Had lunch here with some friends. Food is very over priced and scarce. Worst of all is the staff attitude however. They were very curt, unfriendly unwelcoming. Once we had finished, they did bother asking if everything was ok or if we wanted anything else. Appeared to just want us to pay up and leave! It really was very disappointing for us all and I will not be visiting again. Customer service needs a vast improvement and food needs to be more value for money.

After several visits to this hidden gem, we can honestly say that it’s our very favourite of tearooms. Step back in time and experience the owner’s flair in capturing the atmosphere of a bygone age. We have always found the tasty homemade food to be of excellent value….the service is exceptional. Thank you.

What a find... Beautiful eclectic tea room, definitely worth a visit. The home made soup was divine, none of this out of a packet and put in the microwave rubbish, it was good old fashioned pure broth with chicken and veggies. Lovely atmosphere will definitely visit again.

Wylies is a lovely hidden gem tucked away just off the Market Square, I would urge visitor and locals to use and enjoy this old fashion Tea room before we loose it to the big corporate coffee shops. The moment you walk through the door you are welcomed by the fresh baked smell of scones, which i thoroughly enjoyed. Great atmosphere and you get a full pot of tea. The owner has put her heart and sole into this place and deserves to reap the rewards of her efforts.

Wow what a super discovery! Just popped into Warwick for a quick coffee & managed to park on the side of the road on market place in front of an alleyway & noticed the sign for Wylies tearooms. Not quite sure what to expect as the building to the left of the alley looked awful with its windows covered over & was clearly unoccupied.I thought I’d take a chance & wandered down to Wylies. Lovely surprise when I walked through the door just like stepping back in time so much to take in & memories came flooding back of spending time at my grandmother’s house . On the sideboard we’re a selection of delicious home made cakes just the thing to go with my coffee. The waitress came to take our order we ended up having a pot of tea & home made cauliflower cheese soup with home made cheese scone & a miners lunch (based on a ploughman’s) with home made cheese scone couldn’t resist the cakes so had a slice of tea loaf with butter after. The atmosphere was very cozy & welcoming ,home cooked food delicious , very reasonably priced.Lovely little shop in the end room where we went to pay selling gifts & old fashioned sweets. An absolute must for the tourist trail .Just a short walk to tourist attractions Warwick castle, lord Leicester hospital, market square , museum to name just a few.

Lovely Staff but sadly today the food was lacking which was a shame. Over cooked eggs and reheated luke warm bacon/sausages. Coffee was also not the hottest. What a great find. Wylie's is down an alley off the main street. When you get inside it's like stepping back in time. There are two rooms to sit in and the decor in both is lovely. We had soup (delicious), a lovely fluffy omelette and an amazing sausage roll. The staff are very welcoming and after a little mix up with my order they brought me a cheese scone to compensate which was mmmm very tasty. There's a little shop at the back where you can buy cute little items. It's a definite thumbs up from us and we will definitely return. Oh, the toilet is cute too. You'll know what I mean!

The Blacksmith’s lunch was amazing. I opted for the cheese which included two large wedges whilst my partner chose the pork pie option. Tea was served in a china teapot along with a china cup & saucer. Our lunch was followed up with a large slice of carrot cake. When you pay the bill you are taken into a delightful shop selling traditional sweets and bygone gifts. We will definitely return, especially nearer Christmas when the shop will be selling stocking fillers in told. It’s a little difficult to find as it’s up an alleyway but look in the centre of the square for the overhead sign.

I arrived here today, heavily pregnant, with my Husband and young daughter in hopes of a nice lunch as I’d been before and thought the food was quite good. Unfortunately we were ‘greeted’ at the door by an extremely rude woman who just said they “don’t take buggys”. No offer to accommodate us in any way whatsoever. My daughters compact pushchair could easily have been folded flat, not that this woman could have cared less. I told her that I had been before and she then tried to tell me that I hadn’t as they’d been there for 18 years and “don’t take buggys”. Aghast we went to have lunch elsewhere (the Rose and Crown, nice sandwich and a warm welcome) I sincerely hope this woman is not allowed front of house again or at the very least receives some comprehensive customer service training.

My daughter works in Warwick and we decided to have a light lunch at Wylies. You get to it down an alley and when you enter it's like going back in time. Just like Grandma's parlour with old radio programme signature tunes playing. Really nice atmosphere which is complimented by excellent service by the welcoming ladies who run the place. I had a bacon and egg sandwich in granary bread and a mug of Yorkshire Tea. The sarnie was first class and the tea as Yorkshire should be. The sort of place that combines atmosphere with service. Pop into Warwick and down a little alley opposite the museum is Wylies. It's so 1920s, like someones parlour, oilcloth on tables, flagstone floors and a sweetshop that sells all the things you remember. Settle down with an afternoon tea, a full breakfast or a cake and enjoy the wartime themed music, or have a lovely cheese scone with horlicks! A delightful place, but be sensible, if you come with a walking aid, as my husband does, a wheelchair or a pushchair they will not be able to accommodate it, its not possible without causing a hazard. The little courtyard outside is secluded and quite secure enough to leave stuff there and you can keep your eye on it through the window.

