Very Rasist pub that does not take any notice of complaints made by very rude staff, same response on every complaint on this site. Clearly does not care about reviews ... customers as from what I can see on the reviews here n nothing has changed. This place is loosing so many customers. Really think they should monitor and train staff on how to treat their customers. And please don't respond with same message as it us insulting,

The pub is a 'more traditional' style which is delightful. The staff were incredibly kind, however the service was hit and miss due to how busy it was and also the fact like most of hospitality they seriously need more staff to deal with the demand. The food we ordered was tasty and ample, however it was not as hot as it should have been. I assume due to staffing issues in getting the food from the kitchen to the tables.

Having lived in London for 10 years, this has been the worst lunch experience I have ever had. We came in for lunch and waited over an hour for food. In an almost absolutely empty pub! (Would say at 50/60 % capacity). We ordered at 1.45 pm and only received the food past 3pm. When the food finally came, it came cold and one of burgers, you could kill someone with the patty given how hard it was. And only 4 out of 6 plates came. We had to wait 20 min for the other two and only after we complained did they magically appear. Incredibly unprofessional staff that just offered a "it is what it is" response and vague sorrys. Several other people complained on top of us.

Served by the most miserable and lethargic bar person (female) I’ve ever come across. Didn’t answer my question and was more interested in looking into her phone rather than actually serve the customer. Sad for the pub owner that this employee was so poor. Won’t bother spending my money here again.

went there for a quick drink with mate, plenty of space upstairs and downstairs, lucky not busy so been served quite quickly , clean toilets centrally located close to train station, will pop in again next time if close by

The final pub on our short crawl: we enjoyed a pint of good Guinness as the place began its close down for the evening. Met some Austrian guys at the bar who we talked to for a while - a real melting pot! Nice pub, centrally located. I would return!

Stunningly delicious food. Typical European attention, absolutely, unpleasant. For the desserts and Greene King beer I would return, without a doubt.

Waited patiently to get served, ignored by the only bar person who then made a point of serving someone who had just walked up to the bar.....the recent re-fit has left it devoid of atmosphere. Definitely a place for tourists

Cozy pub but sadly let down by nonchalant staff who see customers as infringing on their loitering about time. Slow lethargic service. So many Better pubs nearby within walking distance. Avoid this one.

Absolutely a brilliant like an old fashioned pub . Great atmosphere, fantastic food, very friendly staff , and reasonable prices. The staff kept checking if everything was good which was very nice. We were a party of 5 people but every one had a great time.i would certainly recommend it to everybody.

Me and my family came here for dinner yesterday, the atmosphere was amazing and the food was great, i’d definitely recommend! However the staff was not so great and could definitely do with an improvement , i was served by a lady at the bar with black hair and a gillet, she didn’t make us feel welcomed at all and she had a slight attitude which i don’t appreciate. Furthermore, the rest of the staff seemed quite moody.

Such an authentic place with lovely staff Clodagh was such a kind person. Five star place totally suggest!! 😉🤗

Came here with the whole family while visiting for the England vs Ireland football match. Great sound on the tv and great picture. Really lovely barmen downstairs. Food and drinks were nice and large portions of the sandwiches were great. As we were there on a Sunday they had to close up earlier but the 2 chaps downstairs really made our night, as they let us play pool a little bit after our time, while they tidied so we could still have a few games. If we’re back in London we will definitely be back! Fair play lads and thanks again. Would recommend to all. Great atmosphere and great craic 🇮🇪

Nice atmosphere, food and selection of beers! We have been visiting yesterday evening, caring around a person with mental issues which made our journey difficult already. I would like to say a big thank you to Muskaan for the kindness, empathy and professionalism 🙏🏼✨ Keep It up 🙌🏼 From the other hand, I would suggest to the other lady working downstair to have some holiday or perhaps changing her job, as she been quite rude and unpleasant for no reasons and from the very beginning.

Lovely food and very affordable. There was a funny taste of cleaning product in a pint of peroni served in the downstairs bar but the food made up for it

Nice bar, went to eat but didn't as already operating Christmas menu which was not what we were looking for. Very clean, fresh, decent service and comfortable. Had a nice drink in a good location after a visit to St Pauls.

Great service, delicious food, amazing atmosphere.

Traditional English pub. We went there on a Monday afternoon, the atmosphere was perfect for relaxing. Quiet, but with life. The fish and chips were up to the standards of the Greene King chain, well executed and reassuring for fans of the classics. Ideal for a relaxing weekday break.

This is a hidden gem near St Paul's cathedral. From the outside it looks like a small pub, but it has a large beautifully light and airy downstairs bar/dining area (with a pool table - something you don't see often in the City) It also has a beer garden off the downstairs area which is lovely and quiet considering it's in the heart of the city. Service was fantastic. Staff were quick to serve with a friendly attitude. The manager was particularly helpful when we asked for advice on drinks, also when we asked if football could be shown (big plus they have multiple screens) Menu has variety to suit most tastes. Food was served quickly, even though the pub was quite busy and was of excellent quality (also good to see staff check food was OK after we'd started - more like a restaurant than a pub) Would highly recommend and will definately be returning. Shame I can't give 6 stars, this one deserves it - they're definately doing something right.

