Had an excellent dining experience at Yo! Sushi! The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor, but what really stood out was the fantastic service from Jerum. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great time. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on, and he went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. It’s always a pleasure to be served by someone who truly cares about the customer experience. Will definitely be coming back—highly recommend!

As soon i step inside.. i was greeted by staff which is really great, a lot of restaurant lack of this basic fundamental.. In terms of food.. I'am vegetarian.. Jerum and John made sure i feel comfortable about choosing my food and didn't fail to suggest.. i had pumpkin curry which is so guuds! Best curry ive had in awhile.. lastly the atmosphere is great.. we sat in a vip like table which was allow me to have conversation with my peers so vividly.. overall experience is amazing! fantastic dine

Our first time in this restaurant, the server Melissa sat us down, and explained the menu and how the belt works. we came in for a quick lunch, the conveyor belt had a variety of sushi, which made the experience convenient and fast. I recommend seaweed salad, salmon nigiri 🍣 and California crunchy roll. Will be back again!

Sub par service, dirty chopsticks, dirty plates with the soy sauce wasabi and ginger stand. Ingrained dirt around the raised plinth that the condiments sit on. Dirty floor and food splashes on the side. The wasabi looked like it had been there since last week and tasted like a beautiful pea green paste… of nothing: It took 10 minutes for the two bottles of sparkling water to arrive. Then the food… that was a mixed bag and not anywhere near the standards I’ve experienced from Yo before. They’ve reintroduced the conveyor belt which made Yo such a different experience… but the food looked sweaty and unappetising so, we ordered gyoza and Korean fried chicken from the menu. The gyoza were crispy and tasty but the Korean fried chicken was cold chicken nuggets swamped in a sauce not unlike the dipping sauce that comes with the prawn crackers. We gave it one last chance using watched some salmon sashimi and rolls hit the conveyor… it was fun watching them travel from the kitchen on the conveyor belt. They were quite disgusting with mushy and tasteless salmon. This experience cost me £40 and I’ll never return. We went to Tortilla across the way and had a burrito for lunch that was hot, tasty and filling and most importantly… not an utter disappointment

I attended today with my daughter for the bottomless belt Thursdays! Food was good, staff are very kind and friendly but no hot plates on the belt despite the website stating that they are available. I understand this may be down to restaurant preference, and demand. Logically doesn't make sense to add hot plates on the belt particularly if there is a risk they won't be eaten. Yo Sushi is big on preventing food waste, so makes sense. A lack of yellow plates however I spotted an earlier table that had clocked up about 6 yellow plates during their bottomless hour! So i think if you get there at 4, you can grab some yellow plates. Overall a generally positive experience. Staff made all the difference. There were no cheesecakes on the belt and we asked them, they kindly put some out for us to collect before our hour ended. I am stuffed, we will be back.

Booked a table for 6 people , for a birthday gathering ! Table was designed to hold four people! Plus no blinds on windows so sun blasting in. Then told told six normal people can fit on table! - We were greeted at the door by a waiter who told us they were out of 15+ items on the menu. This was a sign of what was to come.... - We spent over 20 minutes trying to flag a waiter/waitress down to take our drinks/food order. - Once we managed to flag the manager down to ask if we could order drinks we were told that he was in the middle of laying tables and showing guests to their tables and he would come over after that. - Restaurant felt dirty (the plates on the conveyor belt look old, tired and covered in scratches), lots of dirty tables that had not been cleaned. In the end we ended up leaving the restaurant and going to the new Sticks and Sushi in Kingston (fully recommend). We did complain to the manager who offered no real apology and let us walk out (I have since complained to Yo customer service).

We ordered chicken katsu curry, chicken gyoza, prawn katsu curry, and dorayaki pancakes. Most of the food was great, but the chicken in the katsu curry was really disappointing. It tasted like old frying oil, even though the rest of the dish was fine but the chicken was easily the worst I have ever had from a Japanese resturant. For how much it costs, it just didn’t feel worth the price. On top of that, the kitchen didn’t look clean. The stainless steel walls and hot plates seemed like they hadn’t been properly cleaned in ages, and the bowls on the conveyor belt, especially the clear domes, looked dirty too. Luckily, my wife’s chicken gyoza and prawn katsu curry were really good and I highly recommend them especially the orayaki pancakes, so at least she enjoyed her meal!

Excellent service, price was not worth the stomach ache Total price - £22 Food: Yo! Roll - Avoid at all costs. The combination of room-temp salmon and mayonnaise left me genuinely nauseous Crunchy California roll - Good crab and crunch combo with eel sauce, though the mayo was rather overpowering Salmon Nigiri - Unfortunately didn’t get to taste, was too scared to touch the salmon Miso soup - 90% seaweed and green onions, the onion flavor was completely overwhelming, to the point I can still taste it. Needs more broth, less filling. Service: Five stars, staff were very friendly and accommodating Atmosphere: Four stars: Lovely place, comfortable booths, great window view. Sushi belt was rather squeaky but not enough to ruin the experience In conclusion, not worth the price for the food alone. I would recommend sushi point or sticks’n’sushi over Yo! Sushi, better food for around the same price.

We have been a few Times over the summer holidays and the service has always been a bit lacklustre. Most of the staff look really unhappy to be there which just leads to a really uncomfortable eating experience for the customer. Today was awful though, a new low. After 45 minutes of waiting for our food to arrive we asked.. they hadn't put the order through. Pretty bad already but the apology was so forced and there was no compensation.. we hadn't even received our drinks and it was so hot our kids were becoming miserable. It's such a shame because the food is really good and very good value, but the service is excruciatingly poor.

