Having seen on the Facebook page that it was £1.50 per child in the play centre I turned up today to find that the price has gone up to £2.45. Now that's still a reasonable price and we were going to go in anyway as we'd travelled to get there. Unfortunately however, I commented that "it says £1.50 on Facebook" and the man (said he was the manager) didn't say "oh I'm so sorry thanks for pointing that out, we'll have to update our page" No, he said and I quote "that Facebook post is from 2021, you should have phoned up and checked it out before you came, it's not our fault that you didn't phone up" 😡 What a rude man, the other staff just looked embarrassed, but it's a bad reflection on the garden centre if this was a manager, and if that's how he speaks to customers how does he speak to the staff? Won't be going there again either to the play centre or the garden centre. There is no excuse for rudeness. Good manners cost nothing!

What a difference a year makes, last year this garden centre was owned by Wyevale and it was dire. Now under new ownership its lovely ,very festive ,lovely trees, lights and gifts. A good restaurant,we bought our dog and we were able to have some refreshments at tables reserved for dog owners just outside the restaurant area which was a lovely idea.

We visited the garden centre today and upon arrival noticed the name had changed. We both had lunch and had a roast dinner was definitely not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lady who served me was called ashleigh g and was very accommodating and polite and a good listener.Definitely a lovely member of staff. We will definitely be visiting again. We also had cake...Lots of choice and delicious with a brew.Recommend a visit here.

Thought we would pay a visit after noticing the ‘New Management’ and ‘New Soft Play’ signs outside. It has all the usual garden centre stuff and a very neat and organised layout. Nothing is dramatically overpriced. The aquatics shop is a nice touch with a huge variation of fish - worth a nosey around. The biggest new feature for us was the soft play - £1.50 was requested to be paid at the restaurant. It is a decent size and adults can get a drink and something to eat at the restaurant too. This is the perfect place to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon - children can play and see the fish and adults can browse the gift and sales around. We will be popping back soon :)

Recently changed hands, and has everything you'd expect from a garden centre. Now also has a range of dog treats/ toys, which they did not previously. Some nice books and gifts too.

This garden centre used to be run by Wyevale ,we visited just before Christmas and it was absolutely dire, since then it is in new ownership and what difference,it is dog friendly, bright and welcoming, with a good selection of plants and garden furniture and gifts. There is a cafe and somewhere to sit with your dog. Good luck to the new owners

We haven't been to this area for ages and we didn't realise that Barton Grange had become a Wyevale Centre, but we wanted a coffee, so we went in. It was 3 pm on a dull August midweek day and there was a queue to get served in the cafe caused by there only being one lady working behind the counter. One gentleman ordered three sandwiches and hot drinks. The credit card machine wasn't working, so it took ages for him to be processed and then his drinks for 3 came back as a pot of tea for two, so she had to make another pot. The man in front of me also had his order mixed up as they tried over charging him. I was going to have cake and coffee, but the cakes looked dry, so we just ordered coffee. The cappuccino was OK, but the black coffee was disgusting - it tasted as though the pot had sat there stewing all day and unusually, I had to put some sugar in to make it drinkable. Prices are higher than most garden centres at over £3 for a large cup and this is the worst coffee I have had in years. I will not be returning. No wonder the Wyevale chain is for sale if this is typical of the business.

Have been several times recently and had a different meal each time, last time I had spicy meat pasta, this time I had chicken burger, and the food is top notch every time, and always friendly & helpful service.

I went there with my kids and never felt so unwelcome! Picture this...the pub was loud with people talking and the landlady came over to our kids and insisted they turn their tablets down as it was disturbing the guests (it was at most minimal). There is no way anyone could here over the noise in the pub and the sound of the microwave heating all the food! Stay clear if you have a family as they really don't want you there! This was at 6pm when it's quite reasonable to bring your family for a meal in a pub, claiming to be a welcoming place to eat. Disgusting (and aggressive) treatment to families! Never again!

We have visited Ewe twice and both times really enjoyed the food. Last night was particularly good and we couldn’t fault anything. We were really happy to see our favourite dessert sticky toffee pudding still on the menu as we had it last year and it’s honestly the best sticky toffee pudding we have ever tried. (Please do not remove this off the menu we will be very sad) The steak was cooked to perfection, cabbage and bacon was lovely and the cauliflower cheese was to die for. Staff all lovely and friendly looking forward to visit again :)

Great pub vert friendly staff and clientele. Very welcoming on Memorial Sunday and they made huge efforts to pay respects with entertainment throughout. Free 1st drink for veterans etc. Brilliant pub, will definitely go again.
