Wing Sing Chinese Takeaway, Exmouth in East Devon

Haven't tried much. I just have the basic. Special fried rice, pancake roll, chicken Ball's n sauce etc. but what I have was Nice. Been back several time's. 1 thing I will say. Sometimes the sauce on the house special rice. And the sauce that comes with the chicken balls. It's like a red/orange color. Which is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. But sometimes it's like a red/Brown color. Which is Gross in my opinion. Tried but just couldn't eat it. Obviously different cooks on shift when this happens. If not. The. The cooks had a drink or off his nut. I tried sussing out the day's they served the Brown crappy sauce. But didn't work. I think it's a bit random. So I now ask can I see your sauce/or ask the color of it before ordering. 👏✌️

A quality takeaway with a wide range of options and pleasant, professional staff, little waiting time and well packaged tasty food.

Great Chinese Ordered mild chicken curry, egg fried rice, chow mein, mushrooms in sauce. Came with small bag of prawn crackers. This was enough to feed 3 adults and a toddler. Would recommend 100%

Visited the wing sing while on holiday the food was amazing the lady that served me was the most lovely person Nothing was to much to ask her I can not recommend this chines more highly. Although preparation time was quite slow.

Absolute must, food is amazing, great value fir money, very good portion size. The House Special Fried Rice was full of meat & prawns ( don't eat seafood, but hubby loved them) Food ordered over the phone and was ready at the exact stated time. Very personable friendly lady answered the phone and served me.... excellent customer service. Was staying at Devon Cliffs and worth the 3 minute drive.

Stayed at Devon cliffs and had the best Chinese we have ever had, food was hot tasted beautiful and portion sizes were huge , best by far!

Don’t bother, food was very cold, order was wrong twice and the staff were rude. Also found a pubic hair in the bbq sauce the owner was also abrupt. Third bad experience on the trot

Very lovely food here, highly recommend. Black bean pepper and oyster sauce is lovely also sweet and sour pork cantonese style is also highly recommended. Lady servering was really helpful and welcoming. Our new regular Chinese for sure!!:)

First time to going to this Chinese chicken balls ok egg fried rice and chips again ok but the pork chow mein was so over cooked it had a burnt taste was horrid sorry but nowhere yet comes close to the new blue dragon Shame its closed on a Tuesday!

We recently stayed at Devon cliffs holiday park and on our last night decided to have a Chinese takeaway from Wing Sing. We all agreed that it was the best meal of the holiday!!! Although it may appear a bit pricey at first, when you see the portion size, you realise what good value for money it is. We had house special rice,battered kung po chicken and barbecued spare ribs in barbecue sauce. The house special rice was a world beater and a meal in itself. Large slices of roast pork and chicken on top, with loads of smaller pieces throughout, plenty of prawns and peas too, all topped off with barbecue sauce. Service was quick and the Guy serving was polite and efficient. We would definitely recommend and will be using again in the future. 10/10.

Easy friendly ordering over the telephone. Ready to collect in 20 minutes. Food was freshly cooked with an abundance of flavour. The portion size was good as the chicken fried rice served 3 of us. Would recommend especially if you are staying at Sandy Bay nearby.

We had a takeaway from here tonight and it wasn’t as nice as it normally is. Chicken balls and chips were all over cooked. Only good thing was the egg fried rice and prawn crackers. We always get our Chinese from here and have never had a bad meal before but tonight’s wasn’t nice at all I’m afraid

Lovely takeaway and good portions. I had a sticky chilli beef and a portion of Singapore chow mein (yeah, I like spicy!) and both were plentiful in quantity and flavour. Highly recommended. NB. cash only from memory.

Worst Chinese I ever had , visited whist staying at Devon cliffs holiday park, visited wing sing a few years ago and was nice so thought I would treat family to takeaway whilst holidaying , collected takeaway and went back to caravan and as soon as I opened containers I knew I’d made a big mistake going there, boiled rice fell out container in a solid block and I couldn’t even break it up with a fork , chicken curry was like a dark brown jelly and nothing like a Chinese curry , Chinese chips are supposed to be crispy these were not and were dry like they’d been left standing for a good while , will definitely not be returning and wouldn’t recommend .

It was my birthday so we had a celebration takeaway. Ordered by phone and ready in 15 mins. Good service and nice people run the place. Food was very good, and the number of prawn balls defeated me, enough left for a meal the next day.

Our first visit to wing sing and we were not disappointed the service was great and the food was lovely very tasty we were on holiday staying at Devon cliffs so very local visited twice during our stay certainly be going back next year

We’re staying at the caravan park and was told to try a Chinese from here. We have just had chicken curry and prawn rice with salt and pepper king prawns it was very very nice. Thank you. I would recommend this Chinese.

Best Chinese I've had in a while. Good value for money

While staying at Devon Cliffs tried food here... Sad to say worst ever. Sweet and Sour chicken sauce had no taste the chicken seemed grizzly and tough Chicken fried rice the rice was mushy and hardly looked like rice and chicken was soggy Chips bit chewy not crispy.. Think I managed to bare eating about ⅓ and couldn't force myself to eat anymore

Exactly what you want from a Chinese takeaway. Ordering was easy and efficient, we were given a time to collect and everything was ready when they said. Food was very tasty and well priced.

Whilst holidaying at Haven's Devon Cliffs we found that booking a table for an evening meal impossible for the time we wanted to eat. We decided to go off site and look local. That's when we found WING SING. The young lady on the desk was most helpful in taking my order and 15 minutes later we were on our way back to the caravan to enjoy it. Wow, the food was delicious and way better that our takeaway back home. Very tasty food. If your staying at Devon Cliffs check this place out. Much cheaper that eating on the park too. It's a 10 from me

It was our last night staying at the caravan park neat to this Chinese, so decided to get a takeaway. Rang order through went down and collected, seems a very popular place as was very busy. Had a good assortment and the food was lovely and still hot by the time we got back to caravan. Would definitely go again for a take away and would recommend if you like Chinese.

