Ocean City Swallow in Bexley

See photo. chicken curry, tasted weird with a dodgy texture, spat it out to find it PINK, CUT OPEN OTHER PIECES AND 1 BIT HAD BLOOD IN it was that raw. Contacting food inspector about this place because there's absolutely no excuse for raw chicken, especially on a Monday early evening when they weren't even busy. If I get food poisoning from this I will be suing them!

Only 3 stars on food hygiene. This explains why I've seen pineapples on the floor. Food is not nice anymore.. prawns are tough and definitely not fresh or tastey. Overpriced and poor quality. We have used an alternative Chinese for 8+ months, based in eltham. The other restaurant is around £10+ cheaper overall on orders and tastes so much better. I would never return or recommend Ocean City.

This was the nastiest I’ve ever had the sweet and sour prawns were hard like cardboard rice soggy noodles had so much soya sauce it was dark brown everything had to be binned. Will never order from this place again. Avoid this place like the plague. This place doesn’t deserve any stars.

I don’t usually leave reviews but just to save another soul; DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I ordered from here by accident and was very disappointed. Roxi was soggy , prawns stale , chow mien stale! Genuinely one of the worst Chinese takeaways I’ve ever tasted this is no way an exaggeration. There’s another takeaway called Golden Star. Go there instead much better.

Delicious wholesome food, clean nice packaging and generous portions. Bit pricey but worth it. We ordered Japanese stir fried udon noodles pork (L), Japanese crispy dumpling (Gyoza) standard chicken & vegetable (7), Crispy Szechuan Aromatic Duck with Extra Pancakes (6) and extra spring onions & cucumbers. Food was perfect the noodles were not swimming in grease nice and dry. Dumplings were very crispy but soft at the same time. Crispy duck was also very delicious. The service was really quick and efficient. Will order again !!!

Paid a fair whack for a king prawn and pineapple dish for 1/2 prawns and what seemed to be a whole pineapple.

I ordered some food for the dinner this evening. First of all the Singapore noodles was the worst noodles I have ever had. The menu said it was vermicelli noodles but instead it was flat rice noodles and the taste was no where near how a Singapore style noodles should be. It was sweet and sour with no spice. Second pathai noodles has no taste, just fully curry powder. Nothing like how I have had in other places. Third the Yung Chow Special Mixed Noodles was breaking apart and was overwhelming with soya sauce it left a bad taste in my mouth. Please don't fool people the names on the menu and give something horrible like that. I will never order from here again and will not recommend for others. The only good thing about this order was the free prawn crackers.

The only decent Chinese in the area. I order from here regularly, definitely phone and speak to them directly as they have their own delivery drivers and the food arrives within 20 mins! The kung pao chicken from here is brilliant. Great portion sizes and they actually listen on the phone when you ask to remove certain bits. Always comes in a lovely box with free prawn crackers and fortune cookies. Thank you :)

Not the best Chinese food. My crispy chilli chicken was reheated mush from a microwave and the sauce was pure sugar saturated soy sauce. I’m sorry but the standards here are appalling. The rice was old and the dishes were not fresh.

Worst Chinese I've ever had and I'm not fussy. Sweet and sour chicken tasted stale and was mostly batter. Most of it went in the bin. Absolutely gross

I would give 0 if I could. They state on Just Eat that they can cook things separately if needed, and have recipes on the menu which are clearly gluten free but when I called to enquire I was immediately told that nothing is gluten free "because of soy sauce" etc. Clearly it is too much effort to actually cook things separately or not add soy sauce and this statement should probably be removed from the site.

Always fantastic, hot, fast delivery, crunchy stir fried veg, great flavours. Order from here all the time, never been disappointed

Amazing food, always fresh and delivered hot. The food is never greasy, always lightly crisp when fried and they never use MSG so you don’t feel like total rubbish after eating it 😊 They’re also SUPER friendly and write notes if you ask them to! My boyfriend sent me Chinese and asked them to write a note on the box. I was super chuffed

Wow, this takeaway has gone downhill FAST. Used to really like this Chinese. Ocean City is a bit more expensive than other takeaways, but I do not mind spending a bit more if the food is nice. With that in mind, the last couple of meals we have had have not been great, but nether the less, I know how nice the food can be. Just had a delivery, we ordered a rice, chow mein, shredded crispy chilli beef, chips and a sauce. The so called "beef" was terrible. It was literally a pile of batter. Gross. Threw that away immediately. The chips were warm ups too. Rice was okay, and the chow mein really dry. Such a shame and a let down. Won't be getting any more deliveries from here.

Horrible! Dry, tough old food! Nasty! Faught to get 50% refund but should have had full! Sent meal back, almost untouched, never again!

Ordered a few things ie chips curry source shreaded chicken prawn toast ect. Come to over 30 pound witch I thought was expensive for what we got. The chicken was hollow just tasted like salt chips cold burnt only thing that tasted half decent was prawn toast. Not worth it at all waste of money clearly they don't care about food quality also rang them to tell them about the food sent something else also tasted awful. So thanks for that learnt my lesson to stay away from this place.👍 Wasn't even offered a refund ✌

Best chinese around the local area reasonably priced. Recommend the shredded aromatic duck cooked perfectly.

The most disgusting chicken udon soup I've ever had. Took one bite of the spongey chicken and threw it out. It was just soy sauce water. Do you use real chicken?? Terrible, complete waste of money. Also can you explain the 3/5 hygiene rating? It can't be that difficult to keep it clean back there. Yuck.

This place is a real nightmare because the food on a good day is the best for miles. But on a bad day it's just and terrible as most of the other around here. Tonight meal was just that! A really great sauce very nice pork but the veg was simply put in with the sauce and didn't seem like they even cooked it at all. I am not one for mushy veggies but some cooking IS required. This used it be amazing but it's just not worth the risk any more as most likely it will be bad.
