Good reasonable priced food , ready on time

We’ve been ordering from Bengal Spice for the last 6 months, and it’s consistently fantastic! The food is always delicious, with generous portions that never disappoint. Tonight, we had the chicken balti, vegetable biryani, naan bread, and a drink, and everything was perfectly cooked. As a lovely surprise, they included extra Bombay Aloo as a complimentary treat! The online ordering process is super easy, and paying cash on delivery is a convenient option. There’s a wide variety of options on the menu, so there's always something new to try. Highly recommend Bengal Spice for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine!

The food was very “meh”. The butter chicken was as sweet as a dessert and full of what i suspect is coconut? Very bizarre to me. The rest of the food was fine, but several other dishes were very sweet to me. I have a sweet tooth, but these dishes are meant to be savory. Very weird and don’t recommend.

The Owner is a cheater and menu is over priced, they will add extra drinks and a service charge on your bill,( double check your bill) The palace was old looking , damp and cold and looks a if it has not been decorated since 1980, the service was slow one item brought out at time.food was oily and bland, never going back other places offer far more for less money

NEVER EAT HERE. Worst service ever. They lied to us about our order kept us waiting for over an hour and still it didn’t turn up. No apology terrible phone manors just lies.Will never order from here again.

We just made an order on Uber eats, the food was absolutely lovely. The order was accurate, our starter from last time we ordered was missing but they resolved this and brought with this order with no complications or hassle. Nice food. But gave me one bill, once we had paid tried to give me a bill which was £30 extra, even after paying service charge. Food took to long. Won't go back again.

Vile customer service! Food arrived wet, everything had come out in the bag. When I called them to explain, was told not their problem and that it's up to the delivery driver to sort. A family meal totally wasted. The one dish we could save some of, the sag paneer, was bland, tastlness and dull. AVOID!

Ordered online and collected. We have not had indian take away for a long time, but fancied a change. Food was lovely. Had lamb pasanda and lamb sagwala. Both had lots of lamb and nice thick sauce. Prawn puree and onion barjee starters were really good. Very pleased with our choice and will return when we next fancy a change

Just don’t go! If you’re thinking about reading more reviews, don’t! Just don’t go! Lots of good curry houses to choose from in the area, avoid at all costs!

Went with family for Mother’s Day. Had booked table yet when arrived table hadn’t been set so had to wait. No menu, buffet or drinks menu given. Went to get starters and half dishes empty and had to ask if can fill them up. When went to get mains had to ask to be refilled, same with rice and bread. Felt like I spent half the time asking for it to be refilled. No one asked if wanted drinks so had to ask for drinks menu. Then no one came back to take order, had to ask. Starter food was ok but curries were bland and the sauce very runny. When been to other places papadums normally included in buffet price so asked for 5. When got bill they added on £10 for the papadums and dips. I spoke to staff and said when I asked for papadums they did not mention they weren’t part of buffet and have to pay extra. He then got a buffet menu and said see it isn’t on the menu. I said we weren’t given menus. if I am paying for them then you can take the service charge off. Then he returned the bill and I paid. I said Menus should be given and put on the table. Then the staff got quite rude and gave me the £10 back and continued to say they are not part of buffet and I said you should give customers menus so they know . Won’t be going back again - rude, bland food, bad customer service, customers shouldn’t have to spend half the time asking for the buffet to be filled, staff should keep an eye on it and keep refilling. Charged extra £1 per person cause Mother’s Day but got nothing extra.

Food here is amazing but the delivery is dreadful and rude. Ordered 5 times in woolwich and the food is amazing. BUT People who deliver the food are rude and have a go at you in a nasty way for everything; picking the food up 5 mins early; not answering your intercom but walking down to make it easier. DONT MATTER that you are a regular customer who pays over the odds for the food. Your delivery people are dreadful; love the food but give me a good chance to give a tip to the delivery people please. They’ve lost what it means to represent their company. Idiots

Just been to the Bengal Spice this evening as my wife wanted to treat me. We got there at 5pm and was offered any table. We elected to have the four course banquet. We where asked if we wanted drinks, we decided to have a Diet Coke each until I found out it came out of a warm already opened bottle. I said I didn’t want it. He told me I could have a can. He poured half of the can in to my class and the rest into my wife’s and topped it up from the warm bottle straight away it was flat. We ordered out dinners but we had to pay extra as my wife wanted biryani which was £2.50 extra. I ordered chicken tikka phall. The biryani was very chewy and my wife palmed it off to me. My phall was tasteless. The onion bargees where under cooked and very doughy in the middle. The whole experience was rather drap surrounded by old and tired decor. We only went there as we was in the area but I’m afraid never again. We took most of it home to see if I could work a miracle on it. They added a service charge to the bill as well. So as far as we where both concerned a waste of money. A store takeaway tastes better.

A nice meal for a fair price. Have had a few good meals in here over the years. One dish (a new dish so understandable) wasn't up to scratch and without me even asking it was removed from the bill. Never had to wait long for service from friendly staff, glass never empty for long and toilets clean too, alas they are up a handful of steps though so not great for my mother who has mobility issues. Restaurant is just over a dozen paces from the bus stop so no one needed to drive, great for those who want to enjoy a few drinks with their meal.

Brilliant food, some of the best Indian food I've had outside the Midlands, but staff could be slightly unwelcoming when serving the food.

