How modern Indian food should be. Lamb Dhansak tender, full of flavour. Sag paneer, cauliflower side to perfection. From the Bradford school. Recommend highly.

Amazing food service with a beautiful view. We were lucky enough to walk in with no booking. Had to wait just 10 minutes. Will be back .. The portion sizes are big so don't be afraid to ask for a container to take leftovers home.

Food was excellent again, we were a party of 5 but only ordered 4 mains and 4 starters to share with sides, portions are generous and we ended up taking about a quarter home in take out trays (too tasty to waste). My wife enjoyed the cocktails (mojito and a pina colada).

Mate this place is insane, the pina colada was the best I’ve had. The lamb shank Devine the dum biryani so fragrant with tender lamb and caramelised onions, the mix grill and prawn starters were so good. Would 💯 recommend for flavour lovers

Probably one of the best Indian meals we’ve ever eaten, also one of the most expensive but you get what you pay for, worth it for the location. Exceptional service and a shout out to Billy, so attentive and a credit to the Restaurant. Thank you.

The best Indian restaurant in Portsmouth in my opinion. The food is cooked to a high standard, the lamb is cooked to perfection- tender and succulent, the garlic rice is to die for. The waiters/waitresses are quick, responsive and courteous. The price is you get what you pay for. A winner in my eyes.

We dined here on Saturday (May 11th). I can honestly say it was the best Indian restaurant I've ever experienced. The food was super fresh, extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. My wife chose a vegetarian dish which she loved and my daughter and son in law were so impressed with the food and service. I really don't mind paying a little more for great food and service. I have no hesitation in leaving a 5* review.

Best curry we have had in a while absolutely delicious, service was spot on and the waiter even cracked a joke at our friend having a korma (baby food) was really amusing. We got a lovely table with a beautiful view of the boats, really can't say enough about how much we enjoyed it. And yes your right we probably will be back next week haha thanks again.

We called for a few drinks to port solent and spotted this place tucked around the corner, we moved from Manchester (renowned for its curry mile) to Portsmouth 2 years ago and havnt found anywhere that compares in regards to a decent curry. Well this place smashed it outa the park!! The service was fab, price was great but the food…… is to die for! We had popadoms and chuntneys (really flavoursome) Onion barghies again packed with flavour, lamb balti (the lamb was cooked to perfection) the balti sauce was perfect! Other half had CTM and didn’t leave any of it. Pashwari naan and a couple of beers it was the best I’ve tasted since being down south, a huge 5* from us, it’s a shame it tucked away many people will miss out on this absolute belter WE WILL BE BACK!!

Surprisingly good. Our first visit, for a birthday celebration, and I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. My only negative is the pricing. The staff were good and attentive and the dishes tasty, especially the Naan breads. Overall, recommended.

Although the food was quite good, the service was very poor. We had to wait ages for our starters, and then they turned up with the mains . The place is extremely noisy, and so we found ourselves either shouting to each other or remaining silent.

I recently dined at what claims to be an Indian cuisine restaurant, but honestly, it was a disappointment from start to finish. The food lacked any discernible flavor, leaving me wondering if the chef had forgotten to season it altogether. I couldn't finish any of the dishes and ended up heading to another place just to satisfy my hunger. The only decent items were the salad served with the chicken chaat and the chocolates served after the meal. As for the biryani, it was lukewarm at best, making me suspect that it had been hastily reheated, possibly even sourced from a Tesco takeaway. I've frequented numerous Indian restaurants in the past, but this one easily ranks as the worst. Save your taste buds the agony and dine elsewhere. Not only was the food lackluster, but the experience was marred by insensitive comments from the staff. We left all the food untouched, a testament to its subpar quality. To add insult to injury, the staff had the audacity to explain away the dismal dishes by claiming it was "white people Indian food," which is not only offensive but also blatantly wrong. Good food transcends cultural boundaries, and this excuse only further highlights the restaurant's lack of authenticity and respect for its cuisine. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this establishment at all costs.

Went here quite early 6/6.30 pm surprised at how busy it got so early , good sign . Food excellent, service OK at first , atmosphere ok for early evening. Service deteriorated after we had finished our food, once the plates had been cleared there was an obvious move to free up the table & shuffle us out the door. Pity up to then it was fine.

Wow, what a great place to eat! Emily greeted us on our arrival, giving our group of seven a very warm welcome Billy took our drinks order, and we settled down to make our choice from the extensive menu. Poppadoms and chutneys duly arrived, and then Billy returned to take our orders; 2 madras, 1 balti, 1 balti to madras heat, 1 jalfrezi, and 1 khorai (1 of our party unable to eat sadly). Mmmm, everything was brilliant and compliments on the food came from all of us. Sanya and Abdul made sure we were happy - We were very happy l!! - and Abdul kept the drinks coming when wanted. All the staff very attentive without being intrusive or pushy. Both were just happy to help. The decor and furnishings in Prachee have been tastefully done, contemporary with little nods to India (especially the Tuk Tuk); a really nice place to be. Stupidly, I forgot to take photos simply because I was having such a good time. Suffice to say that the food was beautifully presented and a joy to eat. We were all so impressed that we said we would be returning with our respective wives and partners. Probably the best food I have had outside of India. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you all for a memorable evening.

