We live in London and visit often. Yeungs is by far the best traditional British-style Cantonese takeaway joint we know, including at home. And the service is 💯

My biggest criticism is that Yeungs is cash only. There are often unsavoury reasons for businesses to operate this way. Otherwise, a perfectly adequate takeaway. The food is not consistently good but overall it is okay. Prawn Crackers were greasy, egg fried rice was mostly lacking egg, conversely the crispy beef is really rather nice. I'd be tempted to return if they accepted card payments.

Just tried the food from here last night 25/05/23 drived up here from sidmouth to try and find a nice chineese as it's not great around our area. Instantly you can tell it's much better quality the bbq ribs it was falling off the bone the prawn toast very crispy and fresh the crispy beef was fresh and crispy and the chief was cooking the food in plain sight infront of everyone very impressed will drive down here for our chinese takeaway from now on

The quality of the food has gone way down. I used to really enjoy their take away but recently its been completely bland, dry and flavourless. I'm so disappointed I would never order from them again, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else for your take out.

Best Kung Po Prawns, big portion too and full of flavours. Rest of the food was lovely and reasonably priced and affordable compared to Axminster.

The Chinese takeaway is very clean, but the Curry is almost tasteless.

Good Chinese. Not too sweet or salty. Felt almost healthy. Homemade dumplings were absolutely delicious. Friendly service and delivery.

The best Chinese take out in Seaton, I recommend Pork in black bean sauce, plus the spring rolls are fantastic :)

Not great. Chowmein didn't have chowmein on it. Special fried rice had bits of spam in it. Not particularly special. The pork balls were ok so I'll give you a star for that and the crispy seaweed too.

Recommended by a friend to have a takeaway from here. But as a family wouldnt bother again, chips and fried rice very dry and chow mein bit soggy

Excellent takeaway and lovely staff best Chinese in the area without a doubt.

It was dry , like it had been heated up from the day before. Very little sauce which had no taste at all . Even the sweet and sour sauce was bland, luckily I had brought a bottle of Soy sauce on holiday with me, which helped a little. The pork was dry and the chicken slimy. I really don’t understand the good reviews. Never going there again !!

All four of us enjoyed a mixed takeaway including the aromatic duck appetiser. The food quality and service were excellent but their insistence on CASH ONLY PAYMENT in an age where many people don't carry cash, let alone £40+ causes us to drop one star.

Absolutely best Chinese we've tasted 👍👍. Even friends and family travel to see us especially for this delicious Chinese food. Excellent service. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Hailing from London and the south east we are used to having a big selection of good Chinese restaurants and takeaways to choose from. Whenever we’ve eaten further afield it’s never been as good, but Yeungs House was very good indeed. Singapore rice noodles were spicy, as were the Kung po prawns. Crispy chilli beef was definitely crispy and beef black bean was tender and tangy. Really impressed.

Outstanding Chinese takeaway food, have been buying takeaways from here for the last 7 years and never had a bad one, super friendly, super fast, super value for money.

If your in Seaton and want a takeaway you can do no better

We are local and have always enjoyed Yeung’s House meals. On this occasion we ordered a large meal for us and two family visitors. Everyone really enjoyed their meal choices, it was delicious! We pre ordered and it was ready on time. They even went out of their way to please when dealing with personal preferences and allergies. Well done Young’s House, we will return!

Very good service and excellent food

I have used this takeaway for many years and it is delicious hot quality food. Open for takeaway even through lockdown working hard even when demand was high.

Drove to Seaton and found the food excellent value,very tasty and pleasant young local man served despite the pressure of a busy Sat. The 'Hong Style' Sweet and Sour Chicken style was nothing like what I was used to and more akin the the Battered Balls Sweet and Sour but nevertheless very nice.. Wife said her Chicken in Black Bean Sauce was Top Notch.

Yeungs House used to be so good. I haven't been for a long time until recently: crispy beef wasn't crispy; noodles were overcooked, mushy and bland. Very quick service, though, and I will try again in the hope that they had just had an 'off' night

Had a takeaway over the Christmas period to try the place out. Very honestly ALL Chinese takeaway locations fail to deliver in the main, so this rating is based on that assumption in the first instance. China Town East Devon is not... All food pretty good, special chow mein nice - especially as these can often be greasy. Not in this instance. If I was to give them a little tip - make the batter on the pork/prawn/chicken balls a little lighter or thinner if possible. A tad stodgy. Prawn toast most pleasant - almost seemed home made...perhaps it was? Thanks Yeung's House...we will drop by again.

