enjoyed the variety of meals from here. English meals are served but not quite as good though the chips are usually fresh and good sized portions. Reasonably priced. Parking is just after the traffic lights on the right of Collins Road (left of Yus Garden). We've ordered online with bigfoodie.co.uk to get our Chinese meals from here and it's been great. Put your order in early for tea time or choose a time for delivery. Everything is usually hot and tasty and well cooked. Usually order enough to get free prawn crackers.

Love this place.. A+++++ highly recommend to anyone wanting a Chinese in bamberbridge I wouldn't go to any other Chinese..

Not good it used to be but thought we'd give it another go. Over an hour wait the order was wrong the food was cold over priced

2 hrs for delivery after told 25-30 mins and 4 phone calls even the delivery man was very embarrassed but it was not his fault Mixed salt and pepper sharing meal was disgusting the only part edible was mushrooms pork was not cooked properly and had very little meat it was all bone ends avoid and when challenged no apologies

Has this chinese been taken over recently? - awful. chips were undercooked, batter soggy.... by the customer service of the guy behind the counter it looked like he had just had a portion of the same stuff... wont be returning

I ordered 1/4 crispy duck and a portion of chips. The duck was inedible and tasted only as what I could describe as ‘off’. As for the chips, full of black spots. To not even be bothered to cut them off? Have been a loyal customer to Yu’s Garden for years and it is so disappointing seeing how much it has gone down hill.

Ordered from here and I was really looking forward to it. The delivery time was ace but the rest of it was utter garbage and im not one to be unhappy with a Chinese :/ . The curry was watery and tasteless. The final nail in the coffin were the ribs, tasteless and as tough as old leather. Overall i wouldn't recommend sadly to say :(

Disappointed that they are cash only. . Food was good except for the chips and curry sauce. I think you need to change the oil as that is all the chips tasted of and the curry sauce wasn't up to your usual standard. Sorry

Terrible. Inedible rubbish. Soggy chips, practically uncooked, had to cook them at home. Chicken fried rice horrible, did not state dry yet it was and didn't even taste good. Prawn crackers stale. Charged 30p for 3 carrier bags which is bad enough but then there was only 1 carrier bag anyway. Hardly like we are going to re use them but still its the principle, pure cheek paying for something you're not getting anyway. Extremely expensive food that isn't worth it. Charged £2.50 to deliver it when it's just around the corner (0.5 miles away). Feel robbed, £2.80 for delivery and carrier bags. Pure greed. Rushed and poor quality. Never again.

Absolutely disgusting first time ordered and will never order again. Chips tasted like they had been rewarmed up. Salt and pepper chicken wings over cooked and bland. Special green pepper in black bean sauce Absolutely foul. Sauce tasted like grave. Chicken tasted like rubber. There was no effect in this meal. This to be one of the worst Chinese I've ever been to. Said £15.60 on phone when drive came it had gone up a pound. Don't waste your money and get food from this disgusting place.

Not been here for a while so tried it again last night . Ordered ‘Fried’ chicken and Cashew nuts for my wife and the King Prawn version of the same by phone for collection 20 mins later. Their website suggests that card payments are possible but it was CASH ONLY. - Suspect? On returning home 23 minutes after ordering, we were quite ready for this. Serving it out, we were disappointed to find lots of thin, watery gravy rather than “Sauce”. I don’t think any of it was prepared by frying. It seemed that the Chicken especially which was pale, soggy had been lengthily steamed rather than wok fried. It was discarded to the bin. My King Prawns were more edible but similar in that they were drowned in the very thin sauce. Return is unlikely. Dave W.

