Place in a great location and spotless. Friendly staff great food served in timely manner. Good portion size. Great atmosphere. Turned up for a “pit” stop with around 20 other people.

I just wanted to give some feedback on our experience this evening in your establishment. We have in the past enjoyed eating with you but this time the whole experience was really below our expectations. We arrived and went to the bar where we stood unacknowledged for some time. Once the server eventually came over we were directed (not lead) to our table. The table at which we sat and waited and waited and waited at....the party next to us were lead to their table , drinks order and food order taken and yet we still waited....the lady who 'directed" us to our table looked at one point as if she was going to come over and actually smiled at us but still we waited..... Eventually my husband went and asked at the bar if we would have someone coming to serve us ... eventually our order was taken for two but roast Sunday lunches (we have had this before and really enjoyed it) The food that eventually arrived was average, the tiny roast potatoes, the dry veg ( yes we are vegan but really a little drizzle of olive oil instead of butter ?) the gravy was thin and tastes. Our waitress didn't ask if we wanted any condiments and when the obligatory question of "every thing ok?" Was asked we said that we weren't impressed and this was met with "thanks for your feedback" We went to pay and weren't even offered a discount. We are so disappointed! We live locally and are the kind of people who keep seasonal establishments going out of season. Unfortunately it's unlikely that we will eat with you again

We booked for a very early tea at 4pm. Two adults and a dog. There is an option on their website to select a dog suitable table. From the welcome through to the food and drink services the staff were fantastic. We have eaten here quite a few times over the years but more often in the great beer garden and outside space. Our order was taken promptly (they now take your order at the table which is much nicer dining experience). We ordered a starter and main courses both were served promptly and were very hot! I assume it was the landlady who was working tonight (she had her arm in a sling which didn’t appear to hamper her at all!) she ran a fantastic team who were in the main younger people. They are a credit to the pub and are very obviously well trained (often lacking in many other places). The food was very nice and we had a lovely time. We will be back. Thank you 😊

Enjoyed a nice evening meal during half term. Loads of choice. Good vegan options. Children’s meal nice as well. Has a playground outside which look good. Staff really friendly. Nice pub.

Our first visit to Nefyn and were recommended this pub for New Years Eve . Unfortunately it had been fully booked for 6 weeks! We came for drinks on 30th and back again on New Years Eve as atmosphere was so good! Friendly staff lovely modern decor and menu looked good . They had a singer who sang a great range of different songs . If you're visiting the area highly recommend this pub ..Great buzzy place .

We were very surprised once again with our meal, the staff were very helpful, we really fancied a festive meal but we knew we had to prebook. Lady behind the bar said let me just ask the chef, and we had a lovely turkey dinner and a Christmas pudding. Our family live in abersoch and it’s worth coming here a few times of the year. Pub looks very Christmasy and the warm cosy atmosphere makes it feel more like home. The food here is fantastic and never seems to disappoint us along with the staff.

We can for a birthday lunch and it Was a loverly lunchtime dinner all our meals were cooked loverly and service was polite and friendly made you feel wanted, have used this pub several times now.

Amazing lunch here. Just called in for a quick bite. Lovely sandwich, I ordered tuna melt. Beer great, Unicorn! Dad had a lovely BLT, great fresh bread. Fantastic service.

I’ve been coming to Y Bryncynan for many years and always had great food but last night barely scraped past a 1/5. With 9 of us eating despite ordering together the food came out sporadically with 15 minutes between first and last meal. The Gammon ordered with chips came out with egg and was singed with burnt edges all around. It was an overcooked pork steak - not gammon. Chips were overcooked, onion rings dark brown and soaked in fat. Hunter’s chicken was obviously a poor day of hunting. The Steak and Ale pie was with overdone and far too thick pastry. All in all not the standard I’ve enjoyed over the last many years. When I have feedback to waiting staff they were surprised but thanked me for being honest. If you are going to have a limited and simplified menu every dish should be very well prepared. None of the 9 dishes were. Disappointing. I’ll give it another chance in case this was an aberration but would not recommend anybody to attend on my say so.

Staying in Morfa Nefyn and looking for a place for dinner. This was very convenient but was also a Great place, with great food, and great staff!! Well done!

Fantastic early evening meal (Friday evening pie night with free drink). The food was excellent. The atmosphere was excellent. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive, actually went above and beyond for us. We will be back without a doubt (sadly, we have to wait until next April before we can return). Called in didn’t book but found a table, however the queues at the bar were long, people ordering drinks and food at the bar, surely with the prices they are charging for dishes £18+ you’d expect a waiter service! You even have to get your own cutlery, come on #robinsons this is not what you’re known for. So ate somewhere else, food might be good but at those prices I expect a personal service.

Decent food, lovely venue with playground but service was awful. Very easy to book your table online. Good menu. Food was decent, but the food was very slow. 4 kids waited nearly an hour for food. Starters came out in meantime. Surely the kids food could have come out sooner. No cleaning tissues with chicken wings and not one member of staff came over to see if all was OK or if we needed anything. However, lovely venue, good food. Service was awful

Lovely food great portions and friendly staff, not just your average pub food,very well cooked and nice fresh salads and veg.

