Popped in for morning coffee and a stroll around. Had a latte /peppermint tea / carrot cake and a scone . As always where ever you go a short wait (it’s the coffee that takes the time as you know ) carrot much better than m&s and the scone also better and slight larger.that said it was over 10% dearer than m&s. Tables kept clean but it was only third full .

Service is so slow, we've abandoned our visit here on a few occasions. We decided to wait the 20 mins or so behind 5/6 people in the cue. Food is very very expensive, especially the kids items. I guess that is to encourage you to buy the kids meal deal but the offerings are mostly very unhealthy. The soft play smelt bad on our visit. I think someone had had an accident?? Or several people. Usually it's fine.

We called in for our once a month treat of breakfast, We Look forward to it as we are both on diets!!! We arrived 1/2 hr well before the end of breakfast service and we were stood in a long queue, there were two people serving one of them had his arm in a sling and was Attempting to take orders at the till while trying to also work the coffee machine. I noticed that he was Busy chatting with his colleague about how he had got his injury, the pain and also lack of sleep all whilst serving the customers ! He then proceeded to carry the coffee cups with his fingers inside the cup and was ripping special selected tea bag In his mouth , where was the food hygiene ??? While I commend his commitment in attending work he clearly wasn’t able to perform his tasks! There seemed to be a issue with coupons and there were three people ahead of us , who all had various issues which were not resolved swiftly thus holding up the queue all while the two chaps were still holding there conversation? I work in retail and could it could of easily resolved however after waiting 25 minutes it was my turn yayyyyy, but alas no, out came a man from the kitchen and said NO MORE BREAKFASTS!!! I said that doesn’t include me does it? Yes sorry no more breakfast. I explained I had been waiting 25 minutes I had heard all of the conversations and the various issues with coupons ( almost to prove I had been there a while), only to be told no More breakfasts again! I’m afraid I was so upset that I walked away and heard lots of people placing there trays back as they had been waiting as long as I had! I asked to speak to the duty manageress on the day she apologised offered us a complimentary breakfast on another occasion, which we declined that was not the point , it was more that we had arrived in plenty of time and witnessed all of the above to be spoken with such a dismissive tone. We haven’t been back since sadly

So disappointing yet again. Primarily come to use soft play and coffee..as nice selection of cakes etc... But, every time I queue for about 20 mins and give up on coffee and just pay for soft play and go. Staff are so slow and bored looking..with no enthusiasm or care it seems. To queue just to do soft play is painful...need another way to do this as adults get impatient in queue never mind children. Could be so much better for what else is there...but it's such a let down and although fresh baking is so tempting, I can't bear to wait... Please make changes...

I decided to take the kids out for some food and a look round the garden centre. We had food first and whilst it was 2 o clock you would expect some standards. After all your first customer of the day is just as important as the last right? The food wasn’t great at all the sausage was really dry and thick skinned (old) the mushy peas were also dry and crispy in chunks (microwaved I’d say and old) the panini cheese and tomato, looked as though it had been heated with a hair dryer and rather than melted cheese it was just a sweaty lump. Ah well our fault for going late I thought and almost accepted this. Until of course one of the waitresses was rude. Didn’t get the name but it was a blonde lady probably mid to late 40’s The kids were in the soft play and they came out and took there socks off, she was rude saying can’t you read you need socks in there for God’s sake. Then she was in a rush to get us out of the Cafe area, we’re actually closed now. Didn’t even get a chance to finish my drink. Usually like Wyevale and spend lots with them as a club card member, but on this performance I think I’ll spend my money elsewhere. Not worth going for bad food and a rude staff member.

