We went today for our anniversary. The staff were very kind, polite and helpful. Accommodated to all our needs. The food was completely amazing! Very hot. Best Indian we’ve been too. Restaurants was very clean. We would definitely come again and make it a regular.

Very over priced, especially the main dishes. Both mains we ordered had very limited meat in them especially the lamb dish. The naan breads was under cooked which made the base doughy and sticky on both. Service charge automatically added also which didn’t realise till we left. Overall experience I won’t be returning, very expensive for quality you would expect to be a lot higher.

Lovely place, 5 star reccomend to anyone who craves curry.

Lovely food, beautifully presented, very attentive staff, reasonably priced. Easy to find in the village, near Bexley Station, with pkenty of parking nearby.

We had a lovely family evening for grandson's birthday. Great food and a good atmosphere. Helpful waiters. We will definitely dine there again.

A quiet little Inidian under the arches, with very helpful staff, quick service and attentive, and great food. We called late and asked if they could squeeze a large group in, and they not only accommodated, but stayed open after closing time, so we didn’t have to rush our meal. Great Service!

Not the best to be fair three chilly rating and have kormas the same strength Ordered onion fried rice and and arrive 4 mins after the main curry which always make me think? But hey ho then got the bill with a service charge Never saw that on the menu!!! Avoid

Great Gem, hidden under the Arches.

Absolutely love this place! Have been coming here for nearly 7 years and never had a bad meal. Some of the reviews mention the price but you certainly get what you pay here for…….excellent food and service. I recently went to another Indian restaurant and there was hardly any difference in the cost but they didn’t match up to Baltizer! It’s a very cosy restaurant with very attentive staff.

Great food and lovely atmosphere the only thing that let's it down it the vibrations everytime a time comes overhead but that isn't controlled by the restaurant

Dear me, where do I start… SO OVERPRICED‼️😳 Went there during Christmas and when I walked in they said I didn’t have a table booked when I did and then they eventually realised… not a nice way to welcome you. The food was good as expected but the atmosphere was DEAD, I asked to put the music up and they said they can’t, they did NOT sell lamb chops, NO fish pakore etc. The tables are very small and the bill came to over £100 for 3 people which is ridiculous! Wish I never went, must’ve added an extra SERVICE CHARGE‼️😳

This place still offers great food. Used to be a regular and found the staff really good too but on the last visit found that not to be the case. Not sure why the staff have suddenly become so poor but it doesn't make for a great meal. Not cheap and add service on top which is possibly why they feel like they don't have to make any effort? Food still top notch imo, so it's a shame front of house is such a let down.

Really nice restaurant. Gets really busy so I'd recommend booking. I'm dairy intolerant but they really catered for me. Would highly recommend.

Ordered dinner for me and my partner that turn up wrong so made wait for another 10-15 minutes to have the rest of my meal and then found a piece of Metal in my curry. This really turned me off my meal so didn’t eat much dinner. Only got a refund for one meal and a beer.

I love this place. 2 plain naan, 2 tandoori main and a Bombay potato = heaven. The vibe of the local Indian is hard to capture. You need a specific price point and product quality. It can’t be too cheap nor too expensive. The food needs to taste good but not be fancy. Baltizer is a Goldilocks Indian, everything is just right. I only hope it never changes.

If you want a very expensive average Curry, please check out ther Baltizer. The staff are very accommodating and really nice,however, make sure you check your bag and tally it up to the receipt otherwise you might find your £75 takeaway is £10 short of breads. As a restaurant, it's OK, but be prepared to pay a lot of money for OK.

Been using Baltizer for 20 years. Always good and better value then some others in Bexley Village.

Empty restaurant so not busy, so no excuse for bad service. Bought out mains, completely forgot starters. No apologises ! Mains was not great with missing items, service bad throughout and had to ask for drinks time and time again as waiter forgot. More interested in takeaway and telephone orders. Last visit was good but this time was rubbish. Offered us one beer to share after complaining which I do not feel was satisfactory. Did not ask for a cheap meal just good food service. Would not recommend after today.

