I called ahead to get a bouquet made up, gave my price range and colours I wanted and they absolutely smashed it out of the park. I'm so impressed.

There's two kinds of definitions when it comes to products. Things that are expensive and things that cost a lot of money. This is the latter but that's a good thing. I paid a lot for a bouquet for Mothers Day, but it was so worth it I would go back again and again. It was a wonderful bouquet and arranged so well. It wasn't some bunch of flowers that i could get anywhere and over pay because i picked it up on the day of the occasion. Well done to the people running it.

Lovely cafe, past present and future, books and objects galore, soft interesting music in the background. Quirky, homely, relaxed, friendly, a local must for everyone who is looking for time alone, or friendly chats, meet ups, a quick coffee, or an hour long real tea leaves tea pot, de- stress, unwind, dream, get inspired, with delicious food and drink. A full sensorial immersion and proper tea room feel...which is now very rare...

We have to buy flowers for clients in Theatre shows across London and have had to try lots of different florists over the last 20 years- we moved to HG 4 years ago and have bought from YDBMF ever since, I call up tell them how much I want to spend and stop by and pick them up on the way into town and when I tell you the amount of people that stop me all over London (and the UK) to ask where they are from! So many! The flowers bouquets are stunning, unique and really made with love, bursting with creativity and compared to what you get elsewhere in London or online for the price are actually super reasonable- shopping independently is vital! Support your local business, buy their coffee, their cakes, plants and flowers because they are at the heart of the community and would be lamented if they were every gone - these women work tirelessly to create something really special in the heart of Hither Green and we cherish and appreciate that.

Grew up in Lewisham. Lived in Catford for my last two years in the UK - ydbmf was my weekend spot every weekend because of the lovely staff, lovely shop and ESPECIALLY lovely flowers and cake and coffee. I still order my flowers for mum on special occasions from here, all the way from Dubai. Best coffee shop in SE London (or all of London) by a mile, best people, best everything. I’m back home next month and I cannot wait to not only visit again, but bring my gf who’s never set foot into the depths of south London. Absolute home from home and just perfect.

My favourite coffee shop in the area. Delicious coffee, and they also have a fab array of plants and flowers to buy, as well as cards and gift wrap.

Me and my partner were having a little wedding ceremony at a town hall and I wanted to have a small bouquet. I walked in on a Monday to pick from their beautiful selection of flowers, then picked up the bouquet on the Tuesday before heading off to get married! It was super easy, the staff were great and I got a beautiful bouquet!

Really lovely setting for a coffee and a cake. Quirky interiors and the cakes are really yummy! The cafe side of the business is really nice but I have been let down before with the service and quality of the flowers. The flowers they stock are really beautiful and the arrangements are the best in the area in terms of style but they do not last and are very expensive. The flowers I have had from them look beautiful for a few days but so not last half the time as some of the other florists in the area which is such a shame :( I also stood in there for about 15 minutes waiting to buy a bunch of flowers while the lady on the counter chatted to another customer. I could overhear the conversation it was very much ‘chit chat’ while myself and another lady patiently waited to be served. I actually missed my train because of the wait and there was no apology or acknowledgement we had been waiting. Another thing to flag is it is VERY expensive for the cards and wrap in there which is a shame as they have a lovely selection.

Best coffee in the area, they bake lovely cakes and sell nice flower bouquets and paper cards. Nice deco and welcoming atmosphere. We have now moved to Blackheath but keep returning!

Great coffee, stunning flowers, amazing staff.

Unbelievably bad hot chocolate for an expensive price. I bought this hot chocolate this morning on my way home with my daughter. I was wondering why it tasted so weak even though I was swirling it vigorously. I got to the bottom and there was loads of undissolved chocolate powder, absolutely loads (doesn't show so well in the picture). This is the sort of thing you expect on Pret or Starbucks but not when you are paying over the odds. I would have gone back to complain but was more than halfway home and had a hungry toddler to feed before naptime. Very disappointed.

These people are robbing b******s!!! They charged me £12 for a small bunch of tulips which would have cost half that at any other florist. I felt violated, but once they had wrapped them I didn't feel I could say no. Absolutely disgusted by my experience here.

Stopped by for a coffee to go and got tempted by the most amazing vegetarian sausage rolls! Sat outside and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of Hither Green. Look forward to visiting again.

Coffee here is NEXT LEVEL! Staff are lovely - lovely community spirit. Cakes and food are also lovely. The mix of flowers, cakes, bread and coffee make for an incredible smell when you're in the place. Very cosy - recommend!

Absolutely the best flower shop I've used in London . My partner is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to flowers (she may say fussy) but every bouquet bought from here has been an unequivocal success. Great to see her almost in awe of the quality, choice of flowers and arrangement. I always leave the choice up to them and they have never let me known. Should also add, it's a beautiful little shop with very friendly and helpful staff, the cafe is also a great addition. Combined provides quite a San Francisco in feel to Hither Green. Quite an achievement!

Ridiculously delicious chocolate, raspberry, almond croissant cake - possibly the most incredible sweet thing I've ever eaten. Fabulous coffee too. Great Great place!

Lovely small caf/flower shop, great coffee and delicious cakes. Gave 4 as staff were not wearing masks on most of my visits pre June when they were still required.

