Beautiful place, but they are clearly understaffed. Over an hour waiting time on a Sunday is simply not acceptable.

Best location on the river in Thames Ditton. Affordable delicious food and super friendly staff! Great spot for the summer due its fab garden! grab yourself a JUG of Pimm's 😋 Owner Adam is super welcoming. A must try!

Our recent lunch was incredibly disappointing. We waited nearly two hours for our food to arrive, which is completely unacceptable, especially with two young children. When the food finally arrived, saying the fish and chips were subpar is being kind, they were dry and cheap. The service was equally poor, with no explanation or apology offered for the excessive wait time. We won't be returning and do not recommend dining here when you have plenty of other options down the road

I am relatively new to the area and was really looking forward to visiting with friends for lunch this Easter bank holiday. When we entered the pub the atmosphere was just off. No hello or warm welcome, it felt like an inconvenience for them to be serving drinks at a pub. We ordered food that took far too long to come with zero apology or explanation. Although I would say the male waiter was clearly doing a good job and was rushed off his feet. The fish and chips were unfortunately the worst I have had in a very long time. Overall it was really disappointing and sadly I won't be returning.

Hogs back session IPA was excellent. If you like having pesticide sprayed on roses while you are drinking 5ft away and to have a staff member take the piss because you try and access the pub and toilets by the wrong door.... then this is the place for you.

Absolutely shocking at how the change of management has destroyed an amazing pub. Food was disgusting!!! We were a large group so had a variety of meals and all equally bad! Food all frozen and then defrosted (questionable) and cooked to a frazzle. Burgers were the worst I have ever seen. Frozen carrots, broccoli and peas swimming in water served as the veg side. Gammon so tough you couldn’t eat it. We sadly will never go back. What an absolute shame. Shame on you Ye Old Swan! You surely can do better than that.

What a beautiful setting! Ye Olde Swan, an offering from Greene King, situated in Thames Ditton, over the bridge to the eponymous island (why not an eyot?). Lovely people and super staff. A star lost simply on staffing levels, methinks. So many glasses in the wash up - enough - A great pub ( not a post office, what are the queues about, not the pubs fault!!). Love the bridge over to the eyot and be careful, the entrance does not face the road, it's in the back yard, car park. Lovely pint, much appreciated. 🙃

Had a meal here before which was thoroughly enjoyed by all 11 of us. Totally different experience today nearly 2 hrs for food 14 of us including 3 children they were very short staffed asked for childrens meals to come out as soon as possible as they were hungry people ewere coming in asking about food and were being told 2 and a half hours to 3 hours for food.

Food is really top notch,Mixed grill and apple crumble was amazing! Not to mention brilliant friendly service. All round great experience highly recommend to all.

Great experience, no complaints! We had a family Birthday lunch about a month ago. There were 12 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was great and well portioned and the service was excellent, nothing was any trouble. This was my second visit in 5 months and I will be back. Thank you for a great afternoon.

There is no need to say anything. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is nice, the employees are friendly, At the end, I asked where I was from and I said I was from Korea. Thanks to the waiter who greeted me in Korean, it was a pleasant meal to the end.

Lovely location, beautiful view. So let down by the food. Fish cakes were cremated to the point of them being black, chicken schnitzel so deep fried I could barely cut it. The best thing of the meal was the garlic bread and that was stale and over done too. I now realise why it was so empty on a beautiful afternoon next to the Thames in London. Such a shame

Lovely food just like last time I was there 2 years ago. Prices excellent seeing its London. Guinness excellent as well.

Amazingly authentic English pub with a rich history and incredible food. We had some pork belly and wine. Was delectable. The hosts are hospitable and the fire was roaring. On a chilly day like today, it’s all you need.

The best Roast Dinner we have had in a pub in a long time, the team were really welcoming and friendly.

Lovely pub, very cosy with lovely ambience in winter. The food is delicious, the service was great and the place is very child friendly. Have vegan options as well.

Great service, food very good - we all had pies which seemed home made and tasted great! Wines were excellent. £75 for 3 of us including a shared starter. Great value.

This is a picturesque, village Pub. Great to meeting friends, famous for its quality beers, service and of course a menu. Last week we have enjoyed special offer of burger and a pint. One could choose from the selection of burgers to be accompanied by the pint or a soft drink. Regrettably offer has now expired but burgers are still there. It is one of the culinary passions of chef Lukasz, his juicy burgers accompanied by chips and onion rings are amazingly tasty. His over twenty years' experience making his customers culinary happy and enjoy a friendly chat too. Highly recommended to visit and be entertained by friendly and inviting team and naturally any dish on the menu as well as our favourite San Miguel. See you there Kat and Jack

The pub is quite spacious and has a lovely ambience. They also have an open space where you could sit just by the riverside and enjoy your meal. The location is by a quaint village located not far from Richmond. The food was great (the best gammon I've ever eaten) and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. On Wednesdays they do Quiz nights and other events during the rest of the week.

