Spaghetti House in City of London, Westminster

Sky and Francesco are great hosts. needless to say their dishes are good....they should be tasted and I recommend them.... carefree lunch, comfortable atmosphere..... If you are in London you have to stop and.....!!!

Went to the Spagetti House Covent Garden before a Theatre visit. Arrived early for booked table not an issue. Service was friendy and prompt. Food was nice and good to sit upstairs watching a very busy area. Was quite expensive especially the Lager but this is central London so to be expected

I recently visited Spaghetti House and ordered the pasta carbonara — it was absolutely delicious! The sauce was creamy and rich, the pasta perfectly cooked, and the portion just right. What made the experience even better was the service. I sat at table 21, Marian, our waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. It’s rare to find both great food and such warm service in one place. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Food good, salad not very fresh but otherwise very good. We had Penne alla Norma Pizza Caprichosa and a lasagna. The atmosphere was very nice and simple and the service was nice and friendly. And everyone has a neilahesakat to eat, drink a beer and water

Really lovely spot for lunch, there was 4 of us and we had mains and drinks and the food was delicious - great portion sizes and fab service.

Came here for dinner with my friend, shared a bottle of the house white which was lovely and had arancini and garlic bread to start, was so good. Our mains were lovely but the best part was our amazing server pinki she was so funny and gave such good service so a big thanks to her :) would deffo come back

Tried the arancini, pizza capricciosa and mac amatriciana but all of them were just tastless. Perhaps we had high expectations and thought it would be some authentic Italian experience but we were very disappointed.

We are vegetarian and order arrabbiata pasta and there was a meat on it by mistake! When we told the waitress there was no apology or any thing. We asked them to remove it from the bill and they did. Also, its a spaghetti house they should do everything from scratch. Disappointed

We stopped for a quick late lunch and ordered meals which usually are nice and easy in an Italian restaurant.Pasta dish with an alright sauce but overcooked pasta and a Caesar salad some sad looking thinly cut up lettuce with very dry chicken which didn’t taste fresh either.My daughter’s meal was reasonable and we ate because we were in a hurry and hungry and no one came round to check if it’s all ok anyway.The rude comment of the waiter/manager to my comment about the chicken that i”in this borough”they have to make the chicken well done(like all the rest of undercook chicken or never had a nice cooked chicken and we’re being stupid for even mentioning that…made it an unpleasant experience.They wouldn’t care because tourists will come and go and the business runs itself anyway,but as someone who worked in the industry for 17 years I just can’t accept this appalling service and pretend I enjoyed some mediocre food

The Margherita cheese did slide off quite easily when fresh and wasn't cut very evenly but other than that everything was brilliant. I don't understand how this place is only 3.9 stars.

My expectation for the food was better, but the Siciliana pizza was very salty. Frankly, being too salty seriously suppressed the taste of the fish and pizza. Apart from this, it is a general rule in restaurants in London that there is no obligation to charge a cover charge or a service charge. It was not stated that the restaurant had a mandatory cover charge before receiving the menu. A very high cover charge of 13.5% was stated wittily, especially avoiding service charge, and it is unacceptable for such an elite place to stoop to this. However, it is humanly embarrassing that the waiter forces you to pay this and that other customers hear about it. The customer is always right, a forced fee cannot be made up. I did not want to pay a service charge because of the service and bill we waited for so long. I stated that I will write this situation openly, I hope a more professional management approach is adopted and customers do not become humiliated in front of other customers by the waiters.

As a family of six spanning three generations, we were delighted by the kind welcome of the manager and the staff. Everyone was most accommodating, very attentive to dietary restrictions, and the food was prompt and very tasty. Each of us, from youngest to eldest enjoyed our food and ate our fill. The restaurant has a Mediterranean flair, and is on multiple levels, so don’t be fooled by the small dimensions of the street level footprint.

If you want to travel to Italy, without leaving London, look no further than the Spaghetti House on Cranbourn St. It’s is a foolproof choice for a great, authentic Italian meal. Every time we visit, we are so impressed by the outstanding and genuinely caring service - thanks to Skye who always welcomes us back like family. The food is wonderful. My personal fav is the Spaghetti con polpettine. Divine! And don't miss out on dessert. The Tentazione al cioccolato is a chocolate lover’s dream come true. The atmosphere is lovely and it remains fantastic value for money. All in all, a flawless experience every time.

Hello, Excuse me for my bad English because I’ m girly French. I love this restaurant because the pasta is very delicious and the Parmesan miam miam. The serveuse is very sympathique. Call us crazy, because we still had Italian food in Chinatown 😁😁 And it was tasty too. We hadn't made a reservation, but luckily they still had a table available. Clean, tasty and good friendly service.