Before my husband and I went to London in 2019 we saw a driving instructor on the tv show Undriveables sitting at this cafe. After Googling the name and seeing good reviews we decided to try it on our trip. It was very good coffee, comparable with Melbourne Australia where we live. They used a great soy milk, Bonsoy. Why are we only writing this review now? Because we only recently started writing reviews on Google.

We went here the day before Mother’s Day and we didn’t pre-order (will do next time). The helpful staff weren’t able to serve us due to the number of orders they had but they promised to give us a call at end of Day if they had stock left to makes us up a bouquet, and they did! We now have two beautiful bouquets and very happy Mother’s! Thank you so so much 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Amazing coffee, great pastries, bread and the most glorious selection of plants and flowers. This shop is heaven. Can be busy after school drop off first thing in the morning but the community built ‘arc’ outside is fantastic to be able to prop yourself under if the weather is bad.

This is my daily coffee shop. The BEST coffee in South East London. I don't start my work day without a coffee from YDBMF ! Lynne and the other ladies are a delight and their love of vintage and the unique is contagious. We also buy flowers from them for our special occasions. Highly recommended ❗

I'd heard good things about this place from a couple of people so decided to try it. The food was good and the setting is great (love the terrace), but sadly the plus points were cancelled out by the staff. Please note that this review is based on three visits, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt! First of all, they don't seem to have a system: I was there once and left before my friend. I paid for my friend and spoke to the member of staff behind the till, asking her to make sure that she didn't pay again. She didn't note it down or anything, and my friend ended up having to pay too - we paid twice for one thing. Also, my partner was there once and someone pushed in front of her in the queue. The staff didn't deal with it and served the push in first. Secondly, they're just a bit rude. They seem to view paying customers as an inconvenience and aren't really interested in helping you at all. This kind of behaviour is more expected in some chains, but as this is an independent cafe which could offer so much to the community, it's disappointing. I think people don't bring them flowers for a reason...

Such a beautiful cafe, come Florist, come vintage shop. We had a delicious wholesome soup, and a massive slab of cake. My friend ended up buying a gorgeous handbag! Can't wait to be in the area again

Best flower arrangements in the area, unique and not cookie cutter at all. Their cafe miel is great! I hope it's a frequent special. Their food is nice, but the bread is very thickly sliced, so a bit difficult for me to eat gracefully. An asset to Hither Green.

We have enjoyed this cozy unique cafe for the last eight years. The cakes and sandwiches are delicious and the staff are always kind and helpful.

Quirky in South London suburbia. Sells flowers, coffees, yummy cakes and sandwiches the size of doorsteps. Food and drink excellent. But they to its appeal is the decor. Harvest wreathes and plaster ducks adorn the walls. Salvaged vintage furniture lovingly restored. Bits of China, artificial flowers. There’s even a dolls house at the top of the stairs and a small sitting out space for glorious days like today. To step in here is to take a rest from the hustle and bustle of London and soothe your soul as well as your stomach. Whoever put this place together is a person we should all want to know - warm, welcoming, interesting and full of imagination. Whoever you are, I hope you prosper.

A rare place, A florist and coffee shop with beautiful vibe. The environment is eclectic with lots of bric-a-brac and small items for sale. A real hidden gem.

I don't get this place - I've been in a couple of times over the last several months and been treated pretty poorly. Most recently I followed my wife in, I was probably half a minute behind as I was getting cash out from the sainsbury atm. On entering, I couldn't see her so happily asked the women whether she'd seen a blonde woman come in and go upstairs - rather tersely she said 'how would I know' - I didn't really know what to say - I was polite and friendly, the fact the place is tiny I was surprised she didn't notice someone come in and pass by on their way up the stairs! Its just odd there - I'm all for supporting this local businesses but lifes too short for this sort of attitude. Good luck to them./

I have been to this cafe/florist - how brilliant is that!! - quite a few times recently. One of the few places I can get vegan food and even better.... vegan cakes! One of the most friendliest places I have ever been to and all the people working there are simply lovely. They now have a piano so you can knock out a few tunes whilst you’re there.

Been coming here for years and visit when in the area. Beautiful homemade cakes and breads of high quality. Done a lot of work supporting the area too.

Popped in here to buy sympathy flowers for a friend and couldn't resist buying a little box of cakes to take to her too. Beautifully light and delicious. They sell quirky greetings cards too but I already had one. Lovely place for a relaxed coffee, with scent of the flowers wafting through. Always a pleasure to visit.

I love this place. The coffee is great and they make fantastic toast. It is decorated in a beautifully Kitch way. It's lovely place to spend time with friends.

Real COFFEE coffee.. not coffee flavoured milky drink... top quality cakes, looks all hand made and are mega scummy, prices higher than average but real quality always costs that bit more than usual. .great staff, very individual identity cafe/tea room/cake shop.

Enjoy drinking tea from a tea pot and old mismatched china. Cakes are excellent and there's a good choice. You can spread out upstairs to work or read the papers. So the place has a genuine feel of a local asset. I love the byegone interior and it's nice sitting among the flowers. Staff are enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. Location just by Hither Green station .

Must be the best double macchiato in hither green. Great people and always interesting things to buy. Love coming here and getting a coffee hit.

Good coffee, really nice sandwiches, great cakes. Fun retro feel. No idea why some people have a problem with the service. Not enough like Starbucks maybe? Also does flowers that are more interesting than your average florist.
