This hotel is in the Ghetto, there is literarily a graffiti on a building nearby saying Ghetto on it, people standing at the door and in the parking lot staring you down as you walk in, what kind of bussiness is that and the parking lot has a sign saying park your car at your own risk, we asked for a refund but they would not help us .

I arrived early and requested a quiet room for sleeping towards the back of the building, since I was not feeling well. The front desk stuff was just rude and arrogant, and gave me a noisy room, despite most of the rooms still empty. Highest rate of $250, but no customer service, empathy or friendliness. After this experience I will not be staying in the hotel ever again.

Horrible Experience – Would Not Recommend I stayed here last night, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. After driving since 3 a.m. and having an exhausting day, I arrived at the hotel around 8 p.m., hoping for some much-needed rest. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The room above me had constant noise, possibly children running around, for two hours. By 10:30 p.m., I finally called the front desk to request they ask the guests above to quiet down. Thirty minutes later, nothing had changed, and the noise continued. Desperate for sleep, I went to the front desk to request a new room. The front desk employee was incredibly rude and told me there were no other rooms available. I went online and saw that there were, in fact, rooms available for booking. When I mentioned this, she claimed they were having “system issues” and couldn’t give me a new room even if I tried to book one. I explained that I desperately needed sleep and could not return to the noisy room. Her response? “You’re welcome to try another hotel.” I was completely shocked by the lack of customer service and empathy. After such a long day, this was the last thing I expected. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our stay was a good one at the Home2 Suites St Louis location and we found it to be a decent hotel overall. Our stay found the rooms to be good overall, didn’t really have problems with noise, and we had a restful stay. We didn’t actually stay for breakfast as we needed to hit the road early. The staff were friendly and the only downside that I overheard was that some guests and stafff had their vehicles gone through with some things taken. As I understood it, the vehicles were left unlocked so just make sure you lock things up in the parking lot and you should be fine. The location is close to Shriner’s hospital and the interstate as well.

I was moving to Florida at what seemed to be the most inconvenient timing of the year, with my mom in tow. Had my entire life on the back of my car, across country. When I tell you the staff fielded every concern I had for security, and safety, and took care those concerns to their absolute best. Angel at the front desk, and Tony in security are absolutely running that operation finely. The rooms and facilities were very clean and professionally maintained as well. Fantastic place to stay.

I’m staying here for IVECCS and to do work on my research papers. I want to mention the staff is absolutely amazing! So friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect; ten minute walk to train. However! This hotel is extremely loud. I was woken up every morning so far to people throwing boulders (what is sounded like) and running over my head at 5 am. The first day this went on til almost 2 pm and I had to call the desk because I was trying to work. The next day; housekeeping was screaming and cursing and slamming things while cleaning. Again; had to go to the desk as I was in lectures and could not focus. Breakfast was terrible. My room had no utensils when I arrived. There are ants everywhere in the room and the climate control (heating and cooling) simply does not work. The gym area is nice. Would not stay here again, and wish I could go somewhere else as I’m still here until Wednesday and would Love to sleep past 5 am.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with this hotel and staff! They were spectacular! The girls upfront Angel, Jolene, and the supervisor in charge( I can’t remember her name) were nothing but wonderful. The cleaning staff and housekeepers were amazing as well! Chasity, who was over the kitchen, was so sweet. We were so thankful for this hotel after an unexpected visit because of having to be close to the children’s hospital. I highly recommend. Everyone we met was super friendly and just all around nice human beings and our family is in a stressful situation so that just meant the world to us.

I do not recommend this hotel, it was a big disappointment for a Hilton. To be fair there were a couple positive aspects about this stay. It is in a good location for visiting many St Louis attractions. Staff were all very friendly. Room size was good. However: Breakfast was absolutely terrible. And my expectations are not super high for a complimentary breakfast but much of it was unpalatable. The hot option every day was a breakfast sandwich. But it was a hard, flavorless rock. See picture. One day they had little egg folds and I tried one but it was like egg leather. Again, really, really bad. Coffee was also pretty bad. I ended up getting coffee elsewhere most days. Hands down the worst hotel breakfast I have encountered in recent years. Although I was looking forward to a break from cooking the front desk has burners you can check out so I could cook breakfast in the room. However, look at the condition of the burner I was given. So gross. It’s wrong someone turned it in like that but also does staff not verify the condition before giving them to a new customers? The room also had a lot of grime. I didn’t feel like I could hang a towel up on a bathroom hook and then use it again due to all of the grime/questionable spillage on the walls. The kitchenette had quite a bit of debris so I had to clean that upon arrival. Lastly the elevator went out on multiple occasions during my stay. I was given a room on the top floor and had to haul my toddler and all of the things needed for our outings up/down four flights of stairs on multiple different days since the elevators kept breaking. I reached out to Hilton services asking what my options were to change hotels and I did not receive a response until over half way through my stay and the response was that they could not locate my reservation. Another disappointment for Hilton. If you’re looking for a decent location and don’t care about anything else it’s not a bad option. If you care about anything else I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I regret allocating resources to this stay and in retrospect definitely would’ve stayed elsewhere.

