Come here regularly, always amazing service. Kelly served us today and is amazing as usual, very friendly and provides excellent service.

The experience was very atmospheric and lovely one of the staff named Ryan England look after me and my freind well.He got us comfortable with layout of the wrekin giants areas.And he was incredibly helpful and passionate about his work and looking after customers such a kind soul and professional.

Nice place with fast service. The staff is incredibly friendly. I've started having breakfast here quite often. The breakfasts are delightful, with options to suit any taste. The coffee is also delicious!

I often come here for a bite to eat so I can say the food and drinks are always of amazing quality and quantity. Staff are always pleasant and friendly with Ryan being amazing in particular this visit. With amazing different deals throughout the week there's something for all the family to enjoy.

Aimee served us and it was absolute quality. Cannot ask for more for anyone in the industry. Answered all my questions and was a gem.

Booked a table this evening for my daughters birthday which was made extra special by Chelsea. When the desserts were bought out Chelsea had bought my daughters chocolate fudge cake out with a candle in and wished her happy birthday. Thank you Chelsea you made our evening.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Wrekin giant today, and I have to say the service was outstanding. Our waiter. (Kelly) was amazing from start to finish! She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. She was impressive and very patient with us. Not only did she check in regularly, but she also had a warm personality that made the experience even better. The food was delicious, but it was the excellent service that truly stood out. We’ll definitely be back, thanks to her Kelly. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for great food with even better service!

Excellent, friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble as we had an autistic person and several young children in our group. Food was speedy, tasty and hot. Very filling portions and the wife loved the wine

Thursday 18th Oct-24 saw us, a party of four, go to the Wrekin Giant. We ordered via the app, which was quick and easy to use. The drinks arrived almost immediately. The food was excellent. I had the mini mixed grill with everything cooked well. We also had burgers which were great. We followed that with desserts, my sticky toffee pudding was one of the best I've had. All in all, a great night, a good atmosphere, great service (shout out to Claire), and all at a reasonable price. Four people, drinks mains and dessert for around £75. Will go again for sure.

Great food and amazing staff, food arrived quickly and the staff always serve with a smile and a ‘go too’ attitude. Always makes us feel welcome. We are regulars of the pub and didn’t recognise a few staff member but the servers and the lady behind the bar served with a smile with great manner. Sonny as always is bubbly and full of energy, great to see.

Sunny and Lauren were fab! Fantastic customer service and super friendly and helpful. Couldn't look after us enough. We love coming here for big family gatherings. Chil-friendly and relaxed. One minor point would be music as we had children with additional needs and it made them louder talking over music. But other than that, perfect!

The bartender Brandon was amazing, helping me to choose what drinks and food to have, with his recommendations. The food was also perfect, I had the lamb kofta flatbread

Sunny greeted us and got us seated very quickly. He got colouring sheets and crayons for my 3 young children and was very accommodating. In the rush of ordering, I forgot to order one of the kids meals and the team sorted it for me straight away and got the meal out within minutes. Thank you for a lovely lunch!

Awful experience. There was no one in the bar to take our order with other customers waiting before and after us. Table was sticky so had to clean with a wipe. It was much dirtier than it looked. Some of the cutlery was dirty and the seats needed cleaning of sauce drips etc. We had 3 meals, they were all cold and hardly any of it. One had under-cooked chips. One had scampi that was so cold they didn't look safe to eat. As for the veggie option, I've added a photo! All stone cold with a few cardboard chips. This cost £10.99!! We complained that it was all cold and as everything else was gross we wanted to go else where. We were offered our money back (for the food only). They then proceeded to give a refund of the incorrect amount so my husband had to go back to the till again to sort it out. Hungry horse pubs used to be good with lots of hot food filling a plate. What has gone wrong?

