Well stocked deli, located close to the ferry, and full of interesting, and very enjoyable produce. We can definitely recommend the quality wholemeal bread, as well as the pastries and particularly the cheesecake, and the delicious range of Pork pies. We loved the shop, and the staff were helpful - great customer service.

Spend a lot of money in this place buying takeaway coffees and I mean probably £100-£200 a month. A few times I've arrived there 530ish and told coffee machines been cleaned sorry. I mentioned this to the owner when I saw him in Yarmouth. He obviously didn't communicate this to his staff. If the place is open until 6 the coffee machine should be turned off and cleaned at 6 not before. I used to be in the restaurant business and our coffee machine was switched off and cleaned when the last customer left!

This is open until 8pm on at least some nights. Impulse visit as window display tempting. Treacle tart and cheese scone delicious. Staff member welcoming and chatty. Everything looks really clean and well set out. Unusual cakes e.g. pina colada meringue pie (I might try this next time!). I visited around 6.40 pm. Plans for meat and fish counter - staff member was talking about upcoming training for this. A place for treats rather than regular shopping, I think. Vegetables looked nice and fresh.

I appreciate the deli is under new ownership so the previously rated poor reviews are not relevant, but.... I popped in there and bought an expensive wrapped loaf of bread only to find once I had got home that it was a day out of date. It was not marked as such and it was not mentioned at the till. Too far to walk back over with it so it was thrown away as it was too stale to eat. As the new management are promoting the shop as a high quality establishment they need to improve their stock control and customer care. Unfortunately they have now lost a local and regular customer.

My 6 yr old son was next to me ask if he could get some strawberry and raspberry that was in front of us for snack later. I said yes of course and I told him to pick it up because my hands were full. As soon as he was about to pick it up. A male staff told him dont touch it unless you have the money to pay for it. I told him its OK I am paying for them. Then he went oh ok then. No apology. The shop is very small and my son was picking the plastic box of berries very carefully, as you would with fresh berries . Other customs pick up other veg with bare hand with no covering on the fruit and veg was not greeted this way. The staff touch card machine and carry on touch ready premade food with no glove or washing hands. None of the staff had face mask on with fresh pre mix salad all displayed with no covering in front of them. But as soon as anyone pick up a plastic box of berries you WILL be questioned if you have MONEY to pay for them before even looking at them. Bare in mind I am chinese and most of the customers that went in are all middle age or older white people. I don't know if that made a difference but it look very uncomfortable for me as a consumer. Most people brought coffee or a pastry but i was brought over 15 products from that place. I wish I never went there and I will never go there again. The selection of food was poor to. There is a better selection across the road in the mini maet that sold everything you need and so much better customer service. I went to the mini mart after I lifted this deli place I should of gone there first. Dont waste your money like I did. Another option is to go to the cafe by the pier, the staff there are so Nice and you get a better selection than the deli.

I visited this delicatessen whilst waiting for our ferry, I was rather taken aback by the manner in which I was spoken to by a young man behind the counter, he asked me not to touch the counter (no issue with this) however it was the time used and he openly admitted to “telling me off” the chap then proceeded to ignore me and serve the person behind me, when i questioned why he had bypassed me he proceeded to say he had already started serving the people behind and asked someone else to serve me. It was embarrassing to the point that the family behind actually pointed out to the server that they had que jumper as they felt bad. I think maybe attending a communication/customer service course may benefit this young man and develop his people skills

We use to use this place quite a bit , but because my partner had the nerve to ask for lids to go on the takeaway coffee's the middle aged lady serving developed an attitude & thrust the money back at her ,it might have been a better idea to advise that they didn't have any lids before making the coffee considering they were take away only . ftao of the middle aged woman serving at the Yarmouth Deli - I recommend a career change. ftao of anyone looking for something to eat in Yarmouth. If you enjoy service with attitude and being treated with utter disdain then this is the place for you!! Our experience left a nasty stain on our memories of what would otherwise have been a pleasant walk around a delightful town. Firstly, my 80 year old mother in law asked very politely for the price of a crab sandwich. The reply was a finger, silently pointed at the chalk board behind the counter, how rude - one customer down. I then asked for 2 cornish pasties which were hurriedly bagged up and I was immediately told to come to the till. I hadn't finished my order though and I had the temerity to ask for something else - maybe you can imagine how that went down. I asked for another flavour pasty which was taken from a tray on the back counter, as opposed to the hot cabinet where the other pasties were. I asked if this pasty was hot as that it how I'd like it, to be told that it was baked in an oven (really! but how long ago I thought). She then patted the bag vigourously and invited me to feel it to check the temperature! I resisted telling her where to shove her pasties and instead invited her to keep them for the next lucky customer. Slightly shell shocked we moved on and had a very pleasant lunch at the Gossips Cafe. The following day, on our journey home, we bought sandwiches from the ferry terminal, made by the local bakery, Grace's, and they were absolutely some of the best 'pre-packed' sandwiches we'd ever had and served by very pleasant 'ferry' staff. We'd recommend the ferry terminal over Yarmouth deli any day!! The end.

We visited in late August to pick up some lunch. I can not complain about the food. Although a little expensive the quality was very good. We ordered a selection of sandwiches, rolls, pasties and drinks. Our visit however was spoiled due to the hostility and rudeness of the older lady who served us. Her attitude made us feel that we were simply an inconvenience to have in the shop. Her unwelcoming and abrupt manner were quite shocking and ensured that we would never return to this shop.

