Yans Express in York

Como alguien más mencionó, también hemos estado comiendo aquí de vez en cuando durante varios años y siempre encontramos la comida buena. La última vez la calidad había bajado un poco, pero esta vez, mucho. Para empezar, el arroz que nos dieron fue basmati - el arroz indio de grano largo - en lugar del arroz chino pegajoso de grano corto habitual. Toda la comida estaba muy sazonada con cinco especias chinas, un sabor que todavía persiste conmigo varias horas después, y no de una manera agradable. Mi chuleta de suey debería haber estado cargada con una variedad de verduras, pero en su lugar eran brotes de frijoles casi en su totalidad con unos pocos trozos flácidos que parecían recortes de cebolla de primavera, más unos tres palitos de zanahoria Julienne. Muy poco en el camino de cebolla, champiñones, pimientos, zanahorias o cualquier otra cosa que pudieran haber utilizado. El cerdo charsiu era bastante duro y difícil de masticar. El pollo agridulce de mi marido tenía trozos de zanahoria y cebolla que estaban prácticamente crudos. Me gustan las verduras todavía crujientes, pero probablemente solo se habían cocinado durante unos 30 segundos. Realmente no había mucho pollo y lo que había implicaba un montón de pequeños trozos de masa que probablemente no contenía ningún pollo en su interior. El pollo en sí casi parecía como si hubiera sido pre-cocido y luego calentado de nuevo, ya que parecía un poco cansado y seco. El arroz frito de mi marido era irreconocible como tal. Seguro que podríamos haberlo hecho mejor con un par de paquetes de arroz y una comida congelada de un supermercado. No volveremos a comer aquí. No tiene sentido tener una calificación de higiene de cinco estrellas si sirves comida que no es comestible.

Salt and pepper chicken and the udon is immaculate fast, tasty and incredible. The food came hot and the delivery driver was also nice.

Honestly the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had salt and pepper box I got men to have prawns ribs and chicken.. no prawns ribs battered for some strange reason..will never go again

Disgraceful personal hygiene. Disgusted that the people handling my food would have black filthy hands and nails and their clothes extremely visibly dirty. Shocking you serve food like that. The managers and kitchen staff are just as bad, shows their poor standard of cleanliness.

We have used Yans for many years and have NEVER had a bad meal so we were looking forward to our meal tonight.....from opening the cartons we knew it was different the rib sauce was watery and vinegary the sweet and sour prawns small with thick goey batter the char sui fry rice meat was inedible and the prawn crackers worse than we've bought in Tesco We did ring to ask if it was a different chef and did get a sorry but no explanation of why the meal was so bad

Pleasant staff, good speedy service, excellent food, varied menu (including vegetarian), reasonably priced (CASH ONLY), good sized portions, tastes great. We were VERY impressed with everything about Yan’s Express. Will definitely use them again. They deliver, or easy parking outside 😊👍.

We will not go anywhere else for chinese. The food tastes amazing always comes hot and the portions are big. Cannot praise them enough. Best chinese round york.

Lovely chinese. Very friendly service. Fast delivery. So consistently good, never had a bad experience. They always remember you and their delivery times are always quick. Just lovely !

Although not MY first choice takeaway, they are a close second :-) Lovely food and great for collection on way home from the pub! lol Friendly helpful staff, for those of us who don't always know the dishes!

Always use Yans I just ring up to order then collect 10 minutes later .Great food and excellent service

As a family we have been using yans for about two years and have never had a bad meal. Always good service great delivery and very friendly.

Awful food, the flavour didn't remotely come close to the description. The Cantonese style dish tasted like bad gravy and the satay dish was like garlic water! The chicken texture was enough to put us off meat for a while! Never again!
