Enjoyable meal shredded chicken and curry sauce . First chinnede i have had and no crackers and no rice with the meal even tho it said I qualify for one.

Never had an issue with this restaurant before, but my order was over an hour late and when it arrived it was lukewarm, therefore I had to put in the microwave.

I was given two orders of spring rolls when I had asked for one of spring rolls and one of sesame prawn toast.

Food was hot and was actually better than we usually get

We ordered online with just eats as link after reading reviews were not disappointed. Food arrived within 50 mins prices average. All dishes piping hot and would highly recommended for anyone to do. We had the duck as a stater& crispy gravy noodles. Portions large too.

Excellent food and service. Have been several times now and always good. We have tofu or veg dishes which are very tasty. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. One lady we see a lot is very kind and friendly.

Awful - items cold - 45 minutes late - even after having to phone up and was told it was on its way at 18:20 pm it didn’t arrive until 7 - had to walk to the shops in the cold to feed the kids - not on. Not happy - will never be buying from here again!

Delivered within 40 mins. Every dish was piping hot and best spare ribs and chips ever had from a Chinese takeaway. Can also highly recommend the Singapore chow mein. Non greasy and full of flavour. Thank you xx

This review is actually for a takeaway from the establishment. Not had one for some time and decided to give them a try again. Certainly not disappointed. The choices we made were delicious, hot, well prepared and delivered to our home on time. The Thai Red curry was nicely spiced and my option, chicken, had plentiful chicken in it. My wife had the Chicken Chow mein and that was equally plentiful and tasty. Very happy to recommend this establishment.

Phoned twice was told it was out for delivery and it turned up an hour late. And it turns up cold at 9.10 was told they could make a new order and send it out!

Excellent quality and perfect preparation time. Desk service poor as had to wait for a long telephone order to be finished before I was served my packaged pre-ordered meal. Very pleasant staff. Solution is to have 2nd person to dispatch pre-ordered meals.

We visited China garden last night as a family we quite enjoyed the food it was a bit slow in arriving as a whole order it was coming to the table at separate times and food was going a little cold.but the real bug bear last night was that they charge 3.10 for a can of orange tango that's shocking price!!! 10 pounds for chicken fried rice plate wasn't very big I understand they have over heads but the pricing is a little high for how small and let's say dated restraint. Staff was quite friendly

My Wife and I visited and both had the set 3 course meal at £20 and a bottle of beer at £3.50. The meal was quite good as was the service but not the payment, my Wife went to pay the bill was asked for £47.50 as expected. She used her card for the payment and left a tip in cash and by pure luck asked for a receipt. On leaving the Restaurant she noticed she had been charged £54.60. We queried the bill only to be told we didn’t have to pay the service charge and we got a refund. What annoyed me was she asked for the lesser amount and never mentioned the service charge, sneeky.

Have ordered from China Garden numerous times. The food has always been delivered on time or early. This is the best Chinese food in Exmouth, in our opinion. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

10/10 Chinese. So hot, fresh and full of flavour!!!

Well, my normal ‘Chinese’ was closed on Tuesdays, so I thought I’d give this one a go. Ordered what I normally have, and bearing in mind it’s a Tuesday, and they are about 10 minutes away, arrived 30 minutes late! The food was quite nice but very expensive compared to my normal Exmouth Chinese, ie, a regular portion of fried noodles here, is the same as a large portion at my regular. I’d say my bill was about 25% more!! Unfortunately, I won’t be back!

Best Chinese food in Exmouth, or even Devon!! I've been a customer for 30 years, and have used it at least twice a month in that time. And it's consistently good. Never a bad meal. Thanks China Garden. I would like to suggest a locals loyalty card, though!

Now our favourite take away. We like to eat there as well and the food is consistent in-house and as a take away which is not always the case with all restaurants. A+

We used to come here 20 years ago when we lived in Exmouth, and it's not changed- still the BEST Chinese around! Delicious food and brilliant friendly staff.

I'm not sure how the worst Chinese restaurant in Exmouth became the only one left. My wife has a soft spot for George and his work ethic, sadly in recent months it feels like others are pulling the strings prices have increased but the quality of the ingredients and how It's cooked have taken a dive. After nearly 30 years of loyalty the greedy surcharge left a bitter taste in what was a poor over priced meal sadly It's unlikely we will return. It will be a shame if this restaurant closes like the others, but if you try to fleece your regulars you get what you deserve.

Came here while staying at the haven site , from the outside it doesn’t look much , which may put some people off going in , But rest assured the food was delicious, Never tasted a crispy duck like it , not greasy and it was already all shredded for us . We had the set meal and there was plenty of it , The waitress an English girl was lovely and seemed to be doing all the waiting on herself & taking orders , but it was quiet the mid week we went , It seems to be popular with the regulars as there was plenty of take aways going out , if your in exmouth give it a try you shouldn’t be dissapointed,

Turned up late and it was cold, needed to re warm up. This was the worse chinese I’ve had. Never using them again. Not happy at at all.

Went out family meal, got refused to be served as I had an assistant dog. They embarrassed me and my family saying they didn't want people like that eating there as it would scare off other customers. I rely on my dog for essential everyday needs, she is fully trained and extremely well behaved. I feel totally discriminated against.

Great timing, and lovely lady who delivered, but asked for cash by the delivery driver when they arrived (which I paid online already) and then realised after she had gone I had got red, not white, wine!!! I hope for a refund as I’ve effectively paid twice and also didn’t get what I had ordered.
