Waiting to place order, eventually had to go get a staff member. Some of the dishes were nice. Service was poor. 2 of the items we ordered were not served, even after reminding them. One of the waitress came round after we had finished the food asking whether the missing items were brought out. We kindly requested the bill without the missing items. Bill arrived but only 1 of the missing items was removed. They did remove the second one. Staff were generally good other than that, apart from the gentleman who I assume was the manager seemed grumpy.

Went for lunch with my 5 year old as a treat. As soon as we sat down he said to me, "Isn't that man so friendly and kind!". Turns out he was right, we were served by Carlos who, whilst very busy was really helpful and kind. He even convinced us to call back later for the sushi school lesson. We really enjoyed that too, I thought it might be a bit above my son but the chef running it was great and my son was absolutely buzzing when we came out. Thanks again, we will be back.

Disappointing visit. Restaurant was freezing cold, there was not many guests but still we were offered to sit at the end, it was dark and very very cold, we had to stop dining us my daughter was so cold and we had to put our coats on. We were there first time which I said to staff who took us to the table, he just said "ok, no problem" and left us, we didn't know what to do, how to order or should we eat or leave, anyway my daughter found app, and ordered drinks, and we took some sushi from belt which was nice but still nobody explained to us how to pay or what is cost of food etc. We had to anyway leave because of cold and unwelcoming atmosphere, we paid quite a lot for little food. Not to mention we took things from belt without knowing what it is as noone explained to us anything. It is definitely far too expensive. We had very bad experience and will not be back again.

Really lovely visit. Popped whilst I was waiting for my train with the specific task of something tasty to be in and out in 20 minutes. Was served by Chang & Risya and they gave amazing suggestions on the menu. I had a green tea, Miso soup and 2 insti tacos. Amazing as I’ve tried miso before and didn’t enjoy but now I’m certain I just had a bad one before as this one was unreal, so good in the cold weather as Chang said, I’ll order this again next time. Tomé las alergias con seriedad y revisé los procesos de cocción para mí sin dudarlo. La comida fresca y deliciosa consistentemente hizo cada visita. Mis 2 hijos y yo lo amamos! Good Friday, baking hot day and I don't think I've ever seen as many people in the Trinity Centre before! My daughter and I only waited about 10 minutes to be seated which was brilliant considering how busy they were! As ever, the food is amazing, the staff are great even when rushed off their feet and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We'll be back!

It was our first time at yo sushi and we were treated in a fantastic manner. We were served by Darren the manager and he made us all feel so welcome and explained the process. The food was tasty and hot. My 6 year old even tried the salmon sashimi. Also the waitress jazz was great helping us in our choices. Both are a credit to your company and we will definitely be back.

Everything but the sashimi salmon was awful! Everything was salty, the teriyaki beef was inedible and what is a taco in Japanese cuisine!?! Really disappointing over priced rubbish! Also paying £1.50 for half a glass of water for a 2 yr old is disgraceful! Sort your act out yo sushi!

Visited this place many times in the past love the beef tataki but my favourite dish here has always been the spicy seafood udon, but on yesterday’s visit I found it had been changed to spicy seafood ramen!!!most of the seafood has been taken out apart from 3 prawns and a bit of salmon and replaced with loads of noodles and salt. I sincerely hope this is only a temporary change as I might have to start going to Itsu. Used to be 5 stars for Yo but can only award 3 for now.

I never really write reviews but I have to say the staff here are just delightful. Always friendly and smiley and food is served so quickly. There was an incredibly rude family sat behind us kicking up a fuss at everything they could. One of their kids just screamed at a waitress telling her to "f off" but the staff dealt with them so well and were so courteous even when dealing with that child, who I'm pretty sure is the antichrist. I would have slapped em in the face. 10/10. Excellent work.

Clean premises. Food was lovely when it arrived but the service was appalling. 4 of us attended and we ordered off the menu. Waited 20 minutes between plates for the next to arrive. Kept having to ask the waitress where our food was. An hour and half later after still waiting we got up and left still hungry

Watching the little bowls taking a ride around on a conveyor belt and getting excited when you see the bowl you want heading your way. From simple to more daring food, mild and spicy choices. You do have to look through the menu to see what you fancy picking up when you recognise it. There are hot dishes to choose from which you order and they cook fresh and bring it to your table. My favourite is the beef teriyaki I can’t get enough of that and it is one of the more expensive dishes.