Came here on a Thursday night with friends. We booked ahead but upon arrival it seems not many people are going out these days. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. We had popadoms, starters, mains, sides, naan breads and everything was delicious, especially the aubergine bargy. I would definitely come back to this restaurant

Had a table within the restaurant, service staff were polite and helpful. Each course arrived timely. Papadums and the side were nice. Chicken Tikka Starter was tasty but unfortunately not hot the portion size was mediocre and side salad was more of a plate decoration. Lamb madras was superb Coconut rice was great too. Nann bread was hot and fresh too. Overall experience was good. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Took our daughter for her first Indian and the waiter was very informative about what a first timer may/may not like. Obviously we had an idea ourselves but it was nice for our daughter to have a personalised experience from the expert. Prices were reasonable and as expected. Will definitely be back again soon. Ps. She enjoyed everything!

A very pleasant small restaurant in a railway arch. I have been taking friends and family here for twenty years and never had a bad meal. Service is always good - they are family friendly. Due to Covid-19 they have upgraded their takeaway service

A friend and I went midweek. We ordered a chicken Madres and a Lamb Rogan Josh. Both were good, my negative thought was that there could have been a bit more meat in both dishes. The popodoms were fresh and the man good. I would revisit when in the area.

Dont go here unless you want to drink tap water, or remortgage your house to pay the bill! Each drink is the best part of £4, And that's for just a normal coke.

But I didn’t pay, so I can’t say anything about value for money. However the food was good, maybe the samosas were a bit stodgy but the naan was the best I’ve eaten for years. Curries were all good, with some interesting selections, service was top quality and the room was nice (the occasional train rumbling overhead added something, but I’m not sure what). All in all worth a revisit at my own expense.

Baltizer vaguely refers to Mughals the in Bengal.It has some reference to star of Islam.Although the food is average and the decor plain the price does not concede to the lack of decor or food.The restaurant has no ambience.It should be a take away instead of a restaurant.

A lovely small restaurant, great service, great food. Plenty of choices, staff are not overly attentive, you are left to enjoy you meal and the company you are with. The flavours are divine, it is just one of the best restaurants serving Indian cuisine in the area. Try it, but ensure you book a table, they are very busy.

Visited Bexley on business and called for a meal, the service was friendly and fast and the food was tasty, hot and as described. I would visit again

Possibly the worst Indian food I've had. Went to this restaurant as a group of 5. Good was horrible & VERY salty. Ordered poppadoms which came to £8, but then they charge you nearly £4 for the chukneys (Never been charged for them before). Ordered a chicken tikka side & got 4 tiny cubes of chicken, which was terrible for the price of £4.50. The bill came to £140 in total with a 10% compulsory service charge & then they didn't even give us the £6 change!! Would not reccomend this to anybody as the food was awful & prices a complete joke.

We haven't been to this restaurant in a while but decided to go back there. We booked a table for 4. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. We were seated but left waiting a good 10 minutes before we were offered a drink. The menu has changed since our last visit and seemed a tad expensive. We ordered our food and again waited a fair length of time considering customers who sat down after us were happily eating their dinner. When our food arrived it was lukewarm and very greasy which was masked by smothering it in chilli. We paid our bill and left feeling deflated as this used to be lovely. It seems that it has been taken over by new people of which the restaurant has lost it's former quality. We will not be returning any time soon.

We have visited this restaurant twice now and we can only say what wonderful food, excellent service and a perfect venue. Been midweek and on a weekend, both times we were greeted with a smile and by a polite member of staff. They have the balance of being attentive and letting you enjoy your meal and the company you are with just right. The food is very good and varied. The venue is not to big so ideal for smaller groups. Give it a try, you'll regret it if you don't.