Great Pub, serving local community and beyond. Full of history and charm. Legend has it there is an underground tunnel to The Hampton Court Palace used by Henry the VIII for his nocturnal habits when the place was a hotel??? Anyway, following an exceptionally successful charity event a couple of weeks ago for Macmillan Cancer Support pub is now following with tea or coffee with cake dedicated to the same Charity. Highly recommended, prepared and served by an ever so friendly and welcoming team. We see you there Kat & Jack Ps. They do not insist on payment in crypto currency 😊

Beautiful setting by the river, lovely bar and areas/rooms with some real fires, good range of drinks with deals on Friday nights, fun quiz night and yummy food too! Definitely recommend whatever the weather!

Love this riverside pub. I want to add a new review but dont know how. So I am updating this old review. Once again I've visited ye Olde Swan at Thames ditton and WOW, this place is gorgeous. I've booked a Christmas lunch for several friends from the tennis club, and we are doing a "full menu" and have devided to order the whole christmas 3 course meal: all the starters, all the mains and all the desserts. My son, partner and I have just enjoyed a tasty pub dinner at this lovely Riverside venue...food was top notch as was the Malbec...lovely friendly service in a stunning location...highly recommend! Oh and the pub is very dog friendly :)

Great food Great service Wonderful staff and atmosphere

Ridiculously long wait for food (well over an hour), despite having booked a table. The food was overcooked and just generally not very nice. The Macaroni Cheese was particularly bad - it looked and tasted like a cheap microwave meal with a bit of Brie melted on top. Overall very disappointing and will not be returning.

I’m not usually a fan of GK pubs, but it’s always a joy to come here on a summer’s day given it’s stunning setting by Thames Ditton Island. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the round of Estrella and spirit and mixer was very well priced for the area and below the usual GK expected price. I’d expected it to be more having not been since last year. I’ve eaten before but not on this occasion and the food has been simple but effective in the past. Well worth a visit here, particularly on a warm day ☀️ Update: pub is completely under resourced so there’s long waits at the bar. The food waits are ridiculous and often orders are incorrect or food brought at different times for a party of people. Has gone downhill in recent months and GK need to get their act together as it’s the same situation at the Druids Head in Kingston. Staff try hard but aren’t enough of them to deliver a good standard. The prices aren’t cheap either so go elsewhere. At least Spoons run a tight ship rather than GK chaos at a much higher price and worse quality for food and drink;

Lunch booked for a party of nine for 1pm. We arrived at 12.50. We went to the desk to check in and was advised that there was a 1 hour 40mins. wait for food. Although not happy, not much we could do. We sat at our table and ordered drinks and gave the waitress our orders. The wait was not quite as long as had been expected, which was a bonus. However, the quality of the mains food was awful for all!! Some of the dishes were overcooked to the extent of being very unpleasant and inedible. It took a long time for anyone to clear our tables, therefore inviting flies and wasps to hover over the leftover food. To say we were very disappointed for this special occasion to go so badly wrong is an understatement. Needless to say we will not be returning!

We had an amazing experience at Ye old swan. We had the pork Sunday roast recommended by the chef Lucas. The roast potatoes were delicious. The weather was lovely too and they had live music on the terrace by the river. Recommended 100% plan for a Saturday afternoon

Had the lasagne, zapped in microwave as expected but it looked and tasted horrible, did comment to the guy who asked how our meal was, but unfortunately he was new so didn’t really know what to do.

Ye Olde Swan is a charming establishment situated alongside the river. The reasonably priced menu offers a diverse selection of expertly prepared dishes. During peak hours, service may be slower, but this affords an opportunity to unwind and appreciate the picturesque river views. Parking is limited. The two disabled parking spaces are inaccessible.

Best pint in Thames Ditton - Level Head, by Greene King. Friendly staff and great location. Started coming here recently. In 6 years never been here before. Lovely old building. Was taking a photo and decided to try a pint. Be rude not to! Then I discovered the local Canadian Geese and the ducks and Coots. Feeding them - thats my excuse to come here for a pint or two...

So impressed with a recent visit to Ye Olde Swan! My family arranged a gathering here last weekend to celebrate the life of my grandma who grew up on the Island. We had over 30 people, all eating from the menu - I was expecting chaos, but our experience was exceptional. We arrived on a beautiful sunny day and had been allocated a really lovely outside seating area near the river. Staff were friendly and helpful. All of our food came out on time, hot and correct, not one issue! They even brought the kids food out first which was super helpful. Everyone had a wonderful time, the pub had a great atmosphere, boats could moor up alongside, there was live music later in the day. Highly recommend! Thanks Ye Olde Swan team for helping us honour my grandma and have a really memorable and special time at your pub.

Recently hired function room for kid’s birthday party. Great venue, lovely and generous buffet, friendly staff and lots of time to set up and pack up. Would highly recommend for a private function.

Ruined Father's day for me, my son-in-law and on top it was my father,s 7th year death anniversary. The service was abominable. I have been there several times, but it was hopeless. They charged a £30 deposit to the book, but they took 35 minutes to get our order. They served faster 2 tables next to us, that arrived much later than us. They forgot my granddaughter' starter who was starving (garlic bread!!!) So extra delay for her. The main courses arrived 2 hours later!!! Disgraceful service and the place was empty!!! I complained several times, and nothing happened. The manager shone by his absence. No apologies. Useless manager. NEVER AGAIN.
