Had the best cake and ice cream from here. Seriously tasty cake and the service was lovely. It’s in a handy part of town just down goodramgate and the whole place from outside in is really authentic Well worth a visit!

We popped in for a quick cuppa but staff were so welcoming we stayed for lunch. Generous tea and coffee with extra hot water. Quirky old worlde vibe. My boyfriend had the breakfast which had great sausage and bacon and I had jacket potato. It was a good price and we would definitely go back.

After a morning at Cayton Bay, my wife and I were on the way home and looking out for a place along the way to see if we could have lunch before the trip back. We had noticed the tearoom on the way there and happened to spot this on the way back so we decided to stop off and check it out (this was roughly around 2pm at this point). The room itself is set within the Spital Farm Themed shopping centre which is a very interesting place and not what I was expecting to find on the outskirts of the larger Scarborough area! Very medieval themed with some mannequins for good measure, but each shop has an entrance like a house and Ye Olde Yorkshire Tearooms were no exception to this. When we walked in I was struck by how cosy it was, like a local pub but the owners greeted us both very warmly and sat is down promptly. We had a look through the menu which was well priced and had a great range of options on offer (and given we're both vegetarian it was nice to see plenty of vegetarian and vegan options). I had the small vegetarian breakfast and my wife had Cheesy chips, accompanied by a pot of tea for my breakfast and my wife getting a coffee. Lovely food - I was happy to see the vegetarian black pudding on my dish as I love it, not sure why some other places don't include it but the owners know how to make a vegetarian Yorkshireman happy. My wife wouldn't stop raving about the chips, which were triple cooked and covered in plenty of melted cheese, I had a few and they were lovely. The owners were very friendly and we had a good time there, we left with full bellies and next time we visit the local area we will definitely make a return.

Wow 🤩 what a wonderful welcome we received at this lovely cafe within the Spital complex My friend spotted the small breakfast and boy was it amazing! The Chef Wayne told us that everything was from quality local producers which you could definitely taste! It is a family business that has taken it over since the last time we visited (many years ago) so it was great to see all the positive changes. Wayne’s Mum makes all the cakes 🍰 and pies in the bakery shop also in the complex we are told, and his Dad helps him in the cafe. As it was mid afternoon we were only thinking of a pot of tea and possibly a snack but nothing was too much trouble and it was truly a wonderful and unexpected pleasure:) Thank you 🙏🏻 Wayne and family 💞we will definitely be back !! Love and blessings, Karen and Sal xx

The most amazing breakfast!!best ever!!! also the bacon & sausage sandwiches ❤️Cappuccino ❤️ Over the years I would always visit 1st place to go before arriving in Scarborough ... because I do get disappointed with the poor quality when I’m in Scarborough in certain cafes etc .. this Gem it’s just of the roundabout heading to the coast ... everything is amazing... the home make bread / cakes/buns/ it’s quirky atmosphere..family run business that I prefer to support and the shops inside are fantastic and great prices ... you can even stay over camping etc it’s brilliant 10 out of 10!!! The Xmas cake I just bought yesterday was the best ever. Everything is made from the heart 💓

Came across this place by accident, just passing and in need of lunch. Such a quaint little place inside of a building that houses various little shops. Old world type of place, very interesting with a lot of history. The tea room itself was family owned with the son giving us loads of interesting facts about the place. The food was excellent with a varied menu and reasonably priced, all home cooked with products locally grown. We have already decided we are returning before we go home.

Decent choice of food available however we ordered pie mash Mushy peas and gravy. Only had 1 pie (so got a pasty as there was 2 of us) Mash was made from a jacket potato it was very lumpy tinned peas over blasted in the microwave served with a smile however forgot the gravy and it arrived half way through us eating the meal. Sadly this place could be a little gold mine if run correctly and proper attention to detail applied with the food. We hafmd our lunch at 12.15 so there was no way they could have ran out of mash? Could do better really

Booked the brewery tour package from Red Letter days. The tour was very informative with Josh being a fountain of knowledge and obviously loving brewing and beer. His witty remarks and low key humour really made the tour enjoyable. The beer tasting in the bar was flexible and offered a pint taken eith as a pint, two halves or a flight of 3, third pints to enable a range to be tried! Although a small brewery they have some quite advanced mechanisation for bottling, canning and casking! Very impressed,

A lovely friendly bakery, just one wee table to sit and and have a coffee and observe the comings and goings of the regulars, the holiday makers and day trippers. Bread and cakes wonderful, a lovely lady owns this place and I wish her well!
