Average at best, I used to rate this place but there are better options close by on tonight's evidence....disappointed

Good food, quick service. Consistent in food quality.

This takeaway had been recommended to me a while ago by a friend, and I'd never managed to get there to try the food. Last week, however, I tried Singapore Chow Mein with Crackers - it was the best I've had in a while, so I'll definitely be going again to try other dishes.

Oh my god. Order food. They tell you one time....DOUBLE IT.....ordered food 633pm I was told 1hr to 1hr and 1/2. So 803pm latest......after chasing at 815pm told another 25 minutes. Never turned up until 841pm Over 2 hours after I may my order. Absolutely unbelievable. Just tell me the real time from the start. Food ok. Sorry feel really let down.

My normal Chinese takeaway was shut for the new year so decided to order from Top Chef. This is the 1st time, and last. Chips rock hard, cold, and probably been cooked 2 hours ago. The 4 seasons dish I ordered was just full of onions hardly any meat. What meat was in there tasted processed. The plain chow main I ordered was over cooked Noodles which were soggy. Please avoid this this. They cannot be 'Top Chefs' whatsoever. Portion size were the small takeaway dishes as well.

£4.30 for salt and pepper chips rip off. Curry sauce was like water it was so runny it didn't even coat my rice. Food did arrive quickly but didn't eat it as chips were greasey and curry sauce to runny. Almost £20 wasted. Thought I would give new chef another try after 5 months and it's worse. Portion sizes are so small . Barely enough curry sauce to cover the rice. Not worth the money

Ordered two main dishes both wrong chicken and mushroom curry no chicken king pao chicken all battered lots of onion and no peanuts a bit disappointed service was nice though shame about food

What has happened!!!!!!!!! We loved this restaurant, the food was always excellent. The last 3 orders over the last 2 months however have been terrible!!!!! We have stuck with you as we hoped it was just a glitch, however tonight’s order was horrendous. The prawn toast were overdone, the crispy beef soft and tepid, the chips were like cardboard. The batter on the chicken balls was falling off and again, not crispy. I’m gutted that this is how you guys are now sending out food. We have previously wrote great reviews and recommended you to our friends, now all we can do is find another restaurant. :-(

Daughter lives round corner so tried it out . Nice and hot , was ready for collection twenty mins after calling . Very tasty , not shy on ingredients in the specials . Chips were nice and crispy but not greasy Will be using more regularly now on

Really gorgeous food but how much do you have to spend before you get some free prawn crackers because other places who just as good give you some prawn crackers or something free I normally spend about £30 plus

Just ordered on just eat. Really disappointed. We spent £30 and the only edible food was the duck we had to shred ourselves.

I am not from Brizlincote so used trip advisor to locate a great Chinese while we were house hunting & come across Top Chef, well clearly the reviews were right, the food was excellent, from the light batter on the chicken balls and the excellent chicken curry. I would recommend this 100%

From all the reviews in assuming my order was a one time bad order, I ordered a meal for my birthday, this is one of the blandest rice and noodles I have had. Which can be down to each kitchen cooking different. The main issue was the bamboo chicken, which after 2 bites tasted a funny taste to it. I then smelt it and the food smelt off. Last time I will order from here

Used to be a bit cheaper than other Chinese takeaways but the food is really good.

Used this place for years- always been the best locally and anywhere else for that matter. 100% and a big Thanks to New Top Chef, always great food.

Visited this takeaway right at closing time and was graciously received with a smile. They very kindly fired up the kitchen again to feed us, which was well above and beyond the call of duty. Very kind and delicious food. We've enjoyed food from here numerous times and it's always good. Highly recommended.

Can not possibly comment on the quality of the food as it all went in the bin! Food was ordered through Just Eat and was requested to be delivered at 2255 however arrived at 2216 my partner wasn’t home until 2300. After speaking with Customer Services at Just Eat they agreed my time that a requested for delivery but yet were unable to deal with my issue. Will not use this restaurant again neither will I use Just Eat very unhelpful. Wouldn’t of given any stars but had to select 1

Great food, reasonably priced but does get extremely busy on the weekends. The only let downs are the delivery times and answering the phone. I called a dozen times today and either got call forwarded or ringing out for ages. Post from a frequent customer.

Found a new place to eat was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The external look is not great don't let this put you off.

Hi - please can you arrange to refund my order - due at 19:50 -I called at 20:05 to chase & was told on its way - when i asked why no one had let me know they said its the weather - I'm letting you know now - LAST TIME I ORDER FROM THESE RUDE PEOPLE - its now 20:32 and still nothing - too late for me to eat now - finally arrived 20:45 - turned it away

Szechuan Beef had a lovely flavour but sadly was more onion than beef. Vermicelli was ok, a little bland. Dim sum combo had sweated in the container. Wasn’t bad but probably won’t use again.

Absolutely horrific. Been ordering from here for about a year now and has always been good quality food. They are under new management and it has gone right downhill. The old owners knew who we were whenever we ordered (fatties😂) there was a long wait but they were very popular. However since the new owners took over twice in the past 2 weeks they have told us almost 2 hours for delivery then when the time came we would call back to be told they haven’t ever started the order because they “forgot about it” and would do it as soon as possible. Save your time and money and order elsewhere!!!

The food was hot and came on time. Nothing particularly special about the food. I’ve tasted better and I’ve tasted worse, the chips were a bit soggy but apart from that it was okay.

Terrible service. After adding 30 mins to delivery time I called to be told it'd be another twenty. When i called back was told food was on the way when it clearly wasn't and i waited about another 20 minutes for delivery. Wasnt even apologetic about it. Wont be ordering again.

Apparently, new top chef has changed hands , and boy , can't you tell .The food they sent was wrong , said would send right food next time I ordered as they were busy..unbelievable. I pointed out that I wanted the food that I had ordered the same evening to go with the rest. They said would send it , but 1 hour later had to call to see where it was . Was then told can't send it as driver busy. I've paid for food that I didn't receive and they refused to do anything about it. Absolutely disgusting service and will never use again.

Food was 45 minutes and stone cold disappointing.

Have used this Chinese for a few years, yes they have their busy nights where deliveries always take a little longer but they always advise on the phone before had. Staff are friendly and very helpful, they will change the dishes to what we ask with no problems. Food is always delicious never any problems with the meals to stop us from revisiting. Will continue to visit the in the future.

Collection time stated on the app was 19:45. Finally received the food at 20:10 and then realised that there was parts of our order missing meaning that some of the food ended up being cold.

Superb quality but forgot egg fried rice. Recovered quickly with complimentary curry sauce. Definitely use again.

been coming to this place since before I can remember, it's always been the best Chinese around for over a decade! everything is always hot and fresh and made to order, honestly you can't beat it.

I placed my order at 6.30 for delivery at 8.30. it said you order will be with for 8.35.?. I called at 8.50 and they said it's on it's way.this was my second and last order from there