Just check your food is there before you leave was looking forward to my meal no main meat dish they saw that they forgot to put it in the bag but I could go back and pick them up Thought they might of go them to me as it was their fault This has happened last couple of times was gutted as i was sat down and looking forward to it

The management need to sack the two boys on the desk. They weren't interested in customers, one of them hit the other one on the face. That's asult. All they talked about was getting back in bed.. won't be going back.

Good food. Shame about the two young boys behind the counter who were both swearing loudly in front of a room full of customers and continuously messing around. Very unprofessional and disrespectful.

Food was tasty, plentiful and good value. Only slight negative is that I asked for my curry with no mushrooms or onions. I don't have allergies am just fussy. It came with everything but that's something I am used to !

Not a bad meal, wasn’t the hottest but I waited nearly 15 mins to collect a phone order that was already done. Couple of lads serving need a lesson in how to conduct yourself when your front of house representing a business. Giving your colleague “the bird” in front of all the waiting customers isn’t what you expects. If he was my employee, I’d sack him on the spot!

Went into this place for the first time and was greeted by two youngs boys f'ing and blinding very unprofessional, they was not checking their orders properly one of then had a girl in there hanging around rolling cigarettes not appropriate in a food place. And then on top of that my girlfriend was sick later that evening and I had a bad stomach, got more chance surviving swallowing arsenic than the food at this place AVOID at all costs.

Had a great takeaway meal from here last week whilst on holiday in Beer. Very quick service, open kitchen, and the food was spot on. Keep up the good work, see you next year 👍 😎

We visit the area a few times a year and look forward to our Chinese takeaway, the food the staff and premises are excellent.

This place has improved dramatically over the years to become one of the best around for Chinese take away. Food extremely tasty without being greasy or oily. The only downside is that its cash only but the Lord has provided a cash machine right outside the door.

My go to takeaway, good price and never disappoints

Have just had a chicken satay from here, there was no flavour of peanuts at all. The food was cooked well but was just hot chicken.....very disappointed

Very disappointed with customer service!! ! Gaved me wrong order and even didnt apologised!!!! Also i told them i was 5+ miles away from home and asked discount for this mess but they thinking only for business not customer service!!! I dont know why there is so many positive reviews!!! I have ordered at Yeungs for the first time this evening. I placed the order just after opening. I was quoted £28.50 on the phone for my order but when my husband got there he was charged £31.00. The restaurant seemed very clean and the food is cooked in front of you which is reassuring. The scores on the doors is a very nice 5 for food hygiene. I checked before we ordered. The special chow mein I ordered was a good portion size. The noodles were thicker than I'm used to in a chow mein and it contained far too many bean sprouts for my taste. The balance seemed a bit off. On the top of the chow mein were large pieces of sliced chicken and lamb and it contained lots of smaller pieces of meat, tiny prawns that were a darker colour and not as fleshy as I'm used to. All in all the chow mein was OK but not the best I've tasted. The roast chicken my son had was dry and the chips also were dry. The chicken curry tasted fine and they were happy to take out the onions as asked. The prawn crackers tasted fresh and crunch as expected. While I wouldn't eat a chow mein from here again I would try another dish if I'm in the area again before giving it a thumbs up or down. I would also be more cautious of the price quoted next time.

Always use Yeungs, good food and plenty of it. New menu introduced a while ago and it's even better than the old one. Excellent food and friendly staff.

Not impressed!! We're used to our Chinese takeaways having larger menus and tastier food. No sui mai or vermicilli noodles on the menu and the food we did buy was very bland. Tiny portions of rice with each meal and sweet and sour chicken sold as chicken dippers and separate sauce( no pineapple, peppers or onions) We ordered £140 worth of food and would not return I'm sorry to say.

While on holiday we thought we would try Yeungs as it was 3 min walk from where we were staying. Very pleasantly surprised as we have had some iffy Chinese meals on holiday. We had 4 items from the menu, each one very tasty and flavourful. Shame we had to go home the following day as we would certainly have gone back for more.

We have takeaway from here around once a month and it’s always good. I’m a bit obsessed with the salt and chilli prawns. It’s impeccably clean and soooo fast. Never ever had to wait for our takeaway and we’re only an 8 minute drive away.

Used this takeaway for the first time. Ordered by phone, arrived at the time that advised and the food was ready a couple of minutes later. The food was very good, we had several dishes and they were all very tasty. You can see the food being prepared with the kitchen being open plan to the waiting area

During or Easter getaway we discovered this little gem. We don’t usually have Chinese but this was the best we’d ever had. The young man and lady behind the counter were helpful and friendly. Our food was amazing and cooked to perfection would recommend to anyone popping into Seaton/Beer area. 3/4/18 :)

This place has an extensive menu and the food tasted reasonable so it's a good option for a takeaway.