We have been traveling from out of state for my son’s medical care and have stayed here 4 separate times this summer. I really appreciate this hotel and how comfortable it has made us this summer. It is so conveniently located close to the hospitals and attractions. Forest park is only a couple minutes away and it is close to the downtown attractions also. There is a barbecue restaurant across the street. There is plenty of parking and it’s so close to the door. The rooms have a nice kitchen and a good desk set up.

Although the staff was lovely. The first rooms bed was full of dirt, the sliding door to the bathroom was stuck, it was also covered in stuff & the air conditioning began flooding the room. We were moved to a second room the honestly was tolerable but not nearly as clean as it should be. There was food on the walls, the bathtub was full of hair. The shower was out of shampoo which truly a minimal thing but it just all added up. The pool had large chunks of dark hair floating in it. I don’t mean 1 or 2 strand either I do mean large chunks. The hotel itself seemed to be in a state of disrepair. Chipped paint, scuffed and dirty walls, stained carpets. For what I paid & considering how much time I’ve spent in Hilton’s I expected a much better experience. When you are traveling for childrens medical issues you don’t want the stress of a bad hotel on top of it. And their solution to my problem was to give me reward points that I don’t even have access to. 1 what am I going to use those for what a ridiculous solution for the experience. I was not traveling for pleasure, I’m a special needs parent. Yes I’ve stayed extensively in Hilton due to a house fire & insurance putting us there. The only other travel is for work making the points useless to me. Honestly it was just overall ridiculous.

Well the room was fine but they had a real problem cleaning it. We came in july 3 and one of the pillows was all torn up. We ask them to replace it and youd think we asked for a million bucks. A few days later i asked the room to be cleaned and my wife did also. The maid said sure she would get to it and when we got back it wasnt. So i called the front desk late that night and they said " its on the route tomorrow" Just to be sure the next morning i stopped by the front desk and the guy said " someone will visit your room today " When i got back late that night , you guessed it , still not cleaned. So i needed to ask 4 times at last count and still going. That is a lot

One of the best if not the best Home2 Suites by Hilton I've stayed and I travel a lot. Also I've had a few weeks experience at the property and feel comfortable providing high praise. The eleven year old hotel has now been renovated. The location for those that need a close proximity to WashU, Barnes Jewish Hospital, WashU Med Center or Shriners Hospital it's across the street. The neighborhood is called The Grove. The hotel is just off the interstate. Surface parking is semi secured with a gate not requiring a key card. There is hotel access on the side with a key card. The lot was clean everyday. I had no issues with safety. Great experience with staff from check in to encounters while moving around the property and also breakfast, I did not utilize the FREE breakfast but one day and it was clean and coffee good. It's passes, but nothing exceptional. The eating area/lobby was clean. I've stayed in a modern double and a King. Both were comfortable rooms with no real issues whatsoever. I did have a staff person bring me a note pad which may have been missing, unsure. The only minor issue was noise from above periodically from other guest. A strong 4.5 rounding down. The location, modern amenities and value will have me return.

Room was not cleaned prior to our arrival, manager was clearly on a multi-day straight working shift when I mentioned this. Front desk did get fresh sheets for us. I've stayed at Home2Suites a bunch because I travel with my dog. This location is the first bad experience I've had. The building seems older than most I've stayed at. It's not very cozy; the room doors are beige penitentiary grade metal and the room was uncomfortably cold even after adjusting the thermostat. The mattress was very old and uncomfortable, almost like a thin plastic toddler bed mattress. There was a huge indent on the side that clearly most people have slept on, so I had to shore myself up with pillows to keep from falling into the canyon. One of the pillows looked so rumply it might as well have been stuffed with socks. There was no inner shower curtain but by the time I realized it, there was no turning back, so I took a two minute military shower so I wouldn't flood the place. On a positive note, the staff was pleasant and the coffee was tasty and hot in the morning.