I visited this restaurant today with my lover Hans to celebrate our 1 month anniversary over a romantic afternoon tea for 2, we had a voucher so it only cost £12 which was incredible! We also used numerous other vouchers which Wyevale had sent us from a previous complaint regarding the lack of Nicholas Cage photos on sale in the home and leisure department. Safe to say with the offer and our vouchers we only paid £1.45 for both of us. Not bad value for money! (Well worth complaining to Wyevale head office over something trivial as they dish out free vouchers like it’s going out of fashion) On completion of our order we battled through the crowds of customers and disappointed Nicholas Cage fans to finally find ourselves a nice quiet table in the corner. We were impressed with the ambiance of this restaurant, it was magnificent, there was some light jazz music playing in the background, what appeared to be mood lighting (or a broken bulb) and the whiff of the ‘older’ customers wasn’t too strong.... (I generally find the odour of Garden Centres reminds me of a nursing home) The staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. Our food was brought to the table by the manager, David, who was suspiciously cheerful, even when we questioned the lack of cakes on our afternoon tea... he promptly popped off to the kitchen and returned with 2 slices of rainbow cake, which was generous but also slightly insulting (Just because we are gay doesn’t mean we are obsessed with Rainbows, Nicholas Cage and pink Union Jacks darling) but nonetheless we endeavoured to make the most of our bargain afternoon tea. David also made us aware of the unlimited refills included with an afternoon tea so Hans and I certainly made the most of this exceptional offer, drinking around 4 coffees each and then we also had a take away latte for the journey home. All in all a very good visit, made only better by David, the exceptional manager and avid Nicholas Cage fan. Bravo David! BRAVO! Also.... we were extremely pleased to see that Wyevale had taken onboard our comments regarding Nicholas Cage photos, having now placed some around the restaurant for all to enjoy. Top Job!

We have to this cafe several times and it has been OK. Nothing great but satisfactory. But yesterday was dreadful. We had to queue 15 mins to place order, then 30 mins before food arrived. My fish and chips was OK but my husband's ham egg and chips was awful. The ham was 2 thin tired slices of sandwich ham, whereas previously it had been nice gammon. But the eggs had to be seen to be believed, virtually cremated. We pointed this out and the server did replace them with fresh eggs. We queued another 15 mins for coffee, and there was a Robin flying round which sat on the next table. Will not return.

The restaurant at this garden centre is a large and pleasant space. We went for lunch today and arrived just after 12. There was a short but very slow-moving queue at the counter to place our order. There ensued another long delay at our table waiting for our meals. The quality of the food was good but we are unlikely to go there for lunch again. It seems to me that a radical re-think of serving procedures is required: for example there is plenty of space to install a servery where customers can select their meals and pay for them before taking their seats. The restaurant at Compton Verney is an example of such a system.

At times the restaurant service was busy but generally speaking it was steady. The lunch menu was limited with board specials which was ok for a lunch. We had visited nearby Stratford and dropped in for a Saturday snack lunch. As we queued, the order-taking seemed very slow, but fortunately there were not many in front of us. We gave our order and were surprised that the items needing preparation were recorded separately and transferred immediately to the kitchen. OK, perhaps that would speed things. After well over 20 minutes waiting for sandwiches and toasted sandwiches, and as the cafe was relatively empty, we asked when our order would come. "Very soon". It arrived 30 minutes after we'd ordered it and we had seen only two other meals delivered. One order was wrong! And as luck would have it, it was a diabetic who now needed to eat. Tuna without cheese had become tuna with double cheese! They offered to prepare a replacement but it would have taken too long. The waitress who delivered it was clearly personally upset and anxious to make amends, but there was really nothing that could repair the damage already done.I know now why the kitchen order was delivered to the kitchen quickly: the order-takers were trying to minimise delays they had experienced before. There were at least 7 staff on duty - most in the kitchen. More effective management is urgently required here.Oh, the food was fine ... but the service was terrible.

It was a fair size although not huge, very tasty and well cooked. You queue to order which is a bit slow as the coffees take time to make (the bane of my life as a tea drinker!) but the food was served quickly and the service was excellent. One particular gentleman, who was clearing tables, saw my daughter was struggling to open her drink and helped her then got her a glass, simple but made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend it and would go back.

My husband and I used to visit Wyevale most Sundays over the winter for many years because he had mobility problems and it gave him somewhere warm and dry to walk in the cold weather. We used to have a look round the plants and in-store concession areas, and we used to have a coffee or tea as well. There was a period when there was a very slow member of staff serving, and on one occasion I queued for over 20 minutes to get served. I complained by phone to the Manager but was told the member of staff was being trained, and I felt the Manager's attitude was hard luck to the customers! The prices for drinks are on the high side, and the quality isn't as good as say Costa or Caffe Nero. Haven't tried the cakes as they are really expensive. Why, you may ask, did we keep visiting week after week, if we didn't like it much? Well, the drinks weren't so bad, just not very good. On the plus side, the café itself is a light and pleasant space, with plenty of room. And it has a good area for families with young children.

