We arrived with my dad, he uses a wheelchair and Yvonne was helpful in finding us a suitable table, food came out promptly and dad loved his gammon egg and chips off the set menu with a pudding, Dads eyes were getting bigger than his belly so Yvonne suggested dad could take his pudding home. Me and mum had a carvery sandwich. Lovely people, lunch and service. Thank you 😊

Met up with a friend for a bank holiday catchup. We each had a meal and a drink. The food and drink was very good and the service was excellent. I had too many peas on my plate, but that’s my only complaint. Will definitely be back soon.

The manger s was very rude when me and my boyfriend went in there today we had a breakfast too good to go and we sat down and was going to buy a drink too eat it as we have done before then this rude lady came up too us and said you cant eat this in here unless you going to pay another 6 pounds we had already brought the food of the propety so she kicked us out without being able too get a drink and it is very warm today absultly disgusted as i am a diaylsis patient and basicly asked too leave

We were here for a family lunch and all of us chose the carvery which was first class as we have always found it to be! The team were helpful too as we have always found them to be, and it was a lovely event. Well done to the whole team for being consistently good. 👍

Went to the pub this afternoon with my elderly parents what a awful experience this was carvery cold meat so fatty wouldn't give it my dog spoke to the manager rude and was not interested that we had a crap meal offered a 2 pound refund what a joke will never ever visit this pub again my parents usually go once a week as a treat but will never go again how can they say the carvery is nice I will never understand and the staff giggling behind you very rude I would like to speak to a higher manager to see what they say what an insult only given 2 pound to phob you off disgraceful

Went for mother's day and had a carvery (gammon and beef) the gammon was absolutely beautiful the beef not so much everything else on my plate was edible at best very bland especially the gravy it was powdery and tasteless the absolute worst part of the meal was the drinks ordered 3 lemonades for us all and can only describe the taste as wet dog overall not impressed and won't be going again

On a hospitality front staff weren't very visible bar the bar staff who were very helpful I had burger n chips burger was beautiful chips were hit n miss my partner had carvery beef was just fatty n gravy was very thick n my daughter had a baby carvery which I thought was a brilliant idea however she didn't eat much of it as Yorkshire pudding was bit dry but it is deffo worth a visit there for the atmosphere

Absolutely awful carvery . Cold meat -veg roast potatoes was warm. Gravy was like water cold you could taste the gravy powder like it’s not been heated properly. Would not recommend at all.

We have been many times before and it's been lovely. 28th Feb we booked for my birthday there were 7of us at 6.15 pm. 4 of us had the carvery and 3 pizzas. The kids only eat turkey So we went for the turkey and there wasn't any (this was 6,30) and they hadn't got any more turkeys , so it has gammon or the chewy looking beef. I dont know why we weren't told when we placed the order for carveries. Anyway, it was disappointing and the mashed potatoes were tasteless

Just visited this place for the first time due to turning up to our usual Stonehouse and it being closed for refurbishment. We ordered drinks and carvery for 2, went to get our food, the stuffing was almost empty and looked dry and burnt. On asking if there was some new, was told no!! After my partner said it didn't look great the guy serving said that's all we've got and walked away!! This was at 4.45pm which is tea time so I believe there would have been more to come. On which when we left ,we did see it had been changed!! The turkey and veg was cold!! The roast potatoes were very dry and cold!! This was the worst Stonehouse carvery we have ever had and would never return to this particular branch again. We will wait for our regular place to be completed. If we could have given it a -5 score we would have. The 1 is due to being the lowest possible rating!! I don't know how these places stay open with quality like this !!!! And the guy serving behind the carvery should be disciplined as his customer care and service was disgusting!!! 😠 date visited for looking into the staff serving, 24/02/25

The food was excellent (carvery). However, my wife complained about having roast beef with too much fat. So far, the best Stonehouse we have visited.