I don't normally write reviews but felt the need to write one for this one. This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed at. After a few previous not so great experiences at other hotels, this was a breath of fresh air. Angel at the front desk was super accommodating in switching my room away from the elevator for my child which was much appreciated. She has such a warm and friendly personality. Room was super spacious and very clean. The rooms were very modern and appreciated the amenities. Breakfast was good as well and the hotel seemed like it was in a safe location.

Nice room however for the price we paid, I feel as if the hotel should have provided toilet paper. We had a partial roll when we checked in. When we ran out, we asked housekeeping for more and they told us the entire hotel was out. I went to the front desk and they confirmed this. We had to use napkins from the breakfast area for our girls while one of us had to try to locate a store close by. Very inconvenient!!!!

This review is specifically for Kevin, I believe he is a manager at this location. I stay here frequently since I work nearby for a few days at a time and he has been helpful with any hiccups. I was having trouble with my Hilton app and he was able to resolve the issue for me, more than once. He is always super friendly and helpful. The rooms are good, they are clean, and sound proof. The gym is also a plus- I enjoy the weights and cable machine. The gym also is a decent temperature for working out, I’ve stayed at some hotels that keep it warm in the gyms and that just isn’t pleasant. I would recommend this location to others.

The woman that was working, I think her name was Kristy or Chasitie, she wasn't supposed to be working that shift, but she was. She was super nice and helpful!! There was old dried up rice in the utensil drawer. I let the front desk know, and it was fixed right away. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only thing that was dirty. I also noticed that the bathroom was dirty, but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to be "that guest". I found a towel that had toothpaste on it from a previous guest, and there was some kind of blue memory foam all over the floor and in the shower. The pool was filthy, smelled of heavy chlorine (most likely from excessive urine), and crowded.

My husband and I came here to be near our children and new grandson who was at a nearby hospital. My husband went to check in and talked about the amazing check in experience. We were given a welcome bag and taken care of at every turn. Then, we were given our very nice and clean room and no tiny bottles in our bath but instead fully stocked bathroom and kitchen. Housekeeping was in the hall and the sweet housekeeper told us to let her know if we need anything at all. Shuttle service to hospital and restaurants was outstanding! On new years eve our driver was very helpful pointing out highlights and points of interest. Both drivers we had were super helpful. We did use our car as well but the shuttle was exceptionally easy to use! What a bonus. The breakfast buffet on New Years Eve was amazing. Not sure if it's always this amazing but the attendant was beyond helpful and meticulous about arrangement and attention to detail. Offerings were breakfast sandwiches, keto bowls, oatmeal, boiled eggs, omelets, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, milk, juices, Starbucks coffee, a wealth of toppings (blueberries, strawberries, almonds, granola etc..), bagels, English muffins, toast. Perfect! Can I add a sixth star for service please!

I’m a huge fan of Home2, but my last two experiences have me so confused how they have tanked in cleanliness and experience. When we arrived to this specific location, the main host was super kind. When we got to our room, there weren’t enough towels. We called to the front desk but they never came. When we opened the sofa bed, the original sheets and blankets were on it, leaving behind popcorn and trash in and around the bed. Disgusting stains as well. The hotel eventually brought us new sheets and blankets but still no towels. We woke up the next morning, went to the front desk for towels to take showers, but there was no hot water. We waited for two hours between waking and eating, and nothing. After the last two experiences with Home2, we will be finding a different hotel. Not every Home2 is this way, but Nashville and St. Louis Forrest Park have been terrible.

I went to visit my friend after work who was staying here for her birthday. I was sitting in my car for a while before I got out and went in for a brief moment. On my way back out, security had the exit block off with his vehicle. As I rolled my window down to ask him to please move he approached me and was like sure no problem but first I want to know what you were doing? I told him how my friend birthday was today and I just got off work and came by to say happy birthday. He quickly responded that he knew exactly who I was talking about and move his vehicle. Now at first I thought to myself what does it matter but then I thought about how I low key would have liked suspicious to anyone who was watching. This just let me know that he was doing his job and I appreciated that. Most ppl would be in their phone or maybe even sleep on the job with it being late at night at the time, but he was alert making sure the lot was secure that was for sure!

We stayed here Nov 17-18. Great service at the counter. Our room was somewhat clean. The bathroom was not the cleanest. Outside our room which was right off the elevator it smelled like marijuana the entire weekend. Breakfast was very lack luster and the trash was always over flowing. Wouldn't stay here again.

