The Collingtree Pub in Northampton

Only person to book a table, but they put us in a dark corner-so we moved to a window seat which was much more pleasant. Surf and turf steak a bit chewy, but everyting else fine.ordered a Brownie desert, which after 20 mins hadnt arrived. Ask young lady and she said she forgot! Seem to be missing smarties fudge etc.? Good value for money and nice to have a different meal to the usual-will come again.

Extremely disappointing experience. Despite not being busy our food took 50 minutes to arrive. My menu choice stated Skin On Fries. When it arrived it was just normal fries to which the server advised they were the only fries they had. My meal the classic mixed grill arrived very dried up on a small skillet. Onions were burnt and welded to the skillet, the additional egg I ordered was solid, the half chicken fillet was not even a quarter of a fillet and dry as a bone. One of the other meals was dried out also.

Went last night with friends. The place looks fantastic, staff friendly and helpful. The mixed grill was excellent value for money and cooked perfectly. Ska evening too which was excellent, atmosphere was brilliant. Can't recommend enough and I can't wait to go back asap. Thankyou to all.

Excellent lunch today and such a wonderful, friendly, efficient team. We were really looked after by Jess, Lily, Josh & Michael. The pub was clean, tidy and very well presented.

We came in on a Friday evening at 1815 hopefully to eat. It was incredibly busy but Hayley found us a table which was really appreciated. The food arrived in only a short time and was absolutely lovely! Many thanks to Haley for her kind and attentive service which is something lacking in many other establishments.

Lily was very helpful and a credit to the pub. Food did take a while to arrive but was informed. However we had only taken 2 bites of our starter and was informed our main course was ready for us. Timings for food need a bit of work.

The staff were extremely friendly, especially Lily who always put a smile on my face with her upbeat manner, humour and all round demeanour.

Caitlin and Jess served us at the bar. And josh and Luke were our chefs today. The food was cooked very well and was very good value for money. And the drinks and service we received during our visit was 10/10. Will definitely visit again.

What a surprise this establishment was. A delightful choice of menu and a cheerful and happy staff.

Very good food, personally I would have moved the TV's to the back after the refurbishment due to the back it like walking into someone's living room when entering, especially when football is on. Massive opportunity missed there. Overall great value for money though.

Decided to try this newly refurbished pub/restaurant for myself, ONE member of staff trying to do everything!!!! She did very well though additional staff were needed. My plan was to bring a lunch group here, menu was good but not exceptional.

Came in for a quick pint. Lovely service and atmosphere. Really good overall vibe. Staff were lovely as always!

Enjoyed our meal and good service until we were rushed off our table quite rudely (not by our original waitress) as they had a reservation that we weren't advised about when we sat down. Bill was wrong but corrected easily. Evening cut short and stopped to get desert on the way home.

Had a fantastic 2 course lunch on wednesday. Hayley, our server went through the menu with me and was very helpful to us. Our starters of Doritos™ tortillas, smothered with jalapeños, nacho cheese sauce and salsa was really very tasty and almost a meal in itself. The Mains -I had the 8oz# sirloin steak topped with garlic prawns-Delicious! big plate. Partner had SIZZLING GRILLED CHICKEN which was also great. Bottle of house wine for £11.49, a great low price and tasty. Hats off to Josh the Chef for such a georgeos and well executed meal. I like the Collingtree as it serves something different than boring other Pubs. Well done all !

The service was very good. Breakfast was lovely but could do with the plates being hot as the breakfast got cold alittle to quick for us. Quality of breakfast was very good .

Will be my new go to when I home in UK was pleased with the food as well the staff. I will return while on my visit biannual visits. A little on the dated side with furniture repairs needed but that all made it feel a little home like and warm. A little update as of November 5th 2023 I was back staff as usually top notch and renovations had started looking forward to seeing results. Looking for the furniture update we'll see 👀. Keep it up Collintree enjoy stopping in.

At the time I visited with some friends I believe there was some refurbishment going on in the kitchen and some menu items were not available. Despite that we were still able to order some great food and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Table service great. Can order on app from table, which is great. Food to die for. I recommend the sizzling chicken on a bed of sizzling veg, and the moreish banoffee cheesecake (delightfully not oversweet). My daughter had the surf and turf, with banoffee cheesecake, which she said was fab. A great meal and my daughter concurred.

Food sadly has really gone down hill and took at least 40 min to come hence one Star for service, staff are lovely though, such a shame we used to really enjoy going here 😔

The food here was a welcome surprise. Steaks were cooked perfectly, food was really tasty. We all enjoyed our meals! Unfortunately, the staff were too busy chatting with each other so we had to wait some time. So, we left without puddings.😥 Food was top notch-service was not good enough. Eggs were runny on the gammon...happy days.

It was very busy and needed more staff I believe, a lot of glasses were dotted around and needed to be collected. It got a bit rowdy and I would come again but not on a Friday. Staff very good. Food great. Prices great.

Nice ambience and friendly staff, which unfortunately was let down by the food. I ordered the rib and steak combo ,a medium with side salad. The steak was over cooked and I asked for some sauce, it came ice cold and when I asked our server to heat it up ,he wasn't sure he could. I told him to microwave the sauce since I can't put cold sauce on hot steak. The ribs were tasty and fell off the bone and the salad was drizzled in oil but they didn't have any dressing or balsamic vinegar. Needless to say I won't be eating here again

The steak was so tough you couldn't cut it let alone chew it. Management did apologize and threw in a pudding for free, but it did spoil the enjoyment of the evening

Excellent. "Normal". Not pretentious and staff lovely. Wasn't made to feel like an outsider by living more than a mile away and enjoying a glass or 3 of wine with evening meal. Didn't have to remortgage the house to have glass of wine which makes a change. Wife extremely pleased with Eaton Mess. Which means I won't get an earful later which also makes me happy. Google just asked me to update this review. Nope, still love this pub. Staff fab. Look, if you want Caviar and some drink with a name no-one can pronounce you may need to have a rethink. But for some grub and a few jars this is ace. Clean, not too crowded but busy with a good atmosphere. And WiFi that works. And no-one has judged us for playing Scrabble..... despite not being over (or anywhere near!!!!) 60 years old!!!!! (FYI just had a meal with my mum there..... who is substantially over 60 years old....and she liked it too)

We were served by Megs who was very friendly and helpful. Our food, which was cooked by Josh and Michael, was lovely. The setting leaves a little to be desired, but that was more than made up by the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food.

Booked for 1230 for Fathers Day, starters were fantastic and tasty. Mains were also fantastic so thumbs up for Chefs Michael and Hayley. Our server Megane was fantastic and Dad loved his slightly larger than a kids portion strawberry sundae! So many thanks to Megane for that as well. All in all lovely meal and fantastic service.
