service exceptional and really friendly. REAL FOOD !!! I had a gf ham eggs and chips (all food was excellent quality ) husband had the burger and chips which he said was really nice. You get decent potions too. and chips are real and chunky. tea and coffee good too

Very poor services. Refuses to sell small portions to pensioners. Not allergy freindly. Manager not very approachable for assistance. They need to add a pensioner portion menu as almost everyone here is over 70 today.

Everything was super. The restaurant was nicely busy , being a sunny lunchtime. We sat outside and ordered tea and ploughman’s lunch. It arrived quite quickly and was delicious! The staff were all superb and couldn’t have been nicer, from the staff at the counter, where you order to the waiters who brought the food and cleared the tables. It was a pleasure to be in a very pretty restaurant, to be served lovely food by a whole team that were smiling and kind . Thank you very much !

Stop for loo break but decided to get drink first time lovely decorated but staff slow did not come over to ask if every thing fine.

The assistant who we dealt with was extremely helpful , knowledgeable and friendly . I believe her name was Bee . It was a pleasure to do business with her . She is a credit to the company

Slow service in the cafe. We called in today for coffee and to have lunch with friends. Ordered 2 coffees and waited 25 minutes for them! Unacceptable amount of time! Decided to give lunch a miss and went elsewhere and I can’t begin to imagine how long a food order would take. They said they only have one coffee machine. Well here’s a tip - get another one. Cafe was busy but everyone waiting for their orders.

Before purchasing plants my partner and I decided to treat ourselves to tea and cake at the cafe. The food had previously been lovely. The new decorous amazing, and you now order from the counter and your order is bought to your table by smartly dressed staff. We ordered two teas, a slice of cake and a scone at 2.55pm. At 3.25 our order arrived minus the scone which they had run out of. Half an hour for tea and cake is unacceptable, and we will sadly not be returning. It wasn't as though they did not have enough staff, and there weren't many customers. I hate to think how long we would have been waiting if we had ordered a hot meal. Please avoid.

We decided to go to "Charlottes Restaurant" at Landford Garden Centre after being recommended by friends. The décor was very different from the last time I went some time ago, much nicer. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was reasonable priced and very good. I did find the restaurant very busy which meant that it was also very noisy which made conversation difficult!

This cafe in the garden centre was one of my wife’s favourites. This visit however was a disaster. Coffees were only lukewarm, and our scones were significantly undercooked. This could have been forgiven if some concern had been shown when my wife told the staff, but no, no concern at all. So we shall not go there again, but we can recommend wholeheartedly the branch in Salisbury (out near the cattle market past Harnham :) which is splendid.

Tried the newly refurbished restaurant for morning coffee & cake, total disaster. You give your order at the till with a table number + it should be delivered to your table, it was 22 minutes later & the order was incorrect. How can this happen with 2 coffees & 1 piece of carrot cake? The staff need a great deal of training & there seemed to be a lot of them. I identified the manager eventually who was clearing tables whilst her staff were standing around unsure of what to do with no guidance it seems. I hate to think how long it would take to get hot food. The new decor seems insignificant when the service was so poor.

Just a visit for tea and cake and whereas the teas were very reasonable I was shocked at the cost for a very small piece of cake! Prices weren't clearly marked so my partner opted for a slice of cake that had a price board just behind it but it wasn't for the cake we purchased. Shocked when I checked the receipt later - £3.95 for, as I said, a very, very small slice. Staff were very pleasant and the cafe is very nice and clean but with those prices we wouldn't return.

Agree with review that said worst coffee ever. Mine was weak and tasteless. Only made bearable by a delicious blackcurrant crumble slice. Staff were friendly so no complaints there but disappointing to take my disabled husband there as a treat as we hadn’t been there before and not enjoy our morning coffee.

I have been here many times before and had great experiences save once which was a let down. On this trip we had a great time. My partner is quite picky but does like a good lasagne. The lasagne she had here was, in her words, the best she has had in two years. It is noteworthy thar the lasagne that trumped this one two years ago was from a well known Italian restaurant in Hythe called Amalfi. Second to an Italian restaurant is quite an accolade. Staff this time were lovely. In particularly a former teacher was particularly engaging and friendly.