Roaches! The hotel looked fairly clean and uncluttered. I got up at 2am to use the bathroom and get a drink of water, and watched the roaches scurry when I turned on the light. I wasn't able to get back to sleep afterwards. When I ran the water in the kitchenette, the drain smelled horrible. The breakfast bar was okay, but I could definitely see that cleanliness was an issue. The utensil baskets were full of old crumbs. The lobby restroom was very dirty, floor needed mopped, soap dispenser was rusty. Otherwise it was quiet, beds were comfortable, staff was polite, and my kids enjoyed the pool. They are also very pet friendly.

It was close to the hospital and the complimentary breakfast was good every morning. If you are staying longer and you expect to get cheaper rates as the hospital suggests then you will NOT get it. We were here 13 nights and the rate stayed the same. No other discounts as other hotels do the longer you stay. They said you had to stay a month before you gets cheaper. Wished I asked when checking in.

Honestly, I'm written this review because I've met the most wonderful person who works here. Cournae is a super helpful, responsive and caring person that my stay (for work, away fromy family) so lovely. I had some questions and needed help with some things and she was very helpful and gracious about it! It literally felt like staying at the friends house (in a good way) because of her. Whenever I come back to town I'm definitely staying here and hoping to see her again! Overall a very nice hotel especially if you're looking for a longer term stay. My room had dishes and a dishwasher in it.

Third visit to this hotel. I find it to be in a nice quiet neighborhood within St Louis, close to WashU and Barnes Hospital. It's relatively quiet, and feels safe. Home2 has a free shuttle that I've utilized to many locations. The rooms are larger than the typical hotel room and come with a great little kitchenette. A free continental breakfast with a few warm and cold items are served, not bad. The manager needs to work on customer relations with his staff. Front desk staff are courteous but come across as snooty and lazy( every visit ). This last visit I needed an ice bucket and asked numerous staff three times, never received it. When I checked in I asked for two room keys and received one, was told they were out and would bring one to me...... Never happened. I booked a handicapped room for a specific reason and found ONLY one item handicap accessible (a raised toilet). By the time I was in and settled, to tired to move and seek other room. Accepted the discrepancy and stayed two nights. I understand the Mgr is quite new, maybe these are just a few of the reasons?! It's the little things that add up over time and make you consider other locations. Come on, your name has Hilton on the front sign and everywhere else.

Noisy, economy rooms that are priced just as expensive as other nicer hotels in the area. Once every five day housekeeping services provide a cost savings to the hotel but are not transferred to the guest. A poor building layout means late arriving guests will probably end up parking on the south end of the lot and having to walk all the way to the north end to use the elevator to get to their room.

This hotel is excellent! And very dog friendly with amazing staff! I’ve stayed here before and so happy I chose to come back. I have added this stop as a staple for traveling between east-west coasts. I was fortunately given a room on the first floor which had easy access to the side door and it was so convenient for taking my dog out. The area is also perfect with a dog park down the street. I also really appreciated the help I received every time I went to the front desk. Everyone was lovely. I’m looking forward to coming back!

Albeit a brief stay, this Home2 appeared to be well maintained - including my room; the staff were friendly and accommodating when I needed to add a night due to nasty weather. I do not typically stay at Home2 locations due to past experience, but I would stay at this location again.

1st time here! Masks not required when not in room. While checking in after the check in time, we was informed they had no rooms yet and that they are updating the hotel and that some of the rooms won’t be ready because of the painters (paint smell). While the employee took off with a painter another employee tried to help us and told us they just haven’t finished cleaning any of the queen bed rooms and that it’ll be at least an hour more. So, we drove around and came back and still they didn’t have any rooms at that time so we had to wait a couple of minutes for one to be done. We wasn’t told times for check out, breakfast, pool issues, etc.. while in our room our Wi-Fi wasn’t working either so had to call the front desk to informed it wasn’t working because we wasn’t officially checked in yet. The pool has to be scheduled in hour slots at the front desk (which again we wasn’t told about. I found out about while going down to see what time they closed and seen the sign on the door.) The bathroom was very small. Dishes were found in the dishwasher. Only one tv for the large room. The room above us was so loud, you could hear the kids running back and forth all night and morning. For breakfast, they only had two different kinds of cereal, plain oatmeal, toast, bagel, some sandwiches, and not much more than that.

Crazy large rooms with an amazing (and dog loving) staff! Stayed here were visiting town to go to the Bar K dog park. The room was very nice, well cleaned and comfortable.

I chose this because it's safe. However, there is no cleaning service, no water provided, which was bad because I arrived at midnight and I was so thirsty. Also, you have to check out at the counter and can't do it digitally. The room was big though. Bring your own toothbrush, but no need shampoo. You have to pay for laundry too.