We had the carvery, you can't beat it for value for money. The staff were extremely kind and friendly. We stopped off as we drove from Bradford to London. Will come again. The lady behind the bar was delightful. The lady who cleared our plates and wiped our table was friendly to us and our dog. The young man serving the carvery was more than helpful. Thank you all. Absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were all so lovely and friendly even the chefs seemed to be in a chipper mood! The all you can eat breakfast was fantastic and was great to see some different bits on there like the waffles. The atmosphere was lovely and was a very easy and relaxing experience with no fuss. Lady serving me at the bar was very nice and didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience to as for soy milk. Really enjoyed my time here will 100% be returning regularly. Oh and just to add I appreciate how warm and cosy it was inside just the experience I was looking for!

Food is fantastic, the carvery’s are to die for and most the staff are smiling talkative and pleasant however after todays experience me and my partner came for a carvery and there was one particular member of staff running the pizza and burger table whose attitude towards her staff Members and customers was unbelievable, she shouted at the carvery staff for something she herself got wrong then when they went to assist she came to do mine and my boyfriends carvery, she was sulking and slammed our plates down sliced the meat and chucked it on the side, then picked the meat up and slammed it on our plates. She then again got angry at the staff that were trying there best to assist and get the fresh food out where she then said what the hell is this for, and the staff member politely it’s in your cheque. This really upset us as every time the carvery staff are so lovely and she was not nice to them! Such a shame and I found it rather hard biting my tongue - more for the way she treated the other staff. The two other men on the carvery were fabulous and don’t deserve to put up with this lady.

The Young Vanish has been a regular stop off and meeting point when traveling to see family for years. The prices are fair, the food is reasonable and the location is convenient.

Carvery was good but ran out of turkey, but could smell burning

I met up with a friend for a nice meal and a drink. I had a meat free carvery and the quality of the food and the service at the bar and at the carvery was excellent. If I was being really ultra-picky, I would say that the gravy was not labelled as being vegetarian like the rest of the carvery, however I have been numerous times and have asked staff about this before, so I know that it is. It would be nice if it was labelled though as some people could get confused. Other than that, an excellent experience and I will definitely be back.

We go to the Young Vanish as a family a few times each year. Normally on a Saturday evening around 5pm as this seems to be a nice time to be there. It can get quite busy if football is on but I'm not a football fan so avoid these times where possible. Food is always brilliant, good size portions and a good choice at the carvery. Staff always friendly and polite. Really is a nice place to go with the family.

Staff very polite and helpful towards myself and family members. We were left to enjoy our food in peace. When we needed help staff available. Food was tasty and warm. Place was clean. Car park, spaces available. Thank you for a lovely meal

We go to the young vanish most weeks, the food is decent, Jordan Tara and all the staff are really helpful and go out of the way to make sure you leave feeling happy, myself my mum and my girls enjoy it here.

Zoe was lovely, went out of her way and managed to find us a table when fully booked

Was very pleased with bar staff and others apart from staff serving carvery,food was ok but not great also having to pay 99p for a empty dish for my grandson to eat a little of our food as he is not quite 1yrs old yet I thought was disgusting won't be going there again soon

Have to say I’ve always had a first class meal and service here but today was different. Staff brilliant but food was not as good. Tough beef and cauliflower was raw and I couldn’t slice through it and the veg was defo frozen and not fresh although they might argue it was Yorkshire pudding wasn’t homemade either as it looked less risen and not as crispy as it has been in the past. I’m sure that the government imposing increased national insurance and taxes have forces businesses to either cut staff or quality. It was a nice treat to eat out but I left half of my plate and so did my friend. Have to say what I managed to eat was tasty but I’ve had better here.

Absolutely a lovely family friendly place. Great atmosphere and it's brilliant we can bring our dog too. We have started to pop in more often for a lovely carvery too.

Always enjoy the carvery, 5 of us had it, good food, reasonably priced.