The 2 stars are only for the staff. The menu is boring, with very limited vegetarian choice. The food is overpriced for what it is. It is badly presented and badly cooked. They couldn’t even produce good chips! Odd as there is section devoted to ‘Loaded Chips’ There’s no excuse for poor chips these days. No table service, just a very long cue at the bar. Shall not be going back or recommending!

Very disappointed, had steak and ale pie, pastry very hard and stale, filling dry and burnt on inside of pastry, struggled to cut through pie. Not reasonably priced. Won't be going back I'm afraid 😞

Great service and food; our waiter and manager were really friendly and food came out in great time. We had a 5 year old with us, so the colouring sheets and play area were a massive hit. Great birthday meal!

Amazing food, very clean restaurant, new management makes a difference. Came a few months ago wasn’t a great experience. But today was fantastic.

We were almost put off by a few recent reviews but I’m so glad we decided to come. Our food arrived within 30 minutes of arriving at the table and the food was delicious. 3 adults and 2 children and we all thoroughly enjoyed our home cooked meals. Good quality ingredients and very tasty. I’d definitely come again, and wish we’d come earlier in our stay. The children loved the play area too.

Great family pub, staff were great and went over a beyond even though it was very busy especially given that we had dietary requirements due to a serious allergy which they were great about! The pub itself is lovely inside and out with a large park which was great gor our young family! Will definetly visit again!

What a lovely spot to have some lunch with the family. We booked online for our party of 4 adults 3 children. The weather was perfect for the little ones to play outside before we were seated at our table. We had a warm welcome , and the food was gorgeous. All the adult had the roast dinner, the beef was to die for, so delicious. The kids meals were a good size and were definitely value for money. We highly recommend Y Bryncynan if you are visiting the area. They have very helpful staff that were more than happy to help us with where to go whilst we were here on holiday. See you again soon.

Arrived and got a table in the garden with lovely views. Have eaten and drank here before so gone to get the drinks and once poured I have gone to order the food to be told they don’t serve food to people sat outside which they previously have. Inside empty but all tables reserved so had no other options. Ridiculous way to throw away money and look after repeat customers. Apparently under new management they need to think what they are doing.

We had booked a table for 8 people online and when we arrived we were shown to our table, after ten mins of waiting we had to ask for menus and if we could order drinks. The place was fairly quiet for a Saturday night. We ordered some starters to share and our mains, the starters came after about twenty minutes which were tasty! We then had to wait nearly an hour and a half for our main courses…we had to ask several times for drinks in between and were told by different staff members our food was being plated up however it clearly wasn’t…we had small children in our group and had to feed them snacks we had in our bag due to the ridiculously long wait. We had asked to speak to the manager but apparently he was in the kitchen helping out and unable to come out to speak with us! Sadly, we have been visiting this pub for years however I won’t be returning any time soon.

Awful service. Been coming for years and would have always recommended it above other local pubs. Would now advise you to go to The Cliffs instead.

For many years this has been a good solid and consistent establishment, something has gone seriously wrong here. Booked a table with family for dinner, you now have to front up £25 deposit for four adults and a two year old….yes I get the no show issue but just take card details and deal with the exposure that way. We sat in the front area and were left for over 15 minutes with no service so we got drinks from the bar and sought out menus ( the pub was at best at 50% capacity). The menu an A4 paper was minimal with no starters, I asked where the normal menu was and was told that the previous management (who we had got to know) had all left and the chefs had walked out ! We ordered as best we could from a poor selection, the child’s chicken strips were so burnt you could not cut them with a knife let alone with a two year olds teeth. The steak and ale pie was dry and hard, not what had been enjoyed on many previous visits. Overall the place looked shabby, the table was clear but not clean, food debris and salt over it and the condiment receptacle half empty despite a reservation card placed on it so therefore cleared for occupancy. In an area with competition this place is failing to deliver, I am certainly reluctant to make the effort to go there again, despite supporting it for many, many years. It feels like they are taking the mickey and I for one will not accept that

What on earth has happened to this pub which was always so immaculate even at the end of the evening. It was absolutely filthy, toilets floors, dog bowls of water left everywhere by empty tables

Booked Sunday lunch here , I can’t understand why Mashed potato is an extra , Sunday lunch isn’t the same without mashed potatoes, it’s scandalous, it’s awful that they expect us to pay more when it’s traditionally part of a Sunday lunch. This really lets the place down , Will not return on principle.

Eat in this place lots! Food is always top notch, if I had to be picky I would say veg is 100s of meals I have had 99% of them are amazing! Tried most things on the menu. All cooked well, well presented by courteous staff. Heidi and Sam are great to deal with, when I sad about veg being overcooked our meals were raken away and replaced with the “perfect” meal! Folks that is how to deal with a problem! It’s a huge place staff are run off their feet some days! If you have to wait (which is never long let’s be honest!) if you don’t book surely you cannot moan there isn’t room for you! You are not that special and they are not performing miracles if they are fully booked by people who reserved their place, They deserve to be served before you! Keep up the good work guys! We all love it. Came in with a group of 14 in summer all meals were excellent!

First time here in a number of years, hadn't realised the pub has been "done up" from when it was our regular "Friday night " venue and very impressed with the refurbishment, the staff were very friendly and helpful, nice atmosphere and the food was excellent, perfect pint,"pie and chips" and good coffee on a cold winter's night!!
