Yanji Restaurant in Tower Hamlets

This is not a type of Restuarent u wanna order online. They are literally don’t care about online orders.. online customers have to wait hours and hours for receive their orders.

Food quality not great, lack of authenticity, meats were dry, vegetable starters were bland and portion size incredibly small. Very not Korean

Food was great and the portions were generous at a reasonable price. Really enjoyed the meal, service was good even though they were busy.

Amazing food, great service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend the chicken heart and pork belly skewers the marinade was top notch.

We've been here several times and it's always amazing!!! Chicken hearts are superb and mushrooms are excellent.

It was decent. Cold noodles lacked spice and flavour though. The bbq was fun and tasted lovely. Sho Eli I’d have known beef tendon and other offal could be so delicious.

It was interested meal I ever had, it was quite different experience as I ate bbq before. Clean and smart decoration, food was delicious! I would like to say, will back soon!

The restaurant is very clean and warm. The food is fresh and clean. We had beef and chicken barbecue.

Nice little restaurant. Its fun that you can cook your own meat on the bbq but its nothing special or amazing. If you like meat and bbq skewers cant go wrong here.

I walked past the restaurant a couple of times already and finally got the chance to try it out. Absolutely loved it. The waitress was very attentive and explained the food ordering process very well. The skewers arrived within no time and the coal fire of the barbecue was hot so they cooked very quickly. Absolutely loved the whole experience!!!

Love this place!! The bbq skrewers concept is really fun and the food is so interesting, with unexpected ingredients and fairly priced! Also the main dishes are delicious, a bit heavy on the stomach but worth a try!

We had a great evening at Yanji, the food was nice and felt genuine. You can grill the meat yourself at the table which is fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. However when it came to paying, I noticed the service charge was added on top of the bill, as is common in restaurants these days. I often ask staff in restaurants whether the service charge goes to them as tip - as it should do, that's what it's for. If they say no I ask them to take it off and opt to give them cash, because otherwise it goes straight into the pockets of their greedy bosses, or used to pay their wages which is 100% illegal. All service charge is optional and if you request it to be taken off the bill, that should be done without question. The staff at Yanji however said they didn't received this as their tips, and when I asked it to be taken off the bill seemed confused that this was an opinion, and said they couldn't take it off. It upsets me that people who work long hours in restaurants like this aren't allowed to receive the tips they rightfully deserve, and instead us customers just pay an extra fee on top of our bill! Unfair and not right. I won't be going there again, and I am going to write to the owners to complain.