Nothing but the best here - and lots of it.The selection of Deli stuff is excellent - from cheeses to cold cuts and sausages, a large range of home made stuff including - pork pies, thick pizza, croque monsieur, pan au chocolate, croissants. Artisan scotch eggs that look the size of a tennis ball. Breads, quality wines, and a great freezer full of ready to go meals - but not mass produced ready meals - these are the quality of home made style food.My son rates the steak pasty and Cornish pasties as the best he he has ever had - and they are extra large as well - a real feast of juicy fillings and crispy pastry. They cook their pastries fresh in a small oven so they are not left around for long to go soggy - it's unlikely that the hot stuff has been sitting for more than a few minutes at most which is why it always tastes so good I think. The French bread sandwiches are to die for - no skimping on the filling either - brimming with the finest quality produce and probably large enough to share between 2 if you are not starving. The best fresh ground coffee for miles around. This thriving local business set the bar very high and keeps it there - nothing but the finest.Excellent value for money - eat like a king for less than £5.

I went into Yarmouth Deli on 30th June 2019, with my brother. Although I didn’t realise it at the time, it was close to closing time. Nevertheless, the door was open and there was a customer inside. I wanted a pork pie and asked the member of staff if he would cut it in half for me. He said he wouldn’t do so and I would have to buy two pies. I really couldn’t believe it. Awful customer service. I was so annoyed by the attitude, I returned to the Deli shortly afterwards and asked to speak with the manager. To his credit, he did offer to half the pie, but by that time I had lost my desire to spend money in the shop. I have bought foodstuffs in the Deli many times in the past, but never again.

This is a pleasant enough deli - nice choices and all that - but the prices?? I believe that they think everyone who shops in Yarmouth must have a yacht in the harbour and can afford these prices. £2.50 for a small pork pie? How can they justify that? And the proprietor could do with a sharp injection of customer service! Such a misery! I've given it 3 stars purely down to the choice of food.

Years ago this place was wonderful. Selling coffee, a mess which you call pizza, with chicken bits on it, some cheese and several other things does not make this a deli.out of season or not, poor stock, no nice fresh easy meals to pop in the oven, with good ingredients, if you are on a break self catering this is a god send. All items are over priced, service poor, stand and wait, no orderly queue, one of those if your face fits.Could be so wonderful, but if you have never been anywhere but Yarmouth you will never know. Easy money for owner, no competition, complacent.

This place has some lovely products. However it is way overpriced. I suppose they can do this because they are a little unusual on the island (though not off it) and perhaps their costs are a little higher because a deli is not so common on the island. So, nice, but expensive for what it is.

We were tempted by the gourmet crab sandwich for my in-laws (late 80s) who were with us on holiday though they are unable to eat brown/ granary bread. It seemed a genuinely simple, polite request - in many other places it has been - to substitute white bread for brown but the response was disappointing to say the least: undisguised irritation, consultation with someone behind the scenes before begrudgingly accepting the order. We should have just left and gone elsewhere. The sandwiches when they arrived were the thickest slices of bread we have ever seen in a sandwich although the amount of crab was generous and tasty. A challenge to eat and also expensive at £7.95 each. We would hesitate to return based on that initial response. Disappointing.

Visited a couple of times during our stay in Yarmouth. Great fresh bread and pastries every day and a good selection of local produce. Possibly slightly on the pricey side of things, but to be expected for the quality.Staff were very friendly on each occasion we visited.

A special little deli in Yarmouth catering for things from the less followed path. Great bread and a few cakes, coffee, cheese, island produce etc. Good for a quick takeaway.

Although a touch expensive for a daily croissant, this place is a gem.....a huge pizza was being sold by the slice and was exceptional....they even took overnight care of a much loved cuddly penguin accidentally left on a shelf by an 8 year old !

I use this deli in high and low season. Never get bored, never been dissapointed. Always a pleasure and a treat to eat here, I cannot fault in any way. Please keep up giving us this oasis of choice and expertly cooked treats.

We have been using the Yarmouth deli for many years and have enjoyed its produce. Sadly, we went in a few weeks ago and were treated extremely rudely by the staff... Well, more accurately, one of the staff (a older blonde lady - most of the younger staff appeared very embarrassed by her behaviour). Assuming this to be a "one off" we again ventured into the shop today only to be stunned by the incredible rudeness of this same lady who spoke to us with an off hand, hectoring tone, and made it clear we were an inconvenience in 'her' shop. Asking around we found out that this is the norm from this lady. It is unlikely that I will ever use the shop again and will do all I can to make my friends aware of her unpleasantness.

Grubs up!. Great selection of snacks, foods, wine and port from here. We bought 4 cheeses including 2 local Isle of Wight Cheeses one of which has won the best cheese in England award!!.Some delicious LVB port and some Pinot Noir. A fiery Scotch egg which was fantastic and a Pork Wellington, yum yum. Some truffle crackers and Rhubarb fizzy drink. Service was excellent. Super deli, perfectly situated next to the George Hotel. Well done, and see you soon.

We enjoyed a visit to the botanical gardens & decided to stop in to their cafe /restaurant for a bite to eat I must say that the views were stunning looking out onto the gardens , we were lucky enough to get a table on the veranda where a local choir were singing & it made our day The food menu is quite limited but there were a nice selection of cakes available & lots of unusual teas too The food we did order was delicious .. but they were small portions for the price ( I must admit it was one our most expensive eats while on the isle of wight!) All in all a great setting to enjoy a cup of tea & drink but maybe wouldn’t go back for food

This is a great 'out of the way' place to stop and have a quick bite to eat or drink, the cafe is set in the grounds of the abbey and there is seating inside and out. A lovely location on any day. There is a small menu of food available. Plus homemade cakes and hot drinks

From the outset the bar staff were friendly and helpful and could not be faulted the food was exquisite and the portion sizes were just right , the value for money was spot on. The ambiance with the view over the Solent as the sun went down was captivating Thank you Seaview Hotel for a memorable evening