Went for lunch with my daughter while shopping in Leeds. She comes here a lot whilst I have never ever tried sushi and took a lot of persuading to go in and try it. So glad I did! Having had preconceptions that sushi was just seaweed and raw fish I find it is so much more than that. The food was amazing AND they do puddings too! This will be our regular spot when in Leeds from now on!

Came here after Christmas shopping. Sat at the bar, buzzers weren’t working which was a pain because trying to get a managers attention was a task in itself. Had a few plates off the carousel which were nice but then tried ordering off the menu. I wanted the katsu chicken curry and Korean chicken but that type of chicken they had run out of! Bit shoddy.

I have frequented many yo sushi restaurants as I'm often working away and this has to be one of the worst I have ever been to. First off on blue plate monday they have run out of salmon, steak and cauliflower so only about half of the blue plate menu is actually available. Quite a few of the sushi roll dishes on the belt were falling apart and the crispy squid I ordered had lots of batter bits in there and the actual pieces with squid in were a dark brown which looked to me like they had been in the oil too long. Funnily enough the crispy bits were a light golden brown which says to me the squid had been recooked. To top it off none of the service buttons were working. I don't know if the plan is to close this branch but it seems to be lacking in investment and forward planning. I won't be returning here

I am a frequent visitor at yo sushi. The vegan options are plentiful, food is always prepped fresh and quick. The price is reasonable - NHS staff are eligible for 20% with a blue light card.

Went along with my 1/3 off birthday voucher as a belated birthday treat. There was quite a big unexpected queue outside due to events going on in the city. However as we joined the queue (reluctantly) the gentleman came out to take our names straight away and to ressure us a table for two would only be a few minutes. He came back 30 seconds later and offered us a great spot at the conveyor belt bar! Asked the staff prior to eating if the voucher would work, and the lovely guy serving us said yes, hopefully, but they already had a discounted menu anyway. It worked as expected in the end so saved a lot of money as we had quite a bit to eat. Had hot plates of noodles and the amazing tofu katsu curry, as well as the sushi from the belt and also fresh sushi rolls and desserts we ordered. Everything came super quickly and the chefs were even chatting to us as they prepared our food. Waiting staff were efficient and speedy but I didn't feel rushed at all even though they were busy. Well worth a visit especially if you have a discount code, student discount signup, or on 'Blue Monday' as can be a bit pricier than local independant places if you're greedy like me.

My granddaughter goes here with her Mummy and Daddy. She loves the place. So I thought I would take her for lunch whilst in Leeds. I didn’t know what to order so she suggested Katsu Curry. It was absolutely gorgeous. It tasted so fresh. The coated chicken was crunchy on the outside while inside the chicken was moist and succulent. We both had a dessert as well. I must say, food was hot, service was very good. The staff do everything they can to help you. Explain the menu, and how the process of ordering and paying work. Will be going back very soon. Will highly recommend to all my friends. Well worth a visit and return.

Just grab a table and sit down, if you need assistance or drinks just press the button on the table. All the dishes are different colours and each colour has a cost. Try as much as you like. Friendly staff and genuine sushi, it is very easy to run up the bill though :)

Went to the Sushi making class which was bought as a gift for me. Had to book months in advance and could see why. The course was excellent (two hours with Carlos the sushi 'master') and got to take home all we had made (enough for a football team !) . The pre and post course admin was great as well. I emailed Mandy as I had forgotten to put the included course instruction and recipe booklet in my carrier bag and she posted me another one by special delivery (+ another bamboo roller and chopsticks !) the next day. Great service - well done guys !!

This is my favourite Yo Sushi to go to. The bar is rarely full so if you’re dining solo or with a small group it’s easy to grab seats and tuck in straight away, but we usually opt for a small wait for a booth as they’re a little more comfortable.

As you’d expect, lots of sushi to choose from on the conveyor. Put your order in for the specifics, wait for them to arrive and enjoy and share. Only downside was that one of our orders took a long time to arrive, we forgot about it and were about to leave!

