Went for lunch with my 5 year old as a treat. As soon as we sat down he said to me, "Isn't that man so friendly and kind!". Turns out he was right, we were served by Carlos who, whilst very busy was really helpful and kind. He even convinced us to call back later for the sushi school lesson. We really enjoyed that too, I thought it might be a bit above my son but the chef running it was great and my son was absolutely buzzing when we came out. Thanks again, we will be back.

Disappointing visit. Restaurant was freezing cold, there was not many guests but still we were offered to sit at the end, it was dark and very very cold, we had to stop dining us my daughter was so cold and we had to put our coats on. We were there first time which I said to staff who took us to the table, he just said "ok, no problem" and left us, we didn't know what to do, how to order or should we eat or leave, anyway my daughter found app, and ordered drinks, and we took some sushi from belt which was nice but still nobody explained to us how to pay or what is cost of food etc. We had to anyway leave because of cold and unwelcoming atmosphere, we paid quite a lot for little food. Not to mention we took things from belt without knowing what it is as noone explained to us anything. It is definitely far too expensive. We had very bad experience and will not be back again.

Really lovely visit. Popped whilst I was waiting for my train with the specific task of something tasty to be in and out in 20 minutes. Was served by Chang & Risya and they gave amazing suggestions on the menu. I had a green tea, Miso soup and 2 insti tacos. Amazing as I’ve tried miso before and didn’t enjoy but now I’m certain I just had a bad one before as this one was unreal, so good in the cold weather as Chang said, I’ll order this again next time. Really disappointing visit after having an excellent experience at another Yo! restaurant previously. Cold room and unwelcoming atmosphere. Beer glasses were dirty. Service very slow. Belt wasn't working which is one of the reasons we enjoy and come to Yo sushi. They couldn't be bothered heating up edamame beans so had them cold and they were absolutely flavourless. The rest of the food was very tasty and thanks to the staff member who allowed us to try fresh tuna free of charge - we do appreciate this. However , the menu is really expensive and the food nor experience was worth what we paid.

Been coming to Yo since the were in the Harvey Nichols and we know it’s changed since covid but wow, dirty, no staff, quality of food was poor and the main thing going round the belt was prawn crackers that looked like they’d been been since pre covid, prices have shot up and portion sizes gone down. We used to really enjoy it here but unfortunately no more, susha shame.

Absolutely shocking visit today. 4 of us, 2 adults 2 children, entered the restaurant to be told we had entered through the exit and was sent to wait at the other end of the restaurant to be seated. There were no signs on any doors of the restaurant and there were only 2 tables occupied! Despite this, we still waited for 10 minutes to be seated and to be given menus. When I asked about the children’s offer (children eat free - advertised clearly on the website) I was told only one child qualified for the offer. For my second child to qualify there was a minimum spend of £35. I queried this as nothing about this was mentioned on the t&c, (in fact the t&c state the offer stands for a maximum of 3 children!) I was repeatedly called darling in a VERY a patronising tone! When I read the t&c from their own website, I was again told, ‘Darling this is not correct’. After being made to feel unwelcome, undermined and infuriated we all left and enjoyed a meal somewhere where we were welcomed and served properly! Absolutely shocking service!

Our 7 year old daughter was desperate to go for a special celebration, we have never been before………..and won’t be going back. Asked to order via the QR code, this wouldn’t load and was extremely frustrating. Never asked if we wanted anything to drink, asked for some water, got the jug of water, had to ask again 10 mins later for glasses. The only staff member taking orders or getting drinks spent more time talking to a ‘friend’ most of the time we were there. We ordered the regular size portions of rice and noodles, we never expected them to be so small it was about 4-6 mouthfuls of food, I’m still in disbelief at the ridiculous tiny portion. We asked for the bill, he just came with his machine, inputted the dishes and told us the price, thank goodness we got a blue light card discount. I did also ask for a receipt which I meant to check before we left, but got distracted by one of my kids and didn’t check it until I got home. I really wish I had, I usually do. We got charged for a yellow dish instead of green, a £5 difference and got charged £4 service charge!! There was no service!