This little tea room is hidden down an alley and having been here before sometime ago thought it would make nice change. It's very quaint, snug in two rooms with decorations, pictures ornaments everywhere. The staff were pleasant but the teenagers were slightly irritating with their over use of the word like.My friend ordered soup and I had a jacket potato with tuna. We opted for a cafetière for two. The cups came and were stained, not very impressed. My side salad was dirty and the potato not cooked through so not pleasant to eat. My friend enjoyed the soup. The coffee was strong and unpleasant nice choice of hot, cold or cream. When we were going out we found they only take cash, it was on the entrance door but can't say I noticed, my fault though. Tucked away down a tiny side street Wylie's isn't shabby chic or faux vintage, it is genuinely old, complete with original range, peeling paint and odd shaped rooms but what a find. The scones are fresh and light and the spicy Fat Falstaff was delicious. Better than average cakes and snacks and the buttered toast is a treat. Yes it's small, unsuitable for buggies etc, and the toilet is outside but the excellent service and a food hygiene score of 5 makes up for everything. With the theme to Dr. Finley's casebook and Steptoe and sons playing in the background, I loved it.

There is something of a fad for retro teashops at the moment & most are pretty inauthentic and/or camp/ironic. I have no idea of the history of this business, but it gives the feel of preserving a tradition rather than recreating one. The staff are most pleasant & the fare good value. Interesting location tucked away in an old yard off the main street

This is a superb little café hidden away down a little alleyway in the centre of Warwick. It is almost like being sat in someone's living room from the 40's/50's. The range of cakes was fantastic but unfortunately we were too full to try one.

Went today with a friend. Tea tasted more of limescale than tea. Scrambled eggs were made with far too much milk. Bacon seemed as if it had been partially cooked then completed as per order. Altogether a singularly unimpressive place. Score out of 10 = 3/10 (that was for the very nice waitress).

We were walking around Warwick and came across a sign up a narrow side street showing tea, coffee, cakes and lunches and what a gem we found. An old fashioned building divided into 3 sections, 2 rooms serving meals then a separate room with all home cakes, sweets and biscuits. The two ladies were very friendly and gave us a menu, we chose a cream tea and it was lovely. The scones were large and home made, cream, butter and jam, lovely pots of tea and the atmosphere was even better as the music being played in the back ground was of the fifties and certainly took me back in time. The price of the meals was very reasonable. Toilet is outside again old fashioned but clean. Certainly a unique and lovely experience and the other meals being served looked very good. Would definitely go back again.

Tucked away down a little alleyway we found this marvellous tea room. It was lovely to have a pot of tea and bone china cups. The scones were to die for, large and warm with butter, jam and cream, which was decorated with fresh strawberries. It made for a great wedding anniversary treat.

I am always drawn into the alleyway cafe as it seems so much more exciting (I am very rock and roll) so popped in here for a quick cuppa and cake.Very small, outside toilets and only takes cash but cute, reasonably priced and nice tea and cakes. Cute little sweet shop also just to add to your waistline on the way out.

I was taken by my daughter as I am not sure that i would ever have found this cafe down a little alley. Obviously many people do no of it and its reputation though. Lovely old fashioned place. All home made stuff including delightful cakes. little shop at the rear worth a visit. Go there.

This little tearoom is so cute and the shop sells a wonderful array of produce and gifts to take home.My friend is Gluten free and they accommodate that requirement too. Friendly ladies that bake cakes freshly on a daily bases, They offer huge pots of tea, which we love....none of those annoying one cup pots!!!.

Unfortunately we didn't even get through the door before we were abruptly turned away because we had a pushchair (even though it is a very small, compact one). Definitely not a friendly experience!

Always going here with my Mum! We love it the drinks are reasonably priced it's really cute the food is really good especially the scones (all kinds) and the shop is really good you can get great little gifts! Yes you can only pay by cash but it's a small tea room and card payments cost a lot so I don't mind if you forget they're usually quite happy for you to go get cash and go back and pay! Great little place love it!

What a lovely little cafe. We went for breakfast both days of our weekend stay and both days the staff were really friendly, the atmosphere inside was lovely and the food was cooked perfectly. Little gem on the locks.

This place is always hit and miss. At weekends the teenagers work there and their attitude is awful. A long haired chap today decided to be very rude when he got the order wrong and the laughed. Such a shame as their other venue the pump rooms is much better environment and customer service.

We rocked up with 2 large families with young children. The staff were very friendly. Most of us had hot chocolates, and they were probably the best tasting hot chocolates we've had in a long time. And very reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again and recommend.

Great selection of drinks, tasters of beers offered with out asking and then you can buy in 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, Pint or 2L. Great way to allow you to try several different beers. Excellent bar staff advising on what to try. Then drinks other than beer, Gins and Rum galore to chose from. Food was really good, good menu and Tuesday is 2for1 on amazing pizzas so we had to try 2 of those. Selection, atmosphere and especially staff really makes it really worth a visit.
