UPDATE !!!AVOID - FOOD POISONING!!! My wife got food poisoned. A lady manager called me after I complained. She denied it was even possible, refused to accept the problem and refused to apologise. Disgusting customer service, AVOID!

Took my partners mum here for her birthday treat. As she is a YiaYia herself the restaurant pulled out all the stops adding birthday banners and giving us a private area to eat a fabulous meze of food. Kept giving her special treatment throughout our dining experience. Even gave her some homemade cake. Amazing atmosphere and we are so grateful to the staff for giving her a day to remember.

We had an amazing dinner at Yiayias, a family run Cypriot gastropub. Nice decor combining pub experience with Authentic Cypriot & Greek food. Hospitality is great with your food served by the chef and his wife. Very flexible and accommodating. We had Moussaka and Kleftiko and both were cooked to perfection. Starters were fresh and full of flavour. We had tzaziki, feta salad, stuffed pepper, and Scampi and they were delicious. The complimentary Baklava was amazing and slightly different (in a good way) from all baklavas I have had. I come from the region and I know a good baklava.

I recently visited Yiayias at The Fox and I must say, it was an amazing experience. The food was absolutely outstanding! We order the meat Mini Maze for two. We started with the classic tzatziki, hummus, freshly baked pita bread, and salad. It was the perfect start to the meal. The flavors were fresh and vibrant. The main course, was a good portion (more that we could eat and we ended up taking some home) Everything was freshly cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. My dining partner really like the moussaka. To top it off, we ended the evening with a delicious slice of baklava. Homemade!! If you're looking for authentic Greek cuisine with exceptional service, I highly recommend Yiayias at the fox. I will definitely be coming back to try the fish Mini Maze.

We wanted to try something different and found Yiayias (which means 'Nana's'), a small and very friendly Greek/Cypriot restaurant. The food was delicious. I had the vegetable moussaka which was served with a small Greek salad, and my husband had a kebab with a huge freshly made wrap. Everything was made on site and the service was excellent. Recommended.

We used to visit here regularly; fabulous food, service and atmosphere. Then my husband b3came too unwell to leave the house. After about a year, I discovered that yiayias sometimes do takeaway meals. To my delight, the meal we had at home last night was even better than we remembered!! Thank you to all the lovely, helpful staff but most of all, thank you for the wonderful greek food, cooked every day from fresh ingredients.

We visited today for the first time with our 10 month old today and we were well looked after - felt like family and the food was delicious - thank you! We'll be coming back!

We always love our visits to the Fox, so we tried their new Sunday menu today. The service was outstanding, very friendly and warm, what a great team. There was a lot of appealing dishes to choose from and we enjoyed some dips before having some mains from the specials. The portions were very good but the main dish flavours could have been stronger and perhaps come with a salad or veg. So overall I prefer the kebabs, flatbreads and mixtures of Cypriot small plates that I have had here before and which I will come back again and again for. We love the atmosphere and appreciate what the team are doing to expand their offer, but don’t go changing too much X

Lovely staff, good food, good portions

The food was great and staff were very friendly. They even produced a delicious apple cake when they learnt it was my birthday. Would definitely go again.

We are local but have been put off by recent photos of carb heavy food. How wrong were we! The food was amazingly, fresh and so tasty. The staff were fun friendly and the chef came to see us after for feedback. I dropped a star because the seating was uncomfortable but they happily provided a cushion. We will be coming back. Tip, portions are huge so do the Greek thing and share. 😊

The children's burger was excellent in quality and rather too big in size for a small child (so she had to share). Dips were good though the spicy feta dip was too spicy for me.The pork loin with halloumi is more like halloumi with pork loin! Quit on a school holiday lunchtime but would return!

A great evening out, my family and I had the best cyprus meal that we've had in England. Really fresh an authentic. I couldn't fault it. Congratulations to the chef. We'll be soon.

Just been for dinner with my family food was authentic and delicious! Staff very friendly and professional food arrived on time me my partner and 2 kids loved it we didn’t manage to finish our food as portions were very good size so we took it home thank you for a lovely experience i would highly recommend this place we have allready booked again for next week ! Can’t wait to try the other dishes !

