Pokie & Roll in Kingston upon Thames

One of my very favourite restaurants. I've been coming back since I discovered this little gem. Everyone who i brought over also loved it!

I've ordered at this place for the past 3 years and never been disappointed by the food, which is why it's difficult having to put a 2 stars review. I have ordered a poki in February and felt quite sick after eating (diarrea). I don't know if it was the salmon or the chicken being uncooked, but now honestly I am quite scared to order again as I do not want to be sick again. Please improve the quality of the cooking, being ill was not a nice feeling.

Food was really disappointing - wife ordered the poke and roll bowl and the rice was super chewy, I had the katsu bao bun and it tasted very bland and overfried. The 10 yen Nutella pancake was undercooked and it wasn’t original Nutella and there was too much of it, very messy to eat.

fantastic service, food was delicious, very good will be going back. never in my life did i realise i had such a great food spot on my doorstep in a lovely part of kingston. the vibes the food can’t complain, will definitely be returning on a regular basis

Wow! The selection was vast and yet so approachable. The rice bowls are amazing - so tasty, filled with fresh protein (sweet chilli chicken in mine) and veggies. I had a large bowl for lunch and honestly don’t think I’ll need to eat again until tomorrow… Will definitely be back for more!! So much to try - including the pudding menu!!

The food arrived an hour late. It was entirely the wrong order. When I spoke to the restaurant on the phone, they couldn’t offer a solution other than to apply for a refund.

Not gonna lie, this is the best restaurant I've ever been to, and I can't get enough of it. Every time I go, I'm tempted to order twice because the food always amazes me. The customer service is incredibly kind and friendly, and the staff are such cool dudes 😎🌟! There's one particular guy who's always willing to do everything in the kitchen, and he works unbelievably fast, always making it on time! Oh gosh, I wish I could remember his name... he's short and funny! I'm pretty sure you'll recognize him quickly if you visit. Anyway, I'm very happy with their service and will never forget how tasty the food is. I highly recommend it for your family or even a date 😏 I'm pretty sure you'll have a great time! 🔥

My 10 years old daughter had some food at this lovely little gem place in Kinston with her friends and wouldn’t stop talking about it.Today she came home with a little nots and drawing she made to suggest what we should eat for dinner, so we went for a take away and was greeted by lovely guy called Abs. Very professional, friendly and recommended what sauce will go with our meal. We are extremely happy with the service and the yummy food! We will definitely visit again soon. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for healthy and affordable meal☺️

A couple of weekends ago, I stumbled upon Pokie & Roll, a delightful Japanese Fusion Poke Bowl restaurant in Kingston, which turned out to be an unexpected highlight of my evening. After discovering that the kitchen at the neighboring pub had already closed post 9pm and with my stomach growling louder than the music next door, I was in dire need of a quick, satisfying meal. Thankfully, the security at the pub recommended Pokie & Roll, just as they were about to close for the night. At first glance, seeing the staff tidying up, I was hesitant. But to my surprise, they were incredibly welcoming. Upon request from the security, a staff member named Abs graciously reopened the salad bar and consulted with the kitchen. Moments later, they prepared a delicious crispy chicken katsu curry bowl with a side of fresh salad. Abs was particularly friendly and helpful, offering recommendations without rushing me, ensuring my meal was exactly what I needed. The bowl was not only a lifesaver but genuinely delicious—a true testament to the quality and freshness of their food. The kindness and flexibility of Abs and the rest of the staff at Pokie & Roll turned a simple meal into a memorable part of my night. This place isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a prime example of customer service excellence, where the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate a late customer. Pokie & Roll is definitely a hidden gem in Kingston with its lovely team and exceptional food. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, delightful bite. Been going here since it opened and it's always good hot food and the guys that run it. Anthony and Vince you guys make this place a hot spot for Kingston. To eat in or out they got you sorted. you get full on the medium bowl but if your hungry go large you will not be disappointed. Families are welcome it's a great place to eat and your in the heart of Kingston.

