Good busy place, what you'd expect from the chain pub. Online booking got lost, so they had a shuffle around. Waited about 10 minutes for the table.

10/10 experience, staff are incredibly welcoming and polite. Macie served my family and I- she was very helpful and smiley! Would definitely recommend 😌

Went on a daddy daughter date, for a nice Sunday roast dinner Purchased a beef Sunday roast with extra roast potatoes and an extra Yorkshire. Also purchased a kid meal of the same. I ended up paying through the green king app to make it easier than lugging the little one up to the counter to order. After eating the meal I ordered an extra large apple juice and chocolate cake with chocolate whipped cream. The food was delicious and filling, service was quick about a 10 minute wait from ordering on the app to food delivered. Very happy with the service

Came in for food at around 8:30/9 ish, served by Chloe and Chelsea, food was nice and hot, they were attentive and welcoming and made us feel comfortable and made sure everything was okay with our food, would definitely recommend to anyone

Tried too book a table for 14 people for a birthday meal at the cuckoo oak and got refused point blank when asked if we just come in would that be ok to be told you just won't get served not fair on over customers too have too wait so called up the wrekin giant and spoke too Chelsea she was fantastic and got us all booked in on the night there were only 3 members off staff with a full restaurant as it was they all did a fantastic job brilliant service and want to thank Kirsty to for a fantastic evening.we definitely all be coming back.

Booked a table for me and my son for a school holiday treat. Turned up and waited to be seated as instructed. Waited a while then eventually seated next the kitchen door and the dirty glass collection. Table rocked and the floor under our table had food on it. Witnessed other people simply walking in seating themselves at better tables than we were given? What was the point of booking? Waited at the bar to be served for about 10 mins as only one bar person appeared to be serving. Food arrived quickly and was Ok. Represented good value for money on the whole but wouldn’t recommend. Visited before and had a much better experience previously. Afraid this will be our last visit 😟

I often bring my nephew here who is 9 as the staff have always been friendly to him and he loves the attention ( and the toy machines!) tonight we visited with my mom also. When I went to the bar to order, the young guy asked if we had any allergies. My nephew is currently under investigation for possible food allergies that we are working through. The two guys that we spoke to there were very well informed and offered us a tablet with vegan dishes on to help us. My nephew then went and found Kirsty who he loves to see and she offered him to try some vegan ice cream. He is a massive ice cream fan but at the moment we are cutting out Milk etc. he absolutely loved the ice cream which is good if it might end up being a better alternative for him. ( it’s actually really nice!) we really appreciate the brilliant service which we always get from there which is why we keep going back. Thanks!😀

Great and friendly staff, Claire was an absolute star, professional and friendly. Visited the pub early in the morning on the 6th with my colleague. The place looks cozy, modern and vibrant. Definitely coming back.

Unfortunately although we had booked a table there was no one available to allocate us a table so we were unable to order our food via the App and when we tried the WiFi was poor so we had to go to the bar to order only to find that some items on the menu were out of stock. The food we got was not bad the dining experience was not one to remember. Disappointed and most probably will not go here again!

Front of house found us a table despite it being busy. Ordered using the app but there was an issue paying with PayPal, I had to reorder and used Google pay which worked. I was concerned as I had been charged twice, but did receive an automated refund for the PayPal transaction. Food arrived in a timely manner and was very good, excellent value for the Sunday lunch deal.

Came here for a wake. About 20, off us.very friendly staff we rushed off their feet with do many all together. They never stopped smiling and served us all in record time. Thank you all very much.

Visited here on Saturday, we booked a table beforehand. The manager called Lauren was lovely. It was very busy but the service was very good. We was told a wait on food as we were seated which we didn’t mind as we could see how busy it was. We tried the walk in festive menu, my mum had the soup which she said was really nice. We will definitely be rebooking for our next family meal.

Had a great Friday night meal, the service was amazing thanks to the special efforts of the manager Lauren I believe. The food was perfect just as I expected at a reasonable price as always and the atmosphere was lovely for the end of the week.

Great place to eat, especially for breakfasts / brunch. Large breakfast menu to suit all appetites. Can get very busy in here so if you don't like overly busy places then choose your time carefully - 8am usually pretty quiet! Great view over the lake and near the town park for walking off your breakfast. Friendly staff

A great place for hearty meals at very reasonable prices. Offers for every day of the week and actively encourages family meals. A menu full of popular pub grub, and a few non British dishes, that are well cooked and delivered quickly. Highly recommend.

What can I say, the girl with braces who served us at the till didn't have a friendly approach at all, she could see us waiting to be served and completely ignored us for a whole 10 minutes, very 1 word responsive, not only that but she absolutely reeked of B.O which was very unpleasant, we tried to choose the best possible table which was absolutely disgusting 🫣 food all over the floor not welcoming or hygienic in the slightest. Once we got our food it wasn't even hot but tepid luke warm and then hours later gained diarrhea and a bad stomach which I can only presume was from the food, and the glasses we received didn't look clean at all. Overall a very bad experience 😕 new management and team definitely needed here.

Every time I have been here the food had been incredible and the people are so nice

Wonderful meal today with my daughter, whilst there we witnessed a customer complaint where sadly staff were threatened and the manager dealt with it wonderfully ensuring that both customers and more importantly her staff were kept safe and free from anymore abuse. Staff went out of their way to apologise to us afterwards and ensure that our dining experience wasn’t ruined.