One of our agreed favourites is YO! Sushi. It's great for those of us who love finger, or chop-stick sized portions to indulge in numerous dishes without the hefty wastage and YO! has a relaxed and sociable air which makes it inviting. This YO! experience in particular stood out for us, despite the fact it's located in a shopping-centre, which is exceptionally convenient for when you've worn yourself out shopping or hit the cocktails too hard; it was clean, the staff are friendly and approachable, the service was great and unlike some of the smaller restaurants from the chain this one had booth seating rather than just around the carousel. The selection of food is always great value. Couldn't fault this visit. Perfect for casual dining, a quick bite, dates or catching up with friends.

I have never eaten sushi before. It was my first time but not the last one for sure. Atmosphere in this place is amazing. Form of serving meals was the thing that I really enjoyed. High class service made me feel very comfortable. Fresh and good quality food. About the taste there is nothing to talk about because it depends. If you like sushi you love this place. I really didn't expect that raw fish can be so great.

Me and my husband love yo! Sushi. We have been to many of their chain restaurants around the country. This time we decided to visit the Leeds branch. It was big and we had a chose of a booth or the bar. We chose a booth. We was seated immediately and asked if we had dined before and was given menus and also the blue Monday menu, there was an extra offer on with it being January so more then the regular discounted dishes were on the menu which was a bonus. We always order chicken rice, beef teriyaki and a bowl of soup. And then chose from the conveyor belt. It’s a great place to eat and love trying something new, the service was great. The restaurant wasn’t far from a car park and the staff were friendly and efficient. Tables clean and tidy. It’s definitely a yo! Sushi we will be visiting again

The Leeds Harvey Nichols site closed in 2016, replaced by Polpo which is also closed. Used to love coming here especially for Sumo Sunday, 10 plates for £20. but offer finished : ( Nearest Yo-sushi is now in trinity shopping centre, 10 min walk away

Meine erste Erfahrung am „Sushi-Belt“. Ich hatte zwar schon Sushi gegessen, bisher aber noch nie an einem Sushi-Belt. Es war sehr schmackhaft und wurde frisch vor unseren Augen zubereitet. Wenn auf dem Belt nicht das Richtige dabei war, konnten wir die gewünschten Dinge bestellen und diese wurden sehr flott gebracht. Montags gibt es immer Blue Monday, da gibt es dann viele verschiedenen Plates für 2,80£. Im allgemeinen war es etwas laut, aber später wurde es ruhiger, da weniger Gäste im Lokal waren. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Después de unos días estupendos en leeds decidimos comer en este sitio. La opción sobre la comida es muy cara y poca cantidad. Estaba buena pero no repetiría. La segunda parte es unas de las peores experiencias que hemos tenido. Estábamos comiendo y se los callo encima un bloque de pizarra ( fotos) . Menos mal que mi pareja en ese momento se fue a colocar la coleta y por eso no callo en la cabeza. Dándole un golpe tremendo en la muñeca y estropeando el móvil. La tercera parte es que trabajaba allí un chico encantador que hablaba Español y nos ayudó mucho en la conversación. La chica que nos atendió (Sían) nos atendió muy bien , vino un médico para ver la muñeca. Todo muy bien hasta que queríamos que nos solucionaran el problema del teléfono, nos dijeron que si traíamos la factura o email de ella nos lo pagararían. Al día siguiente toda la mañana llamando a España para que no la enviaran. Esa tarde fuimos con la factura. La cuarta parte es una pesadilla , aparece el encargado (supuestamente se llama .........así por qué no nos dio sus datos.) fuimos a apple y resulta la la pantalla no estaba rota y nos alegramos por ello, le digamos que la carcasa está mal y se Puso a gritarnos amenazante , tanto que tuve que encararme con el . No nos pago la carcasa y se fue. Subimos al restaurante para pedir los datos de la empresa y nos los dio. Rellenamos un informe el adía anterior con lo que había sucedido y no nos lo dio. Volvió y nos dijo que nos fuéramos en tono amenazador. Nosotros pedimos una Coca Cola para que nos dieran la factura con los datos para poder denunciar. Tres horas el día del accidente y dos horas el día después perdidas y la peor experiencia en un restaurante.