Absolutely loved my experience at Pokie &Roll ! The sushi was incredibly fresh, with each piece crafted to perfection. The ambiance was peaceful and authentically Japanese, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine Japanese flavors. Will definitely be back!

My daughter and I visited today for the first time and the service was excellent. The food was made quickly and to a high quality with fresh ingredients, and the price was great to match. The whole restaurant was very clean and had a great atmosphere. Would definitely come here again.

All the cutlery, cups, and bowls were all single-use, which is not only very wasteful and environmentally unfriendly but illegal. Vegan and vegetarian options are available but not clearly labelled. Bad atmosphere with lots of tacky pop music playing.

We travel a lot and we always go back to this place to get our custom sushi bowls when we're in the area. Really affordable and yummy and service is fast and nice!

Visiting Kingston and wanted to find a nice acai bowl, found a review that said theirs are the best and it definitely was! Staff member was friendly, and the bowl was absolutely delicious. Quite high in price, but near london so to be expected. Really delicious acai bowl.

A really interesting and varied menu with excellent food that is healthy but super tasty. They are run by excellent staff who listen to your needs and deliver on them. A great business to keep your family happy and healthy! Win win!

Please look into this driver seemed like he was working for more than one delivery company at the same time was watching him on the map food was very late,I do delivery's myself and would never break the rules not fair on the other workers if he's multiapping!

Was served by Abbs who was very friendly & helped me choose from a wide choice (I have lots of allergies), the food was delicious & very filling to the point I could only eat half of a medium sized tub but I got to take the rest home for dinner. Would highly recommend it!!

Had a katsu wrap and have spent the following day on the toilet. Didn't read the 1 star reviews, wish I had. On the plus side if you want to lose an inch or two off your waistline then this is the place.

Located in town centre. It a small Japanese restaurant take away. The customer service is good and appently the menu seems to offer lot of variety. We’ve ordered the sushi rolls and one wrap, one poke bowl and 2 spring rolls. The food was not good quality and sushi rolls were giant and salmon and chicken were really smelly. Never again.

I Recommend make your own bowl meal deal. Very nice! We tried the katsu donut which was a disappointment as it was blended chicken. The chicken grilled wrap I also do not recommend as it had no flavour and needed to be seasoned. Overall nice service.

Tried for the 1st time it was brilliant, and I loved every bit of it. It's worth the money. And all meat is halal as well. So, I had an amazing time there.

Called me to say my order would be missing items, then refused to cancel the order, then tried to deliver the wrong food. I have no food and no refund. Abysmal

Most of the food was average. I received a cheese medallion which was burnt and I had to asked for a replacement. The replacement was lacking in flavour and the only thing that I enjoyed was the Katsu Chicken bao burger. The establishment was over hyped by food influencers on social media and I was greatly disappointed and I find it hard in wanting to visit again.

Purely an amazing place, lovely and friendly stuff, the food is really testy, and the best part is that u can mix anything u want with any toppings and any base. Wraps, bowls, sushi burrito. You should definitely try it out

Best food experience I've ever had, and best Chicken Katsu Curry ivd ever had. Portion sizes are big and filling. My only regret is not currently having the money to go here more.

As an athlete I need to watch my weight, they offer delicious healthy food and of course lots of other choices like their sweet chilli chicken and their chicken wing are to die for! Highly recommend eating here or order on deliveroo.

Really good. Out of stock of one item of protein, so the store called me to offer me a choice of replacements. I went for prawns instead of salmon. The meal was delicious and healthy.

Can’t find any other restaurant at lunch time with my big family. Not expecting too much because there is not many customers in there. But the food is so well way more than expected. Food coming quickly and fresh. The price is also good. Even the small size is big enough for me.

I love coming here for my sweet chilli chicken box meal. There are so many options and I can create my own box if I fancy something else! Very nice atmosphere, the guys remember what I usually order and that I don’t eat egg so only vegan mayo for me. They have variations of Japanese drinks too! Good food for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Dine in - I had celebrated my birthday in this wonderful restaurant. I am so pleased with the service. The owner made my birthday very special. The food was delicious and fresh. I am do happy with this experience. I would definitely recommend this to all poke lovers. Plus it was halal so even better!

