This must be one of the friendliest pubs I have ever stepped inside, dog friendly with bowls and treats on offer, staff were excellent made us feel very welcome, even the customers were very helpful with giving me recommendations for a garage as my car developed a small issue on the way down, meals were spot on, very fresh, my partner commented on how nice the calamari tasted and not chewy like other places, the nacho bowl with pulled pork also very tasty, mains we opted for hunters chicken and Gregorys tagliatelle with lemon meringue and deep filled apple pie to finish, all very tasty and if your in the area well worth the stop

Exceptional food, service, and atmosphere. Honestly, I would eat here every day if I could. Fresh, high quality produce cooked to perfection and such a reasonable price. The service we received was so friendly and efficient, making the whole experience absolutely perfect. Loved it so much we went back the next day, hence so many food pics for just 2 people.

On holiday and this was the local pub, staff were friendly and made you feel welcome. The food was lovely and reasonably priced, nothing to dislike here. Had a quiz night and a band on, which we enjoyed and also very dog friendly. She had plenty of attention, also short walking distance from accommodation, but there was a car park opposite if driving.

The Vine Inn is my local pub, this was a lunchtime visit using a voucher from The Price is Wight, 2 courses for 3 people for a set price, it was very good value & the food was good quality as always, the staff too, both behind the bar & delivering food were very friendly. Definitely recommended.

Booked a table in advanced, was a very friendly greeting and seated straight away, being told what specials where on offer. Plently of choices of gluten free options for myself, choosing the large nachos to start and a chicken curry for mains. Kept the kids quiet with pizza and the cheesy pasta from the kids menu. Arrived quick and plently of. The dog was made a fuss of and given a treat with water also availble. Unfortunately was too full to try the chef's homemade brownie but will definetly make a trip back for it. Definetly worth a stopping by with the family

Staying at the local campsite we visited for our final night. I ordered what was advertised as Chicken and Chorizo pie which was in fact steak and mushroom, not a problem I like either or. The pie came out and while it was filled with steak it was dry and bland l, clearly been reheated multiple times. We also ordered the kids cheesy pasta, again bland and boring with zero taste. We also had a burger which was actually very nice as where the chips. Will not rush back. good point are the free boardgames on offer.

Service was what I would expect from a pub like restaurant. The atmosphere was also okay however the food was abysmal. I am writing this review months after going because I am still gobsmacked at the appaling meal I was served. I ordered a cheese and tomato pizza with garlic bread and yet they took something so beautifully simple and turned it into a weapon against my senses. The cheese and tomato pizza was quite literally that. It was a pre frozen base with slices of tomato and THEN a layer of rubbery cheese. I mean that is just wrong. Let alone the garlic bread. They would benefit highly from just cooking a frozen garlic bread from aldi as they've decided to use SLICED BREAD with garlic on. They are trying to be different to which they have succeeded but in all the wrong ways. PLEASE don't waste your money here as mine was wasted. I will forever deter anyone from this place if asked by friends or family. I think if a family member suggested this please I would have to never speak to them again. If I could give 0 stars. I would. The worst place I have ever had the displeasure of eating at.

I've had mixed reviews of the food here, and i thought it was time to try the food out . The service was good , the food came quickly but sadly was cold, the chicken was still hot but the vegetables were stone cold and so was the plate. That was disappointing. It was very tasty, and i was hungry so i didn't leave any behind . The staff behind the bar where shouting a lot to each other across the pub which wasn't pleasant. Not in an angry way but just very noisy and unnecessary. Which made the atmosphere not nice when trying to talk to friends . Food, good amount but sadly cold. Atmosphere not enjoyable for us sadly . Personally i will not be back again. The cold food put me off from returning .

Greeted with a warm welcome, explained what was available then shown to our table which we had reserved. Browsed menu then went onto bar to order our food. We ordered a stater each then the main meal and our drinks. Paid for our items and went and sat down. Starters arrived quickly and hot. Once cleared away our main meal arrived which was the Sunday roast with vegetables. All of which we would highly recommend as was very nice. Finished our meal and was offered the choice of desserts from the board, both options of hot and cold . what we had was lovely

Wonderful pub to go to, great welcome. We were on a weeks holiday and decided to visit this pub for a meal, as reviews were good. We were not disappointed, we all ordered different meals and all were great. The pie of the day was steak and ale and when it was served it was a large slice, full of meat and delicious. The greek pizza was again, large and one of the best I have had. The last meal was liver and bacon, again a great meal. We went back for Sunday lunch and enjoyed the same welcome and delicious meals. We chose one of each, although nicely presented, there wasn't much meat on either meal, there were also very few vegetables for two people, aside from the roast potatoes. Getting to The Vine by bus from our home in Wroxall is a bit of a chore. However, I'll make the effort once in a while because of their homemade pies. An observation, not a criticism, is I would like the option of mash instead of chips. I am rather a 'pie and mash' devotee myself. This time it was chicken and bacon and unusually, my wife had the same. Despite generally having a much smaller appetite and often opting for 'child meals' in pubs, she enjoyed it so much that she ate it all... though admittedly was slightly over-awed by the number of chips. If you like a pie... you need to put The Vine on your 'goto' list!

Horrendous food! Staff were incredibly nice and helpful but the food was honestly the worst we’ve had in a while. Everything was obviously frozen from the chips to the calamari. Pizza was raw on the bottom, and when asked to be cooked some more came back the exact same, halloumi was frozen and extremely salty, burgers were nothing special either. Waited 55 minutes as well for the food on a Friday night at 7:30, we don’t mind waiting of course but not for that quality of food and it wasn’t cheap either. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

The staff are amazing however the food was utterly awful. I ordered the chicken tikka masala which came and looked like it had been left in a slow cooker for 2 days. The chicken was bone dry and I couldn’t eat it. Chips were nice but you don’t pay £14 for them do you. Staff were brilliant, they replaced the meal but was still awfully dry so I left this second meal. They did ask for the third time whether I wanted another meal but by this point I had lost my appetite. We spent just close to £80 in there tonight and the food was overall disappointing. I ended up having to get crisps/snack from the premier in after have 6 spoonfuls of the curry. We may pop in for a drink but we definitely wouldn’t recommend the food.

The menu looks very enticing but sadly wasn’t the best - chicken was very dry on both meals and tasteless, as if it was re-heated. Staff were great about it, replaced one of the meals but sadly the replacement didn’t taste any better. Such a shame as it really let this place down. We did get offered a free desert to compensate us but sadly we didn’t fancy it. We would visit again but probably just for drinks.

Dog friendly, good food, guest ciders and Isle of Wight ales. What's not to like? 2024: Still very dog friendly. There is a garden out the back too. Food is fairly good and inexpensive. Gregory's tagliatelle was very rich and more than most people could eat, but tasty. At lunchtime the sausage sandwich was excellent. Homemade pies were huge and filled with beef. The pastry was a bit overcooked but not quite pickaxe territory. The fishcakes were OK but not Thai. Chips were excellent, everything was freshly cooked or prepared. Not a huge range of beers or ciders, Razorback or Green King IPA and Inches cider. Staff are warm and welcoming, very helpful too. Still a nice place to visit.
