The days when this pub opened as often as this website suggests are long gone. It's a part time pub; the opening hours are on a board but not complete, but presumably known to those who are regular drinkers there.

How did no-one think to put that in their review. We had a wasted journey but are only staying half a mile away lol. Also we saw photos of a car park but that no longer exists.

Popped in last night for a meal and was delighted. Above average pub grub, good portions, friendly staff and the Antipasto sharer was amazing. The pub has changed hands in the last year and is now much more a good village pub. Thoroughly recommend if in the area. Well worth a short detour off the A303/ A358.

Booked for lunch to meet family whilst we were travelling through. It was a Monday and other places were closed so our choice was made by fate and we were very pleased it was. The food was generally homemade and delicious with a lovely side salad and all served on a plate and not a breadboard or piece of slate (a personal bugbare of mine lol) and all at a very reasonable price. The landlord was attentive and wonderfully friendly. A lovely clean little country pub and real gem. Definitely worth taking a look

Stopped at The Wyndham Arms randomly whilst driving through the village. We were immediately made to feel very welcome and comfortable by the friendly landlord. The lunch that we ordered was well cooked, with good sized portions and very reasonably priced. The drinks were not expensive either. We are looking forward to making a return visit when next in the area and have added the Wyndham Arms to our list of good pubs to visit. Would not hesitate to recommend it and wish it continued success.

Great lunch, nicely cooked & presented. We went for the set 3 course meal, with broccoli & stilton soup followed by scampi, chips & peas & ham egg & chips. Could have had ice cream but too full! Relatively busy for a Thursday lunchtime.

I visited this pub with 3 friends a few days ago. The landlord was most welcoming and attentive and the food choice good. However at the low prices being charged we wondered if it would be poor quality. But no, it was all properly cooked and wholesome. Extremely impressed.

I booked by phone having seen the good reviews on tripadvisor and the owner offered to open up slightly early as my party was anxious to get to an afternoon cricket match after having lunch. The food was excellent, good quantity and very economical. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and the pub a delight. I will certainly go there again as it is also only a few minutes detour from the main routes. Can thoroughly recommend it.

Living in the village the pub is an essential part of village life for us. Luckily for us Erryl and Theresa are great hosts. We visit once or twice a week, normally for lunch and always take visiting friends there. The ales are very well kept and Theresa is an extremely fine cook, on top of a solid pub menu (the omelettes are super fluffy) there are usually daily specials. The locals are very welcoming and there is also a lively skittle scene during the season.

Popped into this pub for lunch whilst out with friends on a bell-ringing outing. I wondered if we had made a good choice when we first walked in as it was a little shabby and tired but this was soon forgotten when we were made very welcome by the friendly landlord. We were offered the standard menu and told that the lunch time special was broccoli and stilton soup with a baguette, three choices of mains, and a coffee or huge range of different flavoured ice-creams for pudding. £8.50 for 3 courses or £7 for two courses. I chose the soup and scampi, chips and peas. The soup was probably the best I have ever had in any pub anywhere and the scampi was excellent and plentiful. When paying the bill I asked the landlord to include my pint of lime and soda and also the same drink for my friend - total bill £8! If anyone knows of a pub anywhere which serves two courses of that quality together with 2 pints of soft drink for £8 then please let me know. The pub furnishings and fittings may be a little dated but it is clean, friendly and the food is just fantastic both for value and quality.Well done Wyndham Arms I hope you go from strength to strength, you deserve it.

Food hot and tasty served by lovely person. Good sized portions sensibly priced and a bottomless cup of coffee. Outside and in, the premises are tired and not attractive which is a pity as they do not live up to the food and service.

As the other reviewers have pointed out, this pub isn't all that special looking from outside. We'd booked a table for Sunday lunch & there were only 3 cars in the car park when we arrived which made us a bit wary of what to expect inside. The décor is nothing special either but we had a lovely friendly greeting from the landlord as soon as we walked in. I was disappointed that they had nothing other than Sunday lunch available (I suppose I should've checked in advance), but pleasantly surprised when the meals came out. The portions were generous but nicely presented, piping hot & everything was cooked to perfection. We all finished everything on our plates. Only two of us managed desserts & they were just as good. If you like plain good quality food with excellent service, this is the place to come. Hopefully we'll get a chance to visit here again on another day & try some of the other meals.

Not the most exciting looking pub inside or out but a very warm welcome from 'Mine Host' - everything a landlord should be - other publicans could learn a lot about how it should be done. And one of the best Ploughman's lunches I have ever had! Will definitely be back:)

Walking into the pub from the car park, it looked a bit "are you from round here?". We couldn't have been more wrong. The beer was well kept, the cider local and tasty. The food cheapyl and very nice (including a spicy chillis a well-cooked steak, and a tasty cider sauce). Puddings were also good value and yummy and we had very attentive service and extra drinks brought to our table. Apparently there is another Wyndham Arms in Kingsbury Episcopi, this is not the same one!

My mother who lives in the village took my husband and me to the Wyndham Arms for lunch last Sunday. I was expecting the usual "pile it high" Sunday lunch that is the norm for pubs round here but I couldn't have been more wrong. We all three opted for roast pork and it was delicious. Served with three sorts of vegetables, wonderfully crunchy roast potatoes, home made apple sauce and it's own boat of lovely gravy. Topped with a generous portion of melt in the mouth crackling and presented on the plate in a manner that would've done credit to an expensive restaurant. We followed lunch with sweets that we're equally delicious and beautifully presented (which in my book makes a huge contribution to my enjoyment of a meal).Sunday lunch is the only meal I have had in this pub, but my mother assures me that the food through the rest of the week is equal in quality. I would recommend anyone to try it, you won't be disappointed.

Booked for dinner but on arrival, they thought we had booked for buffet, fortunately they had a table for us within a short time so we had a pre-dinner drink in the bar, which is fabulous and then went for a lovely meal in the Bistro, it is a small and intimate restaurant and quite modern and food is served on hot rocks, which you cook yourself to your own taste. Nice concept and food was really lovely BUT find that it gets pretty smoky when it is very busy. This is not a unique concept to us and it was a very nice change. Service was attentive and good and wine selection is great. Little pub at the Langport Arms is friendly and wonderful for pre or post drinks too.

What a delightful place to stay at. We stayed for a couple of nights to visit the surrounding area and had the friendliest welcome and comfortable stay. James, the waiter in the evening, was a credit to them. He helped you choose what to eat and was attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding, especially the fish dishes. The breakfast was the best we have ever had and was cooked to order with local produce. Cannot wait to return.