Absolutely amazing lunch today at the cafe. We had cheese and onion rarebit which was the best I had ever tasted. It came with salad and crisps, we ordered 2 slices as came with one but one would have been plenty. The chicken burger was enormous it had 2 fillets in and the chips were out of this world. The pot of tea was also one of the best teas I have had. Latte also lovely. Staff all very attentive, friendly and helpful. This will be one of our regular stops for sure. Only thing I would say is maybe the in excess website could be updated to say there is a restaurant and have a current menu as we would have visited a long time ago had we known it was there

Visited for brunch. Firstly, no hot food due to staff shortages. This I understand, and although disappointed, decided to stop for coffee/tea and sandwich. The new (ish) member of staff was so abrupt, to the point of rudeness in correcting each customer with their orders/requests. I asked for a tea and a coffee to which she snapped "do you mean tea for one". The customer in front of me was suitable put in her place too, when she asked for a cheese quiche. She was rudely told "do you mean a cheese slice"? I would also mention that this tearoom has now become extremely overpriced... £7.95 for a sandwich... I had bought a "cheese, ham and chutney" option and there was no cheese in it at all. Decided not to complain for fear of being barked at again by the very hostile assistant/manager. I'm happy to pay £7.95 for a sandwich if accompanied by a few crisps or dare I suggest a welcoming smile from the staff. I think on reflection however that I will find an alterative venue for lunch/brunch in future, In Excess are not deserving of my hard earned money.

Absolutely the worst weakest coffee I have ever tasted, even and extra shot made no difference. The staff freely admitted the coffee was terrible.

Arrived for breakfast with ample time before the advertised cut off time to be told breakfast was no longer being served. Unmotivated and unsupervised staff found it all too easy to say no with no real explanation. When challenged a blank expression and a shoulder shrug is all that could mustered. If the staff hadn’t been too busy aimlessly wandering round or chatting with each other, perhaps the queue would have moved along quicker and breakfast could have been accommodated. Won’t be visiting again until some staff training has been carried out.

I was on a long drive from East Sussex to West Devon; my route included this road from the M27 to the A303, and I was looking for a coffee stop. Cafes at garden centres are usually OK, so just after 11am I turned into this one, which is set back a short distance from the road. Having ordered an Americano I was asked if I'd like anything else, and with breakfast already having been some hours ago, decided on a fruit scone. On the way to the pleasant outside seating area, there was a slight slope which caught me unawares and I spilled some of my coffee into the saucer and a little onto the tray. This must have been seen by staff, because as I sat down nearby I was surprised to find someone 'at my shoulder' with a large roll of kitchen paper immediately offering to mop it up - which was very attentive and helpful. A replacement coffee was even offered, which was not necessary. This customer service was much appreciated. I then enjoyed my coffee and scone in these peaceful surroundings, before continuing on my way.

Today the 19th June 2022. We decided to go for a Father’s Day breakfast At Langford garden center. On arrivel to the cafe there was a board which had a limited menu on it, being Father’s Day you would think they would have a big fry up breakfast on the menu, but no due to circumstances they had a reduced menu(again!) which was only a very limited selection of sandwiches. It was a disappointment that there was no breakfast. It seems that every time we come to the cafe there is only a very limited options of foods and alsways seems to be some excuse to why they can’t offer a full menu. I think since this cafe opened it has not had a full menu option, It’s sad to see a once lovely cafe taken over by a chain company and run into the ground. We are local to the area, and it would always be a lovely place to go for a tea and cake but unfortunately now after a number of times being let down by the place, I will not be returning.

This is in the middle of beautiful countryside just outside of Weymouth on the way to Wareham. The drive itself is worth the visit. The centre is very well stocked and covers a vast amount of plants, sheds, etc. They have a lovely cafe and toilet area as well which is wheelchair friendly.

Very nice garden centre lots of choice nice place to have a coffee. Can be a bit expensive on a lot of things so have to really look.

