Amazing staff, really friendly. delicious food, as i can say, one of the best food i had in england. Fresh, aromatic, neatly served. Cosy atmosphere.

Nice pub, offers sport or a quiet place to meet and when I've eaten there food has always been good

We went here for a birthday Sunday lunch but left very disappointed. Positives: the young man who served us was very helpful and accommodating of my dietary requirements. The food came as ordered and tasted good. Negatives: while trying to make my order another member of bar staff, maybe the manager was unterfering with the order and confused the whole process. One minute I could have the lambe shank the next I couldnt but he then decided I could. I didn't think his manner was very polite. The lamb shank I ordered came out cold and there were just two bits of broccoli for veg and a not much meat in the cold lamb shank. I ate the food as I didn't want to spend my time complaining. It wasn't until the end of the meal that we were asked how our food was and was offered the opportunity to talk to the manager but declined which was our choice. I did eat the lamb as I was hungry! As a result of this experience we decided to go elsewhere for dessert. Probably won't eat there again. Thank you to the young man who served us though who was very polite and helpful.

We had a family get together at the Yeoman for my daughters birthday & reserved the function area. Buffet food was amazing and the bar staff were very welcoming. Shout out to the manager on site who was more than accommodating and also made sure we were happy with everything. Pub was thriving and busy, family members very impressed too with the food and service. Thank you 😊

Lovely pub, friendly staff. Only criticism on my food was that the brocoli was really undercooked. Other than that, everything was fine.

Went here for dinner on New Year's Day and was delighted to find a vegan burger which was excellent and a steak and ale pie, which everyone loved!! Thank you for your excellent service.

We had a family day out, 4 adults and 2 children. The pub was quiet but I put that down to bad snowy weather not the venue. We had 3 Sunday roasts consisting of 2 lamb shanks which were beautiful and plates full with extra gravy that were demolished with vigour but the beef sirloin was a bit under par. I had an 8oz gammon and the fried egg was cooked properly which I find most chefs struggle with cooking a fried egg properly so kudos to the chef (bravo) My granddaughter had the hunters chicken that was eaten so fast we thought she’d dropped it on the floor. My grandson had a burger because he’s a picky eater. We decided to have a dessert of apple crumble and custard which was delicious. On the whole we had a great meal and we will definitely be eating there again. If you’re in the Wooton area of Northampton, call in to the Yeoman of England, you won’t be disappointed

Lovely new year eve spent at The Yeomen food was fantastic the entertainment was brilliant seeing in the new year surrounded by locals and friends we knew was amazing Anwen Aled Rob and the team did brilliantly. Highly recommend.

Service was superb but a lamb shank with ~10 grams of lamb for £16 is deplorable. Could have eaten it with a teaspoon…

It was simply amazing from start to finish. The staff and food were exceptional and we had the best Christmas we’ve had in a very long time. It really was so good. We are very grateful to all of the staff for everything.

This is the local for my daughter who visits the pub regularly. We collectively dropped in today (Xmas day) for a celebratory drink. It was very busy with diners and drinkers alike. We were directed to an area for a drink, where we were then rudely asked by a young lady member of staff to move. Also whilst waiting to assist my son in law with the drinks from the bar, I was talking with an old friend when again we were rudely shouted at and asked to move from our standing position. I fully understand the reasons for being asked to move (busy) but the manner in which it was conducted is unacceptable. A polite excuse me, and could you please, is the manner in which I would expect my children to address people, not move from their now! Thumbs definitely down

I’ve had a fantastic time at the Christmas wreath making workshop at the Yeoman. We’ve enjoyed delicious Christmas cocktails and lots of giggles!

We were there for a baby shower, as we were early. We decided to have lunch. Very nice food. And the food supplied for the baby shower was very good. Would eat there again 😋 😏

Really enjoyed our visit. Staff were excellent, we arrived late because of traffic but they went out of their way to sort put a table for us. Highly recommended.