Ordered salt pepper munchie box ,meat was fatty, chips tasted rewarmed I bit into my chicken it was raw telephoned to let them know owner came out checked and agreed it wasnt cooked I was very disappointed he offered to make another but I dont want more food that I'm not happy with offered 10 refund will not reccomend and not order again

Just had our delivery and the meals had not been made correctly. Ingredients mixed incorrectly in able to make a basic sauce correctly and using gone off produce such as the baby sweet corn was found tasting and made my kids Vomet. I have reported to the food authorities at south ribble as no apologies or care were given by the manager. The lovely young lady on the phone was so nice bless her but she was clearly just being given bad information. This place has been in slow decline over the last few months and we’ve come to the decision after being loyal customers for over five years to change our regular. Really disappointed by the actions of management to loyal customers.

Worst ever.i asked for no onions in my curry.But it came packed with onions rice was cold and the chips was reheats and cold as well.my advance is order elsewhere because this take away is disgusting.this has happened more than once.

Always been great food when I've ordered.

We have been having deliveries from you for almost ten years. Last night our order was £52.90 ( quoted as total on the phone) When delivered it was £53.90 and we had a meal and a rice dish missing. As we had our family bubble visiting I called today to be told 'It's only a pound so no big deal' When I advised the order was wrong the manager suggested all the data from the night before was gone. When asked for her name she would not give it. I have never known such terrible customer service. What happened to valued custom? All I expected was ' We have new staff and we will add them on to your next order for you or something similar. It seems that they are happy to take over 50 pounds from customers, over- charge as we didn't get our items and not even apologise for their error. The 'Manager' was correct it was no big deal and as such I called quite nicely about it She has turned it into such a complaint by her terrible customer service skills I really hope the owner of Yu's Garden reads this and sees what loyal customers now think of his business we always champion! Such a shame!!!

We are regular customers to Yu Gardens and the food is usually good. Tonight the food arrived cold and the curry did not look or taste like curry. My husband phoned to complain but the person who took the call did not seem interested in the complaint. He asked what could be done. My husband asked for a refund this was denied. Needless to say we will not be using this takeaway in the future.

Just walked to Yus Garden, open till 11.30pm and the door was locked, so I rang and checked they was open, the man said yes it's telephone orders, so I ordered and then the man came to door and said cash only!! If it is cash only then why don't they have signs on the door🙄

Waited over three hours for an order to arrive. When it finally did they had forgotten part of the order. When we finally started to eat the gravy tasted like someone had mixed a pot of sweet and sour sauce into it possibly as a consequence of us having to call 3 times to get the stuff delivered.

Had a delivery. Food is put in polystyrene containers, meaning things that are supposed to be crispy (eg prawn balls, prawn toast, chips) are soggy. Average food.

Always excellent food from Yu’s garden - sweet and sour inning prawn and chips for me and always a speciality dish for my husband. Food is always delivered piping hot and well inside the projected time. Delivery team are provide prompt, polite, efficient, excellent service. Many thanks to all involved.

Arrived late and was cold to cold to eat,the chowmain was just 1 clump,the sauce was set in the tub,spring rolls chewy not crispy waste of money as it just went in the bin!!!!!

ordered tonight chips almost soggy white and most full of black ends and bruised bits, plain chow mein fab, gravy could put wallpaper up with, same as curry sauce way too thick, spring rolls ok and tasty, salt pepper spare ribs soggy and undercooked had to put in oven for longer,chicken and beef oyster sauce good bit dissapointed as this is the go to chinese usually come on yus pull yourself together.

This place was one of the best around been going for years but went last saturday the food had no taste very poor will not go again after going for many a year yes it was that bad and to add to the insult they put the prices up.

Food is nice but everything is so mixed up, I've got meat of my partner and he's got my meat and his sauce, complete joke. There is always some problems with their orders. I wouldn't recommend or if you order definitely double check what's inside.

Halfway through the meal. Eating a chicken kebab and in the middle it was pink. I rung to complain to be told that it was normal. I said it isn't. He them came round and I showed him the undercooked chicken to which he replied. Yes this is normal. I asked for my money back to which he rellied I cant give you your money back because you have eaten some. Shocking treatment.

