We visited Yeti twice whilst holidaying in Kent, the Nepalese dishes were delicious. We had the pork Momos from the specials board, the best I've ever tasted, the mutton curry with mixed vegetable rice was divine. The lovely staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We look forward to visiting again.

Decent low cost resturant in Maidstone Town Centre. Delicious food with a good choice of Asian fusion cuisine think a mix of Chinese and Indian. Starters in the £4-5 range and mains £7-9 so great value, good choice and great taste all freshly prepared great attentive service and good clean resturant easy to park outside at night.

Be prepared to be humbled, excited and fulfilled with superb Nepalese dishes. You could easily dismiss Yeti Restaurant as a takeaway just off the high street. I’m sure it gets most of its business through takeaway orders. It is indeed a restaurant, the upstairs area is testament to it. The walls are decorated in Nepalese paraphernalia; a knife, fork, napkin and flower decorate the cafe style tables. The interior may lack an abundance of light, but this more than made up for by the jovial personalities of the staff. The owner is a beautiful character, a laugh and a smile that is unforgettable. The menu has some of the best examples of Traditional Nepalese food that I have experienced. You have to try their Nepali Dhido thali, the buckwheat-esque porridge and complimentary small dishes are delicious.

Me and my friends went to this restaurant, some had been before. I had Steamed Chicken Momos and Chicken Chowmein. The portions of food were bigger than expected! There were 10 Momos on a plate and a large portion of Chowmein! Not to mention the reasonable prices- £5.00 for 10 Momos and £5.70 for the Chowmein. I can’t wait to come back.

1st visit with friends to the Yeti. Service was on the slow side, even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Apart from myself and two friends, the remaining clientele were of Nepalese stock. It would appear that they were getting preferential treatment on service. The waiting staff were very courteous and welcoming. Now to the food. The Sea Bass I had was excellent and the Mango Pancake was to die for. Portions of the servings were generous. But for the slow service, it would have been a 5* rating. Date of visit was 18th November 2018.

Having visited 2 weeks ago and had a fabulous meal here, decided to give it another go to see if was a one off. We were not disappointed. Beautifully presented tasty food freshly made. No thick salty sauces or stodgy fillers. Large portions but without feeling bloated! Just what we like. One of our new favorite places to eat now! Service great and not intrusive. A must try!!

Went here yesterday and it was busy and most of the clientele were Nepalese which to us was a good start. Between us 4 we had the momo pork belly chicken li ers for starters. What can I say.. All were delightful and the momo was well portioned. One dish plenty for 2. Our mains were so tasty I am still on a high. Husband and daughter had the Thali which looked well presented. Son in law had the chicken noodles and i had the seabass. The sauce with the seabass was just wow. And the fish cooked just right. . Rice portion was generous as well. We will definitely be going here again and a restaurant full of Nepalese can't be wrong. Extremely impressed. Service was wonderful and very friendly. They even bought us a fan as it was warm. Very cosy place and intimate . Courteous and attentive without being over bearing. Just try it.. You'll love it

If you want to try the real flavours of Nepalese food, don't come here. We ordered momo, chow mein and sukiti, all were flavourless. The chow mein was drenched in oil. The only redeeming dish was the curry we ordered, otherwise very boring and bland.

Visited the establishment with friends last Thursday. As it was christmas time the restaurant was empty giving us bit of privacy as we were group of 6. First impressions were of smiling and warm staff and we went to our table which was upstairs. A very small dining space but had a very nice homely feel filled with paintings of nepal. Food menu had variety of choices to pick from. The service was good and the food was good in terms of presentation and taste. Some dishes lacked the authentic taste but overall a good experience. Will definitely be back again for more experience.

Mixed emotions on leaving Yeti, we had heard it was best to stay with Nepalese food and it was good, what we DIDN'T know was that the waiter was serving up doubles every time a G&T was ordered - that inflated the bill by close to 20%. Also £8 for a double G&T is a bit steep in back street Maidstone. The place needs tidying up there is too much clutter everywhere with cleaning materials on show, silly messages hand written and a general sense of neglect. Yeti has the potential to be VERY good - the food was excellent as was the service - it was just leaving feeling you had been shafted that hurt........so order carefully and enjoy !!!