We visited the yeoman of England for the first time yesterday! We were very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. With 7 of us all eating a set 3 course meal for under £120 it was worth every penny. I did think the food would be nice but it was sensational. We arrived to a reserved Christmas decorated table and on first impressions we were all very excited for the meal. We have decided it’ll be a nice family tradition to do every year. The Christmas dinner was cooked to perfection and all the staff were lovely. We were served by liv who was efficient , helpful and polite. We then had a good chat with the owner / cook anwin who took time out of her busy day to cheek everything was ok. She came across very friendly and cares a lot about her business. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend to anyone . You will not be disappointed. X

Lovely environment, friendly atmosphere, dog allowed which makes a big change and Sunday Roast as good as home cooked but still the food was lovely

We love visiting this pub for a Friday evening meal. As per usual . The staff were friendly and welcoming Good quality food and a great drinks menu to select from.

You can book a table but don't think that means you'll be fed. Booked for 17:45 on a Sunday and were given the "Easy Sunday" menu. Tried to order the roast (it was a Sunday after all) but was told they stopped serving roasts at 5.00. Then was told they had run out of roasts. Sadly they had also run out of the next 3 choices too. Overpriced burger or nothing, so we left. Staff couldn't care less.

Booked a table for 17:45 on a Sunday. Tried to order the Sunday roast to be told initially they stopped serving roasts at 5.00. When I said the menu didn't say that anywhere, nor does the website, the story changed to "we have run out of roasts" despite not actually asking which roast I wanted to order. So no beef, lamb, turkey or vegan roasts it seems. Worse was to come. The next three choices were unavailable, giving the impression they simply didn't want to serve us. They then seemed surprised we decided to cancel the reservation and eat elsewhere. What did they expect us to do when they offered no food?

We came to the Yeoman after the funeral of a family member. Anwen looked after us really well and guided us when choosing a suitable buffet for everyone, including those on a gluten free diet. The buffet was just what we wanted, thank you to all those involved.

Family meal covering 4 generations. All catered for. All had a good time and enjoyed the food. Staff were really nice. Food was very food.

Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, we had a party of 10. All food came out together and was nice and hot. Staff were very friendly.

Such a lovely place. We got there early enough to beat the crowd. The food was wonderful and the ambiance was really nice. It was obvious the management takes great pride in presentation and making everyone feel welcome. Highly recommend if you visit Northampton area.

Female manager was aggressive and rude. I was belittled and mocked, to the point other customers turned to look. Her customer service was quite frankly appalling, something i have never experienced and wouldn’t wish on anyone. Very disappointed. Will not be returning.

Very nice setting and good choice on the menu.

Unfortunately, our Sunday roast tasted like something out of a pre packed defrosted frozen dinner. Turkey was inedible and sponge like, tasted like it was meat that had been bulked up by sitting in water. Pies, however were tasty. Nice service and atmosphere, showing lots of sports with a roomy garden down the back.

Lindsey and the other staff were super friendly. Went with friends and all felt really happy with the service!

Stopped by to meet a longtime friend and had a very good Sunday Pub lunch. Food, and service was excellent. Will come should we be in the area.

I came in with my grandkids, had a lovely time. Kids menu was fantastic, food was also phenomenal. Lady behind the bar found crayons for them which was a total blessing. Think her name was an. Thank you very much, will definitely come again.

Well kept, great atmosphere, excellent for gatherings. Quiz night also a blast. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I have just witnessed a young lad of no more than 15/16 been thrown out of the pub because he had a small bottle of tango he’d brought in. He was visibly upset and got angry at the landlady as she was continually shouting at the poor lad, he was clearly embarrassed. I can’t believe what I witnessed I do hope the lad is ok. She shouted you can’t drink that here to which he replied I was just coming in to watch the football with my mates she continued shouting how awful!! Then chucked his friends out for being friends with him too. So bad, it’s really put me off going back to be honest i think it’s bad she can shout at children like that. I tried to find the lads but couldn’t see which way they went. Don’t go to the yeoman if you’re a child it’s not very child friendly.