Our first time back since the new menu and chef and wow what a difference! The food is so authentic, I felt like I was in Cyprus! The sifado is a must, the meat was so tender and the sauce was truly amazing! Staff were so welcoming, attentive and made our night even more great. Thank you guys and we will be back 100%

I had the best experience in Yiayia’s. The owners are Greek Cypriot and you can feel that Cypriot generosity! The food is very tasty and well done. I’ve been there twice and highly recommend!!

Went back today for lunch and was surprised at the size of the burger, all home made and very good. Asked about vine leaves as not on the menu and spoke to the owner chef and within tens minutes I had a plate of them freshly made and they were excellent. Will return soon and try out the top gardens as they look lovely. We'll done guys keep up the great standard

It’s difficult to find places to eat out these days that are ‘worth it’ but Yiayias truly is. There’s an amazing family feel to the place with everyone being so welcoming. We opted for the meat sharing platter to get a bit of everything as there was so much we wanted to try from the menu. Our personal favourites were the dips, Stuffed pepper with rice and pork mince, slow cooked pork and the chefs special version of moussaka but it was all excellent. It’s called a mini meze but it is anything but, we had enough left over to take home for lunch the next day. Independent places like this really need to be supported when the food and hospitality is such a great standard. We will definitely be back.

I popped in this afternoon for lunch, They have a new menu so tried a few bits out and they didn’t disappoint! It was amazing! The staff and owner are lovely and make you feel very welcome. 100% will be retuning!

We ate here 4 years ago (I think) and it was excellent. Went back today on Father's day and it was anything but. Service was very slow and food was mediocre at best. To give you some perspective, it took more than hour to serve our starter of pitta and houmous and it was pretty bland. To be fair they had some staffing lessons and they were trying but we left without eating. It was very disappointing and actually quite upsetting as it kind of ruined Father's day for me. KFC was nice as a back up though :)

Delicious authentic food, good value for money, friendly staff.

I made a reservation at this restaurant in order to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wife. I received an email confirmation and also a reminder email the day before. When we arrived, the restaurant was locked up and apparently closed. There was no indication why. As well as the disappointment and inconvenience, this left me out of pocket by more than £35, having paid for a taxi in each direction. I also emailed the restaurant the next day to ask why the restaurant was closed but did not get a reply. Lesson learnt: don't rely on reservations being honoured here - or even on the place being open!

New amazing look, New first class Chef and super friendly staff have just injected a magnitude of brilliance into Yiayias in Farnham. The food was just different class of amazing and the service was just so welcoming, friendly and humbling. I used to like Yiayias but now I absolutely love it!! Seriously, don’t give this place a miss even if you aren’t local to the area. I can absolutely see this place becoming something very very special ***********^

Went on a Friday night as a family. The hummus starter was fantastic there was so much & the flat bread was delicious. My partner & I opted for the sharing platter! The meat kebabs were delicious but the rest were not! Our child had the homemade chicken nuggets which he enjoyed! The desserts were also nice if a little on the pricey side especially the baklava! Will be back again for the kebabs! The only downside was the table was extremely sticky & the amount of crumbs of food left on the chair was horrendous.

My girlfriend and I went to Yiayias last night for dinner. Unfortunately it was just a mess of a night for most tables upstairs, young waitress with zero facial expressions, amazes me how some people choose to go into hospitality 😆. She took our drinks order, we waited about 20 minutes, no drink and then starter came out, then, whilst eating our starters the mains came out, it was just a shambles and they weren't busy. The food Unfortunately was really poor, lamb slouvaki was so dry and lacked any flavour. I have to point out one exceptional member of staff, Chris, who was the only one capable of trying to salvage people's experience. He was profusely apologetic to everyone and just made such an effort to rectify the problems, really felt for him actually. It's a shame, this could be decent but it's poor and you would have better Grilled meats at a kebab van, I genuinely mean that. Shame.

I placed an order for DEEP FRIED HAND-CUT BABY SQUID WITH HOMEMADE TARTARE SAUCE. After waiting for 20 minutes, the dish was served without the sauce. I inquired about the missing sauce and was informed that they did not have any. This is unacceptable, especially considering the £17 price tag. The main component of the dish was absent. Subsequently, I was provided with a mixture of mayonnaise and herbs, which was referred to as tartar sauce. This is not an acceptable substitute for the advertised homemade tartare sauce. It is imperative that establishments accurately represent their menu offerings and fulfill customer expectations. Serving incomplete dishes and providing misleading information is detrimental to customer satisfaction and the reputation of the establishment.