Usually at places you get a variety of sandwiches we got just plain cheese and ham and tomato I don't like tomato so was stuck with just cheese which is boring and my partner had to have the ham. The scones just crumbled to pieces so that was crappy and couldn't put cream or jam on them and then we had half a Bakewell tart each which was just given to us we had no choice in any of it. I purchased an afternoon tea for two from Groupon to use here and today seemed like a good time to use it :-)We haven't been here before and I was impressed with the garden centre, lots of choice and good offers. We looked around a little before going to the large restaurant. It was very clean and spacious with plenty of space between tables. It wasn't overly busy with just two people in front of me just before 2pm on a Saturday. I got to the front and asked if I could use my voucher which wasn't a problem. I wasn't really sure what I was doing and there was little communication apart from the man asking if I wanted the tea now or when the food came, I'm not sure if the tea is refillable as it seemed rude to ask but no information was really given so I took my number & tea and went to sit down. There were three of us today- myself, my husband and our 8 year old daughter. We sat around the corner by the kitchen door and enjoyed our tea and also helped ourselves to a glass of water from the jugs provided. The food did take a little while to come but when it did it was fantastic! We had a whole selection each Inc 2 full sandwiches (2 halves of each) with ham in one and cheese savoury in the other, a huge scone with jam and cream, a chocolate vienesse biscuit, 2 macarons and a slice of battenberg. Everything was really lovely and more than enough for the three of us to share.I'd definitely do this again and we ended up spending over 2 hours sat eating and chatting.I would have given a 5 but service was a little slow (tea cold by time food came), no choices of sandwiches, weren't asked about any dietary needs & communication was a little lacking. It was very good but not quite excellent. Definitely worth it though.

We stopped here for a light lunch on a Sunday in December. Although the Garden Centre was quite busy , there were plenty of seats in the large restaurant. The menu was basic garden centre fare – we had a fish finger sandwich, cheese & ham toastie and tea and coffee. This all came with a decent side salad, reasonable quality, service was quick and it all cost less than £15. For a garden centre restaurant it was fine – so would visit again if that was what we were looking for in this area. The garden centre has the usual stuff for sale and a Craghoppers/Regatta shop, which had a sale on when we visited, so was worth the visit.

We use this centre at least once every couple months. But we have noticed that it is looking a bit shabby. Entrance is good with displays and butchers shop. But walk further in and empty shelves with large areas of floor empty.Outside plants not looking at there best. As it was a hot day we thought we would have lunch outside. But the area wasn't very inviting. With empty plant displays, parasols down, dusty dirty block paving... So we sat inside. Last year we were impressed by the outside area. The tables had pot plants on them for decoration. Clearly the effort has stopped. Prices. Coffee £2.50 small cup. Jacket potatoes £6.50, Panini £5.60. Oh dear! I had Groupons for an "Indulgent Spring Afternoon Tea" for four. I called ahead of time to book and was told they don't take bookings. So, I turned up yesterday (Saturday) at 3.15pm with my daughter and my parents. We queued for an age and finally reached the till only to be told - by a surly assistant - that they'd run out of scones! There was no apology and no attempt to do anything more for us. "This is a restaurant, can't they make more scones?", I thought. I asked if there was a better time and they suggested I return tomorrow. I asked if I could book to avoid another wasted journey but they declined, reassuring me it would be better tomorrow. I decided not stay for coffee or tea or anything else but came home and promptly made my own scones (yes, from scratch!) and within 1/2 hour we were eating them warm with butter and jam and a lovely pot of tea! Today, we returned at around 2pm, full of hope and expectation, but yet again after queuing for an age (because the service was so slow) I was told they'd run out of scones!?! I explained that I'd heard the same story yesterday but this time they told me they'd run out of eggs. Seriously? This is a restaurant (plus you can make delicious scones without eggs!). In desperation, and to avoid another visit, I asked if they could replace the scones with something else, perhaps a toasted teacake? They agreed and so the order was placed. The tea arrived immediately and we took the little pots on a tray to the table we chose. Then we waited, and waited and waited... 40 minutes later the tea was drunk but there was still no sign of our food. I went to enquire and was told it was "on its way". I returned to the table to wait some more. Eventually a (presumably) more senior member of staff came over, apologised and offered us a cake, "any cake you'd like", from the selection at the front of the restaurant to eat while we wait for the afternoon tea. We agreed and I asked for more tea. They obliged and so we ate cake with hot tea! Finally, after well over an hour, the food we originally ordered arrived. Fortunately it was really tasty - cheese & cucumber sandwiches and ham & tomato sandwiches; a toasted teacake with butter and jam then some bite-sized custard slices. In summary it was initially extremely disappointing and frustrating but by the time we left we agreed it had been a very long but memorable afternoon. It's just a good thing that I enjoy extended periods of time with my parents and my daughter!! I won't be going again anytime soon and I won't be recommending the restaurant at Wyevale Stratford-upon-Avon to any of my friends. Such a pity! :-(