Curry was warm enough, although the expensive prawn curry was burnt as was one of the onion bhaji - not overly impressed. Have to try somewhere else next time....

We have ordered a take-away from here a few times and the food is always lovely and hot. The staff serving us are always so friendly and welcoming too. Great value for money too.

Ordered on Valentine’s Day and my order was wrong missing two items. Of course it’s busy which I understand but should check before it goes out. I rang up and they said sorry, but it took another hour for the 2 missing items to arrive. So in total I waited 2 hours for food, one hour at first and then another hour for the missing items. We was looking forward to it all day and felt like the evening was let down by this. The food is okay and some items were bland in taste and not a lot for portion size. Some of it was really nice but it’s just not good enough and will not be using them again!!!!!!

As it is my birthday we decided we would get a Indian takeaway from our favourite restaurant (would of preferred to come in) i ordered at 4.30 and was told it would be a hour, it came before the hour but wasn't very happy the poppadoms were stale and the food had no taste at all, we are now thinking of trying another restaurant feom now on

First time we have had a takeway from Bengal spice and it was fantastic. Also our first takeaway during the Lockdown. A new favorite, we look forward to our next meal. I loved to Chilli chicken marsala.

Love this place, lovely food and lovely staff, ordered a takeaway tonight for my daughters 19th birthday (would have preferred to eat in) we didn't get our proper order, rung up and they rectified it straight away nothing too much trouble

We ordered on line as our normal Indian take away was closed. The food was cold. We only got 3 lamb chops and not the 5 we paid for. The starters were fine, but the rest of the food was so disappointing. It was cold, tasteless and tough. Most of it is in the bin. Never again.

My family has just eaten a Fabulous meal. It arrived on time, was piping hot. Very tasty meal indeed. Will definitely be ordering again 10/10 Bengal Spice

Booked a table for two when we arrived we had to wait for ages before anybody appeared to welcome us. We actually felt like walking out, there was folk in front of us & folk behind us waiting , that was really bad there was just one girl on serving again really bad. Am sorry to say we will not be back & will let friends know how bad the service was.

I rarely have a bad curry but Bengal Spice was just that. I’m writing this review a week after my takeaway from Bengal as I’m currently sitting here eating my usual curry which is delicious. Bengal spice gave me two watery curry’s which lack no flavour at all. All food was luke warm which is bizarre as the place is only round the corner. Utter rubbish, close down!!

Friendly staff. Good service. Food was average. Less salt. And not spicy enough for Indian food. No ramp for buggy or wheelchair access. Staff was ever willing to help lift the buggy above the steps.

Never used this place before. My mum lives nearby and I thought I will get a takeaway from here. Food was very greasy and tasteless. I cannot believe a chef would think that this food was good to eat. Never again. Waste of money.

I was really looking forward to my food however, I found a hair cooked in my papadom, it's vile!!!!!

In 35 years of eating Indian food, this has to be the worst ever! Not very warm, not much content and tasteless. Supposed to be Lamb and Mushroom biryani. Probably one mushroom chopped up and half a dozen sugar cube-sized bits of "meat" or gristle. The vegetable curry tasted of nothing and contained very little. They weren't busy, I was the only customer (no surprise!) so no excuses. This also gave the waiter the opportunity to stand and watch me eat - a little uncomfortable.

We went on Banquet Night.... 4 ladies on a catch up!! £9.95 for starter & mains & sides.. This offer runs Monday-Thursday. Excellent value ... very tasty dishes.. Service attentive.. without over fussing! Small intimate area but not uncomfortable. I have many deliveries from this restaurant and can highly recommend the food and and delivery time!!

Food is always cooked to perfection both eat in and take away. Staff are very polite and friendly. Prices are also very good never too expensive and the meal for one on the takeaway menu is amazing value for money ! Definetly recommend.

Quoted 18:10, arrived 19:00. No update from restaurant or JustEast - had to keep (trying) to call. Food was lukewarm but we ate anyway as starving. Could tell would have been tasty if arrived on time. Advice to Bengal Spice: hire additional chefs and delivery drivers!

Worst Indian I've had in a while, the food arrived luke warm, there was poppadom sauce and salad but no poppadoms? Or is that an extra charge?? The Duck Tikka was ridiculously small for £4, 5 acorn size bits of meat in a container of onion? I wish I could post a picture, it's almost comedic.

Chicken went from chewy to dry, chips were soggy, half cooked and cold. We've had an order similar to this before so that was definitely the last time we order from Bengal spice.

Food was delivered coldish. Called restaurant to say that I would come and return delivery and pick up a new order. Was told he would call back after talking to manager but missed the call so just ate food. Even though the food was coldish still tasted lovely. Only complaint really as this is the first time it's turned up cold. Still think that it is the best Indian in welling

Food as always tastes great but it took nearly two hours to arrive (an hour more than the app promised when I submitted order ) and was consequently cold when it arrived. Staff at restaurant were apologetic, but delivery driver less so.

Deliver 15 minutes longer than forecast, although the main meal was good and hot, but disappointed with the side dishes that were just warm! Also I phoned and complained about not receiving the advertised Free Side dish. They advised it was a Just Eat problem as my request didn't show on the order that they received?

They forgot my drink and the Naan bread was overdone and the egg rice was not very nice whatsoever.