Came here with a large group for dinner. Food was delicious and lovely array of drinks including wine, beer and cocktails - all very good. Service was very good with constantly asking if we wanted more drinks. If you are a larger party I do recommend getting them to check what they have written down as we had several items missing when we asked them to do this. Overall a lovely day out

One of the Top 3 Indian meals I've ever had in 45 years and my wife was blown away by their Tandoori Chicken. Gotta try the lamb shank though. Perfectly cooked, uber-tasty meat infused in so many flavours. Staff were lovely and friendly and service was quick. Absolutely tip top!

Brilliant food and a great menu but service was poor- one person in particular was so rude to one of my friends it was laughable. The other staff were friendly and accommodating to dietary requests but sadly this didn’t make up for the rudeness we experienced.

First impression looks great and staff very accommodating. Popped to the Gary's and they were filthy. Ordered chicken tikka starter and was more like a rump steak with a rashioned 3 pieces. Main meal I ordered korma and rice and that was better although again the chicken tasted like it had been microwaved. The wine was nice and chilled but that's not really why I chose to eat there. Sorry guys but you need to step it up in a Premier area like that.

Lovely fresh food that is served in a timely manner with just the right amount of flair. The dishes are not swimming in ghee/grease like some other Indian establishments. I also had a Pina colada mocktail that was delicious. Can't wait to return to this Indian gem.

We booked a table for 10 and when we arrived, we were immediately asked if we still wanted 10 seats which in the event, we didn't as one of the party couldn't make it. Another was running late and before taking our drinks order, we were asked again if we still needed the setting - I didn't understand why they found this to be the most important thing? Anyway, we put our drinks orders in and the waiter asked as he was leaving whether we wanted poppadoms and being distracted by our toddlers, we agreed to them. Unfortunately, they came out as 2 each (including the kids) and cost £20! Don't be fooled by your friendly waiter! We asked for the food to be served together and it was served in 2 halves which was fine given how big our order was. The food was piping hot, the puri being very tasty. However, the Prachee Sizzler had an odd buttery taste to it and was very salty. Others had the madras which was also salty so we believe it's over salted in an attempt to get you to order more drinks. One drink had to be reordered after being forgotten despite being almost harassed for extra drinks orders. When the bill came, we wanted to split the bill according to who ate what but the drinks were lumped together under "drinks £60" so it was a faff going through the drinks menu to itemise it ourselves. Overall, I think the service was generally fine if a bit pushy. The food unfortunately was a bit salty. The atmosphere was lovely though, it's great sitting by the marina and having a beautiful sunset however it wouldn't be enough to persuade me to return and pay the expensive prices when there are many restaurants with better food at more reasonable prices.

Little gem of a restaurant, recommended to us by friends. I had the butter chicken which was, by far, the best butter chicken I've ever eaten. Beautifully presented, great size portion and just delicious. Will definitely go back and have already recommended to lots of people.

It's great food, nice location (unless it's busy then it's noisy) BUT... JUST CLEAN THE GENTS TOILET! The basin is caked in calcium and it's grotty everywhere. People do notice, It's a five minute job and it HAS been said before... You just can't be bothered. I assume/hope you take more care of the kitchen. Go and look and tell me I'm wrong...😵‍💫

Very pleased with the starter, however my Chicken Tikka madras was the worst I have had. It was like a Chinese Chicken curry with Spice. £15 for something so basic as a Madras.

Was expecting better, the food was very bland, not what I was hoping for at all. Almost liked they had run out of spices!!! Staff were good but at over 70 pounds for two, I didn't think it was good value and probably won't be going back.

Rather disappointed with food, thought it alittle bland, Onion Bhaji was tasty and presented beautifully which lead me to relish the main course, alas wasn't as tasty as the Bhaji, Chicken Tikka Massala (played it safe for New restaurant) but all I could actually taste was tomato no other spice flavours coming through !! So although staff very welcoming and nice view onto harbour, not for me again.

Starters were lovely and also rice and side dishes. The main dishes were all lacking something ...although spicy they lacked flavour and depth. Toilets could do with a good clean. Such a shame as it's a lovely location. Staff are amazing though.