First visit and was pleaselty surprised how good the food was, and plenty of it. Friendly helpful staff, nice spacious pub with a large carpark. And gardens. Will return soon

This place had excellent food and great service, good speed and a very good experience for our dinner. However there was a person in a pink shirt who while watching the football called an ethnic player a black c*nt. I was with young children and this is disgraceful and we left shortly after. I will make sure to check he is not here before returning. Apart from this it was a great time and the staff and other people in the pub are amazing.

Came in for the Thursday steak deal & wow it was tender, delicious and cooked to perfection! Even had to ask who cooked it - Thank you to Hayley!

Had a few pints and a burger on Wednesday, lovely place to watch sport and catch up with family. Decent food and drinks too! Bar staff always very friendly.

Lack of real ale was a disappointment, something that seems to be getting common in green king pubs.

A welcoming village pub whose staff make you feel as you have been there for years even after a couple of visits. Welcoming and professional staff with lovely comfort food to enjoy when you just want to take a break with friends and family. Plenty of parking spaces and best to book as sometimes can get busy when sports or quiz takes place.

First visit to celebrate a family birthday. Easy to book a table online. Staff accommodated change of time on the day due to travel delays. Good range of food on the menu. A pre-order for a large group meant a 40 minute delay which was challenging with a toddler in our group. We made use of the garden to help with this delay. Food was fine. Service and atmosphere was friendly. Large car park. Toilets not so good for changing the toddler.

First visit with family for dinner, good choice of food and drinks, good atmosphere. Staff friendly and welcoming, only small fault was the toilets could do with some attention. Enjoyed our visit and would visit again and recommend the pub.

I’m a regular at the yeoman of England and you honestly can’t complain about anything, great garden for the summer, nice smoking area, funny staff who you can have a chat with and a lovely owner, gonna stay my regular for a bit now

Food was alright, staff were very attentive and you didn't have to wait long for food. I had the macaroni cheese and it was ok, it was hot when it came out. Next time I would get the lasagne instead though.

This is my local pub and it’s one of the best pubs I’ve been to! Lovely food and drinks, staff are friendly and accommodating and the prices are top tier! I came here with some friends on New Year’s Eve and it was a blast! There is live music pretty much every week and it just has a very homely feel to it! 🩶🩶

Food was poor quality. In fact, the roast potatoes were inedible. Service was slow. Won't bother going back.

I had an excellent 3 course Christmas fayre with work colleagues at the Yeoman of england yesterday. Everyone enjoyed their food, I especially enjoyed the festive burger with Brie and bacon! I look forward to my next outing at the Yeoman as I have a Christmas fayre meal booked with my best friends at the beginning of December.

Very expensive over £5.oo a pint. That was for a pint of fosters.

£6:35 for a pint of Peroni which is absolutely eye watering. I questioned myself, am I in a city or a quiet Northamptonshire village??

By far one of the best pubs for sports, dinner and a great family atmosphere. Food is superb, a great menu selection and if you drink lager or cider the choice is very good. Not much for the bitter drinker sadly. Staff are extremely attentive and friendly and the chef runs his kitchen well. 9.5/10 for our Saturday night there.

Great food excellent beer great prices.

Great venue nice food but a bit tight with the chips £3.29 only had about 10 chips and 50p extra for a tiny bit of cheese that’s nearly £4 fo a very small portion of chips . I don’t know any where chips are more expensive.

Found this lovely place while out with my son , we decided to have a meal very reasonable prices , the food was very good and served quite quickly , the staff were so friendly aswell , will definitely be returning , with my son while he is visiting , and very likely be back myself thank you

We had a lovely time at the Yeoman of england on Tuesday night. I arranged for me and my work friends to come and play the quiz together. We all had dinner beforehand which was excellent. I had the sirloin and chips which was cooked to perfection! We all tried the woo woo cider as recommended by our new favourite barman Robert and all agreed it’s our new favourite cider! From start to finish we had a excellent night even if we didn’t do very well at the quiz!

We had a lovely family gathering to celebrate my Mother in laws 80th birthday. The Yeoman provided with a lovely seating area and produced a delicious buffet spread. All the staff were friendly and fantastic especially Hayley who made sure that everything was just right and made us feel very welcome.

Didn't have most of the menu, coke was watery. Nachos had hardly any cheese.
