Popped over Sunday @ 130 pm for Lunch with the children. Very unkept. Dirty tables left and tables never wiped down. No one clearing up outside @ all. Struggled to get a clean table. Food came. Jacket potatoe with cheese, nothing special. We had ham, egg and chips too. Very small portion of dried up chips. Emptied kitchen and mayo bottles. Cutlery dirty which was supposed to be clean. The whole experience was horrible and definitely won’t be going again. Such a shame.

This review is for the old barn restaurant. Great for a light lunch and brunch and well supported. Makes a nice day out while visiting the garden centre. Just coffee available if you don't require a meal. Food is basic but well presented and pleasant restaurant facility.

Ordered 2 Americanos and was charged for 2 cappachinos - fair enough the lady misheard the order but then such a palaver to get charged correctly! Even then they tried to shortchange me! Also accused my husband of being rude when he was just trying to get the correct change. Appalling customer service!

Would it be more helpful if the reviews for this location were clearly separated into:- Old Barn Restaurant - Wyevale Garden Centre Costa Coffee - Wyevale Garden Centre. As things are things are quite confusing as I have just completed an excellent report on Old Barn. Although I would like to review Costa I am not sure whether to do so here or perhaps there is a separate Costa listing. Both restaurants have five out of five stars for their official Food Hygiene rating

Been here many times now and sorry for the pun, but it’s growing on me. Staff polite, always helpful, good plants and sections of those on offer. Always end up buying a book or stationery as well in The Works, have purchased outdoor Regatta wear from their clothes section and a various garden furniture. The restaurant in the barn serves a good home made soup and roll coupled with a good pot of tea. It’s a nice place to be honest just to look around, chill and eat!

As we were passing we decided to stop for breakfast. Breakfast was served from 9 until 11.30. There was a good choice of breakfast on the menu and something for everyone. We ordered breakfast, toast and coffee and then sat down. The breakfast came well presented, hot and in good time, and it was really tasty the produce was of good quality. The staff were freindly and accommidating and the restaurant was clean and airy. The next time we ate passing we will definately be stopping again.

We were greeted at 4.40pm with we close at 5pm and they had closed off all the toasted, panini etc. Was like we an irritant by arriving with 20 minutes before they close. The black americano was the worst i have ever had and tasted like dishwater and the cup was filthy. Wont be going again. Please sort it out costa .

We used to eat here regularly buy don't any more due to the tired dried up food and lack of care. They frequently run out of or do not have the menu items and what they do have looks and is dried up or over cooked. Feels like they have lost interest in catering to their customers - very sad. Great venue shame about the bad meals.

Came here for lunch, but had a look round the shop. Some good value craghopper trousers. Had lunch afterwards, even though very busy food only took about 10 minutes, although we were advised 15 minute wait. Fish and chips- chips were superb like chips from a chippy, generous portion of mushy peas, and fish nicely cooked and not too large a portion. Strawberry Ice cream for dessert, very nice. All in all a very pleasant experience, and one I would recommend. Not sure what some reviewers are expecting, it’s not a 5 star restaurant, so it’s not haute cuisine, just good old fashioned “home cooking” I would definitely Recommend it.

This site is such a mixture of things. Coffee shop is expensive and little Costa very cramped. Food quality was average and garden center was unimpressive.

Went to the garden centre not to use the restaurant. They now have a separate Costa coffee shop but we were so impressed with the varied menu in the restaurant. Had decided to go for the soup which you get a choice of bread, cheese scone or roll but at last moment saw the offer for macaroni cheese with garlic bread and salad for £4. Well I was so surprised when it came out. Home made mac cheese and delicious, but two huge pieces of garlic bread and a small salad. Will def eat there again when we go back.

Went for lunch with friends today, my second visit. I was looking forward to it as the last time I was here it was excellent. Firstly they were having problems with the till. The queue was taking ages to go down. The young girl that was preparing the drinks kept putting her hand inside the clean cup.We had a long wait after drinks were prepared, before we got to order the meal. When my fish/chips arrived I had to send back the fish was half cooked and the chips were less than appetising. We had to ask to get our sweets after and when our mixed ice cream came it was melted and consisted of a slodge of vanilla and a tiny spoon full of chocolate.I have to say they rectified everything. All our bills were were diffenly priced because of the till problem. We won't be going back.

We have visited this Garden Centre before and discovered the Garden Kitchen Café with it's fresh home style food and friendly staff, but today we were inspired enough to write a review! Surprised that The Old Barn Garden Centre does not appear to have been found by many of our Trip Advisor community - it is a really good place to visit, sun or rain. Luckily we had sun, and were able to sit outside in the courtyard of the Café - which is housed in a large Old Barn. There is also a Costa Coffee shop alongside. We took in the lunch deal - super fried cod, chips and peas (main) with Eton Mess and a coffee - all for £8.50. Good value, nicely served. There is plenty of choice for all here. The Garden Centre had just started a 70% off Sale, so we walked around all the outlets and concessions, picking up many bargains here and there. Well laid out, with interesting hot tub and garden rooms to look at and a wonderful selection of David Austin roses. We enjoyed our visit immensely and will be coming back.

This garden centre is a nice place to visit. It has a very good supply of plants and well presented. It has small shops inside to browse as well as Hotter shoe shop, Crag Hoppers clothes, Bon Marche shop, The Works and a Pet supply shop, not forgetting the Cafe restaurant with nice food. It also has a Costa Coffee Cafe on its own which is really good. Plenty to see and do.

I've been here before but this is the first review I've given. My wife and I went there for a coffee morning with our photography group. A very pleasant cafe and some of our group enjoyed a cooked breakfast on a 2-1 deal. As it was Shrove Tuesday, I ordered pancakes. They arrived cold on a cold plate! So I politely returned them. 5 minutes later the pancakes were back but still cold and still on a cold plate! It could have been embarrassing to our group for me to kick up a bit of a fuss so I ate them in silence. But pancakes are meant to be hot on warm plates! I've marked you up one better than I should because the rest of our group enjoyed their food. Please do better next time I visit. Thank you.

Thought I would give this another try after my last visit over a year ago. No. Just no. No improvement whatsoever. It has all the glitz and glamour deco but none of the substance. The owner should look into the best service and food available elsewhere. The Swedish cafe in Horsham are spot on. Take a leaf out of their book for improvement.

The best Indian our family have tasted, authentic and full of flavour. Staff very friendly and kind. Floors could do with a good clean. However the food is incredible and outweighs any other factor. Will definitely be visiting again and pass on our positive experience to friends and family.

A very good roast dinner!!! Almost perfect. My only suggestion is that the cauliflower cheese needs to be bigger...