This place is rubbish. Just finished such a bland meal, ordered steak sandwiches with chips and a pint of peroni each. £43 for flat beer, tasteless steak and stale bread. Two of the three ladies toilets were blocked and un-usable. The bar man was so rude and uninterested, didn’t even offer cutlery or napkins. Had to go over and ask for this which he just dumped at the end of the bar with a grunt. Zero atmosphere, no music playing just a constant beeping of an alarm. And never bothered to clear our plates, what a rubbish experience. This was our Saturday night out and meant to be a treat and it was utter rubbish. We aren’t tourists we live in London and expect a lot better. Would never, ever return. We didn’t even bother complaining because you could just tell by the attitude of the staff here that they don’t give a sh*t.

Food was amazing, arrived super fast. Service was super, staff very pleasant and attentative. Definitely returning! Andreea & Barry were just brilliant 💙 (FYI- the £40-£50 spend was only because of the bottles of wine we bought 😉)

This newly renovated pub is a little hidden gem in the St Paul’s area . Staff are super friendly and helpful My food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Bread was fresh and food plentiful . I can’t wait to come back again and taste the other dishes I would highly recommend this pub so if you are ever nearby please give it a try

I absolutely love Ye Olde London, it’s my local and where my bestie and I frequent every Wednesday and sometimes Thursday evenings. The staff are always super friendly and proactive whereby as soon as they see us enter the bar, they’re already pouring our drinks. The new manager; Andreea is incredible and very attentive. Barry and Seb are a breath of fresh air and always make us feel welcome with their jovial, positive attitude. I’ve never been in a pub where it feels like family, a true home from home. I would highly recommend this place, the drinks selection is grand and the food delicious, you can’t go wrong. They’ve recently refurbished and the place is looking beautiful with the light wood, green painted walls, candle lit holders and a lovely garden. They’ve really spruced the place up and brought it up to date without losing the traditional feel. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Rushing around on Open House weekend and feeling very hungry spotted this place. (Unfortunately there was someone in the doorway blocking a sign more later) The staff were friendly and a lovely looking pub we were guided downstairs for lunch. The food was served promptly but was not as nice as it looks, the peas were definitely nuked, the mash moved in one lump and the pie had a nice filling but the crust was very hard and uneatable, Did not stay for deserts, It is a shame as the staff and premises were very warm and inviting, it was on the way out that I saw it was a Green King premise, sorry but the Pubs are usually very nice but the food is the same across the group.

I think it's a great place. Classic pub atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food and beers. Prices are also relatively fair. Worth a visit.

We came to visit the Old Bailey and had lunch at Ye Olde London. The food and drinks were amazing and the staff were all very polite and friendly. Great service! Loved the interior design and the bathroom was very clean. Will definitely visit again :)

I had an amazing experience at Ye Olde London! The service was top-notch and definitely worth a full five stars. They even went above and beyond by charging my phone, which was a huge help. We had a great time, and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend!

What a Pub! Has better food and atmosphere over fancy restaurants back in Washington DC! Had a wonderful experience in London, and despite what anyone might have said, the food in London was the best part. Heck this pub has a chicken katsu burger with coriander! Blimey that’s what you call flavoUr! The atmosphere is hectic upstairs and quiet and reserved downstairs, but which is bloody perfection. The beer is solid (and it comes in pints). Give this place a go, she won’t disappoint!

My friends and I had a great time chilling here over lunch. Food was served hot and needed a bit of seasoning, but was otherwise delicious! Service was excellent with friendly staff making us feel very welcome.

Traditional Pub with a wide range of products on the menu where you can drink and eat. Music and pleasant atmosphere. Located next to St. Paul's Cathedral and connected by the Millennium Bridge to the Tate Modern and the Globe Theatre. Drop by, the waiters will treat you very well.

Honestly for a central London pub it's pretty good

Popped in for a quick drink for dinner. Friendly barman, quick service and a nice seat by the window. Was pretty quiet considering it was about 1745 in the evening. The downstairs bar seems to have a better atmosphere, but no complaints.

Good place to have a beer and eat after a pleasant walk through the City of London. They have an outdoor terrace on the ground floor with a very comfortable TV. The katsu chicken burger was delicious.

First stop in London after a long day of travel from the U.S. Great beer, cocktails, and service. The fish and chips were so good, we plan to come back again! Tucked in right next to St. Paul’s cathedral with the quintessential “British Pub” atmosphere would recommended 12/10!

Came here with my dad on our first night in London and we had a wonderful time! Monday night so it wasn’t very crowded, the fish and chips and mushroom chili were great, and Barry was awesome and very sweet at the bar. Pool table and outdoor seating available downstairs. Nice place for a relaxed weeknight!

Has a serious rat problem. Must avoid. Update: thank you for your response. However I find your response very misleading, I have videos of mouse traps under the tables and also have a video of a mouse running around your establishment.