12 of us dined at Baltizer for a birthday on the 20th of August and all very much enjoyed our mealsI went for the dry Lamb Sarga which was appropriately spicy and utterly deliciousThe rice dishes were great and the sides all hot and tastyThe service was very friendly and we will certainly be back

Food is lovely but..... Expensive... They are really tight on the chicken, literally four maybe five small pieces... Chicken is so cheap but they must be really tight... You can spend £40 + no fees popadoms... Tight f**kers

Three of us went to the Baltizer and I can’t believe I’ve never been there before - the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was the best Indian food I’ve ever had !

A hidden little curry restaurant. They offer great food, every time we have gone, we have left extremely satisfied with our food. Always very tasty.

Tried some new Main Courses (curry with coconut &sugar;) with egg fries rice, lamb tikka and onion bhaji starter. Shredded chicken in flour & fried starter with 6 Pappodoms

Food not very spicy and very sweet. Table of 5, nobody enjoyed the food. Very disappointed. Can't recommend it. Avoid!!

Love curry house situated under the railway arches. Does get very busy so I would book first. Staff are very good polite and helpful. Sometimes you may have to wait a little while for your food but it’s worth the wait all food served fresh hot and tastes amazing. Lots of different choices on the menu and quite reasonably priced. Drink selection is good too all in all I would definitely recommended this place and return.

I took my Sri Lankan parents to this restaurant, which is always a great test of the cooking. They were both suitably impressed. Lots of flavour and some clever subtle differences from the usual.

We found the food good, don’t have much to say about the menu, it was nice, no complaints. The establishment is ok enough, nothing special, small, smart, not anything fancy at all but perfectly ok for a local curry.

For me this is the best Indian restaurant South of the river. Really fantastic food. The best part about it though is the impeccable service.

Food was okay/ hospitality wasn’t... basically bullied out from 9.30pm onwards... assuming they had somewhere else to go as they were shutting up shop and being awkward at best, aggressive at worst ... they also own maharaja (opposite) so if you want a curry don’t bother going to Bexley it’s a pretty awful monopoly.

Went out for a nice curry with the family. Waiters were friendly and the korma was especially good. I would recommend!

We went as a group of 7 "mature" couples on a Saturday night. Most meals were average at best, but some were awful; dry dinner, excessive raw chillies in a mild dish, and sparse portions. When the chillies were complained about, the waiter was insistent that they were spring onions - absolute rubbish!! At £75 per couple this was not a cheap curry night either. Avoid!

We were booked originally into the Greek taverna on Mother’s Day but due to them overbooking we couldn’t even get into the restaurant which was just appalling with a 70 year old mum in tow and so we left after standing in the rain for half an hour! Happened to walk past the Baltizer and popped in on the off chance, who welcomed and seated us immediately. Food was beautiful, fresh and delicious. Service was great. It saved Mother’s Day and we will most definitely be returning, as well as using this as our new local take away!

Buy a takeaway as food is good. Do not book restaurant as some staff ignorant and automatic service charge applied for over 5 people. I have no issue for paying for good service but when automatically applied for poor / rude service I disagree. Very disappointed as I introduced some new friends to restaurant.

Sited in railway arches it is a cosy little place for a good curry. The meal is interesting as in has a dozen or so Chef’s specials that give you something different. The service is friendly and prompt enough. Why rush when you are out for a family meal. Everyone reported good food and at a reasonable price, well worth another visit.

I was very tentative of visiting this establishment at first due to the competing restaurant opposite which seemed to be busier.

No estaba muy seguro sobre esto, porque no parecía como estar de moda como su frente a rivales y no había mucha gente aquí en una noche de viernes. Sin embargo, el personal era agradable y educado, la comida era decente y el precio (136 euros para 6 personas con una botella de buen vino y otras bebidas alcohólicas), así que ¿por qué no es este lugar lleno? No tengo la respuesta a eso, pero sin duda volveré.

Fuimos a los amigos con una muy buena comida, buen servicio volveremos muy recomendable!

Menu is overpriced. And is different to the actual menu. Food is great shame about over pricing.