This is our local Chinese and every takeaway we have had has been delicious and great value! They are friendly and efficient, the food is always hot and exactly what we ordered (unlike other places!) Would definitely recommend!

While enjoying a holiday in Exmouth we randomly visited this Chinese takeaway and we were all blown away. Best Chinese food ever! So sad that this is not our local Chinese takeaway as would be a regular here. Will just have to wait until we are holidaying this way again. Every dish we had was amazing.

My favourite take away in Exmouth. Food tastes great and service is always friendly with a smile. I can order in the phone and collect in person. They accept card payments now which is very helpful when I don't have cash. I would highly recommend eating here.

Ordered a 3 persons meal last night for husbands 50th birthday and wow the food was totally amazing the king prawn curry was so delicious and the ribs were the best I’ve ever had have to say we have been getting our Chinese from there for years but the last few meals we had we weren’t happy with so started trying other places but thought since it was under new owners we would give it ago again and boy it didn’t disappoint us and there’s so much food we’ve had 6 meals out of it and there’s still enough for another 2. We will definitely be getting our Chinese from there again well done wing sing

Spot on, the food was great, we stayed at the devon cliff holiday park so it was only a 5 minute drive, food was quick, would phone ahead at peak times to save waiting though as seems quite popular, definitely recommend

Since changing ownership a while back I have ordered 2 meals from here, the first of which I had to take back as the chicken had gone off not happy, although I had a full refund for what I purchased. This time I had ordered a curry and a portion of chowmein, the chowmein was tasteless and the curry was more like a thick gravy than a curry sauce, will not be returning and won't be recommending Wingsing to anyone.

We where stopping at sandy bay Devon cliff's and fancied a Chinese and saw this Chinese a few times so decided to try it and it was lovely lots of meat and the portions was very big will be going there again thank you wing sing

Been here twice now and both times the food has been outstanding. Lovely duck and plain chop suey. The chips are delicious. Very polite cashier and food very hot and fresh. Thankyou. This is the best in Exmouth and I have tried them all over the years.

I’ve never been one for Asian cuisine but the wife and I decided to visit wing sing for our first date night in nearly 6 years and we were not disappointed, first impressions were it was very clean and tidy, we were welcomed with a smile , with my wife being a vegetarian we wanted a meal that wasn’t actually on the menu but there was no problem there at all and the meal was made for her, I had the crispy beef and my word it tasted amazing, so sweet and so crispy (obviously) and the plain chow Mein, for a plain side it was incredibly flavoursome , portions are huge and very much worth the money. We will definitely be going back again.

Menu change and not for the best! Been coming here for as long as I can remember. They recently changed the ownership of the takeaway and I went for a takeaway here a few weeks ago, my first impressions of the new food was not great, however tried again tonight and honestly the one of the worst Chinese Iv ever had. I had the crispy shredded beef and it literally tasted like a jar of honey, very sweet and nothing like a crispy shredded beef. Didn’t even eat it all! My partner had the duck rice and it just tasted like mush. The only only reason for not a lower review was the saving grace was the vegetable noodles and salt & pepper chicken. I would never normally write such a review, but i was very disappointed. Bring back the old chefs or increase the training. Sorry guys but don’t ruin the reputation they had.

I’ve been coming here ever since the takeaway first opened & yes! a change of ownership was a surprise, but it’s definitely a change for the best & I’m looking forward to my next visit... for me, it’s all about the Crispy Chilli Beef & chips! & the Crispy Chilli Beef is to die for! Thankfully it’s the same great tasting chips and everything else was great too. The curry sauce is different, but we all agreed it was great too & nothing went to waste, including the prawn crackers, which we nibbles away at over the next couple of days ;) still our go to Chinese Takeaway in Exmouth! Have been having takeaways from the wing sing for over 15 years. Was the go to chinese and used to look forward to it. Was concerned when informed of an ownership change and that concern was right. Gave it a try and it’s nothing like before. It’s not just bad because it’s different. It’s just an average to poor chinese now which you can get anywhere. Gutted!!

When I last visited this takeaway late last year the cashier informed me of the forthcoming change in management, asked whether they would wish to remain in their job the person hesitated and said it wasn’t likely, I can see now why. Sadly I must concur with recent reviews and confirm the change of ownership has had a detrimental effect on the quality and taste of the food. My dish was underwhelming, very little taste and lacked the clean, freshness that we had become used to after many years experience of this takeaway. Why does a new owner meddle with a successful formula, I can only conclude to increase profit margins, this is will be a short-lived cash cow. Such a shame but I can no longer recommend a visit to this place.

Really disappointed now that old owners have left. Used to be the best Chinese in Exmouth by far. Food is very average now, and have not used any of the old recipes. Shame

Have been going to Wing Sing for many years but had first takeaway since previous owners retired and now new ownership and was very disappointed with meal. Stodgy fried rice that looked pale and undercooked. Not nice. Nothing like it used to be. Won't be going there again.

Unfortunately the owners retired so recently been taken over by new owners, I had my first meal there tonight and disappointing really just not very nice , I mean it was ok not gross but I will try somewhere else from now I think.

I have never had a Chinese takeaway that was so tasteless, l have never had lemon chicken that tasted of nothing, not even lemon ? The beef in black bean again tasted of nothing , Kung pea prawns were gelatinous and had no taste either. I would not waste my money getting anything from here, really disappointed.