Really disappointing experience today. Usually Yo! Is so efficient, but service was very poor. Very little variety on the belt : virtually all salmon nigiri or kaiso salad so all other dishes had to be ordered off the menu, and it took forever. I actually cancelled my second order as it took 45 mins for my drink and first plate to arrive … not good. Won’t rush back to this branch.

The UK is unfortunately a lot more expensive lately and this place is no exception, though for about £25 per head you can have a good selection of sushi. Bare in mind this is a chain and you're going to get sushi with all sorts of mayonnaise, crab stick fillings etc so don't go expecting some authentic experience maintained for the last 300 years or anything but for decent enough sushi and pretty good customer service definitely worth popping by.

Food portions small. What really grates on me about this branch of Yo! is that they try to add a 10% service charge to your bill and do not notify customers of this. I checked, and nowhere on their menu does it state a discretionary 10% service charge is added to each bill. I take exception to this automatic 10% charge being added and insisted, on point of principle, that it was removed. Staff member got a bit stroppy that I asked for its removal. Winds me up when restaurants think they have the right to automatically uplift a customer's bill without any notification. I was served my items directly by the chefs in any event.

Love the food, very good quality given this is not a 5 star sushi restaurant or anything. I do not like, however, that service is automatically included. This is an Americanism which has no place in the UK. We have had the National Minimum Wage since 1998. If your service is good, I'll pay. However here service mostly automated (conveyor belt, app etc). I don't appreciate 12% being automatically added on for very basic amenities.

I used to come here when it first opened and the atmosphere was great, food was always great and the staff were super professional but it just seemed today like the whole place was just not at its best. There was a horrible whiff as we walked passed the accessible, toilet then when we arrived at the table we were told the food could be taken from the sushi train, ordered on the app or ordered via the wait staff. It was just all too confusing and too much. We eventually got everything we wanted to eat but the timeline on it was all just a bit odd. The sushi rice seemed stale but the Bento box my kids shared was a winner. We had a strange conversation with a waitress about extra curry sauce too.. Perhaps gone are the glory days of this restaurant or maybe they were just having a hectic weekend. Either way, I'll visit again but my hopes won't be too high.

My recent visit to Yo Sushi left much to be desired. The sushi, touted for its freshness, was surprisingly bland and lacked the vibrant flavors I expected. The rice was dry, and the fish didn't seem as if it was of the highest quality. Adding to the disappointment was the slow and indifferent service. The staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive to our concerns, making the overall experience less than enjoyable. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Yo Sushi based on this lackluster dining experience.

When we was waiting in the queue to be seated she walked past us ignoring us when we said "hello" when we finally spoke to her she then blamed the way she acted on how busy she was and didn't accept she was being rude and persisted to then be sarcastic about it by smirking and laughing ,while still talking to us, when we was talking to her about it and telling her "there was no need to ignore us and then come back when we comforted you about it and be sarcastic, by laughing and smirking". All in all her "front of house" and "customer service" was shockingly terrible. Such a bad experience

Not impressed. The sushi selections on the revolving belt don't look fresh -- they look like they've been sitting for a while. The yakisoba was bland. Athough we have to wait to be seated, there's no service to rate because no one really checks on you after someone brings your order to the table from an app.

Staff do not take initiative. They can see a customer standing by the order point, but dont say, hi, how are you, can I help etc. Also couldn't tell me how I can locate my loyalty number. Also I asked for a receipt but didn't get one. Staff need more training in customer service. Update: Head office apologised and did send me a gift voucher. So I have changed to 3 stars.

Used to love this place a lot. I’d come specifically for their chicken ramen and Korean chicken. But as I’ve been recently they’ve changed their menu a lot and removed a lot of favourites. Their quality of food has declined a lot with smaller portions and higher prices, changing recipes etc. Really quite a shame because I loved their food but I won’t be going back anymore, their counter at Tesco is better.

The staff did not seem to be happy to be there, and it seemed we were putting them out when we requested wasabi and ginger to go with our sushi. The water taps at each table have gone (or at least we did not this where we were sat), as have the call buttons to let staff know you need something. Sadly the quality of the food has also decreased, but the prices have shot up (as they have in most food places over the last few years). Granted it's the only place that has the conveyor belt experience, but in my view there are other better value and better quality sushi options in Kingston.

I visited this restaurant a few years ago and it was great. Decided today to treat a relative to lunch there - big mistake. We were seated right in front of the kitchen, facing it, and it’s not an attractive kitchen - quite unpleasant looking, actually; there should be a screen to hide it from view. The food available on the belt was disappointingly limited in variety, so we decided to order three extra items from the menu. Trouble is, you have to do this by scanning a QR code with your phone (so don’t eat there if you haven’t got a phone). Even though the server was standing right by my elbow, I couldn’t ask him for anything, but had to use this dumb app, which I didn’t find very user friendly. I tried to order two portions of fried prawns, for example, but the app only gave me the option of one portion or three! Food ordered was nothing special; fries which looked interesting on the menu turned out to be just ordinary fries plastered in disgusting gooey mayonnaise! Bill came to over £63 for a moderate amount of sub-standard food, one beer and a Diet Coke. Just awful! I’m never going back.

I’ve been there for first time. I asked for noodles and chicken curry. Came soup, perhaps it was instant soup, like the one you put the hot water in it. I’ve paid almost £6. I’m pretty sure the lady did not understand what I asked to have. Hopefully next time I’ll get what I want.