Things appear to have slipped over the last year or so. There don't seem to be enough staff now. One day last week there were no pannini on sale due to staff shortages.Having said that, the fish and chips is always very good. Succulent cod and well cooked batter.

My friend and I had braised beef with mash and peas, apart from chips no other vegetable was available, the food was very tasty - alas the Service or complete lack of it! The table next to us had used crockery from before we arrived (12.45) until not only after we left but another half an hour after we had shopped (2.35) with a table clearer walking passed it and a meal bringer walking passed it several times empty handed! Of course other tables had been cleared but the restaurant was hardly busy even for a Sunday lunchtime. The staff were most unhelpful and sour-faced. Although wearing badges saying "can we help you" could not or would. not appear to offer any assistance to elderly customers who clearly required some help with their tray. I rejoined the very slow queue for sweet of a cake and a couple of coffees for another performance of miserable staff who clearly would rather be somewhere else. This was my second experience of Wyevale Garden Centre within 2 months as I clearly didn't believe the first bad experience. Is the service so poor because of bad training or is the company so bad that it's staff are so incredibly miserable? The only single member of staff we encountered in the Garden Centre was on our exit, paying for our plants. The young lady was as all staff should be: happy faced and cheerful.I will definitely not be returning to the cafe for a third time. Very poor show.

Cafe as usual had a massive queue with extremely slow staff. Took my kids in soft play whilst fiancé queued was then told quote rudely that soft play was closed for a birthday party - what the whole soft play? Waitress said there was a sign outside but we looked everywhere and couldn't find one! Stratford garden centre is much nicer!

We visit reg, breakfast lunch, coffee and cake, we went today for breakfast. The food is always good but if they don't do something about the lady serving I think they will but a lot of people off going. Being in customer service myself I was shocked to witness the servers rudeness. She was very abrupt and made you feel you were putting her out. She was also training a young girl to clear tables, I couldn't believe how she spoke to her, there is no need for rudeness. If she had spoken to me the way she did other customers I would have reported her. A shame as usually nice to visit.

I often try Garden Centre Cafe's when travelling as the benefits of easy access and parking are attractive. This place delivers what I need. The food is good for snacks and lunches in particular and the menu and service are good. Ideal for families and the Garden Centre has many additional 'stores' offering clothes and books etc!

So we were meeting up with someone with a child, and they suggested here.We turned up and as you expect its the typical garden centre. They have a soft play area for the kids in the cafe which you do have to get a ticket for it's not free for everyone. We picked up a soft drink and crisps and ordered a sandwich (Wow it was EXPENSIVE!)We sat down chatting away whilst the kid played in the soft play area, and waited and waited and finally the OK sandwich turned up nothing special for the price. All in all seems OK if you have kids and want a bit of a break whilst they play in the soft play area but generally avoid for the cafe.

We visited Wyvale Garden Centre on a Sunday afternoon, as we had a groupon voucher for 4 people for afternoon tea, no booking was required. We arrived in plenty of time, when we reached the counter we were told they did not have enough stuff to do the afternoon tea, I have sent 2 e mails to their head office and to date not one of them has been acknowledged, poor all round service from this company, my suggestion go elsewhere and shop where service still counts .

This garden centre is often visited as it is local and it's ok for morning coffee. We decided to order food on a Sunday and was told that if we wanted sandwiches, panninis etc there would be a half-an-hour wait because they were busy with children's parties! Jacket potato was order, last one, and goats cheese tart with new potatoes and peas. The jacket potato was overcooked and a strange colour inside with hard dark skin. The filling was ok. The other meal was dreadful as the tart pastry was rock hard and filling tasteless with unappetising new potatoes and peas and lukewarm! On the plus side, the variety of plants and other garden items are excellent.

