Closed for refurb ,never opened again what a shame great food .tried leaving messages no reply . Tried to find their other outlets (Croydon , Camberley, Beckenham .)

waited 2 hours for the order they accepted and took my money for, called numerous times and got no response. Eventually drove down to the restaurant and it was closed for refurbishment. Really disappointed

We ordered from here on a Saturday night, knowing it would be a little busy, and having not ordered from here previously. The staff contacted us just before the food was due to let us know it would be a bit later and to apologise for this, which I felt was a lovely thing to do as most places would wait for you to contact them. I should add now that the food was only 10 minutes late, so it made it even more appreciated that they had taken the time to call no matter how late the food would be. When the food arrived, the delivery driver (who was sent directly from the restaurant and not through UberEats, Just Eat etc) also apologised for the food being a little late. Everything was piping hot still and the portion sizes were really good, especially for the very reasonable prices. The food tasted great and the meal was filling, and we had plenty of leftovers. I’m glad we decided to try somewhere different as I feel confident knowing that I could rely on a good meal where I feel that any issues would be properly dealt with by the restaurant in a professional manner.

The is the best Indian restaurant in sidcup! Great food & service. The only negative is that they never have enough cold bottles of Kingfisher!

I've never had a problem ordering takeaway from Papadam. Always been nice food. However, on this occasion, I ordered a 1.5l Coca Cola costing £2.50 to go with my meal. A 330ml can of Coca Cola came. Phoned up & explained the situation, thinking it might have been a mistake. Lady answered & then pass me on to a man. He said that it was my fault for not ordering a bottle instead. There is no option to order either a can or bottle. Luckily I took a screenshot of the menu I ordered from via their App. I would never order a can of coke for £2.50! As for blaming me, I will no longer use this Indian again. Shame.

Lovely decor, quality and tasty food, excellent service, lots of choices including South indian, definitely recommend the sharing starter and the sharing desserts, will go back.

Our party food was fantastic! We had the guys from Papadam cater for our party last night. The food was beautiful. It arrived on time, piping hot and delicious! We used to cater for our own parties but after eating at this fabulous restaurant we decided to use them Raj was helpful and suggested the best dishes and organised the serving dishes and heating devices to keep it all hot. Our guest were all highly complimentary of all the dishes. If you haven’t tried this restaurant, you should. People tell us all the time about different Indian restaurants, and usually they are all much of a muchness, Papadam is very different. If you need any occasion catered for, these guys won’t let you down.

First takeaway tonight , i will say honesty that two meals out of four were nice, However I do not enjoy my food rainbow coloured. Why the need to do this? My son had Tikka Masala and I thought it was a carton full of ketchup. Yoghurt dip Canary Yellow? My Salmon Tikka also very Red with just a pile of greasy fried onions thrown on top, peppers would have been nice. Popadoms all crushed and broken. It was the same price (not cheap ) as another Indian restaurant close by but half the quality in my opinion. I don't think I would rush back. Drop the colourings honestly its not needed.

This is our local and absolutely love it. Have ordered a couple of times from here and keep going back! Never fails, food arrives on time and delicious as always.

Good restaurant but just increased prices. The new prices are outrageous so will now go elsewhere for my Indian kick unfortunately.

I ordered a take away for my wife as I was going out and I have an account with this restaurant. The food arrived very quickly and was very poor quality: Chicken Balti - The chicken was overcooked and hard and clearly had not been cooked in the sauce Basmati rice - The rice was cold nd congealed Mushroom bhaji - The mushrooms were virtually raw and tasteless Paratha - Cold The bil was more than £17 and virtually all of it went into the bin. We have used Papadom many times in the past but will NOT be going back.

We went to this restaurant after previously having a takeaway which did not dissapoint The food we had eating in exceeded our expectations it was wonderful if not the best Indian restaurant in sidcup couldn't fault the food or the service We Will DEFINATLY BE Back.

Visited the papadam for the first time 25th August waiter was on his own but done a good job serving all tables a small but friendly restaurant food was very good and fresh well worth a visit

Specific items on the menu are mouth watering and for other items there is a lot of room for improvement, staff is friendly and comforting.

I have eaten here every week during the “Eat Out To Help Out” and on all 3 occasions the food has been outstanding. Every dish, I have had from the rice to main course has been prepared to perfection. The solitary waiter does an amazing job, running round keeping everybody happy, and providing excellent service. Papadam really is up there with the best Indian food in the area. Compliments to the kitchen and the very busy waiter.

Our first try at the Papadam and what a great choice this turned out to be! Used for takeaway and couldn’t be happier. Staff friendly and attentive, food delicious. Not Too much ghee which is important to us. Will have no hesitation In coming back and eating in. This will become our new regular, thanks guys!

I am the take away king when it come's to an idian. I have tried many currys in many areas and Papadam is definately the one to go for, you wont be dissapointed. 5star all the way.

Myself and my husband visited here Saturday 29th Feb 2020 for dinner whilst staying at the Travelodge hotel in Sidcup. The food was gorgeous and reasonable priced, a calm and pleasant atmosphere, the staff attentive and possible the most welcoming and generous Ive come across. A little further off the end of the high street, it is worth walking a little further down to this hidden gem! We will definitely be returning and recommending for eating in and take away/delivery!

I ate here on Christmas Eve with my family and head a lovely meal. I went for the tandoori mixed grill and a few side dishes. All were cooked really well. The service was good and we were well looked after. We were also given a free drink on the house following our meal which was a nice touch.