Avery good service for a Sunday lunch but it takes too long to pay for your meal so that it is difficult to keep hot!

Solo para el desayuno, ya que las opciones a lo largo de la A 36 son escasas, especialmente si no quieres pasar el tiempo en Salisbury o comer en una furgoneta al borde de la carretera.De todos modos, la comida y el servicio del Café en Wyevale era muy bueno, y tuvimos un desayuno muy sabroso. Took family to lunch on my birthday. Food was good, they could do with a bar licence. Interesting way to spend a Sunday, as you have the garden centre to look around also.

Hemos estado en algunos centros de Wyevale y en general este es uno de nuestros mejores tres. Personal siempre servicial, limpio y ordenado. Espacio para caminar y el restaurante tiene una buena sección de comida.No podemos culpar a este centro y esperamos su próxima visita. Nuestro agradecimiento a todo el personal servicial.

Una vez más, la esposa y yo fuimos al centro de jardinería para almorzar, comí carne de res y pancetta, la esposa tenía gammon con huevos y piña, ambos seguidos de flan de Navidad con salsa de brandy. Las comidas estaban picante cuando se coloca sobre la mesa y como la última vez que fuimos allí hace un tiempo las comidas eran de primera clase, todo el personal fue servicial y alegre. Como el título sugiere el lugar para almorzar para los mayores de 60, salvamos 11. 70 en adelante son dos comidas y postres. Cuando salgamos de nuevo, estaremos allí para almorzar.

Called in here for a quick coffee and snack on a Monday morning. Not overly busy so quick service. Lovely coffee and cake at a good price. What more could you want.

Al pasar por un área que rara vez visito, llamé para almorzar. Fue mi primera visita aquí. Después de haber seleccionado un plato principal, el muchacho detrás del mostrador me ofreció que podría tener un almuerzo que consistiera en una selección principal + 2 postres + té o café, todo por el mismo precio, ya que era un lunes, 8. 95. Estoy muy agradecido con él y el joven muchacho de la caja que trajo a mi gambas (muy bien) y más tarde a la mermelada roly poly (excelente). Por ese precio fue una excelente relación calidad-precio.Solo cuando miré el rollo de la caja fuerte más tarde vi que este precio especial era para OAP. Aún no llegué a ese hito. Supongo que debería estar abatido por parecer más viejo que yo, pero está más que compensado por la calidad y el servicio. Por no mencionar el dinero que ahorré.

llamado 30/10/17 para el almuerzo, mi esposa eligió el queso macaroni con ensalada y pan "delicioso" Elegí filete de gammon con guarnición y patatas fritas, el jamón era un filete de gammon adecuado NO una loncha de tocino! esto fue cocinado a la perfección. Sin duda lo recomendaría.también tomamos familia para el desayuno al día siguiente muy agradable y muy buena relación calidad-precio 3 desayunos ingleses xfull más 1 x bollo y café excelente llamará nuevamente. personal muy atento y amable.

We called when passing for a quick lunch and it was excellent. Staff were helpful and Service first class,even offered to top up the teapot,so good we called again on our return journey

There were four of us and we had tea for 2. Great value really freshly made and superb scones and cakes to die for. Good value will come back for more.

we were ignored by staff when there was no queue.I asked the staff if I ordered from the hot food counter and was told yes. I then asked the till staff. The woman behind the hot food counter told me she was busy.This was not obvious.

Lovely Afternoon Tea with my friend for her birthday treat! Freshly cut sandwiches, cakes and fruit scones, jam and clotted cream along with unlimited tea - and service with a smile! Thank you to Adam and Jeanet for making it special!

On the way back from a visit from Salisbury, we called into the garden centre as it showed a restaurant on the signage outside. Looking at the menu and specials board we noticed that they do an over sixty,s meal, that is lunch and a sweet. We both ordered fish and chips, the wife had sticky pudding to follow I had strawberry & chocolate ice cream. When the lunch arrived we both looked at each as to the amount on the plates, all the food was hot with more than we could eat. As soon as we finished the lunch we told the waiter and she brought out the sweet, A very good lunch indeed.
