We used to order take away from here all the time, the place used to be HEAVING. It's had a refurb since I last went to pick up a take away so can only assume new owners? We arrived, restaurant was quite warm (baring in mind it was quite warm out still at 8pm.) we were put in the back corner. Ordered poppadoms, they came with the standard chutney tray. Food came, it was piping hot which was great but that's where it stopped. My food tasted extremely bland & my husbands tasted 'chemically'. We didn't finish it. However asked for a box to take left overs home as there was quite a lot left. Given the bill & to my suprise we were charged for the chutney tray £2.50- never in my life have I EVER been charged when ordering poppadoms & I was charged for packaging. I have no objection to paying for the packaging but jeez at least let me know. It may have only been £3.30 all in all but principle. They do not serve alcohol but you can take your own drinks. Best you do take your own drinks as we paid £18 for 4 large cokes! We basically paid through the nose for everyone else to drink their own drinks. Sad to say that we won't be returning. Before the 'owner' says this is a 'fake review' like he has a lot of other negative ones - i have attached a picture of the reservation confirmation.

Good food but still there is room for improvement

Always fantastic food from Yateley Spice. And it’s bring your own alcohol in the restaurant too, with soft drinks available to buy. Really good service.

Absolutely disgraceful walked in with my wife and three kids, but because they know we were travellers, the place was empty they said they never had any tables but as we all know travellers spend a lot more than normal people

Outstanding food and excellent value. Combined with great service, nothing is ever too much trouble. A must visit.

Owner and staff were really friendly, and the lamb biryani was perfect!

Amazing environment, very well maintained restaurant in Yately. Remarkable chef who cooks literally Authentic Indian food! Must try all of their items because you won’t regret anything at all! Toilets are also neat and clean which you don’t see in any Indian restaurants.

It was a great place to eat lovely to see you can bring your own alcohol, but we ended up getting food poisoning from eating here and we had booked a table and when we turned up they weren’t even aware that we had booked.

Takeaway order - bland as anything, may as well be eating baby food. Insisted the Korma we were given, was the Butter Chicken we actually ordered. No apologies or discussion - just blatant lying. Not returning to say the least

Been going for couple years and always great food and staff always welcoming. Owner continues to invest in the restaurant and enjoyable to see the changes.

Love the food here, service always attentive, it’s great you can bring your own alcohol, soft drinks available to buy; great atmosphere, a hidden gem. We love the pistachio chicken korma! We will be back soon

We absolutely love everything about Yateley Spice. The team are so accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. The food is fabulous and reasonably priced. We recommend to all our friends

Have now visited a few times and keep trying different dishes, every one has been fantastic. Family of five and has become our favourite place to visit. The staff are all so friendly and you would be hard pushed to better the food.

Fast delivery……… but the tikka massala was watery with no flavour the nann wasn’t hot ….. but reasonable priced

Had a lovely meal with excellent friendly service, will definitely be coming back. Our starters were chicken tikka and prawn purée. Followed by mains of Korai chicken Tikka, Chicken Madras with mushroom rice, garlic naan and sag aloo. The meals were absolutely delicious and the service was perfect. They only serve soft drinks, however you are welcome to bring your own alcohol which was no problem. Took our own wine. Highly recommended for good food and excellent frindly service

Gorgeous food with great service! We were a big group of 10 and all the dishes were amazing. We had a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian. Great value for money. You take your own drink too!

Friday night take out, second time ordering from these guys and they are our new first choice. Food was hot, tasty and everyone enjoyed their meal. Not oily in any way like some take out curries.Quality of lamb/chicken was very very good. Would definitely recommend.

Great food and service. Bringing your own drink is no chore as the staff are all to pleased to accommodate with openers and glasses.

Great food, attentive service and really friendly team. They don't sell alcohol (they do sell soft drinks) but you can bring your own or buy from several shops nearby. This makes a great meal much cheaper and it is much easier to split at the end if some of the table aren't drinking. They will happily provide pint/wine glasses and ice. Highly recommended...

We had a delivery this evening and the food was exceptional. They always deliver on time and the online ordering process is superb. Every meal from this restaurant is top quality.

Took some friends out, staff and food great. Been before and will go again. Downside, have to take own alcohol, not so much a chore though. The feast night is good value.

Made my order and it was accepted and then get a phone call saying they decided to close early at 9:00!!! Even though they are open untill 10:30. How do I know when to order as they might decide to close again early

Walked in late evening to a lively, full restaurant brimming with life and atmosphere and was given a table quickly with the food following shortly thereafter! Food was as fantastic as the service and I’ll defo come back again! 🙌

Best Indian restaurant I’ve been too! I’m from Yateley but live up north now and the food down here is much better. A quiet little place that’s really friendly with great staff!! Food was incredible and I’d deffo come back down for another visit here!

A friend recommended Yateley Spice, so I decided to give them a try. So glad that I did, the service was relaxed and friendly. As for the food….cannot praise it enough. Could not fault a single thing. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent food, and fast first class service. The restaurant is impeccably clean and there is ample free parking outside at the front and rear. The popadoms are something else, the best I have ever tasted. The staff are also so hospitable and friendly. My wife and I will certainly be returning in the near future.

Trust me when I say this is the go to curry house in the area! Chicken dhansak always!! Soft juicy chicken, flavourful sweet and saucy lentils. Enough to make a grown man cry, it was so good I had to phone up and let them know how I felt. More meat then Lana Rhodes 10/10 -

We booked late and they fitted us in no problem, it was very busy but the service was all done in good time and the food was lovely! We will be going back again soon.

Worst curry I've had in a long time. Chicken dry and tough, sauce bland and flavourless. Allegedly it was a jalfrezi.....we won't be ordering again

We were welcomed by smiling and helpful staff, always a great way to begin a visit. We had plenty to choose from on the menu and when we ate our various meals, we all said how nice they tasted. We will certainly be heading back another time. The meal was fantastic value. Loads of parking available.

Recently the team at Yateley Spice provided the catering for a party I had at home and did a fantastic job! From working through a menu with the manager, Titu, to having it delivered on time, in serving dishes and hot, with an additional warming plate, the service was excellent! And there were plenty of comments on how delicious the food was. I have had take-aways and eaten in the restaurant, so knew the food was good, but even with the larger amounts supplied, none of the taste or quality was lost. Thank you to all the team.

2nd visit last night for the regular gathering of best friends. We used to go to another restaurant but one of the guys mentioned this place so we tried it and wow, the food is amazing! It’s a real hidden gem. Take your own alcohol if that’s your thing as they don’t sell it here but the food is top notch quality 😋

Amazing food fresh good flavours highly recommended

This was our second time visiting and both have been fantastic! The menu has plenty of choice, but isn't overwhelmingly big and the food is so delicious! The staff are also lovely and have a spacious and clean restaurant, with a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This was the 2nd visit for us to Yately Spice & it was even better than the 1st. We have always tried something new & not one of our group has ever had something they dont like. The staff couldn't do enough for you & make you feel incredibly welcome. Highly recommend!

Disappointed Order was wrong and the chicken was dry and tough also only warm, not hot, 3rd time for box deals and we've eaten in the restaurant but this is the first meal I thought urgh, will think again next time as we have an Indian 200 yds from our house and although more expensive atleast it's tasty. If your box meals aren't important then stop doing them, don't serve substandard food

Fantastic food. Plentiful, hot, with bags of taste and served by engaging staff. Having tried a few other curry’s in Yateley, this one tops the lot.