Excellent food. Reasonably priced. Good service. Pleasant atmosphere. Will go again.

I have always enjoyed my meals the vegetarian option is marvellous. The meals taste orthetic even the chilli hot choices.

Went last night with another couple the waiter was really pleasant, which is more than can be said about the food. Took awhile for the waiter to arrive, although wasn’t his fault as he was on his own. My starters was the fish cake which when it arrived looked ok until I ate it, it was absolutely tasteless all it tasted of was unseasoned potato hardly a trace a fish. This was followed by one of their speciality called Farcha, it arrived in a really pasty thick sauce that again didn’t have much flavour. My husband didn’t enjoy his meal either, we shall not be going back not to our taste...

A group of six well lubricated men popped into the Papadam late one Saturday night and were warmly met. Fantastic attentive service really looked after us with a very satisfying meal.

Food is very nice, the sizzling king prawns was amazing. Also the customer service was very good.

Quick solo lamb Rogan, basmati rice, chapatti washed down with cobra lager just under £15. I was only customer, but chef was doing take always. Small place, pleasant. Thier own specialist dishes looked interesting, maybe next time. Polite, friendly service although I think over water should always be offered to accompany a spicy meal to be honest.

We have just moved back to Sidcup (after 20 years), and while moving into our now home have been trying some of the local restaurants which has been enjoyable. We really thought we had found a treat with this restaurant as we had eaten here twice in the last week and really enjoyed the service, food and general experience. However, we took our 3 children in here (ages 8, 7 and 2 weeks) this evening and unfortunately near the end of our meal my son spat a large piece of sharp plastic in bedded in his Naan which ate and spat out. I calmly informed the waiter (who had been pleasant previously) and i expected his responsive to be very apologetic and a explanation of how it wouldn't happen again. However, he said that the plastic was not burnt so therefore was not be in the food and my son was lying. I explained this was my 3rd visit to the restaurant in 10 days and again he accused me of lying (im happy to provide receipts), finally, he asked me to pay the bill and i refused due to a LARGE piece of plastic being in a 8 years olds foods, he accused us of "being one of those customers". I accuse you of Being "one of those restaurants", A response from a manager would be good (hopefully this guy wasn't the owner if so should be reported),. Shame on you!

Great curry house. We get a take away from them almost every Friday and it's spot on.

Friends and I have been here three times. On each occasion the food has been brilliant. The service however has always been terrible. I could have seen governments change whilst waiting for order to be taken and empires fall whilst watching people who arrived well after us served before.

I have been to this restaurant several times midweek and can always get a table. The restaurant is small and sometimes my friend and I can be the only customers in there. The staff are friendly and the food is always good and not expensive. If I order a takeaway this is the place we order from too. Love this little restaurant .

Had meal for 6 (dinner). Excellent quality of food. Service very good. Dishes eaten, chicken biriyani, chicken dansak, chicken tikka masala, vegetable curry, onion bhajis, mushroom/pillau rice. Would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant that has been here for a long time. Hygiene rating 4.

Lack lustre fascade. Nice interior. Long wait for food. Watered down beer. Awful food . Cannot be bothered to write anymore. This place is rubbish .

The Papadam is a small restaurant at the end of the High Street at the top of Sidcup Hill, but don’t be fooled - they serve the best curry in the South East. The service used to be a bit slow, which was its only fault, but now even this is good. I can’t recommend this place high enough

Well the Management here keep surpassing themselves in Food and Service. They suggested 2 new dishes which were out of this world. This restaurant is small and not at the prime end of the High Street but a Jewel!! Great Service with a Smile and Great Value.Try the Lamp Parsi and the Sag Chilli Chicken!

Do Not visit this restaurant if you are a vegan me and my brother went for a Christmas meal I ordered a vegetable dish I asked the waiter before I ordered and he said mixed vegetables so I ordered it. When it arrived I began eating it but I noticed something else in with the dish so I asked the waiter what was it and he replied cheese to which I replied I am allergic to cheese and told him to take it away and he said well U could just eat the vegetables but I was already beginning to feel sick. When the Bill arrived he charged me for the meal so I said but I did not eat the meal and he said but I have to charge you and I said but you put cheese in the meal and I told you I am allergic he said but I told you it was mixed vegetables and I said cheese is not a mixed vegetable but he continued to say but I said it was mixed vegetables on this conversation went on for five minutes he did not get it that cheese was not a mixed vegetable anyway it wasn’t about the cheese been in my meal it was about the waiters Lack of compassion and sympathy and there was no apology which upset me the most

Ordered from here for the first time yesterday and was very impressed. The food arrived exactly when it said it would and all the dishes were really nice. They’re poadom tikka masala(I believe it’s balti chicken tikka masala) was really good. Will be ordering again from here.

Asked for something with plenty of flavour and a little kick and was recommended the chicken bhuna. Also ordered sag paneer, onion baji and peshwari man and the whole lot was superb. Lovely bits of chicken and just so tasty. I don't normally leave reviews but felt I had to for this curry house. Highly recommended.

The Rice was very greasy and it must have been soaked in cooking oil and the potatoes were cheap and flavourless proberly why they were generous with the portion size. Would never order from here again. On a plus note the delivery driver was polite and friendly.

Ordered a collection for the family on a weekday, cannot fault one dish in our order. The food was outstanding, was so fresh and full of flavour! Even when we was so full up we just kept on eating!

The food here is amongst the best that I have ever eaten. So fresh. Food can take long to come out but that's because it's all made to order. The lamb shank is flawless.