Craving for fish and chips went to Yu’s garden. Been before and the fish has always been reasonable-not today! £6 for fish, chips and peas-might as well had batter, chips and peas! The batter was dried up and what there was fish inside was shrivelled up. If I didn’t live so far away I’d have taken it back-instead I’ll never go back. I’m told it’s changed hands, if so-whatever changes have been made they’re certainly not for the better!

No chips, yet ordered with gravy, all food cold and had to re-heat in microwave.... very disappointing. Previously been really good but will be sourcing from elsewhere in future.

This was once one of the best Chinese in the area. Its now the worst... id give it a - 00000 rating. When takeaway finally arrived it was barely warm. The Salt and pepper ribs tasted like leather, they appeared to have been frozen with frost bite then poorly cooked. The yung chow fried rice appeared as if it was someones left overs that had been left for a few days then reaheated. The actaul char sui on the dish was definatly not fresh. Im shocked how this takeaway could get so bad. A bill of over £40 that all went in bin. save your money and go elsewhere.

To be the best Chinese in Bamberbridge to the worst is so sad. Awful food warmed up from the night before, staff who have zero customer relations, it's sad to see such a great business detoriate so quickly in such a short space of time especially when Bamberbridge is becoming so affluent. I would score this place zero points if I could ....... awful!!

Ordered tonight having not been for a couple of months. The whole meal was disappointing. Vegetable spring rolls when we paid for pork spring rolls, very little sauce with our ribs, the salt and pepper chips lacked flavour and the sweet and sour sauce tasted watered down. Overall the best bit has been the prawn crackers....enough said

I have been going to YUS garden for many years and it was the best chinese around. To the point where when i rang up they knew my name!. However on my last visit this was not the case. I ordered chefs special salt and pepper chicken and chefs special crispy beef in ok sauce, along with chips and fried rice. I shared this with my partner. My first mouthful of the beef and i noticed something was not right. I began to rummage around my mouth and pulled out the most horrendous long black hair imaginable. It put me and my partner off straight away. As a result i am never going back. I never complained as we did not want a replacement, and i could not be bothered driving to the takeaway for a £16 refund. ( i am bold and my partner has brown hair just in case yus garden bothers replying to this review. ) I know it has a 3 star rating on hygiene from the council but maybe this needs to be looked at. To summarise; What used to be a top chinese is now a poor takaway with what looks like no emphasis on food hygeine.

I was really looking forward to this Chinese, as I rarely eat takeaway food and it was a treat. Unfortunately, I was really let down by my choice of Yu's Garden. I asked for Barbecue and Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs with chips. The Barbecue Sauce was like congealed fat, but the Salt and Pepper ribs were the biggest let down though. I'm not sure how long they had been frozen prior to cooking but the batter looked like it had been boiled not fried. In addition. the chips had been in the frier that long, that they had about 5 skins on them. Really disappointing on a Friday night but it was disgusting. I haven't even tried the Chicken with Green Peppers and Black bean sauce yet but Im not expecting much.

Chippy side Ok, Chinese not great

Ordered on line at 18.30, two mains and a portion of chips. Informed food would be delivered 19.30. At 20.00 it took thirty phone calls either engaged or just ringing out for them to answer to rudely say its own it's way. At 20.30 still no show we live less than 5 mins away. Rang them again to be told we will contact driver and let you have it half price. Food arrived at 20.50, I explained to driver why we no longer wanted food, he told me he had just left the shop with our order. Will not be going here again......

It took over 2hrs to deliver less than 400mtrs away. (Disabled person) After repeated phone calls and the excuse they were waiting for the delivery driver. (One of their staff could have walked its less than 5mins away) the food arrived..butterfly prawns burnt black.. chicken not cooked..curry sauce gelled on top of special curry ordered...disgusting..would never use again..not recommended...not customer friendly...at the fifth phone call staff could not explain what had happened to our order and a senior staff member came on and promised delivery in five mins..over 30mins later it arrived...stay away and use somewhere else......

I went here on a recommendation. I was told to try the salt and pepper chips. Although the sound of it didn't sound great to me, one evening I gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. I have been back since, and this time they was not so great. There is no customer service in here.
