Lovely local pub. Very friendly and welcoming. Then we sat down to eat….. we all agreed that this was some of the best Indian food we had all eaten. The lamb was clearly slow cooked before being introduced to the curry and it melted in your mouth. The sauce was so flavoursome. If you fancy a midweek beer and a fantastic curry, get yourself up there!!!

Heard that this was a good place to go for a curry and we weren’t disappointed! This is a pub that serves indian menu food and English food. All staff were extremely friendly and we soon gave our order. I had chicken tikka masala, pilau rice chilli garlic naan and we had poppadoms to start. All our food was hot tasty and a good portion. Not your usual pub grub - much better. They also had fish & chips chicken nuggets etc if you don’t fancy Indian food. Will definitely be visiting again. They also do take away and delivery.

Great food . Grabbed a takeaway out and the welcoming was beautiful. Ordered two vegetarian dishes as my husband is vegetarian. Really good veg/vegan choices. The food was beautiful and authentic. (Not the usual Indian takeaway style , better) The tubs were a little smaller , however . They were packed with goodness and not just mostly gravy/sauce ). Important when going veg/vegan The price, quality and amount is very good value too. The roti bread and pilau rice was of top standard. I ordered some of the BBQ wings from the starter section. (Amazing) Looking forward to the next one. Will be exploring the menu for sure So yeah ... Tuck in . Eat in or takeaway

The most delicious Indian food we’ve had in a very long time!! Absolutely stunned at how good it was, was not expecting such an amazing meal! It’s in a dark old style pub but the food is top class!!

The food was excellent and the staff service was brilliant. I asked a cousin to come over and try the mixed grill as we have been to lots of pubs and Indian bar grills and this is the best in Shropshire hands down. The quality of the food was spot on and your staff attentiveness and politeness is not something you would see in your average pub. Well done 5 stars 🌟

Really friendly welcome :-) Hadn’t booked a table but they found room for us to eat in the bar. Poppadoms, Saag Paneer, Lamb Pathia, naan and pilau rice were spot on. I am fussy with flavours and salt so happy to say would unreservedly recommend. Really nice rose wine which was perfect with the spice. Already planning a date for a return visit. Maybe a midweek treat…

Simply stunning. The best Indian food in Telford, maybe anywhere. Staff are amazing, wonderful atmosphere. Mixed grill amazing, balti, madras, jalfrezi, vindaloo superb. You really can't go wrong with any dish. Very reasonably priced, fantastic service, honestly can't fault it.

Hi, I have given a 5 star review across all three categories, however I can’t comment about the atmosphere as we had a takeaway. This was the first time in ordering and it will not be the last. Ordered at 18:00 with an estimated delivery time of 18:40, arrived 18:30, great. The food itself was the best takeaway we have ever had since moving here to Shifnal. Two curry dishes and a large mixed grill, everything was absolutely amazing, flavours out of this world. Many thanks to all the staff, from the chef to the delivery driver, fantastic. Can’t wait to order again. Many thanks

Just had a fantastic meal here! Great, authentic Indian cuisine in a relaxed & friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend the mixed starter & North Indian Chili Chicken curry. We’ll definitely be back for darts, pool & karaoke.

Awesome!!! Amazing food, all freshly cooked and tasty, had poppadoms to start, chicken balti with masala chips and naan bread, didn't leave a lot, it was tasty and piping hot, service was spot on, very well priced for what you get, will definitely go back again.

This is the best Indian food I’ve had in Telford. The food is delicious, tasty, beautiful. The service is exceptional. They said if I felt my dish was too garlicky for me, they would cook another one. So kind. All the staff are friendly, welcoming. The atmosphere is friendly and professional. Price of food is great value for money. I recommend my food to anyone, poppadoms with beautiful colourful dips, chicken tikka starter, my companion had chilli paneer. Yummy! I had a main of North Indian garlic chilli chicken, was so tasty, we shared rice and we had a Naan each. My friend had a curry of lamb made to their liking. Tell them your likes and dislikes because nothing is too much trouble. I will be returning!

I have eaten here several times now and the food has always been amazing. They serve traditional fresh indian food, which is reasonably priced. The service is great and the atmosphere is very friendly. Best indian food i have tasted. The Keema Matar curry is amazing but my new favourite is the North Indian Chilli Chicken curry.

We booked a table with friends for New Years Eve. The food was exceptional! Freshly cooked and some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had. It was very tasty and beautifully presented. Service is great and the atmosphere too superb. We’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommended to all. 👍

Wow, where do I start…. On arrival we had the most wonderful greeting from the bar staff. The beer (Guinness) was lovely, we took our time to read the menu and ordered our food with some expert advice from the staff. Food arrived and it was amazing, 10/10 the chef is very talented and authentic, we both enjoyed our food and will returning very soon. I would like to mention they have a takeout service and if you don’t see what you fancy the chef is very capable of making your chosen dishes.

A very nice pub with very friendly staff/ owner.

Go to the Bell and Bails probably about once a month or when opportunity allows. Its a friendly , trouble free, traditional style pub. Very friendly landlord and bar staff who make you feel welcome. For entertainment there's karaoke, Sky sports with all the main matches, good selection of beers as a Freehouse so not tied to any one brewery. Been going for at least 3 - 4 years and can recommend for a both a quiet pint or a lively evening.

Called at 22.20 on Boxing Day evening and asked if I could still enter with my friends. I was rudely told we are about to close, even though on their website says 12am close. Spoke to an extremely rude man who told me don’t bother going as we are closing soon. When I explained I live locally and can walk there in a couple of minutes and asked an we come in for one he continued to to be abrubt and say no don’t bother ‘we have enough regulars’. Steer clear. When pubs in residential areas say this they really cannot complain when business is poor. Please choose one of the other number of pubs in St George’s before entering this unwelcoming pub!

I came here from newtown as i got told it had two nice pool tables, for me on the day was perfect, nice friendly welcome and great pool tables, will definately be back again

First visited this pub to book a wake they were very friendly and helpful. On the day of the wake the spread was excellent also laid on hot water 4 tea & coffee nothing was to much trouble.

Great pub, nice decor, great food, good range of drinks at reasonable prices. I would have rated it higher but for one thing, the amount of bad language some customers were using. This is a food pub, where people take families, probably not for a second time when they hear people swearing their heads off. Shame as its a nice pub

Visit with a Breakfast Club Excellent breakfast and really good value for money. Bacon, Sausage, egg (one of each) beans, tomatoes and toast (or fried bread or bread and butter) - £4 inc mug of tea. Black pudding, hash brown, mushrooms are 50p extra each. Further mugs of tea are £1 Quick service, freshly cooked to order and the Landlord owner and staff are all friendly folk. More than ample portions - satisfies me and I have a good appetite A bigger breakfast is available but never tried it - will have to accept the challenge one day!