I stayed at this hotel December 17-19. My stay was 276.01 plus taxes . I selected to pay upfront for my stay at the time of reservation. They only took a fee for one night even though I was booked for two. This hotel two days before Christmas has taken an additional 700.00 from my accounts and they can not account for the money. This leads me to believe an employee has stolen me card information and used it fraudulently. They are not saying much out side of I’m sorry. The GM never called me back today after multiple calls. The employees refused to give me corporate number. They kept giving me the wrong number. I finally got a number but still no help. I am a single mother and now my children won’t have a Christmas because of this. I am devastated.

This hotel is great. Loved that it is so close to the museums and zoo. Close driving distance to many restaurants and shops. We had an issue with our TV and they were very quick to fix it. They also offer a shuttle to local places as well. Breakfast was pretty good, but the setup could be better.

We have used Home2Suites many times, in many different locations. We are almost always very pleased. This last stay had a few headaches...some minor. Room supplies were not stocked totally. The restricted (Covid restrictions) breakfast was fairly poor. The attendant was rude/abrasive to visitors. There were no signs, or instructions on how to proceed through breakfast, and attendant was not friendly, or helpful. Some visitors walked away. Biggest issue: after check-out, and reporting some of my issues, I was charged almost twenty dollars more than my quote, or details at check-in. I have tried several different ways (calls, emails) to find out why. No real answer. A lot of run around. No follow up with my inquires. Our stay was overall nice. This stay just had a few hiccups. We will stay at this company again.

We was in St. Louis for our son’s sarcoma tumor removal. We was there 3 nights/4days. The staff was very accommodating to get us booked for an extra night( because the plan was to leave Friday but our son was not discharged til Saturday). Very friendly staff. Good breakfast and coffee. While we was there 12/10/21 there was tornado sirens going on. My only recommendation is for staff to have better knowledge where to go and what to do in the case of a tornado. Thank you for a great stay! Oh I forgot to mention they have a shuttle to take you to and from Barns Jewish hospital. You don’t have to fight traffic or worry about parking.

Clean rooms. Stayed because my husband had surgery at Barnes hospital and had to stay over night. This hotel was right by the hospital. Friendly staff, was able to have tea to settle down due to a stressful day.

They really could do better at cleaning the rooms. I had them clean my room and my bathroom was not touched. They took my used linens out but not give me more towels, didn't refill my body soap, clean my sink, refill my toilet paper. I don't really care they are short staffed, not my problem for what you pay for a room that is what needs to be done or don't charge so much.

The room was mostly clean and cozy except for the dishes, they had alot of smudges all over. And then we got told one price and was charged more than what was said and then was charged twice, which were weirdly two different prices. But got it taken care of in 5 to 10 business days..

I called ahead and Ephrem took care of me that my room was waiting for me. I had enough time to prepare for work and get cleaned up. On my check out day, Erica took great care of me even though I had already checked out. She understood that I had a late flight and was helpful with my needs & requests all the way until I left for the airport. I definitely would stay here again!!!

We arrived at 1pm to a lovely welcome from two young waitresses. Who attended to our needs through our 3 hour stay. Millie was excellent and attentive as we are regulars but she was new us as was the menu. Which she explained to us with a very experienced manner. We were wined and dined and looked after very well and we had a wonderful catch up with friends. Thank you!

Long drive from Scotland & on arrival we found out no dinner is on offer. Were told we could order in a takeaway and they'd provide plates & cutlery - no thanks! Went to a village pub two miles away. Bedroom was tired & visibly dusty, as was the area for breakfast - how can you not notice the cobwebs in your windows with the sun streaming in??!! Breakfast was basic continental but only 1 apple in the fruit bowl? Almost laughable. No staff around at first, then 1 lady & her two dogs appeared in the breakfast room, saying she was only the housekeeper but did we need anything? We asked for more fruit....but there was none on offer. I have never stayed in anywhere more Fawlty Towers than this! Absolutely terrible.

Nice place. Staff were friendly and polite. Stoned floor, usual tap beers and a few real ales available. TV on the wall showing sport. Tables and chairs were adequate, descently decorated. Enjoyed my visit.

Of course, the weather was wonderful, which helped the ambiance but we had a lovely time at The Blue Lias today, sitting outside to eat, watching boats going past on the canal. The food, fish and chips, was basic but good quality and well-cooked. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There were plenty of clean water bowls for our dogs, which I had to fill so the water was fresh.