I always go to a place a few times before writing a review, to give a weighted overall view. I've been 3 times in the past few months, with a group of 6, and then just myself and partner twice. All experiences have been very very good. The food is lovely, the staff are polite, attentive, but not over crowding, and they keep an eye out in case you need more drinks, more dips etc. Well priced, and a few different meals on the menu along with all the usuals you would expect. I love the lamb starter. So tender and delicately spiced. Easy Parking at Port Solent and easy to walk to along the boardwalk. I've already booked to go again - twice ;o)

Terrible! I've been to this restaurant twice before. First time, food and service was excellent. Second time, service was good but food was poor. Went a third and final time thinking that maybe they had an off night. 4 of us visited. The place was busy so we were hopeful that it'd be good. We got our drinks and poppadoms within 15mins, so that was okay. It took over an hour to get the mains. We ordered 2 x chicken tikka biryani and 2 x chicken pasandas. The meals were almost colourless and tasted bland. We didn't finish any of the meals. There was no tikka on the chicken. The passanda was a greyish-beige. When the waiter asked us how our meal was, we said, honestly, that the food was bland and very disappointing. The waiter asked me what he should do about it and I suggested a reduction to the bill. He declined. When I said that I would write a review he said that he didn't care and that I would write what I want anyway. Then I asked to speak to the manager. He said he went to see if he 'was in' and, although he came back and said that he was, he said he was in the kitchen and was too busy to come and see me. I was shocked by the responses received and I insisted on a reduction to the bill. They reduced the bill by the two cheapest meals and it was still £67. I didn't leave a tip! Clearly, the management of this restaurant has no time for customers, and the food is appalling. To suggest we couldn't afford our meal says it all. We didn't even eat half of the food, despite our best efforts. Luckily, my review is supported by plenty of other appalling ones appearing online. If I can save one person from attending this restaurant, I've done my job. You should learn to do yours.

Very impressed with the members of staff and food. The staff are very friendly and always at the ready to answer any questions or order more drinks throughout food service. The food overall is very tasty and enjoyable for most of not all customers who come in. Would most definitely recommend to those who are in port Solent and want to have an Indian cuisine. Very impressed with the food. Had onion bhaji and a Jalfrezi with basmati rice. Highly recommended with a naan bread on the side.

Saturday evening, the restaurant was full and the service was excellent. The staff worked so hard, great organisation and teamwork. The food was absolutely incredible, the four of us were so impressed.

This is an amazing place to eat. The staff were very accommodating. And the food is out of this world. Our pictures show what a date night should look like. And what it is like when you have a 2 Yr old with you.

We had an amazing meal here last night - the chicken was tender and of high quality, the naan was fluffy, rice was spot on, service was amazing. The waiters didn’t stop all evening. Only reason it dropped a star was the long wait.

Pleasant Indian restaurant on the side of the marina. Modern decor, large inside with plenty of seating. Staff helpful. Good selection of dishes, ours were less spicy than we expected. Portions good not overpowering. Prices are reasonable although higher than we are used to paying for similar dishes, possibly due to the location.

Located overlooking the marina, with good food, good service & a nice atmosphere. Free parking next to Port Solent is a bonus. Moderate prices, would visit again when in the area.

Great atmosphere, good service, fantastic food and cocktails- mojito was excellent! We were a group of diners who certainly know good authentic Indian food and Parchee lived up to the restaurant expectations. Any issues we had with the food were sorted quickly and the staff did a really good job ensuring that allergies and intolerances (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and nut allergies) were all catered for. Would recommend both as a good location and as a great restaurant with good, tasty, well cooked food to visit 👍🏾

Warm welcoming, good customer service and well cooked meal with superb flavours. The korma was sweet and soft with the perfect flavoured made better with a company of oconut rice. The authentic Korai was rich and delightful. Will be sure to return when I next want an Indian!! Highly recommend this place. If your lucky could sit by the window viewing the marina.

Horrible horrible horrible...One of the worst experience ever. Would give zero rating if possible. Staff were very rude and foul mouthed in front of kids and asked us to leave the restaurant because allegedly kids were noisy in an already loud restaurant. Apparently some racist white folks complained. That unravelled what could be described as worst dinner experience ever in my life. It was astonishing. We're made to leave at 9:30pm immediately when we questioned their attitude!!! They were aggressive which made kids cry. If Port Solent security weren't involved they'd have been violent. In fact security pushed the so called brother-in-law of the owner inside for his violent behaviour and they apologised to us as they genuinely cared about the image of the area.We'd to scramble for food at night and Luckily La casa Flamenca accomodated who're very friendly and the food was great. Don't get fooled by Indian name and calling it an Indian restaurant this is a Bangladeshi restaurant who're hostile and racist towards coloured customers. Nothing indianness in food, culture, behaviour or customer service (indians treat guests as gods and Customer as king) . Please please stay away from this fake Indian restaurant. Its Bangladeshi.