Been in the past but this time food was awful. Left most of the meal. Steak chewy and more fat than anything. As well as this the other elements to the food were just bland and no taste. Chicken wings were again no taste and hardly any meat, more fat and bone so left most. Staff don't seem to be interested, won't visit again

Worst meal I have had . The starter came out with the main meal, my steak which I asked for medium was well done and my daughters sweet corn was so cold you could squeeze the water ouf of it .

I have always had a really good experience here. The staff are always so helpful, kind and accommodating. As a wheelchair user I feel comfortable, welcomed and there's adequate facilities/ space. We had such a lovely welcome from Sunny today too. Great service. Yummy, fair priced food too.

Went for lunch there this week, food was good and served quickly by a lovely waitress (didn't get her name), served at the bar by Giorgio very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks, they seemed to be the only ones working in the bar/restaurant but were both still smiling and checking on their customers satisfaction even though it was quite busy, well done them two a lot to do just two of them.

Love service by Harrison and Jamie and the food came out hot and it was lovely food

Lovely welcome on arrival from Tamara who gave excellent service with a smile which added to a great atmosphere for us all. They both served us quickly and politely and we will definitely be returning in the future and the food deals are amazing for adults and kids and highly recommended. 5 stars all around!

I really enjoy this place, so warming and good atmosphere. All staff are friendly, food was served in good time and looked as good as it tasted. I have been many times and will always mention this pub when having an occasion for a gathering whether it's work meeting or family time or bday meals etc. Highly recommended 😁 loved my iced latte, Claire begind the bar was a 10/10 and thr general manager was very welcoming:)

Excellent pub (part of Hungry Horse chain). 1. Very reasonable prices (full english breakfast was cheaper than Sainsburys) 2. Food portions were good 3. Had lovely evening meal and came back for breakfast next day 4. Fast service 5. Friendly staff Couldn't fault the food, service, price or anything. Thank you. We were staying in the nearby Travelodge and this was so convenient

We came today for the Sunday dinner £10 and a drink, we have always said you get what you pay for. To say it was bad would be a understatement ! cold microwaved, frozen, bland food. Small black hair found on my wife's food ? We noticed through the kitchen door one member of kitchen staff with a black beard, surely you should be wearing a beard net ? My god it was bad !!!

I popped in here for some food and some drinks with friends, and had the best welcoming by the manager Claire she was extremely helpful and sweet. She was just lovely, and welcomed us with the best, biggest and warmest smile ever. I have never felt so welcomed in a restaurant before. She also helped me with anything I asked, Claire is the best part of management and I hope she stays there for years and years. Thank you again Claire

Sunny was an absolute banging server for us tonight and Ryan was the best help we could’ve had, so welcoming and couldn’t stop laughing and smiling at the hospitality these two had!! Better than bloody Birmingham that’s for sure 😂😂

Took my granddaughter for food yesterday, found a table which didn’t have a reserved card on. Once we did we ordered drinks before we looked at the menu, the young man who Serviced me was very Pleasant and helpful. minutes of sitting down after ordering food a different staff member came and told me he had just taken a phone booking and I had to get a move on as they wanted the table, when I stated I had only just ordered our food he told me surely I could be quick and go before they turned up. Within minutes of the food being brought out he was asking if everything was ok and. Would we be much longer and hope everything was ok. My granddaughter didn’t even get to finish her pudding or her drink as he was hanging about making us feel very uncomfortable, it’s a place I will never return to again. Don’t go unless you ask if you have more than 10 minutes without get harassed to eat up and leave.

Atmosphere was calm and nice, Food tasted lovely (although my son wasn't fond of the flatbread kids pizza - bit wet and sloppy).

I'm sorry but this was very bad food in general. The Pizza for my child was tasteless...so bad she just had 1 slice and nobody really wanted the leftovers. Overcooked and bland beef steak (we ordered medium but came well made). Child burgers were also a bit disappointing but I'll imagine ok for kids that don't mind what they have, but I tried a bit of leftover from my child and was not impressed by that that tony overcooked/gummy pattie. Korean BBQ burger is overpriced in my opinion and again, I was not impressed by it. My expectations on food from pub chains are low, yes... but I've had better pub food even recently in other locations, including the options for kids. Service/attention was good at least.