Quare a disappointing experience. Well, I would say the worst salmon poke I've ever had. Hot rice which is more like porridge, tasteless small pieces of salmon & tuna and simple mayo as dressing. For £10? No, thank you.

Even after asking the restaurant to make sure the portion sizes were correct the octopus ball portion was tiny. Used to get way more food for almost a tenner less. Won't be going back, 3 times I've been scammed by this restaurant now and still hungry after eating everything. Wish I'd got a pizza, could have saved £12 and been stuffed afterwards. £26 for a small salad. Don't waste your money.

I decided to try this place on a Friday at lunchtime. There was no queue and I was served fast. My beef ramen was way too salty and the beef was as hard as a boot! It was my first time there and I won't be returning. Not recommended.

Waited for two hours for the order, which never arrived. Staff refused to send it out or issue a refund. Some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Working locally and a team of us put an order in (individually to ensure nothing was forgotten but linked order details so the restaurant knew and could link delivery if they wanted but retain delivery price After initial order via their website they contacted on a random mobile number to say they don't deliver (bit odd as on Just Eat and their website it is an option) Explained it was an option and the voice on the phone said they would ring back They didn't I then got another phone call saying one of the extras wasn't available and they had no wings and needed to substitute Unfortunately all but one option I was allergic to (had noted on restaurant notes on Web order) Chose replacement and awaited the order The order was delivered by a separate company who I assume couldn't access the delivery notes. They initially asked us to meet us at a different gate (which we can't get to) so after a bit of faffing we managed to get them to come down to the next gate we'd specified Food wise it was okay. Rice was a little stodgy and the beef was quite tough Korean BBQ sauce was nice and veg was relatively nice I ended up sharing mine as the other order from our party made 10 minutes prior to mine was a colossal mess up It did not arrive My party waited for nearly 2 hours constantly phoning the restaurant to assess the problem The delivery company blocked my friends number The restaurant kept saying it was on way and the driver was near I phoned several times to ask them to contact the driver (they kept telling us to contact and giving random numbers) we'd bought the good from pokie and roll and they had zero idea where it was, we couldn't get hold of the drivers, P&R had zero inclination to follow it up The service agent in the restaurant didn't know what to do, wasn't particularly helpful and couldn't see to make any decision without his boss who was not present and would not send out a replacement order They offered a refund which has not happened or been processed and there was no contact from the restaurant to follow up Pretty useless service. The rest of the party did not get any food or any refund and very little productive or constructive input from the restaurant staff Would certainly avoid as a takeaway in future

I went there yesterday evening while the restaurant was super busy with takeaways. The two guys did an amazing job, especially the one in the counter. He was very polite and kind irrespective of us changing the mind again and again. Amazing food and nice ambience and def the best staffs. The heatwave bowl was out of the world. Love and love for the place.

Ordered via deliveroo. Got a katsu curry chicken taco which was full of bones, and was quite dry. Also had calamari which were a bit on the burnt side. Not a great first experience to be honest. Do not recommend.

They advertise CRAB roll. Which is actually CRAB STICK, WHICH ISN'T CRAB!!!

The toilet is very dirty and the door lock is broken. The staff are very nice and the food average.

Really not sure what is going on with this place as it’s so hit & miss lately. Food used to be guaranteed really nice & decent portion sizes, however the dishes have progressively got smaller so your paying a silly amount for some sticky rice & a bit of something on top! Delivery was shocking, I could see the driver was waiting for around 20+ minutes at the restaurant before he even left to deliver, not for the delivery time to be pushed back. Even then the food was delivered in around 10 minutes & was stone cold so it must have been sat around for ages even before the driver left. 1hr to deliver less than 2 miles away!

Food was good, salmon was great.

Ordered a poke bowl with brown rice. Rice was completely undercooked. Almost broke my teeth. Not normally disappointed by Poke & Roll.
