Yuansiu in Portsmouth

For a student like me, it’s good how much cheaper the menu is compared to other places which definitely means I’m coming back in the future. Good tasting and a lot of the food is what makes it 5 star for me.

I’m a student and I’ve really been missing the chinese takeaway near my old house. Decided tonight to try a different takeaway with my partner because I was unsure of the other one I tried since living here. The chow mein is perfect, delicious and salty with lots of flavour and crunchy bean sprouts. And the egg fried rice was delicious too. So much yummy flavour just like the one from home.Great portion sizes for the price and very yummy. Definitely going to be loyal to Yuansiu from now on :)

I like to go here about two times a month and normally order mixed fried rice with beef and black bean sauce the last time I went there I ordered a small portion of mix stir-fried vegetables and was shocked to see the price of the vegetables was the same as the beef dish won't be ordering that dish again

Chinese and a chippy excellent at both definitely reccomend yuansiu to anyone. Very well done food will be back for more soon. Get the Chips and curry sauce 🤤

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had the food was cold never go there again and the charge 50p to use debit card what is that all about never again

This place used to be the best in town. But twice now our order has been awful. Won ton soup went from having 5 wontons in to 3 and costing more than before. Prawn toast was soggy and haas basically no prawns. The spring rolls were cold, soggy and squished, fried wontons had no prawns in and the ribs were dry with almost no meat and all bone. Fried rice was old dry and over boiled. This meal was not worth £25 we paid and such a shame because this Chinese used to be great quality at a good price and I understand price increases but not the complete drop in quality. Will never be returning.

My go to place for both fish and chips but also Chinese food. Friendly staff and the food is great and affordable in these tough times.

Ordered a house special curry with chips and a pancake roll. Under £10 for the lot and there was so much food I had to finish it the next morning, and I can scoff a lot! Everything was lovely too. Certainly recommend...

Affordable prices and fast services - best fish n chips in Pompey!

My pancake roll was very oily and barely any meat in it at all. The egg fried rice was a little mushy, the duck in pineapple sauce was delicious, just the right amount of sweet

Lovely little takeaway in the heart of Portsmouth, been coming here for years, family run business. I know people who come from all over the city to visit here. Prices are very reasonable priced. Food is gorgeous.

A nice bit of grub is to be had here, if you want fish it is best to telefone before hand. Always loved their onion vinegar to go with my chips...

My favorite Chinese restaurant, the spices and the flavors are awesome. Its an amazing place to get Chinese food. cheap and healthy. Its a kind of home food, me and my wife love their tofu noodle. They have a good variety of starters such as veg and non veg spring rolls, salt and pepper tofu etc. As its located out of the main road there is not much rush and there is very less waiting time. Hope you will have a good experience.
