Excellent family business since 1976. Delicious choice of food and friendly service. You can buy your meal at the Calais Fish Bar to enjoy/eat at the Wyggeston Hotel/Pub/Sports Bar with your drink which does not serve food. (Also not a hotel for 50 years!). Has a beer garden too.

Overpriced soggy cold mini fish and chips and curry sauce missing. Kebab chewy, no salad. Came to £17 for 2 meals! Got a refund.

Some items were missing on my order but was charged.. Curry sauce lid was not on properly leaked everywhere.. Dont live locally can't find a contact number and chips not wrapped properly. Will r complaining

First visit to this Chippy for a long time. I paid £7.50 for a fish and small mushy peas. Sadly the peas were hard, not cooked and the batter on the fish was soggy. Also, the oil used must have been old or over used as it was reasty. It was expensive for something that was not at all pleasant.

Disgusting!!! My grated cheese was FULL of long, dark hairs, not one or two, but a lot, I messaged them and was ignored, unhygienic, vile and ignorant!! DO NOT GO!!

Batter great.. picture is what you get for £3 lunch. Unreal... Absolutely unreal. There is another chip shop on calais road, which boasts lots but undelivered in terms of batter quality, the peas were re heated and it was twice the price.

Recently brought fish and chips from this establishment after a busy day. Although we had to wait for the fish to be cooked, it was definitely worth the wait. Best fish I have tasted in a very long time.

Love this chippie the ladies and gent are so lovely and always do there best nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is delicious. Deffinatly good value for money

Came here and sat in for our dinner, it was very very nice. Had to wait ten minutes for my chicken nuggets, but it's ok as it shows they are fresh and haven't been sitting around. The Chips were very good as was the curry sauce, and the table we had was small and intimate, along with the radio they had in. Would recommend to anyone.

When I'm in Burton and fancy fish and chips or a kebab I always go to Wyggeston Fish Bar as I think they are the best in Burton, The staff are helpful and the large portion sizes are really good value for money . Top marks !,

My first week in Burton and this chip pie is like a stone throw away from my place. Limited veggie options. I ordered a veg spring roll which was very bland but the chips were amazing. The sheer quantity was humungous and tasted great too! Its always a fall back option.

my local , and I think it is one of the very best , it is always spotless and the owners and Staff are always very welcoming and friendly . Portions are enough to satisfy the hungriest of folks . choices are fab too . Call in and see for yourselves .

this chippy needs new blood they give out small portions when I went in I asked for fish and chips!! it was tadpole and very few chips poor,poor,poor, also it is not a restaurant