Almorcé aquí el lunes con mi hija y es la 1 vez de la calle que alguna vez he estado en una. Debo decir que realmente lo disfruté. Tuvimos que esperar por una mesa, ya que estaba muy ocupado, pero una vez sentado el personal fue muy amable y servicial y explicó cómo funcionó, tuvimos la suerte de que era lunes azul, donde algunos de los cuencos son más baratos y había un montón de elección. Tuvimos un montón de comida y postres diferentes, incluyendo bebidas y solo 33, que tenía una buena relación calidad-precio. Comería aquí de nuevo

Es un muy buen lugar de sushi pero muy caro. Las bebidas son costosas y también lo son los platos, pero la selección es excelente. Los chefs de Yo Sushi trabajan y preparan la comida en el medio y la comida se abre paso en una cinta transportadora. Con sede en el centro comercial Trinity, así que su estacionamiento de varias plantas.

Visited the restaurant to be told there was a 10 minute wait for a booth, we could clearly see that no one was leaving anytime soon but thought we would give it a chance- 20 mins gone and space at the bar came up, it wasn't offered to us even though we were top of the list and would have changed our minds to get sat down as still no one was leaving, after half an hour, without one member of staff speaking to us to even apologise for the wait we left.

I must eat here twice a week the staff and the food is always amazing. Even the chefs say hello. Even to silly things like remembering I like extra chillis and black pepper.

If you want to eat less and yet eat full and want to get the feel of Tokyo flavors, you got to be there. One of the few places to try out Asian dishes. I like the sushi here and the idea of food being served on a conveyer belt. Pretty awesome!Good ambience, good service, excellent food,slightly high price but satisfaction guaranteed.

I love Yo! Sushi, they get it right every single time no matter which location you use. The surroundings, the selection of foods (hot and cold), and the friendly staff make for a very enjoyable experience.It's easy to get carried away with the small dishes and rack up your bill, but fully worth it.I've never had any need to complain about anything, and have always enjoyed every dish i've eaten here. Teriyaki chicken and Katsu curry being my favourites.If you haven't tried a Yo! Sushi, you really don't know what your missing!

We love Yo! sushi and one night (pre gig) decided to check out the new menu at the Trinity restaurant. We had a slight wait - it seems we weren't the only one wanting to try the menu. The disappointing thing was being made to wait outside in the cold shopping centre as they could only keep three people inside it seems. After roughly 20 long minutes (which was what we were advised) we were seated opposite the chefs preparing the food. Great view! We ate a range of dishes off the belt (the new mackerel sushi, and a salmon platter( and also ordered off the hot menu, which was freshly made in front of us. Nothing disappointed and all met to the high standard we are used to with Yo! Sushi.The only reservation I have is the final bill. We drank the water from the new taps (sparkling and still), and had 9 dishes between us, including soya beans and salads, and it came to over £50 for two people. This means I'll be much more reserved when considering whether to go again. Is it good? Yes. Is it £50 good with no alcohol? No.

Whenever I'm in Leeds you'll be sure to find me here! The variety in food you can have is amazing and its all absolutely delicious. Even if you're not a big fish lover there are so many options you will definitely not be disappointed. Bit pricey but its sushi! It's worth every penny. Plus the staff are always friendly and welcoming which just adds to the great atmosphere this place has.

My husband and I are real lovers of Yo Sushi! We have visited them in York, London, Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds and this is one of the better locations!The restaurant is in Trinity shopping centre which is amazing but does mean it is very busy. When we arrived people were already queuing outside so we joined the line. The staff frequently came outside though to check that everyone was alright and to make notes on booths or bar seats.Once seated there was a wide range of food on the conveyer and if you pressed the button to order other dishes staff were attentive and the food was served quickly.A funny note to add was the broken hand dryer that said "miso sorry"! Nicely played Yo Sushi!

Some people are put off by the name because it is a sushi place and feel like sign is basically just fish, IT IS NOT! If your a beginner to sushi then please try Yo! Sushi just once and I swear you will become a lover of the place. Student discount, Blue Monday's offer which every blue plate is £2.50. Staff here are really lovely too.

I love Yo! it never disappoints. I often pop in for a bite to eat when out shopping with friends. Staff always lovely and helpful and the food is fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced always is a bonus too!

