23th of October, whaduu(i hope I get the real spelling, dark, tall a bit) is the name of my waiter, he deserve a medal, he's exceptionally good, good customer service, polite and made us comfortable, we love to see his face more in whiteheart as we keep coming . Very polite staff, great service. So glad Ellie is back, she will keep this place going with a smile and will hopefully get the punters back. She's loved by all and was sorely missed

The reception on arrival was warm & very welcoming. The service was spot on, time to settle, order drinks & then choosing/ordering food. The carvery was the best I have experienced in a long time. Good choice of meats(3), with Salmon/Veggie alternative. The vegetables were very good &, surprisingly the roast potatoes that most Sunday lunch offerings always get wrong. Starter choices were good & I would highly recommend the squid. Choice of sweets was decent, although the first two courses were more than enough for me. Only downside was that the ale was limited to bottles of Doombar.
