Raj was such a lovely delivery driver think he took my order over the phone aswell very polite young lad and very enthusiastic towards his job.

lovely food loads of chips and the staff are very polite and friendly. There is a good verity of foods, and the fish is cooked as you wait. Double cheeseburger was a good choice and the burger was cooked to my liking

Chips good but fish very disappointing Thick soft batter as if the fish was wrapped in a pancake

The pizza's are awesome. Really good value as well, with plenty of toppings. There's everything you could want from a chippy on offer. Really nice family too. Definitely give it a go.

Saw shop was hungry and fancied some chips , friendly fast service , nice chips served in a practical container, good size portion at the lowest price in Northampton, I shall be back to try the fish and chicken

I got chips and curry chips and gravy 2 bread rolls the bread rolls were stale hard and fell about the chips you could not eat think they was the chips from the night before I had to put both in the bin the worst chippy I have ever been to definitely not spending or eating from there again nice polite staff but poor quality food

Went on consecutive days. The staff were very friendly and nice to chat with. The food was tasty as well. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area. Reasonable prices as well.

Unbelievable portions of chips but the one size fish wasn't tasty. It didn't seem to be cooked properly and the batter was very thin and tasteless. Perhaps try to get quality over quantity might be a good idea. Also they don't take card payments but that's up to the business.

Had sausage and chips for lunch today, whilst working locally. Felt queezy all evening and ended up throwing up. Won't be going again.

I lived in this area growing up and when it was owned by Michael back in the day, it was the best chip shop for miles, what a shame the battered sausage was clearly from the day before, the batter was soft and chewy, the service was poor and the place needs a refurb or at least a deep clean The outside of the shop is filthy, no one seems to care which makes me think what goes on behind closed doors, I would avoid this chippy at all costs and I will never go there again

Best fish and chips in Northampton! The staff there are so polite and friendly and the portions are really good, the fish always tastes fresh and not too greasy. We love getting our chippy tea from here and wouldn't go anywhere else for it!

Popped in on my travels and just after I had finished ordering I was greeted by we don't take card payments.....what! 2022 cash only chippy haha ridiculous. So I went Tesco nextdoor instead and told the guy I won't be having that order now (as didn't want to use ATM and potential get my card details cloned from bandits) he said I've made it now! well more fool him. Avoid unless you carry cash on you.

Cant give zero stars else i would, after ordering 3 fish and chips and 2 sausage and chips, the 3 people who had fish had vomiting and 1 person was admitted to hospital, and was diagnosed with food poisoning, wont be using again

I've been going to michaels for years now, their food is delicious and of highest standard! I highly recommend this place for the fish and chips and the pizzas!

Incredible chips, burgers OK and veg rolls. But kebabs are awful, even if the "meat" is well done it has a weird texture. I know how kebab meat is made but these kebabs are the cheapest of the cheap, what a waste of money and such a let down. If they could invest in better quality food we would use their facilities so much more.

Excellent quality, fair prices, large portions and friendly service! Once a month we get our Friday dinner here for my elderly parents who are housebound. Simple to ring the order in and it’s then ready for collecting at the specified time. Thank you to all concerned!

It was a Friday evening so was expecting a queue which was about 20minutes. Was a little slow as orders were taking a priority so having to wait in between. The most disturbing part of the wait though was a man who was cooking the food had his mask under his nose and half way down his mouth. You can only pay cash and the man who was taking the cash was also touching the food, very uneasy about this and nearly left....the food was ok.....

I live in Las Vegas Nevada. My girlfriend’s mother lives about a mile and a half from Michael’s grill. I visit there at least once every time I am in town sometimes two, three and once I ate there four times! Fish is always fresh and delicious. Everyone is always friendly. I try to bring a shirt from Las Vegas to give to Michael every time I visit. My favorite fish and chips in the world.

Been going here for 20 years. Never had a bad experience. Staff are friendly and portions are excellent. I highly recommend the secret menu "Dirty burger" and "Filthy Fire" pizza!

Chips were tasty and crisp. The fish was some of the worse I've had. Almost inedible. Thick, soggy, greasy and dark brown batter. The fish was of poor quality. Real shame. Won't be returning!

We live 2 miles, if that from brixworth fish and chip shop but we always travel here because staff are lovely do their best always for you and food really good generous portions value for money and you always get a smile. Can't ask for more than that.

Micheals is my local chip shop and every time I go in there they are always so lovely. They always ask how I am and my family is. The food is lovely most of the time and can sometimes the batter isn’t nice but expect from that I would have given it a 5 star review. Defiantly reccomend the pizzas.

I ordered 2 fish and chips and was charged £13.10. The fish was of very poor quality, grey looking and flat, it just didn't taste like fresh fish at all, also the batter was far too thick and was so greasy I had to pat it with kitchen roll. The guy serving said I've given you 3 portions as they're quite small. He wasn't lying here, once you took the batter off they were miniscule. Chips were not too bad with a good flavour, however I ordered and paid for 2 portions and was only given 1 portion. Whilst I was queuing, a customer came in to the shop as he'd obviously been given a short order and returned to collect the rest of his order. It's a 10 minute drive for me so I wasn't prepared to go back. It just left a family very disappointed and annoyed that they think they can get away with this quality of service. Sadly, I won't be returning.

Wow lovely ...well worth a visit..😉🍟🐟 haven't been for years but impulse dinner ..batter was lovely ordered haddock and cod...huge haddock..got given more cod as smaller peices...still couldn't eat it..will definitely return sooner rather than later..keep it up..x

Long time customer. I have rarely had anything I disliked from here. The pizzas, though not the best in Northampton, are definitely my go-to pizzas when I want some comfort food. The staff are very nice. Don't be afraid to ask for particulars. Want fish without batter? They'll do it. Want some extra sauce on your pizza? You got it.

Ordered a kebab 1hr ago inedible. Staff did this deliberately as I had insisted on fresh meat from source rather than the pathetic mound of s**t that appeared from God knows where. My advice...avoid like the plague... PA Kingsthorpe.
