Great Coffee, Tasty Toasties. With a bit of a wait. Wonderful setting, well laid out. I was served by Amy, a very polite young lady, and with a smile too. Best Costa in Burton.

Went for breakfast at Costas yesterday. The coffee was great as usual. Had a bacon roll, which was lovely, but sometimes they overcook, and the roll gets too hard and goes rather crispy as it cools down. Unfortunately, this was one of those occasions. Otherwise, I would have given 5* because I really do love Costas.

Did not go in as not dog friendly no seats outside sadly they lost a few customers and some were nursing empty mugs taking the seats up outside

Haven't been I'm a Costa in years. Much better out there, with much better ethics.

Chocolate cornflake was stale coffee was very bitter.😞

So only a four star based on location as it's on the busy bus town stop, can be very busy or not and that's fairly random, staff are great and fun and drinks are consistently good

C'mon Costa! The coffee shops are dull at best, dingey at worst. The food is unhealthy, unappetising and in the case of the cakes/biscuits, very poor quality. Dry brownies that cost how much? As for the drinks, I was put off buying a Kit Kat Hot chocolate as I saw someone else's before me - squirty cream just doesn't cut it any more. I'm trying to stay healthy at the moment so I bought a green tea which was ok but I know from experience that the other herbal/fruit teas in the (limited) range are actually sweetened with sugar and taste horrible. I have always preferred Costa but it's going downhill fast. New furniture, décor, lighting and above all, interesting, well-made food, cakes and biscuits are sorely needed. I hope they listen and do something soon, as there are lots of options if you want a coffee these days.

Go in every Sunday and always get served by Calum who is so lovely and welcoming. Food and drinks are always great (:

Small hot chocolate with cream & marshmallows 1 millionaire shortbread take away. (for my son just over 1/2 cup of chocolate then cream) £7.15 🥺 young man said "if I'd have gone to Starbucks it would have been more" like that I was getting a bargain. Won't be having another one.

Always the right place to stop for a coffee

Lovely, the woman behind the counter served me and even struck up a conversation instead of hurrying us along. 5 stars for her.

Coffee was good but today the queue was very slow. About 15 minutes before being served.

Ordered today. They did not have the food I ordered, so was called to say that they had swapped it - for an item that was cheaper (great!). When the order arrived (about 20 mins late) the food was missing, and was told that the delivery driver did not pick it up. Not sure how this would happen if the staff clearly communicated with the driver. No replacement food - nothing they could do. Now hungry and £30 down. I have met more competent 6 year olds.

Sat down but walked out. Wanted a bite to eat with a coffee but the fridge had barely anything in it.

My delivery didn't take place, this was no fault of Costa who were fabulous. The manager of Costa on daily basis loses money due to drivers who don't turn up. So this review has nothing to do with Costa who are a fabulous service. I ordered at 10.30am and I rang Costa at around 11.45 to see what happened with my delivery, Costa had made the drinks but no driver, the drove eventually turned up at 1.45 over 3 hours . I got delivered so many times on my app all through morning. Costa threw away 4 drinks due to the drivers which Is ongoing issue. I advise not to use Costa due to this problem I will wait and see if I receive my money back from just eat ..

hi, came here a couple days ago and just wanted to mention that a staff member, dott, was so welcoming, friendly and made my day by making me laugh. the place is super clean and a very nice place to just relax and wind down, the drinks were made perfectly and overall it was a very good experience.

By far one of the best Costa coffee shops I have visited! The staff were exemplary and couldn’t have been more accommodating in my visit. Fantastic work by store manager Callum and his team, a credit to the franchise!

Service a bit slow, but the chocolate fudge brownie frappe was amazing!

Lovely place for a quick drink and a snack. Polite staff and peaceful atmosphere make this place worth visiting.

A good Costa accessible both from the Octagon and outside it. Outside seating, decent amount of inside too. Good, friendly staff happy to help.

Fabulous place to be in and the staff are very welcoming and have time to spend speaking to u if there not busy. And welcoming with disabled people too got time for them. And there is lots of room available food lovely in there wont a quick snack or cake and stuff. All in all Fabulous places.

Pretty good. Nice clean interior. Not much in the way of snacks for vegetarians. Otherwise lovely. Will come again.

I do like costa and particularly this shop but of late the service is very slow due to collection/deliveries! I was in the queue at the weekend and 2 people walked out, it was the same the Saturday before too

It's Costa coffee. Staff were a bit blase and it felt like they didn't want to be there. Coffee was lovely however and huge :)

Very embarrassing experience due to transaction falling to go though cos of Google Pay not working, despite having sufficient funds in the account to cover the payment. Luckily a lovely young lady paid for me. I DID insist relentlessly to allow me to transfer the money to her but she graciously declined. It just goes to show there's no shortage of good people in the world. God bless her! Xx

Very slow service over lunchtime. When you eventually got your purchases food send drink were acceptable.

Usual Costa coffee and food choices, quite expensive. Venue is quite characterless, e.g. you could be sat in a small aircraft hanger.

Ordered hot chocolates and toasties, the hot chocolate arrived but no toasties. Had to reorder and pay a second lot of delivery charge

This is a nice costa, warm and fairly comfortable. Serving is a bit slow at times but the coffee is good. The toilets are reasonably maintained. The tables could sometimes do with a decent wipe.

Very pleasant staff. Service with a smile. Not seen very often nowadays.

Time for being delivered kept changing, both my drinks came freezing cold! Not happy with the service at all considering I order them to work all the time. They’ve gone straight in the bin they’re that cold.

I wrote the wrong number on my address as I wanted it at my work place which is on the same street as my home address ,called Costa they said will notify the driver but didn’t bother because it was delivered at my house. So … thanks!

Just enjoyed a lovely lunchtime coffee here. All of the staff are polite and professional! However, Amy is an exceptional member of staff, and will go the extra mile to make sure customs get what they need! Costa Coffee is very fortunate to have her on board! I do reviews all over the country in pubs/restaurants and any other hospitality sector and we are very lucky to have Amy working in our town of Burton!! Super relaxing and a cute place to go and get a coffee and read a book or listen to music. The service is lovely as there's the one lady, called Amy, who works there with short blonde hair and she's really smiley and bubble and makes the Costa 10 times more comforting. She honestly deserves a promotion.

Not only was one of the toasties cold but the other toastie didn’t even arrive in the package! Shocking!

It was cold and I ordered a Caramel Cortado but there was was no caramel and it tasted like a Latte.

After ordering numerous drinks for a workplace order 4 drinks were incorrect which was extremely disappointing considering the cost of the order. The drink took an extremely long time to arrive...over an hour! Won't be using again.

I always have my coffe in this place.

I am very disappointed with the staff and mostly with Louse. Her harassment was unprofessional and disproportionately evil and nervous. She blew all her anger on the customers.