Visited on the 3rd September 2024 for my 24th birthday, and I have to compliment the whole team for their great customer service and the amazing quality of food. We had Rhys assist us with our visit and he was brilliant, friendly and approachable. When the birthday cake come out, I have to admit that the experience was amazing! Thank you ever so much and we hope to come again very soon!

Had a nice family meal at the Wrekin Giant great customer service from Kelly and Kirsty. They both were very helpful, respectful and down to earth. I would recommend to anyone who wants a nice family meal out at a good reasonable price to go to The Wreckin Giant in Telford. I give The Wreckin Giant five stars out of five for their great service and staff.

I went to this pub for convenience, I downloaded the app, it was rubbish, but then we were served by Sunny he was extremely helpful and as we ate he we could hear him serving customers. This guy has extremely good customer service

Absolutely disgusted and upset at what happened I went for bday meal with friends to have one of the waiters spill bbq sauce all down me which ruined my day as I felt very embarrassed and went home straight away I later went home and washed my clothes that had been covered including my £56 skims top hoping the stains would both come out intact they didn’t staff where useless and the manager just apologised not even a refund or anything I will be contacting them about my experience there as it’s not fair they have ruined my clothes now P.s the girl who had spilt the sause on me before begged me not to tell her manager and then I found out that the manager hadn’t been informed of the situation so thanks alot

Stopped here for tea on the way to our hotel and generally wished we hadn’t. Service was ok to be fair, but the food standard was shocking. The kids meals looked like they’d been left under heat lamps for a long time. The Sunday roast was anything but the ‘epic’ stated on the menu, with overdone roast potatoes and old fashioned terrible school dinner style turkey. (It tasted like it had been boiled!). This too looked like it had been left under heat lamps for an eternity, making the gravy have a skin and the mashed potatoes having a dry top. The crowing glory however was the vege burger, which can only be described as a hockey puck and had to go back and meant my wife ended up eating on her own. No offer of a free drink or something to compensate for the inedible food. Considering the restaurant is located between a dozen or so other eateries, like Nandos and Pizza Express, we came away disappointed.

Awful. Ordered a roast and the roast potatoes looked like lumps of coal - completely burnt. Shameful that the kitchen staff even thought it would be ok to plate them up looking like that. The jug of gravy may as well have been jelly, it was a congealed slop that certainly wasn't pourable. The pigs in blankets were the worst I've ever tasted and the mash wasn't even 'mashed' after coming out of the microwave- just plopped onto the plate with thick overcooked sections and a crust. Overall very disappointed with the food and would not recommend. Also there is a loose piece of carpet on the stairs to the toilets, it's a major tripping hazard. I mentioned it to a staff member who said she was aware but the sellotape wouldn't hold it. Well maybe try a more secure solution before somebody trips and falls down the stairs...!?

Good food and drink and nice staff

Came in for a meal with the family and was seated promptly and was amazed by the wide variety of food and drink to choose from. The servers were very quick and professional and the food was delightful. This was all down to the Tamara and Lauren, who made it a great experience

Ordered classic chicken new yorker. The chicken tasted like it has just come out of the fridge. It was chilled. I had to send it back. Fortunately the replacement was hot.

Mushroom starter was pathetic not as described was 4 tiny mushrooms on a dry piece of bread Mixed grill was inedible beef was grey, chicken rock hard, sausages dry Had 2 iced lattes both were undrinkable due to milk floaters like gone off milk had been used No service at all had to get own knifes forks etc Only thing that was ok was mac n cheese which had prob been microwaved

Nice pub with good food. The staff were friendly and polite. Lauren was helpful with modifying my burger and checked it was ok when she brought it over to the table. All other staff were friendly and helpful too.