We were looking forward to our meal, after reading the reviews on this site. Sad to say, didn't live up to expectations.Green Thai curry, was insipid, no lemongrass, ginger or usual seasonings that are integral to an authentic Thai curry, the coconut rice was pleasant enough, also ordered a Pad Thai, dry and unlike any I have sampled world-wide. Tempura prawns, OK, crab starter, lacked flavour. May be, the most accomplished chefs were off, as it was a Monday evening.

I was late night shopping for some early Christmas presents, much later than expected, when on route home weary & hungry I decided to treat ourselves to a - very rare - take out. I stumbled - stroke of serendipity - into YETI. The restaurant was empty. I spoke first to the young lady waiting behind the serving bar, discovering our common ground for travel, great food & flavours I happily looked at the menu. There was listed, soo much food I have never tried before - so many flavours I'd love to try! I kept it simple, being it was the first time & ordered a mixture of tasty dishes that I recognised. The food was fresh & freshly cooked to order - actually just a little tip - do always allow for this cooking time, or better still (next time) telephone your order in advance. I actually didn't mind the wait, it meant it was all freshly cooked - home from home cooking - which is why we don't have very many take outs because we simply prefer home cooked, freshly prepared good quality food.So hungry, I nibbled at the gorgeous prawn crackers on route home, (they were hot & delicious - much to my surprise - I've only ever had them a couple of times & didn't really liked them but hubby does)Dearest other half had the plates warming & he was absolutely famished too & started to grumble, saying he couldn't understand why it took me sooooo long to get a take out!! I said, but its not just any take out - I'm certain its one which is worth the wait, Dishing up & explaining I'd discovered a little Nepalise restaurant & as they also do 'Take Out' I thought we'd give it a go. So that why its taken longer than usual, because it was all freshly cooked. We both commented how lovely the food looked & smelt delicious. After savouring & sampling all of the different flavours on our plates we were more than surprised & delighted to enjoy such beautiful flavours, textures & absolutely great quality food. Wow, the noodles were absolutely gorgeous my favourite!! - I want to be able to make them like that!! The spring rolls were the best we've ever tasted, the tempura prawns were perfect & sooo tasty too. The buffalo was very tasty, the texture seemed a little dry to begin with but I actually think it was supposed to be, the chicken Thai curry was most pleasing to our taste & the sticky rice perfectly flavoursome, light & wonderful. The only thing I could comment on - nit picking only - was some of it was a little too salty for my taste buds, but that often happens as I rarely salt any food (except chips ha ha :) We would definitely grab a take out from here again & we do hope to come to actually eat in the restaurant. Maybe next year, when the weather warms up a bit & town isn't so full of mad Christmas shoppers. If I can't wait that long for my haunting fix needing Nepalese flavours we'll be in soon ha ha :) Thank you YETI, so thrilled we've discovered you & your delicious food & wonderful polite staff. We will see you again!!

As we went through the door I felt confident that I was going to enjoy my meal and I wasn't disappointed. Our (and all the other diners) waitress, Chan, was a gem. I had read previous reports and realised the mo-mo were a must and I ordered the pork version but to start I had calamari and chilli dip which was tasty, delicate and coated in a light batter. The dumplings were also lightly covered and not the heavy old western style. There was chilli and capsicum with the spicy tomato sauce. I would certainly order this again but to ring the changes perhaps with a different fillingAlthough not on the menu, Chan was happy to bring us salted lassies (yoghurt drink)Lady Golding had a lovely starter of baby pooris, potato curry, yoghurt relish, fried soy beans and a delicious, what I can only describe as a cold gravy/sauce. Her main was a dish of fried noodles and vegetables. With a bill of just £27 before tip everything was very good. Climb the hill and visit the Yeti.

Chan our lovely waitress who seemed to be doing all the waiting was just great. You have to be a little patient as food is so obviously freshly prepared but so worth it. They do havea licence but We had two salty lassi to drink Hubby had squid to start with chilli sauce fab and I had the puri and potato dish fab. Main dish I had veg noodles and partner had pork mo mo dumplings really good food reasonable prices lovely service. Result two very satisfied customers would most def return here. Bill was £27.00

Love this little place. Yes the service is a little lacking and its small, but the interesting and delicious food makes up for everything. The owner /head chef is hilarious and very friendly and welcoming. They seem to only cater for the local nepalese population. Its a shame because when they tone down the chilli in the food its truly excellent. I would recommend the Nepaleese Momo's which are a dumpling filled with minced pork or chicken, and the nepalese style noodles. Goto this restaurant if you want to try something truly special. Go with an open mind and you will enjoy