Now me and my other half are both 'foodies' so we thought we'd try it out. NEVER AGAIN. Appalling food, very expensive for what it was and the amount of salt used gave me high blood pressure to look at. Alongside this, the plastic plates didn't even look clean. Neither of us mind paying more for good food, but we thought the prices were extortionate! How can you charge £3 for four bits of cucumber, a tablespoon of rice and a tiny bit of seaweed? If you're looking for a nice place to eat, there are plenty of places in Leeds. This is NOT one of them.

We are dedicated fans and the Trinity Yo Sushi always has lots of food on the belt. The Harvey Nichols branch has - nowt. Went for the Sunday £20 for 10 dishes and couldn't even get to that. The food was incredibly greasy and vinegary. No water taps. Ordered cucumber maki (which is always on the belt) and it just never showed up so we gave up and left. Even the dipping sauces tasted oily. Just felt like nobody really cared behind the counter.

I was nervous about trying sushi properly for the first time but my boyfriend wanted to go so we took a trip to this Harvey Nicholls' Yo!Sushi as they have the Sunday Munch offer. (For sunday munch you get 10 plates for £20)The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were really friendly and helpful, we were often asked if we could needed drinks often and if everything was alright and it was a really pleasant trip. I was really impressed with the food and the choice as well. Everything we ordered came quickly, was hot and tasted great and the belt choices were updated often with plenty going around.I was well and truly stuffed with the Sunday munch. For the offer, everyone at the table has to take part so that means you get 10 plates each. Even with the smaller items of sushi, you soon fill up! It's lasted me both meal times (lunch and dinner) and I still feel full hah!It's definitely worth doing though because we worked out that because we had quite a few pink and orange plates each (you can't have grey or yellow in the deal), that it would have been pretty expensive otherwise. We actually cut our bill in half with the deal.All in all, a lovely trip and will definitely go back there - perhaps only as a treat though!

I love sushi but most restaurants don't offer you much of a selection. Yo Sushi has so many options but doesn't have waiters hanging around asking you if need anything, which I find to be a relief. I very much enjoyed my experience.

👤The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I had to use the toilet as my food was ready so they offered to put it under the hot plate to keep it warm for me, very accommodating. ⏱️Service was quick and I had a pleasant dining experience 💰10-15/pp. I paid £12.60 for my whole meal as they had an offer for free bubble tea with any main meal. ✅Food was lovely and tasted fresh. ❤️ Would definitely visit again :)

Después de pasar por delante muchas veces a lo largo de los años, siempre significa intentarlo un día. Finalmente lo hicimos. Ojalá hubiéramos seguido caminando. Decoración del restaurante bien, el personal todo agradable aunque ligera barrera lingüística. Pretenden abastecerse de una oferta sin gluten pero pobre. Una opción de caja bento, además de otros dos platos de todo el menú. La caja de bento que tuve echa de menos la verdura tempura y el único sustituto es más arroz o más ensalada que es solo un poco de lechuga iceberg con tira de pimienta y cebolla. Opté por arroz extra en mi caja de pollo bento y tanto el arroz como el pollo estaban fríos. No estaba seguro de si era cómo estaba destinado a ser servido, cuestionado en la caja y aconsejado que estaba destinado a ser caliente, así que no solo estoy preocupado ahora por la intoxicación alimentaria, también estoy molesto por pagar £ 16. 99 para la caja de Bento que era peor que la media. El miembro del personal ofreció una disculpa leve y dijo que aconsejaría cocina y me dio un 10% de descuento en mi comida que solo tomó poco más de £ 3 de la cuenta, así que todavía pagando alrededor de £ 13. 50 para una ofrenda fría y pobre. Popped in here on our way back from Manchester (to Newcastle) as I was craving something spicy. Food was good, especially the wok fried greens and firecracker tofu. They do let you know that all the food will come out as it's ready rather than starters then mains and while normally I don't mind this, my partner's main came out about 8 minutes before mine, by which time he was almost done. And one of our small plates (bao buns) arrived when we'd both pretty much finished everything. Made it kind of a disjointed meal. The waitress also started to take some of our empty plates away while I was still eating which is a bit of a peeve of mine, but just personal preference.