Quite average all round. Dips and bread were great though. All dishes tasted very similar on the meze board. Atmosphere isn’t great either - pretty cold!

Food at this place is absolutely amazing. Everything tastes fresh and service and staff could not be more helpful or attentive. Portions are huge and so flavoursome. This place needs to be visited highly recommended!!

She was very accommodating, helped us get a great table, and continued to make sure we were happy with everything throughout our visit. There should be more Charlie’s in the world ……….

The kindest, friendliest restaurant! I turned up before opening time (without realising) as I was in the area and looking for a place to have a coffee. The owners was so kind and invited me in. Can’t recommend the food highly enough! I have been 3 times and the food is always amazing. The best Cypriot I have had in the UK. However the service has been a bit slow every time which is a bit disappointing. Still a great visit and would recommend.

We held my daughter’s first birthday in the dining room at the fox this weekend and it was amazing!!! Staff were brilliant, food was excellent and everyone had a great time. Can't praise the team enough for the exemplary service, great food and ensuring we had the best lunch time ever. We took our son out for a treat whilst he's being treated for leukemia, and the team there couldn't have done more to make him safe as well as treating him like a king. First class all the way and looking forward to returning again soon.

Have been on two occasions recently and had the gorgeous vegan platter (for 2 people sharing) both times. Love having the variety of dishes to try, and more than enough food for my friends and I - all of whom loved it too, even as non-vegans. Food is fresh, tasty, and authentic. The service is so friendly, and the venue is pretty cool with plenty of different seating areas. Would love to have clear listing of vegan-friendly wines on the menu but I found the info from Google myself (FYI, popular animal-derived fining agents used in the production of wine include blood and bone marrow, casein (milk protein), chitin (fiber from crustacean shells), egg albumen (derived from egg whites), fish oil, gelatin (protein from boiling animal parts), and isinglass (gelatin from fish bladder membranes).)

Excellent and busy Greek Cypriot restaurant situated in an old pub. We were a large party so got a cosy room to ourselves. The food was excellent, the portions were huge (wish I hadn’t ordered so many starters!), and the staff attentive but not intrusive. Well done to our waiter who was new but willing. Finally, the bill was a pleasant surprise.

Went with friends. Food was great and a good vegetarian/vegan selection. Me and my partner had the vegan platter for two and, truth be told, it was WAY too much food for us! Not a problem as we just took the leftovers home and ate them the next day. The Falafel was bad though, really stodgy and not at all crispy. Neither of us ate it past trying it. Maybe that's how Greek falafel is but, if I were you, I'd stick to buying falafel from an Egyptian, Turkisk or Israeli restaurant as they're much better. Would recommend though.

What can i say.The service was brilliant from the waitress and the food was amazing.For starters we tried the deep fried feta with honey....Could be our new favourite starter ever....For main we had the cypriate chicken souvlaki......5 stars...You always know you had a great meal when you come away and talk about it on the journey home.Highly recommend and will defo return👍

Only stopped in for a pint as I have never been a fan of the Greek food. But disappointingly the Fox is looking a little rundown with tables not cleared, weeds in the beds and cigarette butts on the ground outside.

First visit here to celebrate our son's 17th birthday and we loved it. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff friendly and attentive (without being too overbearing). Will definitely be going back. Thank you to the Yiayias Team for a great evening.

In the neighborhood visiting a friend, first time here and I loved it. We ordered the meat platter for two and had enough to eat and then some. All of the skewers were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The beef mousaka was especially delightful. The service was friendly and welcoming, and Leah who served us was especially kind and helpful! I would recommend this place to anyone!

We had booked a table being a Saturday night and the waitress seemed in a rush to get us seated as we had just arrived and were speaking to our friends outside before our table booking time. The food however was amazing, there wasn't much time left between starters and mains, however there was a long time between mains and puddings. The drinks selection could do with some additional alcohol free options rather then just 1 or 2 beers on offer. We will be back again for sure