Visited here yesterday and shared a cheese and onion toastie with my daughter. It cost £5.15 and when it was placed before us, we saw a pretty unimpressive toasted sandwich with a heap of pink gunk which I described as cat vomit. The sandwich was tasty, despite the extortionate price, however, I avoided the pile of objectionable mess - which we think may have been some horrendous form of coleslaw. The drinks were warm and the coffee and walnut cake was a little dry but edible.

It was 2:30 when we arrived for lunch so not surprised choice was down to the last 3 items but £7:50 for a scoop of mashed potato a small pot of peas and 3 sausage with onion gravy was not impressive. Tasted lovely but still hungry. Had a huge carvery last week half the price of this. Was here 2 hours while car being cleaned in and out in the car park so we had no where else to go - they did an excellent job.

We use this centre because it's near to us. I would rate it as average +. We usually have a coffee and buy the occasional plant. The children use the play area. Positives are good location. Familiar layout. Butchers shop on site with good quality produce. Cafe. Negatives are. Expensive. Small children's play area & cafe use work out expensive.

Visited the Stratford branch today for the first time, found it to be a good garden centre with concession stores.Used the restaurant and had their special meal deal which today was Fish chips and peas, apple crumble and a hot drink of tea or coffee. Average sized portion, perfect for lunch-time and even better that the batter on the fish was suitable for a Coeliac as it was gluten free, which should be better advertised.Restaurant was very busy and the staff were working very hard to serve and everyone.

Passed on the way into Stratford-upon-Avon so decided to stop on the way back out and to be honest wish we hadnt.Ordered 2 fish & chips, 1 Sausage & Mash and an item from kids menu, told after 15mins that they dont have Sausage & Mash had to have another fish & chips. When it arrived fish inside was lovely though batter was very greasy, though if the staff had let it rest before plating then batter would have certainly helped, chips werent much better either, tartare sauce was horrible tasted nothing like what it should be, and peas had no taste.Expensive for what was on offer.

We're a fan of a light lunch at garden centres but we didn't even bother stopping here. The cafe appeared to simply sell the usual sandwiches, hot drinks and cakes. The tray bakes and cakes looked quite dry and unappealing and when we got the the front of the queue to see a box of white bread sandwiches tightly wrapped in cling film we made our exit. Not even refrigerated, I've made a better effort for a pic-nic!

The food we ordered (fish and chips) was very greasy and the oil ran off the fish which was not very appetising. The other meals we ordered were inedible. We spoke to the manager who was very apologetic, and realised what we were talking about, because he was new, he handed the situation over to one of his members of staff, whose aptitude left a lot to be desired. Not a place I would recomend.

I regularly visit the garden centre for a general browse & a look around their outdoor shops & this morning decided to visit their restaurant for a spot of breakfast with my friend. We both had a full English with poached eggs, one could also have had fried or scrambled, and were not disappointed. If I had one criticism it would be that the poached eggs were slightly overdone. i have to say that the waitress did bring it to our attention & said that the chef had told her that he would happily cook them again if they were not to our taste. As it was, although not perfect we didn't feel the need to send them back. The breakfast included tea or coffee with toast & preserves & was extremely good value for money. There was a varied breakfast menu, with plenty of choice for vegetarians also & the quality of the ingredients were impressive.I would certainly make a point of going in again on my next visit. For those just wanting a light snack, the cafe situated just outside the restaurant area also has some lovely looking cakes & snacks. All in all, I would say it is well worth popping in.

My friend and I visited the Leyland branch today for lunch and there was a "couldn't care less" attitude from arriving to leaving, we had a voucher for "2 meals for £10" and when my friend attempted to pay for our meals she was told that baked potato and tuna was not classed as a main course, the lady behind the till gave us a money off voucher for the shop, the food in the restaurant was awful, I would not have fed it to my dog never mind my friend and I. When my friend tried to pay for her shopping she was told she couldn't use it as it was only for plants and goods purchased in the shop, so if you can't use a voucher for shop bought goods it quite clearly was a waste of time printing the voucher in the first place, I would suggest the t shirts that staff wear with "happy to help" written all over them should be replaced with "here to rip you off" because the impression my friend and I got today was that they were trying to do exactly that by serving crap food and expecting silly prices for it and manners, whatever happened to them!!!! Sorry I have written this review on the wrong branches page seems to be missing and I wonder why!!!!