The welcome and the setting are nice. Regarding the kitchen it's something else. Carbonara pasta with crème fraîche😱😱. A hyper-diluted aperol spritz 🤦🏻. £112 for 4 pastas and 4 drinks is crazy. It stays in your throat

The arancini balls where tiny expected a large one, the meatball pasta wasn't that great nor was the lasagne average food for the money we paid, the tables were so tightly packed in we had to ask others to move to let us out...

Poor staff, uninspired food, expensive - with a stealth fee of a "compulsory 13.5% service". Good location and lots of (cramped) seating.

At first the waiters were kind. The prices were high, but we expected to receive very high-quality food. But we were very disappointed. The caesar salad had an abnormal amount of vinegar added to it, we found a piece of plastic in the spaghetti, and the spaghetti with seafood was watery and completely tasteless. The staff did not offer us any compensation but instead charged us 13.5% for service. The prices for such a kitchen are more than high. And as the last straw, the staff blamed us for being too late to say that we were not satisfied. We left the food on the plates

I used to love this place. Came here many times with family, and craved it during all my pregnancies. Haven’t been here for 6 months and it went downhill. I don’t know if their chef changed or care for quality altogether but food was inedible. Pizza was undercooked felt like I was eating a raw dough, my tagliatelle was far from al dente it was way undercooked and crunchy, my husbands spaghetti was a bit closer to al dente I had few bites of his not to leave the table hungry. Sauces seriously lacked flavour, it was a disaster. Staff is polite, but lack professionalism. They don’t know how to serve food had to constantly assist the waitress. Definitely not coming here again which is a shame as I used to love this place as mentioned before.

This was the first time we’d visited and the staff were super welcoming and helpful from my calling the restaurant before visiting to arriving at the restaurant and being attended throughout. The food is delicious and feels authentically Italian. Despite being in a bustling location the restaurant has a calm and cosy feel to it (we were sat downstairs below ground level). It’s a small space but has an interesting layout and didn’t feel crowded. We loved it and will come back the next time we’re in London!

A little disappointed with our experience at this establishment. Given the name of the establishment, one might expect beautiful fresh spaghetti. This is not the case. A little bland, products that are nothing exceptional, overcooked and dry meatballs... and neutral service, without really investment. It's a shame because it could be superb. It feels a bit like a canteen.

Gets three stars for 13.5% cover charge added onto bill that I was told I can’t take off! You are not told about this upon entering the restaurant nor when ordering. Just slapped on bill as a surprise at end. Service was slow. Food nice, nothing special though.

The pizza Margherita was really delicious. The linguini Gamberi a little bit spicy for those who love hot sauce, it was delicious too. Special thanks for the staff who was carrying.

Very crowded and tables next to each other. Food is good but I remember it was better last year we visited.

We tried the Spaghettata for 2 people of Spaghetti with polpettine and we loved it! Only for two people you are left hungry. The desserts are also good. I recommend booking because it is very full. The service a little slow.

Food was really nice, it was clean, with a good atmosphere, and amazing staff. However there was a 13.5% cover charge added to the bill (hidden at the bottom of the menu) for “maintenance of the building” that didn’t even cover a tip for the staff!

Festive season, restaurants running full so any customisations are out of question. We asked for it and got denied. So had to order what was available and was not well suited to our palate (bring on the spicier side). Overall good food, great service and a good festive dinner at a place buzzing with customers. Good vibes.

Staff weren’t very friendly, food was ok. We Ordered a salad and came with a hair on it, waiter didn’t apologise or say anything, just took it away and bought it back 10 minutes later. & The salad and service charge were still on the bill! Wouldn’t recommend

His spaghetti was very simple and tasteless, I was very surprised. I do not recommend it at all, the prices are very expensive, there are many nice restaurants nearby that you can go to if you pay that money. Additionally, the female employee who served our table was very cold and harsh. We said "thank you" twice and she did not respond at all. We were not satisfied at all, it was the standard spaghetti bought from the market, you can make much better ones at home.

Just had a lovely meal here . Simone'meatball spaghetti dish was superb. Full of flavour with a rich thick gravy. The tagliatelle with the fennel sausage and porchiini was equally delicious. Very generous portions. Both house wines were good and suited the meal. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back when next in London.

For the French, you can find better.

Very bad experience today at spaghetti house covent garden We waited and waited Only the starters came All other guests who arrived after us were served before us and they had obviously forgotten our order as the waitress said “ I was on a break!” Our kids were starving and every time we ask the staff shows very little to no response and eventually we’re actually rude as we decided to pay and cancel our order all together Never again

Really enjoyed our visit here. The sharing bowl of Carbonara was enormous and great value. My first visit, but my wife and daughter had been to other restaurants of theirs and heartily recommended it.

The hosts are bad, the Indian Doyle is unresponsive, and the restaurant manager is even worse