Top tip first, use the car park furthest from M1 - the other one is very small with limited room for turning around. I chose 3 tapas for £9.99 - great value. All the dishes were derp fried - vegetable dippers, salt & pepper mushrooms and prawn tempura. Batter was excellent on them all but I thought the dips were rather bland. My cousin had fish and chips, very good but serving on a piece of paper when there are mushy peas involved is not a good idea. Again very good value at £9.99 Soft drinks were expensive at over £3.50 for a pint of coke. We thought the server was offhand when we asked what the process was for ordering food.

Went for Sunday dinner didn’t realise we had to book staff member wasn’t very polite he said that we can sit there pointing out a table next to the bar when we asked if there were any other tables he said all booked has he frowned 2 minutes later a lady and 3 kids came in who haven’t booked and he showed them a table in the dining area looks like we caught him having a bad attitude minute other than that the food was great 👍

Carvery is brilliant, meaning the place is always very busy. We turned up 8 minutes early so couldn't get seated until we had drinks (that's fair enough). My only down side is it feels a bit like a cattle market, constantly rushing to get more bums on seats, which I understand as that is ultimately what makes the money. I'd advise booking in advance especially on a Sunday.

Carvery is always nice and hot. Plenty of choice. They also do a very good calzone. Staff are always friendly and polite.

If you want good food that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, then you may want to head here! Service is superb, food is beautiful, outdoor seating area (if ever ut stops raining lol) and large carpark. 100%recommend

Brilliant stop off point after a long journey. Toilets were immaculate and the staff are so friendly and professional.

Mostly the food was great little tight on the meat but otherwise good. Only thing I did have a problem with was the gravy was like water very very runny prefer thicker gravy. Maybe in future put a runny one out for the people that like it and a thicker one for me and anyone else that prefers it. Staff were very friendly and all had smiles, that’s why it’s one of my favourite places to eat.

I first booked for 4 people but 2 more was added on with no problem Then when we went to get our carvery as I was struggling because I just came out hospital the chef (wish I knew his name) shout for one of his staff didn't get her name either but I'm sure they know who they are I just can't thank them enough We are regulars at young vanish and will continue to be so Thank you once again Xxx

Came for a Sunday dinner, the food was lovely and the atmosphere was busy but pleasent. Had a large dinner which was a little too big. But was worth it. Everything was cooked lovely and the meat was really tasty. Only downside was it was really warm in there, especially when your having food.

Carvery was lovely. There was lots of choice for meat and veg and was good value for money. The staff was lovely even brought the dog and was made welcome in the bar area and he got lots of fusses and puppacino

Had carvery which was ok for the money but not brilliant! Beef was very fatty, yorkshire was clearly bought in, veg was a bit dry and the cauliflower cheese had no sauce at all where it had sat there so long it dried out! Probably would go again cos it's cheap and cheerful but wouldn't recommend for anything other than a quick, cheap meal.

Had fish and chips with garden peas fish was beautiful would have been nice if we got more chips there wasn’t even a hand full on my plate ask waitress were the rest of the chips were and she just said sorry and walked off . All 3 meals looks like children’s meals

Stopped for cavery on way to Hardwick Hall. Food not bad, and drinks fine, roast potatoes particularly nice. If near by call in

The venue is unkept and not welcoming. The carvery staff were rude. My son (6) asked for gammon and turkey but he was rudely told no, he could only pick one. Children are apparently not equal to adults and are only allowed once choice of meat… when I questioned this I was rudely told “that’s just how it is, kids get one meat!” Now I am not sure what the difference is as he was given two small pieces of gammon so surely he could have had a slice of meat from each one. The gravy was watery and there were flies around the sauces. It was really quiet for a Saturday evening ,another family walked in and quickly left (I wish we’d had done the same). I made a complaint last time about a similar issue but clearly management are not taking our feedback on board and nothing will change. We will be travelling to Toby Carvery in future even though it is further away from us.