It gets tiring trudging around a garden centre, and you need a good place to refresh and renew sooner or later, pre or post-petunias.This restaurant does a better-than-usual job of that, the portions are generous and the cakes are nice. They do deals for the 0ver 60s some days of the week (do check first) and two-fors if you join their mailing and discount list. There are some tables outside as well as in.

Visited the Cafe for coffee and cake and sampled the fresh made Chocolate and Orange Scones, and I have to say they were absolutley delicious, and still warm from the oven. I was persuaded away from my usual cake by chef Willie, who recommended I try them, while he was walking around the cafe area, greeting customers and making sure people were happy with their food. What an excellent idea to improve customer relations and service and give your visit there a personal feel. If only all cafe's had this idea. The added bonus is, if you are a member of the Gardening club you get the cakes for half price after 2pm. There is even a children's indoor play area, much appreciated by families. I would definitley reccommend a visit to the cafe if you like a relaxing atmosphere, with pleasant staff, and spotless surroundings, and a chef that takes pride in his work. The garden centre is a good size and very well stocked, and the plants are all in very good condition. Even on a wet day it was a pleasurable visit, especially with the added bonus of a couple of in-store clothing outlets ,a book shop and kitchen ware section.Well worth a visit.

Scrambled egg arrived drowning in separated milk, I managed to pour off at least 150ml of aneamic looking fluid before attempting to eat it. Asked for a refund but as my elderly mother couldn't find the receipt was told that due to audit procedures this was not possible. As a gluten intolerant was offered a cake in recompense? To be fair was then offered a drink or piece of fruit. Highly unacceptable- as a local will not be returning and will advise others to do the same. Awful

Myself and a friend visited recently and were very pleasantly surprised. I've lived in Stratford for years and didn't realise this hidden gem existed! We had a lovely afternoon tea in the cafe, the staff were friendly and the food was tasty and beautifully presented. There was a huge selection of cakes to choose from so we intend to make several trips back so that we can try them all out! The soft play area looks fab, it's the perfect place for mums to take their little ones. Coffee, cake, catch up with friends and something to entertain the children, what's not to love?!

Went here at the invitation of a friend to have their afternoon Cream tea. No problem getting seated - we arrived about 2.15pm.You have to queue up to select what you want and pay then find a table and your food order is brought to you.We both ordered tea and the cream tea for food and I was delighted they offer skim milk - not always available at eateries! The large pot does not keep the tea warm so altho it holds enough for 2 cups each the second cup is cold.As to the food. Their current offer is a preset tea consisting of sandwiches, a cake and a scone with jam and cream. The sandwiches did not suit me as there was no choice on offer and rather than being made of sliced bread they used flat top rolls. This gave far too much stodge for my liking and there was not the option to have brown bread. I NEVER eat white bread so this was a disappointment. The scone was HUGE and undoubtedly the best home made scone I've eaten in literally years. The chef apparently makes them on the premises. I wish they sold them to take out. There was no choice of cake, just one square of something with yellow buttercream type icing on top. Nothing wrong with it but of no great standard either. So all in all, a good effort that could be SO much better. The Garden centre has been revamped since I was last there over a year ago and it is lovely.

I go here every week to have lunch with my sister. The queues can be long, but it is well worth the wait. The coffee is good and the lunches are of a good standard. It is excellent value formoney and very popular. The soft play is a little small, but adequate for the under 4's. I hope they consider enlarging it as Stratford needs a facility like this for the little ones. Keep it up Wyevale you really are going in the right direction.

Long drive from Scotland & on arrival we found out no dinner is on offer. Were told we could order in a takeaway and they'd provide plates & cutlery - no thanks! Went to a village pub two miles away. Bedroom was tired & visibly dusty, as was the area for breakfast - how can you not notice the cobwebs in your windows with the sun streaming in??!! Breakfast was basic continental but only 1 apple in the fruit bowl? Almost laughable. No staff around at first, then 1 lady & her two dogs appeared in the breakfast room, saying she was only the housekeeper but did we need anything? We asked for more fruit....but there was none on offer. I have never stayed in anywhere more Fawlty Towers than this! Absolutely terrible.

Of course, the weather was wonderful, which helped the ambiance but we had a lovely time at The Blue Lias today, sitting outside to eat, watching boats going past on the canal. The food, fish and chips, was basic but good quality and well-cooked. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There were plenty of clean water bowls for our dogs, which I had to fill so the water was fresh.
