Called here a numerous times after our Shropshire holidays on the way back home, it was the end of our hols place to go for.. We won't be going back again food was quite cold and you seemed a problem to give you customer service with a smile.... It has now changed to Dobbies Garden centre.

A quick lunch at Dobbies (formerly Wyevale) for six was not a wise choice and for many reasons. 1) We were sat across two tables and told not to push them together after some vague covid excuse. 2) There were dogs in the restaurant, despite not being allowed. 3) The food was barely edible... I had a ploughman's which consisted of a couple of chunks of cheese, a dubious looking roll, a few slices of old ham, two sticks of celery (no other salad), a pickled egg, two pickled onions and some pickle from a jar. Apparently the promised pork pie wasn't available as they were still frozen!!!! Who on earth freezes a pork pie??? My better half had an egg sandwich with stale bread and chips which smelt of old oil and a texture of cardboard. The other dishes across our tables were equally poor - with one having fish in soggy batter and another having a Sunday roast which looked as if it had been cooked for school dinner by a disillusioned PE teacher. Probably best to try the McDonalds over the road.

Sat here in Dobbies for a light lunch. Slow service, both items that are on the menu that I ordered are not available. Despite a sign saying "please do not bring your dogs into the restaurant " we saw 3 dogs come in whilst we were eating (not service dogs). Staff seem to be lacklustre, just doing their job.

Such a shame Wyevale sold out. Dobbies seem even more expensive with less choice. I now travel to better value independent garden centres.

Now called Dobbies not Wyevale! Appalling service. Ordered breakfasts for 5 people one of which was gluten free (due to chronic disease not a fad!). Breakfasts came quickly but it was obvious the gluten free one was the same as the rest and the toast we’d paid for and ordered was also missing. We informed the staff of these errors and got little more than a feeble apology. The gluten free breakfast arrived but no sign of any toast! We raised this issue again and got our toast eventually having finished our breakfasts, not good at all. Nobody came to voice concern but we managed to obtain a refund for the gluten free breakfast and toast after my husband asked for it at the till! Will not be returning to this place!

Having had no lunch, we decided to end our visit to the garden centre with coffee and a cake. We settled in the dog friendly seating area with our old Dachshund and looked at the menu. "Afternoon tea for 2 inc drinks + refills" seemed decent value for money @ £14. We weren't disappointed ... first class throughout. Lovely fresh sandwiches, delicious cakes and coffee strong enough to launch a satellite into space! Further shout out to the centre staff. A bloke called Clive in the outdoor plant area for advising us on how and when to buy bedding plants (he actually said NOT buy any that day, rather than to wait a week or 2 and come back rather than risk losing them this early in the season. The ladies in the pet dept. The staff of the restaurant. The lady on the till. It's so nice to find a place / people who are doing their utmost to please customers and promote their brand :)

Went to wyevale for lunch with family. Arrived at around 1:30 to be told they had run out of jacket potatoes and the wait on food was around 25 minutes. It was not particularly busy, quite a few tables free but all needed clearing. One staff member cleared half a table for us and then did not return to clean the rest of it, so had to ask for it to be cleaned. Not great service all round as my mum had to queue for around 10 minutes, with one person in front of her due to staff not being present at the till. 3 paninis arrived after 20 minutes, they were good, but not worth the overall wait.

Always reliable hot drinks. Friendly staff especially Sue who served up the meals. Maybe some of the younger staff could learn from her friendly smiling attitude. It's good the tables are regularly cleared. Nothing worse than walking into a restaurant and dirty cups sat on empty tables.

Visited for tea with Santa on 18 Dec with my two grandchildren. What an amazing experience they had. This is our fourth year we previously brought our granddaughters but they are now too old. I must say that on every visit everything was so well organized from the time we arrived to the time we left. Staff were friendly, food lovely and Santa and his helpers brilliant with the children. Would highly recommend a visit next year. Don' t change anything. Thank you Wyevale.