So I normally love Yo sushi but this is the worst experience I have had at one of their restaurants. Getting drinks was super slow the server decided to bring my friends their drinks and leave me for another 5-10mins before bringing me mine all it was was a bottle of water which she could of brought with the other bottles. So my friends got 3 dishes and finished them before I even got my first dish. Then my other 2 dishes also took forever to come and my friends were waiting for me. They had no dorayaki already at something past 12 but only decided to tell us after whispering to each other in front of us deciding what to do. The food was not great the chicken I got was very watery and tasted off. The workers clearly did not want to be there and were extremely slow. The place is filthy he wooden lampshade that was hung just above us was covered in thick chunks of dust. We went to pay and said we were paying separate she acknowledged this proceed to try charge my friend for the dorayaki that did not exist then after she took her payment walked off from me and started doing other things even when we called out to her multiple times. She then realised and said she would be a few minutes decided to give a customer a drink talk to staff then come and take my money didn't tell me if had gone through or not and walked off. This place needs cleaning and better staff I will defiantly not be visiting again any time soon

Awful experience, terrible service, glum atmosphere I was served tuna tartar without ponzu, when questioned told me no sorry we’ve run out (6:45pm…?) waited a long time for our drinks, chased up told sorry it didn’t come through. Watched them turn customers away, saying we’re not accepting walk ins. Food wasn’t great and we know YO SUSHI is better than this because we’ve dined at Meadow Hall which was amazing. Had a terrible experience, reached out on the 30th the same day to Yo Sushi online form and heard nothing back which makes it worse. Had numerous issues, the food isn’t freshly prepared like in other locations, gets taken out of a blast chiller to the point where some of the stuff is actually got condensation. Didn’t bring us half the stuff we ordered, had to highlight drinks hadn’t been brought 25 mins into eating. Ordered a pretty pricey sushi platter at nearly £20, missing 4 items on it that we had to flag. Restaurant host seemed not to care as if this was an inconvenience to correct this one. I’ve added what was actually brought out.. FOR NEARLY £20 Of the sushi that was there, it looked nothing like the picture, rather than being good cuts of salmon and tuna like in the pictures and like what we’ve had at other locations, the Leeds franchise seem to be cost cutting. Brought me chicken katsu rather than the katsu curry I ordered, host took it back and the katsu sat on the side for 12 mins whilst the chef got to making up the rice and curry sauce, the same chicken was then used. Absolutely would never go back to this location ever again, an absolute stain on the hard work the rest of the branches seems to put in to offer freshly prepared food with good service.

This was a truly awful experience. My son and I have been here plenty of times in the past and it was our treat together and we loved it, but the whole experience yesterday was weird - it was as if a bunch of random people were running the restaurant, there was no atmosphere the service was cold/disinterested the chefs more interested in talking about their lives than preparing food and it was poor. The range of food and drinks was very limited. Based on our experience we will not be going again!!

👤The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I had to use the toilet as my food was ready so they offered to put it under the hot plate to keep it warm for me, very accommodating. ⏱️Service was quick and I had a pleasant dining experience 💰10-15/pp. I paid £12.60 for my whole meal as they had an offer for free bubble tea with any main meal. ✅Food was lovely and tasted fresh. ❤️ Would definitely visit again :)

Decoración del restaurante bien, el personal todo agradable aunque ligera barrera lingüística. Pretenden abastecerse de una oferta sin gluten pero pobre. Una opción de caja bento, además de otros dos platos de todo el menú. La caja de bento que tuve echa de menos la verdura tempura y el único sustituto es más arroz o más ensalada que es solo un poco de lechuga iceberg con tira de pimienta y cebolla. Opté por arroz extra en mi caja de pollo bento y tanto el arroz como el pollo estaban fríos. No estaba seguro de si era cómo estaba destinado a ser servido, cuestionado en la caja y aconsejado que estaba destinado a ser caliente, así que no solo estoy preocupado ahora por la intoxicación alimentaria, también estoy molesto por pagar £ 16. 99 para la caja de Bento que era peor que la media. El miembro del personal ofreció una disculpa leve y dijo que aconsejaría cocina y me dio un 10% de descuento en mi comida que solo tomó poco más de £ 3 de la cuenta, así que todavía pagando alrededor de £ 13. 50 para una ofrenda fría y pobre. Ojalá hubiéramos hecho la sala de comidas en el mercado de Leeds.

Are you changing to give salmon in small pieces and not a proper slice anymore??? It feels like left over pieces of salmon 🤷🏻‍♀️ Everything was fine and would worth the price if you served a full slice.