This is a lovely garden centre with a few extras to other garden centres. As well as plants it has s large pet shop, a fish and pond shop, It has three different clothing outlets and a camping style shop, lots of nice indoor household bits, a really lovely ( but not cheap) cafe, a young kids play area and next door an organic food shop. Well worth a visit

This garden centre has one of the best pet shops I have ever known. They hold a puppy play session every Saturdaymorning. 9:30-10:30. It’s very well attended. However after having a lovely socialising hour a cup of tea or coffee would go down a treat but NO! There isn’t an area in the garden centre where you can sit with your dog and enjoy some refreshments. You can walk through the garden centre with your dog where the lovely staff are very friendly and always show keen interest in the puppies but there isn’t a sectioned area where we can sit with our puppies to have a drink. Very poorly thought out! There were about 16 adults there who would have appreciated a drink and something to eat which would bring good revenue to the cafe but no just narrow mindedness and very unfriendly to dog owners. Will only shop in the pet store from now on. There are other garden centres where we are made welcome.

Just back from lunch in restaurant started badly as everything we asked for they had run out of! Was told the only sandwiches they had were the few made up, but in a cabinet with items salad, prawns etc.which they could make up into others? Decided to go for soup and cheese scone, no scones! So soup and bread just under 5 pounds? Went to pay was asked if we told the wait would be a while for food as no staff should be 9 staff apparently only 3 on? Not sure we should be subjected to this information? So to get out bowl of soup could take at least 15 to 20 mins? Have two coffees, total price 15.70! Thinking ok the soup will be good, arrived after around 10 mins in a small bowl and soup not to top of this small bowl! And 4 halves of bread, more bread than soup! Not over warm, but very spicey tasty soup, bit noisey but quite a few people in, think prices a bit over the top you can get two mains for this kind of money in many places, love coming to wyevale but not sure i would eat in restaurant too often!

Had a midday snack of sandwiches and coffee. Beautiful fresh, wholesome bread for the sandwiches which were served with a fresh side salad and coleslaw. Latte coffee to wash it all down with was tasty and a regular cup serving was sufficient. Great food but be prepared to pay more than at a normal food outlet.

Lovely place to go for lunch and be able to take your pooch. They now have a special area at the end of the restaurant. Cordoned off especially so you can take your dog. Dog biscuits, water bowls and dog beds provided. So it is nice that you don't have to sit outside in all weathers to have your lunch. All restaurants Nd cafes should take note.

My Husband and I went for lunch today to save cooking as we often do in other centres of the same group. The choices were limited, specials boards didnt seem to apply so we chose the chicken and mushroom pie. We could not believe how small the portions were, small square of pie a few peas and one scoop of mash. It was ok but so little of it. I know that at the moment OAP's get it for two for £12 but even with that we felt ripped off. Why do all the Gardening Clubs centres not have the same standards in the restaurant's? We will not be repeating the experience. One good point was the staff.

I genuinely go to Wyvale because they have a play area for my daughter. It is only small but she still enjoys it. I also get to pick up some free boxes which is a great help for me and I think that is good customer service from them. The place is always clean and tidy, the staff are always friendly and helpful though when paying it is always slow. I would recommend this place for a browse around, coffee and lunch for the older generation.

Went for the breakfast offer before travelling to the north of England, thinking this would set us up. Mm. We saved 50p each on the meal offer! The portions were very small. Neither of us are big eaters and are both fairly skinny but there was certainly no danger of us putting any weight on with these portions - they were small even for us. Other garden centres in the area give much better value in their restaurants/cafes and usually include a hot drink in their offers which Wyevale didn't; so we are unlikely to eat here again.

Service was fine although we did need to ask for our bottles to be opened with a bottle opener after paying. Good selection of food and drinks, hot and cold, alcoholic and non alcoholic and a fab selection of cakes too! I had a glass bottle of pepsi and a slice of victoria sponge - it was delicious! Others had, chips, a toastie and a soup of the day which all looked delicious too and was enjoyed by all! I would recommend and would definitely visit again.

I first visited this restaurant in September and had a lovely meal no complaints, I’ve since visited twice more, in early October, I visited again., I ordered a meal again and asked for a rump steak medium, when it arrived, it was rare, I left the table and quietly went up to tell the waitress that it wasn’t as I had ordered, she apologised and 10 minutes later my steak arrived back, it was inedible !! I called in tonight for a drink, & the chef’s wife asked if she could have a quiet word with me round the corner, - She told me in no uncertain terms that I was not welcome, & I would never be served again. I asked why, she told me that I’d complained before about the meal, and that I had gone into the bar afterwards and told everyone about the awful meal I had had. This was a downright lie as I am not that kind of person. It’s a sad time if a restaurant cannot take any criticism without banning someone for complaining.
